The room was very nice and modern. Valet parking efficient.
The resort fee was an unnecessary and unreasonable charge. The Friday night brunch is $50 apiece and worth under $20. They served dried our turkey breast at the carving station that had to be covered in gravey. The beef chunks were very tough. Don't eat there. Bring snacks and drinks. A bottle of beer is $4.50 the resort store. Poolside service is only during summer. This is Southern California. Summer is year around.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were very nice with lots of places to sit and enjoy them.
They have concerts on Friday night and they are quite loud, we were not notified they would be going on. I think that guest should be advised when they make their resevations.
The water slide for kids was pretty cool and the food was good, although pricy.
Self parking is really far from the rooms. Plus you have to walk up a steep hill to get from the parking to your room. They don't have ramps to some of the areas. Had to carry out stroller down to the pool with the slide. The walls in rooms are really thin. Our room was next to the maid service room so pretty much the whole nights we would hear door slamming, people talking and carts being moved around. On our last night we could hear a couple arguing in the next room for like an hour. We could literally hear every word. We had two small children with us so all the noise would wake them up. Pictures on the web look nice but in real life the hotel is not even close to it. The lobby is the only nice area in the hotel.
Very quiet and relaxing. The grounds are well kept, the room was very spacious. There are a lot of activities and the location of the hotel is great, you can drive to the beach in 5 minutes, fashion island is next door and Sherman's gardens are just down the road.
Parking is expensive ($25/day) and the lot is a bit of a hike from the hotel depending on which room you have.
The rooms I experienced were tired and worn With your doorway opening underneath a stairway along with the construction taking place it is unacceptable as a resort As I waited to be moved to a different room , other guests stood in the hallway waiting to have their own room issues rectified Bellman was helpful but my request to speak to a manager was not responded to Upon check out the clerk asked me twice if I had had the breakfast ( as I was lying the first time) but not if I had enjoyed my stay and with the older noisy air conditioner it was hardly an enjoyable room At that time I asked to speak to the Manager after a few minute wait I was told he's busy right now I stayed at another nearby property for the rest of the week and will not be back and I will be sure to relay my experience
Rooms were excellent, the bar was great, looks of hotel, and the pool hot tub area were amazing
We love this hotel and we stay here often. This latest visit was a little rough. The room we stayed in had a broken lock on the sliding glass and a very noisy toilet. We also had very noisy neighbors. Great staff that reacts quickly, but the issues this time were significant. Sarah and Greg are fantastic bartenders.
Freshly renovated rooms with all new appointments-excellent. Staff was very helpful with wifi issues.
Surprised me with extra fee($57), resort fee and parking fee. Kayak price was great until you added extra fees and taxes which added up to not that much of a discount.
Kids liked the waterslide and pool area. Rooms were clean and newer décor. Refrigerator in every room was handy.
Electricity was out for part of a night due to an upgrade, was this necessary during a holiday week? Hotel staff was prepared and notified us as to what would take place though. Parking and resort fees seem high for property.
Very courteous staff and well kept facilities.
Room wasn't what I expected. My pool view was actually the view of a wall. Room was smaller than expected with no patio or balcony and beds were only full size versus queen.
Nice facilities and very helpful staff.
The couple we went with paid 100 dollars less for the same size room. Upon arriving at 9pm hotel didn't have our rooms ready and had to "shuffle things around".
