8.0 Excellent
Pros: Dinner was excellent, relaxing ambience, nice staff members, features of old inn preserved, nice front porch to sit on, dinner and breakfast on screen porch, no TV so had to find other things to do. would definitely go back
Cons: not their fault but wifi and 3G not great and no common room to sit in - all rooms on lower floor were for dining and bar. Maybe add a few more chairs to front porch.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The candlelight breakfast was a new experience, but really charming and relaxing. The dining rooms were beautiful. I didn't want to leave!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is always so gracious. A true New England getaway peaceful, beautiful and the most perfect place to just simply unwind. The food was superb! Cocktails and wine in the bar icing on the cake!
Cons: We should have planned to stay longer
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was exceptional
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous old Inn with beautiful spa bath. Food was delicious!
Cons: Service in the restaurant wasn't great the first night. The hostess helped us on multiple occasions as our waiter was rarely around. Also, it was cold the second night and the room was advertised as one with a fireplace but there was no grill, wood, or screen so lighting a fire was not an option.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: As always, a wonderful visit to a welcoming New England inn which features an amazing fine dining experience in their historic, candle-lit dining room. A gem.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good & sufficient. Dinner was excellent.
Cons: The room was very noisy because it was above the dining room. We couldn't get the internet in our room. We had to go out into the hallway. Disappointed there was no TV in the room. We would have liked to have a social area that we could have hung out in.
3.7 Mediocre
Cons: Wifi

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very hospitable hosts, beautiful property and lovely rooms.would definitely come back.lot to do in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had to be in the area on last-minute notice for an event so reserved the last available room, the Lincoln. The house is beautiful. The architecture is turn-of-the-twentieth century grand but the interior is welcoming, comfortable and feels like a family home from another era. I appreciated the interior style: it's not cute or fussy or sentimentally decorated -- no heart-shaped cushions or lacy antimacassars. One of the many plusses of the house is the variety of public spaces: a library, a double living room, a lovely sun room overlooking colorful gardens, and a beautifully decorated dining room (notice the museum-quality, embossed wall paper), which give guests the opportunity to gather in small groups or couples with a sense of privacy. Our room was small but nicely designed in period style: comfortable bed, two capacious arm chairs in front of a wood-burning fireplace (not useful in this season but would be appealing in winter), but more importantly in summer a new, well-functioning air conditioning unit, essential during the muggy, late-July weather of our visit. Kristen and Adam are perfect hosts: hospitable, personable and accommodating -- relaxed personally but meticulous professionally. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived late in the evening and Mike stayed on property to welcome us and show us round the B&B. We have stayed at lots of B&Bs in the area as our kids go to boarding school there ..... this was the nicest we have been too ...... even had good pressure and hot water in the shower :)...... plus a lovely cooked to order breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended if you are in the Berkshires.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were lovely, the house was old and charming, yet comfortable, and the breakfast was tasty!
Cons: No complaints
9.5 Excellent
Pros: the owners were wonderful hosts. the food was really good. We love old houses and this one is quite lovely, with well kept grounds and gardens.
Cons: I'm always preferring a king size bed since I'm 6'5" but the one room that had one here was already taken, so I had to compromise with a room and two singles. No ones fault but mine for being so tall.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved it!!!
7.0 Good
Pros: we liked the location, to get to lime rock park, CT. Mike and Chris were very nice, made a very good breakfast.... Very clean room and bathroom.... Bed comfy, extra pillows and towels as requested..Nice! It was a very hot weekend, so though we had an air conditioned room, and a private bath just for us, the bath was down the hall with no AC, too hot/humid for a comfortable shower-fan did not make it any better, and a hassle to get there quick(need shoes, bathrobe, a light..similar to camping) Next time when I ask for private bath will make sure it is IN ROOM. Maybe best to stay during fall, winter, spring... Good restaraunts nearby, and antiquing... interesting history of house, decorated/furnished nicely, pretty gardens
Cons: See above...that the bathroom was not IN ROOM.....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mike & Chris were very friendly and met all our needs. The breakfasts were freshly cooked with a different breakfast each day which was very tasty.

Pros: The breakfast was wonderful and she accommodated my gluten free husband. Sausages, scrambled eggs with spinach and 3 cheeses, toast, blueberry muffin, fruit salad with yogurt, orange juice and coffee.
Cons: I should have brought my earplugs to work against the sound of the room air conditioner....but was very thankful to have that room air conditioner as it was a hot day!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were to attend a graduation in the morning but unfortunately one of us developed a medical crisis. Our hostess was supportive and helpful. She offered to let us stay until the resolution of the crisis. We opted to drive home which took and hour and half. Sherri feels better and will be seeing her doctor today. Thanks.

Pros: Breakfast was large and expertly prepared.
Cons: No complaints.

