Staff was friendly and helpul especially the shuttle van driver. I love the fact that they had a free shuttle to drop you off and pick you back up from the MGM and the National Harbor. Bar inside looked very nice and there was a great drink Harbor drink The only thing was our room had a lot of dust. Also Iwas thinking the hotel was at the Harbor
The modern and fresh styling was fantastic! Everything was so clean and new. It looked like a 5 star hotel that should cost twice as much as it did.
Very fancy and nice looking. Great rooms and polite staff. Breakfast was nice. Complimentary shuttle was over 30min. behind schedule. We were told it would be there at 12:00pm and we had to be at our appointment at 12:30. When it was apparent it would not be on time, the staff offered to call us a cab and charge us for it. Uncool!

The location is close to National Harbor Everything is old and in a bad neighborhood. Undesirable people just hanging around. My room was dirty.The wooden chair had an arm that fell off. The maid never replaced my toiletries and tissues and toilet paper. No restaurant either

the location was very close to the MGM casino, which was our destination. lobby was good looking, breakfast buffet was decent. property WAS very clean, that was the best part. No coffee makers in the rooms, VERY cramped bathroom, SLOW SLOW SLOW elevators- seemed only 1 was working most of the time- NO BUSINESS CENTER?? REALLY?? Pool not open, no hot tub, gym was 3 pieces of equipment. fell short of the star rating for sure

Good range of breakfast items; breakfast seating area is nicely decorated. Hotel was quiet (no street noise) and perfectly located for a conference across the street at the Gaylord Resort. Parking nearby. Did not understand that I needed to keep my room key after hotel checkout to be able to get out the parking garage (since parking fee was put on my hotel bill). Had to back out of garage exit (with other cars behind me), repark, walk back to hotel to figure this out. Bed not very comfortable (mattress saggy and needs replacing).
I like the fact it was right next to the Gaylord No refrigerator, numerous guests were complaining. No cups only coffee. Bathroom was not stocked. The walk from the garage to the hotel is less than pleasant. The garage is a public garage. Minimal parking, one elevator. Trying to move luggage from elevator across a street with numerous other people parking and riding elevator. Very small loading area in front of hotel. Not what I am use to when it comes to Hampton Inn.
Across the street from the convention center The heater in my room rattled loudly, waking me up several times a night. The door connecting my room to my neighbors was not well-sealed or did not provide much of a sound barrier--I was disrupted from sleep and work multiple times by neighbors loud conversation.
The staff was great, super friendly and very helpful. The free breakfast was absolutely the best I have had in a hotel, and I have to say, most of the time when you get a free breakfast, you know right where to get it because it looks like a cafeteria. I had to ask where to get the breakfast because all I saw was what looked like a beautiful comfortable restaurant with nice atmosphere, comfy chairs, flat screen tvs. Well, that was the place for the free breakfast! I loved that you were getting a free breakfast in a much more luxurious atmosphere.
The bed was very comfortable and it was so easy to fall asleep in. The staff were helpful in answering questions that I had and made the stay that much more enjoyable. Would have liked to have had bacon for protein rather than just the sausages.

With the storm passing through I was bumped from my hotel across the street. The staff was very friendly and the night auditor was extremely helpful getting me a cab in the morning even with the icy roads.

Rooms were very clean. Beds were comfortable. Very nice outdoor pool with plenty of lounge chairs, an outdoor bar and poolside table for eating. Parking at the hotel was perfect. Bathroom was slightly small but very clean.
The hotel staff was great and I liked that they had parking. The room was nice & location was great. Everything about the hotel was great. One of the reasons I liked it was because it was smoke-free however, the room smelt of smoke the last night we stayed and even again in the early morning before we checked out. Not the hotels fault, was just disappointing.
From the moment we stepped out of our rental car the hotel staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. We had just come in to DC from two days of flying and driving and right away the hotel staff made us feel right at home. They carried our bags, helped us with transportation in DC by pointing us in the right direction, and even gave us apples on our way out for the day. We had never been to DC and have 2 small children and did all the sight seeing we could pack in for 2 days. The location of the hotel was great. One night the weather was great and we all enjoyed the walk through the city back and forth from the Washington Monument. It is quite the walk, so if you are not up for it we also took a cab and used Lyft in which every place only cost about 10.00 to get a ride to and from the hotel. I also feel compelled to mention that maybe it was the look on our faces when we stepped out of our car after the long traveling experince with 2 small kids, but whatever it was they upgraded our room to a balcony! I think her name was Elena that offered the upgrade, and it was very much appreciated!

Easy access to Metro, White Hose, Mall, etc. IF you are a walker. Very welcoming,professional and responsive staff. They were happy to change rooms to 2 beds when my son flew in from CA. Great catering staff and food. Clean and comfortable. A little dated and can be very expensive. My on-line rate with tax etc. was a reasonable $180. When I tried to add 1 night, they wanted $479! Needless to say, we went somewhere else.

I liked the location, the staff was very friendly, and the complimentary water. We had issues with our air conditioning which we told the staff about but nothing was fixed and our room was muggy and damp.

Spacious room with super comfortable bed. No warning for the loud construction noise just outside our bed window at 6:30 am Sunday and then 5:30 Monday am. When we complained the front desk said nothing could be done.
The hotel was very nice and extremely close to all the sites (just blocks from the White House). The room, service, and location were far above what I would expect for the price. Would stay here again and will recommend to anyone visiting the DC area.
It was right downtown near the white house and monuments, so we could walk everywhere Everything closes down so it's hard to find a late night restaurant or pharmacy
I did not like the fact I had to pay valet for parking or find my own. I feel if I m paying for the comfort of staying out of town then that is something that should be included.
Proximity to WH
Excellent location for much of downtown DC. Around Midnight my room filled with old cigarette smoke as someone began smoking in the stairwell. The air quality overall in my particular room was poor, requiring the windows to be opened as much as possible. This of course made it difficult to sleep as the city sounds in DC near The White House are loud and replete with sirens 24/seven. Normally, one might cover one's ears to have silence. However, at this hotel the pillows are the size for small children.
Friendly helpful staff in downtown DC. The air conditioning in the room wasn't very good. It didn't feel like it dropped below 70F while set to 60F in November.
Location was excellent, most staff was nice and helpful. If you wanted Wifi, you had to pay extra. Channels on the television had horrible reception 9/10 times. One bellhop was incredibly rude when I asked to use a luggage cart, that were kept in their storage room at the moment, as I had multiple heavy bags to load in my car. Parking was outrageous per day ($60). This parking fee was also not included on Kayak or Pricline.

Everything, the hotel is wonderful. I'm a retired Marine and I've traveled with my family to many places. This is the best hotel my wife and I have ever stayed in.
The entire staff was very responsive and when there was no solution, e.g. no unbrellas in any of the stores, they went out of their way to exlain and help. The oopenness and high security give confidence in safety while being low key. Lots of locals enjoying your wonderful facility. The beds are too soft and are not not supportive for old people with bad backs.

Specially the shower, we stayed in 2055 and the noise from possible exercise room was anoying. looking out the window we noticed employees were sitting outside (taking brake)
Extremely nice hotel There were more hidden fees than I have ever seen at a hotel - $15 resort fee for phone use and other little things, even an extra $5 just to get a coork skrew in the room.