9.7 Excellent
Pros: I loved the price and was expecting the price to reflect the place but it didn't. The location was perfect. The room was nice and spacious with very nice furniture sleigh bed. The owner was very friendly and quick to offer help and advice. Me and my wife were there for a wedding late returns and un-bothered late mornings were welcome as you would expect at a bed and breakfast. I got to tour my other family's accommodations which was the same style and luxury as mine but for 3-4 times the price :) would return.
Cons: The bathroom was on the small side, breakfast could have had bit more taste to it these are your two down falls for being perfect.

Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly. Vintage stylish and unique rooms and the BEST breakfast I’ve ever had at any hotel/inn. Seriously the best.
Cons: Rooms are not exactly sound proof. We could hear people from the other room yelling at 1am... but staff was very friendly and helped us remind them to be quiet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everybody was so loving and friendly.felt like being with family!!!!!!superb!!!!!!!!!!
Cons: nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: This is a place to relax and unwind. Very health-oriented. No television in the room (important for some), but that was not missed, and that was a surprise to me. Beautiful breakfast spread. Convenient.
Cons: This is not for the person who wants every modern convenience. If you haven't stayed at a B&B, understand that it's not a Holiday Inn. Unique and Victorian in atmosphere; might not appeal to those who need to bury their heads in a smartphone to feel "alive".
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent and healthy. But staff/service was also excellent. The lounge area with games etc and choice of teas was very comfortable/Homely.
Cons: Probably need to modernise the central heating system . No need to replace radiators but just the valves. Not that we were cold just a guess at winter coming.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The back patio was large and very comfortable. The fireflies came out as we were sitting there, very surreal. The room was very comfortable. Everything bespoke the care the owners have put into it.
Cons: The air conditioner in the room was not up to the task of the very hot weather we faced.

A Meadow House - Lakeville - Building
10
9.2 Excellent (12 reviews)
7.5 Good
Pros: It was cute and quaint. That part of the country is really beautiful.
Cons: Had to share a bathroom with other guests. Parking was limited. It's a self serve place, i.e. there is no host. One has to just follow instructions from little posits all over the place. It is also very small, the other guest while very nice, and we had a pleasant conversation with them, were totally unavoidable. Finally, take the pumpkins off the stairs! I just about killed myself trying to get down the narrow steep steps, avoiding the pictures hanging on the wall to my left and the pumpkins on the steps to my right.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect for our jaunt.
5.5 Okay
Cons: It was super weird. Nothing bad and the house was sweet but it looked like someone lived there and just left prior to our arrival. Their clothes and mementos were EVERYWHERE. It could be charming but it just felt weird.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Did not partake breakfast, but was available.
Cons: Television did not work for me, but read a good book instead.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Unusually quaint and quite comfortable small facility chock full of antiques located right across the road from a world famous sports car racing facility, Lime Rock,CT. The owner is quite personable and savvy of the Sports Car Racing World and its participants who stay there regularly. Full size shared bath was pleasant, "home-like" as well, that one would expect with plenty of hot water and fluffy towels.
Cons: There might be a little more instruction about the operation of direct TV.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything. We love Terry. Our biggest problem is how effusively positive to be because we dread finding there is no availability next time we want to stay.
Cons: We wish we had had more time to spend there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cozy, friendly location, great host. Looking forward to our Labor Day stay!

Location was good for us, and the Inn is very clean, great King bed, and nice privacy. The breakfast was good, without being 'over the top'. 5.0 Okay
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Srarting with the door lock, horrible lighting, crumby furniture the lisy goes on. Was parking cost built into the room cost ? Breakfast was appalling, we had to go somewhere else.. THERE WAS ALMOST NO HOT WATER IN THE SHOWER.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Sitting area to watch TV and desk in the room.
5.5 Okay
Cons: Room was cold
7.5 Good
Pros: Close to Lime Rock
Cons: Price of location
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything worked out very well.
6.8 Good
Pros: They let us check in early.
Cons: Too expensive for the type of room and amenities.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This was a charming hotel which was very well maintained. We particularly liked the room size which was large enough to have chairs for TV watching. The location on the main road in Lakeville is good.
Cons: There was some delay at checkin. The continental breakfast in the morning was a few minutes late in opening. The breakfast offerings were conventional and would be have benefited from more interesting baked goods.
7.5 Good
Pros: location and clean
Cons: two remotes for tv confusing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: location in lakeville was excellent
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I like the fact that the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Also the proximity of the in to our home in Millerton made it a convenient stay over.
Cons: A minor detail was the fact that there was no remote unit to control the air conditioning and so when it got cold at night we had to manually stretch our legs arms up to manage the air conditioner.