We went to DC to celebrate my husband's birthday for a long weekend. We looked for a long time online and a lot of the offering was overpriced for the amenities available. The Club Quarters was a great find!!!! The staff was very helpful throughout our stay. There is an espresso bar on the 2nd floor!! We were a few blocks from all the greatest attractions, walked to every site. Never had to take a cab or the Metro. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and will come back. We found a gem in D.C. and will be recommending it to our family and friends.
food and service was good My husband and i were given an end corner room 302 that was way to small and gave a confined effect. We spent as much time out of the room as possible. Parking was also difficult due to lack of easy access to our vehicle asit was in an underground garrage.
The staff was warm and welcoming from the moment I stepped through the door with my 12 year old. I detest the hold hotels put on your credit card and don't release for days and was told I could pay the $50 incidental in cash (which I received back at checkout before the housekeeper had even cleaned the room). The room was indeed small with only 1 bed which would have been a problem if I hadn't been traveling with family. However, it was clean, along with the bathroom. I did whack my elbow against the wall as I was showering as the stall was a bit cramped. We received great instructions on how to make our way to the White House and monuments - - all within walking distance. We finished our running around a bit early so we took advantage of the 2nd floor lounge for about a half hour before heading back to Union Station. There was an industrial coffee/espresso/cappuccino maker, tea bags, newspapers, a big screen tv set to CNN, a charging station, computers etc. The rooms are too small for friends to convene comfortably so the lounge is a nice spot. Convenience: A block away from the Circulator, a block away from the Farragut North and Farragut West station (it is actually on top of the Farragut West station, however, the entrance is closed so it's necessary to walk to the other side a block down). The complimentary bottled water saved us some money and we surely took advantage. The shower was uncomfortably small for a tall lanky person like me. Whacking my elbow against the wall isn't something I expect to happen in a hotel (usually hotel bathrooms are more comfy than my micro bathroom at home in NYC). Also, the room did not have a mini fridge which would have been nice for our leftovers. The hotel is downtown so the area at night is sparse (still feels safe though). You'll need to take a little walk to find some good breakfast if you set out early on a weekend because the nearby places are either never open on the weekends or only open closer to 9 am.

Upon telling the desk clerk and manager at check-in that I had honeymooned at this hotel almost 47 years ago, they expressed genuine delight and immediately offered me a complimentary service. The following morning when I needed help with the timing of a couple of things, I discovered that the word about my stay had spread and a second manager took care of me with very attentive service. It's wonderful that a large, old hotel in a big city understands the importance of making the individual guest feel special.

Coffee Bean Housekeeping never cleaned the room even though we left at 1pm. I asked the front deask for towels when I came back at 11:30pm and they were not delivered until 12:30.
Room was very nice and clean, very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. However, parking in the garage was VERY expensive- $43 for one night. I sucked it up and paid it. I prepaid for the room for Kayak, so it wasn't a big deal. I saw that they had put a $50 hold on my card as well. After I left, they charged my card the $43 for the parking and released the $50 hold, but one week later, I still have a $43 hold for the parking on my card. After contacting the hotel, leaving messages for billing, the garage, and all types of people, I finally got through to Hilton Guest assurance who contacted management for me. The management's response was that this was standard practice and to take it up with the credit card company. The credit card company cannot do anything with pending charges. I've never seen a hold last so long, especially after they have collected their money.
Breakfast was pretty decent, though standard. Understaffed at front desk, toilet overflowed, and charged for undisclosed pet fee (booked via OTA).

The staff (especially in the Executive Lounge) was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Our bed was very comfortable, the view was fantastic, and everything seemed up to date. We somehow snagged this Hilton Honors room and the frree wi-fi through Kayak. The location is on the edge of a residential neighborhood and a bunch of restaurants within walking distance. There were a couple of hairs in the shower, but nothing too shocking. Parking overnight and hourly was so expensive that we had to search for street parking. Free wifi was only available in public spaces. Some of the facilities were closed (due to winter) or accessible only by Hilton Honors.
This hotel is the same every time I go excellent...I really love the little relaxation area near the escalators and bar. We upgraded at check-in for an extra $50 which doubled the space. The location is excellent as it's walking distance to several sites. The fitness center is excellent and is included in the price of the room. Lack of parking requires you to valet for $56 a day. If you are somebody that needs a great view you won't find it here.

The room was nice until we looked out the window and found we had a great view of the roof... (sarcasm) Valet constantly begging for tips. Being from Vegas I tip almost excessively however if someone begs for it or nearly has his hand out the entire time it is not coming. It's called a gratuity for a reason. Then when delivering the vehicle no opening the trunk, and doesn't return the seat to where they found it or at least close. Not much effort in valet.

Very nice amenities and the shower was great! I booked my stay two month prior for a King Bed for one night. When I got there, they said they were sold out of King Bed's and all they had were two doubles. Not the biggest deal, but what is the point of booking a King in advance if that is not what is available? Also, our room did have a musty smell to it when we first got it. After running the air for a bit, it went away.

Not a good value at $25/ person, but at a hotel, I understand the price, but if the food is cold, then it was a waste of money.
Location Hidden charges. $58 a night to park. Nowhere did I see that when I booked the trip. $8 for a draft beer that should be $3, I get a call from security in the evening waking me up, stating that the policy is to call if the do not disturb sign is out. The do not disturb sign was out, I didn't want to be disturbed. Couldn't go back to sleep. I'm a small business owner, if I treated my customers that way, I would be out of business. I will never give that hotel a dime again.

The neighborhood had a little of everything for you whithin short walk distance. Was nice to have the calm of the neighborhood but close enough to get into the hustle of the downtown area. The housekeeping staff spent more times in the hall on their phones texting and talking. We left our rooms around 10a and when we returned around 4:30 Our room had not yet been cleaned. Before we left for dinner we called and asked that our room be refreshed and housekeeping said they would be right up. They never came. I did say something to the front desk at check out - her response was "oh, that's not supppsed to happen that way. Now, I did get an email from management apologizing, but stating that he discussed with housekeeping and they blamed us for having the do not disturb on. We had made sure it was Not on (double checked) before we left for dinner. The staff was very friendly - just REALLY distracted with their phones.

The location can not be beat in DC. It's right in the middle of Dupont Circle with bars, restaurants, embassies, the metro and access to many buses. Staff was very very vice. I loved their Aromatherapy toiletries. No breakfast, There's not real refrigerator in the room. Also the room was small and didn't have a separate bathroom. The bathroom was separated by half a glass wall. I did not like this. If a colleague or friend came over, it would be so awkward for them to use the bathroom. Cleanliness was OKAY, def not up to par considering the price of the hotel. For example, the couch pillow had a stain on it.
The ideal location in Dupont Circle Washington D.C. over-shadowed some of the quirks in the room configuration. Very nice bar & restaurant in the lobby. Not much room to hang clothes or unpack clothes. The lighting in the room and bathroom could have been brighter. The TV could have been on an extension arm or situated in the center of the room. The door-less shower stall was a bit messy.
I had reserved and paid for a room a week before I was scheduled to arrive. When I finally got there at 11:15p after a long day of travel, the front desk clerk informed me that they had NO ROOM available for me. He gave me a "voucher" for a "nearby" hotel, handed me a $20 bill and hailed me a cab. This other hotel was miles away, not nearly as nice or well-located, and had no idea what was going on. I received no follow-up from the Dupont Circle Hotel management or staff to make sure everything was ok, no less a complimentary stay or anything. And the kicker: as of today (4 days after this debacle) the $1000+ charge for my room is STILL on my credit card (i.e., no refund). I will never, ever stay at this hotel again, and neither should you.
The hotel staff was very cordial. Very busy and active bar in the hotel. Breakfast from the hotel restaurant was good. The room was clean and very modern. Beds were very comfortable. Access to the closet was limited due to the proximity of the bed to the closet doors - couldn't open the doors enough.

The only thing I can really say is that the location of this hotel room is right in the middle of everything.An the shower was great Where do I start, first off the rooms don't match the picture online. The staff there is very rude. The only way I was able to get any help from them was to ask to speak to the manager. The beds there look like something from 1980's . There is no door on the bathroom so if you want to us the bathroom if you have family,friends with you you have to use the lobby bathroom. The parking fee for this place is way to high your best to drive 2 blocks down an park your own car for $15.00 instead of paying the hotel room $55.20.

This is a gorgeous hotel. The entrance is very grand with beautiful chandeliers. The staff was attentive and polite. We checked in quickly and were given a large room with a balcony - even a spacious bathroom. The metro is very close if you're heading to the monuments or museums. Also the zoo is about a half mile up Conn. Ave. which was convenient. Adams Morgan is nearby and there are lots of great restaurants in between. You can't beat this location anywhere in D.C. I've stayed at the Omni in New Orleans, New York, and Richmond over the years. They are all an excellent choice. Nothing.

Hotel is nice enough, clean and comfortable, polite staff, the normal positives from a hotel. Besides parking it was a very good experience. The only thing I would complain about is that parking in the area is incredibly difficult at best. The hotel has plenty of parking but it costs 50$ for overnight and there wasn't really any warning for this fact, if there was it would have been much less annoying.