7.5 Good
Pros: Good set up and a bolt hole evening /nights. Took a while to check out
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location for our needs; quiet room.
Cons: The bed was not very comfortable; my back ached when I woke up this morning. I also had quite a bit of mucus build up overnight, which indicates the possibility that the room was likely a smoking room in a previous iteration of this older property.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean; Fresh appearance; Friendly staff
Cons: The in/out traffic pattern is difficult; The low-form toilets are hard for elderly to use; The breakfast is a bit spartan.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Ummm, this may take awhile. Lol
Cons: Facility needs a major overhaul. A/C unit sounded like it was coughing up a lung every couple of minutes. I would not walk barefoot on the carpet, very "crunchy". Place smelled of mildew or mold. Pillows and matress are thin, very thin. Woke up with an ache in my lower back every morning. Facility has an abundance of parking but, leaving the parking lot is a challenge and you can only turn right and go up the hill and accessing RT8 north or south is down the hill from Days Inn so, you'll need to find a way to either turn around up the hill (not an easy task with all the traffic) or go around the long way and find another entrance to RT8 via GPS. It's not the worst place I've stayed at but, I've stayed at much nicer places for $75 avg/night. I believe Days Inn is soaking up as much revenue they can without renovating before they sell.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The pictures show the real physical layout of the hotel.f
Cons: The air conditioner did not get cold enough during the night even after we tried to lower the thermostat and the bathroom ceiling was peeling.
7.5 Good
Cons: The picture did not work on the TV. The audio did, but after a minute or two the "no signal" message came on and the video did not function. Room 208.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Probably represents value for money but guessing that I much prefer spend a few more dollars and get a more comfortable place.
Cons: Breakfast offered in a tiny reception lobby is not my cup of tea. Also, nowhere to relax other than your room is a nuisance. I got what I paid for.
6.8 Good
Pros: Checkin was smooth and pleasant
Cons: Chemical smell overwhelming. Only 12 seats for breakfast.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was a convenient stop to visit old friends as we were driving into NY State. The room was comfortable with convenient parking. The staff was helpful.
Cons: It’s awkward to drive in or leave the property due to restrictions on left hand turns from the street out front. Better signage would be helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely clean !
5.8 Okay
Pros: Check in check out was easy
Cons: My non smoking room smelled disgusting. I have stayed there multiple times and each time was just nasty. If people are gonna smoke make them smoke outside and not my Someone else room window !!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean, bed was comfortable, great coffee and breakfast food, staff were friendly, plenty of parking,it was a pleasant experience,if I go back to Torrington,I will go back there.

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing good about this place!
Cons: It was the worst motel that I stayed in my life: Smelly, dark, dirty with holes in the linens, bad bathroom appointments, etc. It should be condemned!
5.8 Okay
Pros: It was clean and in a fairly rural location.
Cons: Upon arrival, I was met by the owner/manager of the property. Seems nice enough and then seems puzzled... he tells me that I already checked in. Now I’m puzzled because it means that he’s given away the room that I booked. Bathroom layout was weird in our room... which wasn’t a big deal as we just needed a place to sleep and get a shower before we left. Speaking of showers; the plumbing was messed up in our room. Water temp had no mixer to it; it was either scalding hot or off.
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location!
Cons: Bigger bathroom and address water damage to room.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Leaving
Cons: Bathrooms Too small very uncomfortable
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything is fantastic. We will stay again when in the area for sure . BEAUTIFUL area and great motel.
5.5 Okay
Cons: Although the manager was accommodating the facilities were old and in need of some updates. Initially there was not sufficient hot water. I would classify the housekeeping to be below average. There was no provision for any morning beverages or anything to nibble-on in the a.m. However, the location was excellent for the event I was attending.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: The bed featured rumpled sheets with strands of someone else's hair. There was no soap in the bathroom when I arrived.
6.8 Good
Pros: It is a modest property that is clean but short on amenities. Very basic. One window was stuck open with no screen. AC worked well, comfortable beds, cheap towels and sheets.
Cons: Friendly, helpful staff.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Tidy
Cons: Overpriced and dated. The Air Conditioner was not on all day and it took hours to cool the room on a steamy night.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location was close to Kent, CT which was our destination. That was the only thing going for it.
Cons: The bathroom was in the process of being remodeled and the floor was a wood subfloor. The toilet was not anchored to the floor and moved when you sat on it. Would have been horrible if we had kids with us as floor was rough and walls had holes with loose sections. I advised the front desk person that the room should not have been rented out until it had been finished.

4.3 Okay
Pros: The air conditioner & tv worked fine.
Cons: Bathroom door wouldn’t close and the door handle was broken. No towel bar or hook for wet towels or clothes. The carpet wasn’t vacuumed properly. Stains on the linens as well as a hole in the top sheet. The pillows were flat. Overall it was not a good experience!☹️