The OMNI is a beautiful hotel with a lovely garden and nice pool and gym. Excellent location for conferences in the Wardman Center just across. Good connection to metro. I had booked a room 3 months in advance including 4 days on a conference rate. 5 days before the main meeting I received an email telling me I had to move to an airport hotel, 30 minutes drive away from the hotel and the conference I was going to attend for the Tuesday and Wednesday night of my Sunday to Saturday stay because of a 'technical error' in booking. I had a meeting at the OMNI the very Tuesday. When calling them management (Chris) was non-accommodating and impolite and the offer of a refund to find another accommodation is little help 4 days before a conference with 4000 attendants. They offered to cover one of the nights in the airport hotel. Overall friendliness in the hotel was not at the level usually encountered in places of this level and I had to call at 14:00 one day to get the room serviced.
I liked the size of the rooms. The elevators fit maybe 4 people. One of the two broke and we waiting for about 15 before we took the stairs from the 8th floor. We had a group of friends staying on the east end. Someone was throwing and party and you could hear them when we got off the elevatorl. It was unacceptable how loud there were. An hour later security came and did nothing. I was glad my room was on the other side of the hotel.

A party on our floor was raging til 4am when it was finally ended due to police intervention despite many phone call to front desk beginning at 10pm. Got $50 off stay but should have been completely comped.
State Plaza provides nice, basic business-type lodging with good service.
Kitchen and dressing area... very unique! TV didn't work very well. The front desk didn't know all the routes and ways to get to the DULLES airport.
The staff were helpful and nice and the location was convenient. The kitchen is a nice convenience, but not needed for a short stay. The carpet in the room was dirty. There is no fan or window in the washroom so steam from the shower stays in the room, this causes humidity and mold. I'm allergic to mold so this was very uncomfortable. The hotel has two towers, and only one common washroom with one stall located in the other tower. If you have a late flight out you can store your suit cases but no place to change. The toiletries were advertised as designer. It was bath and body brand. The washroom was dirty, hair in the tub. I don't recommend the Hotel for physically challenged guests as there are steep stairs up to the elevator from the lobby. I had to struggle with the suitcases up the stairs. Beware that the hotel charges if there are more than 2 occupants in the room. This was not disclosed at booking. They also charge for incidentals at check in. I found this Hotel to be Overpriced for what you get. I stayed at the Marriott down the street last year, I payed about the same and had a much nicer room, pool, etc.

Staff was friendly. Gave upgrade to a giant suite when they were out of the room I'd booked since I had arrived late. The hotel was old and it was obvious that it was old.

Very clean and very well maintained. Nice accommodations. Nice staff. There was a transitional issue with the heating and air. We were between hot and cold days so the heat was the only option- no air conditioning. It was warm in the room on the hotter days- they did provide us with fans which helped. If it had been warmer outside it would have been very difficult to sleep.
* Room was a good size * Room included a kitchen area with full-size fridge and sink. The room was extremely cold, and when we turned the heat on, the vent blew colder air out. We called the front desk and were informed that they had "switched over" the system and that even though it was turned to heat it would only cool the room. We were told a space heater would be sent to the room, but one never arrived and then hours later we were told they were out of space heaters. If the heating and cooling system can be "switched over" then presumably it can be switched back, so my question for this hotel is if everyone was so cold that you ran out of heaters, why not switch the ability to heat rooms back on? Overall it was kind of bizarre and extremely inconvenient to have to wear coats indoors and put a damper on our otherwise-pleasant stay.
A great location within walking distance of the State Dept., where I was attending a conference. Staff was helpful. Renovated room in the north tower was beautiful. Spacious, super clean, full kitchen, new bathroom and carpeting. Comfy bed. CVS and a liquor store adjacent. Need to upgrade cable to HD service. No restaurants or cafes nearby--at least I couldn't find any.
Just a few blocks from the museums, white house, etc. Only 40 feet from a CVS. Rooms were nice and clean. My Only complaint was that when asked about parking they told me they have a Valet. Afterwards a friend told me he parked himself for free. Not sure if they changed their rules or it was just poor communication. Either way i paid like 35$ extra each night.

I wish I could bring the bathroom home with us. Kept amenities (water, coffee, towels, etc.) stocked and staff was very friendly and timely. I would most definitely recommend for young couples and business trips. Not a family hotel (which is one reason my boyfriend and I chose it). It's also directly across from a metro station, which was very convenient because parking's a nightmare in Arlington and D.C. No free wifi and not great reception for Verizon customers. Parking is a bit tight, but it's secure.

Had a great experience. Very courteous and prompt staff. I ended up getting a head cold during my stay and they had cold medicine available for purchase so I didn't have to trek out to the local CVS or Walgreens. Would definitely stay again.
We stayed in room 626 and it took many minutes to get hot water in the shower. My wife waited the needed 3-5 minutes. I became impatient and just took a cold shower.
The hotel is located very well. It is walking distance to Arlington cemetery or to Georgetown. The hotel is few steps from the subway station Rosslyn. We were very pleased to be available coffee and tea on the room. We recommend very comfortable bed, clean bathroom and helpful staff.
I thought the hotel and rooms were fantastic. I was very comfortable throughout my stay. Booking through Kayak got me a great deal, and it was definitely a steal to stay here. The location was perfect - right next to the Rosslyn metro stop. I was within walking distance of the Arlington Cemetary and Iwo Jima monument. There were several restaurants in the area that catered to a variety of tastes, which was really convenient. The hotel even provided a list of nearby restaurants with estimated travel times. I'd recommend a stay here! When I entered the hotel to check in, I was greeted by two men welcoming guests into the hotel. There was one man at the desk checking in a woman and her two daughters, and I stood in line behind them waiting to be helped. A few minutes later another man walked in and was greeted by the two men at the door; however, this time one of the men walked behind the desk and said he'd be happy to check the newcomer in. Well, what about me? I was standing in line way before him! I decided to let it go because I am not one for causing scenes. Well, a few minutes later it happened again with another new guest - she was also taken before me. Not sure if it was because I look young, wasn't dressed as nicely as these other guests, or was mistaken for one of the woman's daughters, but I should have been helped before the two people who arrived after me. In general, the people at the desk weren't as friendly with me as other (better dressed) guests. I'm a woman in my early 20s and was traveling alone - probably an indicator that I won't spend as much money as older men in business suits or families with children? Also, no free WiFi is a bummer. Things also didn't look as clean as they could have - dusty TV remote, water rings on tables, etc.
The area was a nice part of D.C., it is right next to the metro which is great. Very nice staff. No continental breakfast, but food price wasn't too shabby. Wish there was a pool.
My husband and I stayed here before we left for our honeymoon, and it was a great pick! They gave us complimentary chocolate strawberries and sparkling water as a gift for being newlyweds. We loved it! Nice walking distance to Georgetown, right next to the metro.
This is such a grand hotel. We spent 4 wonderful days here, great staff, exceptionally clean rooms and great views.

The staff at the hotel went out of their way to please us. In particular: Mr. Herb Wright greeted us daily with his million dollar smile and was always ready to be of assistance. Mekdes Pierce, Nathan and Limlin worked so hard each day in the lounge for breakfast and appetizers/dinner. They were so kind no matter how busy they were. Absolutely not one thing. It was an outstanding hotel.

The hotel is a beautiful place with excellent finishes. Everything was in great condition and high quality. The rooms were small, which in understandable given the location, but this was a double bed room so it seemed even smaller.

The actual hotel was clean and updated, the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall the actual stay was great. Nice little happy hour offered at the bar. Valet parked my car for 1 night, and took it upon themselves to charge $50 to my credit card, plus a $17 convenience fee. No lot in the surrounding area exceeded $25 for overnight parking. I should have parked my own car. I feel that the hotel was nervy and rude to charge us double the going rate for parking - without notifying me. I felt taken advantage of, since we were already paying top dollar for a 1 night stay. The hotel was nice, but not that nice. I stay in DC all the time, but I may not return unless this problem is rectified.
We were in a suite and it was spacious and nicely furnished. Most staff were nice. Great having a Starbucks in the lobby. Nice central location. The bathroom was small, especially the corner sink. There was no counter space. Front desk clerks were hit and miss. Some nice, some not. Concierge staff were great. The breakfast was OK, not great.
The location was great, good value for the room however parking was an additional $54/night. Try out Art and Soul restaurant, delicious! Parking. But in DC I guess it's standard...
Either the hotel or this booking service gave misleading info. Internet was listed along with TV, sofa, etc., as included. But then the hotel said internet was $14.95/day. They eventually agreed to not charge me for it.
They didn't let us into our hotel room until very late in the day we arrived due to slow housekeeping service. Upon checkout, we realized we had forgotten a few items in the closet. I called the front desk to tell them of the issue and they said they would take care of it, but when I showed up a few hours later to grab my bags from the coat room and go to the airport, they had no record of me having called and couldn't locate our items left in the closet. One bellman went out of his way to help out and was able to find some but not all of our clothes.
We enjoyed our stay at the Washington court hotel after the liaison did not have a room for us. We arrived at the liaison at 12 am hoping to get into our room quickly and get some rest. We waited in line for at least 30 minutes to check in, as other guests appeared to be having issues with check in. After finally reaching the check in desk, we were told that the room we had reserved was not available. The only available room had no bed, just a pull out couch that could only sleep one person. This situation was the same for another 5-6 parties attempting to check in after us. We were given the option of staying at another hotel down the street and switching back to the liaison for the second night of our stay. We decided to cancel our liaison reservation and stay at the other hotel for both nights. The entire situation was handled in a very unprofessional manor, adding stress and confusion to what we hoped to be a relaxing weekend.

I liked the decor and unique style of the hotel. I checked in at night so when we arrived we were able to appreciate the dim lighting and music. There was a lot of activity going on over at the bar/restaurant. People seemed to be enjoying them selves. The room was nice and clean. I liked the products in the bathroom. The bed was comfy and the lighting was modern and unique. It took 20 minutes of standing in a very short line before I was checked in. There was a jug with fruit infused water for guests to enjoy. But there was also an overflowing trash can of plastic cups right next to it. There was only one person assisting customers. When I gave my name and info, the representative had a hard time. I showed her my reservation on my phone. She looked at it for at least 3 minutes and then told me that I need to call Kayak to get my confirmation#. I was confused and asked shouldn't she call them (since I stood in line for so long). Luckily I found what she missed on my reservation and she was able to check me in. Later that evening, we were given the number to a local restaurant that delivers. We ordered food. The next morning there is a receipt for a long distance call on the floor near the door. When I called the front desk about it, the rep said they would talk to their manager. When I checked out that day, I mentioned it and the representative at the desk dismissively said that her boss took care of it. No apology or friendly demeanor to spare I suppose. The carpet in the lobby needed vacuuming. It looked like the day after a party in the lobby.

The rooftop pool cannot be beat. It is a beautiful space with cabana and plenty of seating. The room was on the 10th floor making the pool and fitness center easily accessible. Within walking distance to the capital and the mall. Hidden fees, and outrageous parking price, poor attitudes of front desk staff, "free coffee" pretty pathetic, coffee maker in the room not ideal. We couldn't take personal food up to pool despite no signs saying so. I felt like a teenager being reprimanded for sneaking candy into a movie theater. Bar at pool does have food, but be prepared to pay high dollar for pretty average food, without a lot of options. Poor communication regarding hotel activities, woke up for yoga class early only to find it must have been canceled without anyone letting us know. Pool was closed at 5 pm, we weren't even allowed to put our feet in because there wasn't a lifeguard. Website clearly says pool open until 10. It overall was fine, nothing miserable, but some of these details led to a less then impressive stay.

The location was good. The decor was nice and what you would expect from a 4star hotel. They tried to charge us for umbrellas that were returned to the front desk. When I returned the umbrellas to the front desk, the lady was very rude for no reason. Two of the elevators were out of service and the other two seemed as if they would break soon. It was scary everytime getting into the elevator because it would shake and make a noise. Twice the door didn't close all the way completely, leaving a small crack, and the elevator would not move. I highly doubt I would stay here again because of the lady I dealt with that was rude and tried to charge me for umbrellas that were returned.
Very quiet, no outside noise what so ever despite the location. Nothing that set apart the Ritz from the others, room, furniture, bathroom was very medicore and what you get from any other hotel in the same class.

The Metro was just outside the front door and it made for very easy trips on the metro. The airport is only two stops away and you avoid the hassle of traffic if you don't have too much luggage to carry. I saw several families there so I think it would be a nice place for families too. And of course, the service was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
