10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming even bringing fresh picked blueberries from their beautiful backyard garden upon arrival. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, quiet location, very comfortable bed and very spacious. It is equipped with everything you could need. I can not say enough good things about it. We will be returning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts are really friendly and helpful, the accommodation is very spacious and spotlessly clean, opens on to a garden, makes a great base
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was far larger than I expected! The hostess was delightful and friendly - just the right amount of "hostessing." (Friendly but not over the top.) I really enjoyed my stay, and I will be back.
Cons: I think my only suggestion for improvement would be consideration of switching to an unscented laundry detergent. I find strong laundry detergent to be not to my taste. ;-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extras such as pastries and juice were a very nice touch.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Beautiful garden and outside patio for our morning coffee. Loved the dogs. Considerate hosts. So many little thoughtful things, like blankets on the sofa if you're chilly, bottled water and juice in the fridge, packaged oatmeal, coffee and tea. We would definitely return.
Cons: Stairs are rather steep which wasn't a problem but should have non-skid runners since the carpet can be slick. Lighting in the living room could have been better for reading.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the interesting/eclectic decor, and abundance of space. It was also very quiet - our initial concerns regarding a barking dog were laid to rest - we heard nothing after getting settled in. The "kitchen" was very well organized and well appointed. There was evidence of great attention to detail throughout the space, on both levels.
Cons: There was a cloying odour which bothered us quite a bit. We don't know the source of it. We found the space very dark. There were several lighting options but with few windows and the building surrounded by large conifers, it was very dim - this applied also to the patio. It was otherwise a comfortable, inviting space, but rather gloomy - not the best to curl up to read a book. A hedge protruding from the left side of the driveway (facing the house) was problematic in accessing our car on that side. We felt we had to move the car out of the way of the garage and in so doing, were too close to the hedge. We were disappointed with the TV. We'd anticipated watching some sports, but there appeared to be no options.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most beautiful little home we have ever stayed. Very clean and like home. Hosts were awesome. Loved this place
Cons: Loved everything about it
9.3 Excellent
Cons: no ensuite bathroom is a bit awkward at night time.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It's located near town but has an in the country feel. There's a large upstairs bedroom with a comfortable bed and plenty of seating. Downstairs is a large kitchen, dining, sitting room with everything we needed. Also a nice veranda with seating to read a book or just enjoy the garden.
Cons: The bathroom is downstairs, it didn't both us but it's a bit of a trek if you need to get up in the night. The bathroom could do with some hooks to hang clothes on.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Sherry was very thoughtful in providing some basic foods such as milk, coffee, cereal etc and the kitchen was well appointed. The home was separate from the main house and spacious, with access to a lovely garden. On the northern edge of town, the location was good for supermarkets and access to the surrounding countryside.
Cons: The bathroom was pretty small given the spaciousness of the accommodation. Generally, I feel the accommodation was rather dark and in need of decluttering and updating, but that's a question of personal taste.
Salmon Point B&B - Oyster River - Building
3
9.5 Excellent (98 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, comfortable, highest quality. Many extras like snacks and towels. Sauna was awesome - used it every day.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had such a great time in the cabin! It is large, cozy, and a lot of nice places to sit outside. Great breakfast which was not included in our offer (we rented the cabin), but which we could book additionally. A nature walk starts directly infront of the house, very close to the beach.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent.
Cons: No restaurants nearby for meals.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lots of extra little touches and to a high standard
Cons: Nothing
5.5 Okay
Cons: The oh so romantically named 'rustic cabin' is nothing other than the owners' kids cubby. Adults beware, if you have graduated on from playing 'house', like an excitable 9 year old, this is not for you.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cosy and all we needed.

Pros: Staff were very accommodating upon arrival and check out. An hour or so after we settled in, front desk called our room to see if all is well or if there are any issues. That was great service! We thought, one of our lamps wasn't working so they sent someone up right away (and the lamp actually did work...). Front desk gave us some great advice on what to do in the area and where to eat. The room was great, bed was perfect and there's really nothing much we could've wanted to add.
Cons: The elevator can take a long time. Nothing much the hotel can do about I guess, but just take the stairs or sit back and relax, while waiting for the elevator... :)

Cons: The restaurant attached to the hotel had a very poor steak dinner for 46$, I have had better beef from a hotdog stand

Pros: Clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Didn't try any of the spa facilities so I can't comment. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but the one located just behind was excellent!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The spa and the view from my room and the garden with the fire pits were awesome.
Cons: It is all seafood related food I do not like seafood and did not have much to pick from. When to town for dinner. I rather have stay and eaten at the restaurant
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love sitting out in the courtyard with the fire pits burning and music in the background. Loved the hydrotherapy tour. The elevator is an absolute treat to avoid stairs.
4.8 Okay
Pros: Ocean Front View
Cons: Booked a room on the main floor due to mobility issues when we arrived our room was on the 2nd flr. We were offer the only room on the main floor that was available it was the last one yet to be renovated and updated. WTF??? Why would we take that?? The upstairs room must have been updated years ago! If we liked we could also upgrade to a king room as they were in a section of the resort that had an elevator but that would cost an extra 80.00 a night from what were paying. We took the room on the second floor and did the stairs. We felt we were being punished with the leftover, last on the list dumpy room because we used an online service to book. Most uncomfortable beds we have ever had at any place we have ever stayed. Not sure how old the mattresses were but I haven't seen ones like that for many many years, my parents owned a resort 30 some years ago and they looked very familiar even the handles were falling off. When we inquired at the front desk the next morning about what could be done with the terrible mattress we were told that a lot of people like a harder mattress and they offered to put on a foam topper, as well move us to a main flr room. We returned from a day out our suitcases had been moved to a new room but they never put the topper on the same ugly worn out hard mattresses, Mgmt said that they didn't have anything for the queen rooms only for the king beds and there was really nothing they could do except maybe put a few comforters down as a topper??? Needless to say we did not stay the second night and checked out instead of suffering through another sleepless night. Basically the facility had beautiful grounds well cared for but the rest of the place minus the lobby was dumpy and run down .
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We arrived and left by kayak so our experience was far from typical. The resort went out of their way to be helpful by saying we could store our large, double kayak in their garage but that was just not practical. Getting our boat from the shore to the property was a challenge and in the end we left our boat in some bushes. The resort itself was lovely. Very comfortable and very luxurious. Unfortunately, we had relatively little time at the resort so didn't get a chance to appreciate all the amenities. After paddling for 7 hours, we weren't keen to use the fitness room and so on. Resting was on the top of our list. We could have organized a massage, but that was beyond us. Enjoying a delicious dinner helped revive us. We wish we had had more time to appreciate all Kingfisher had to offer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The outdoor seating areas were superb with individual fireplaces as was the landscaping throughout
Cons: The resort is looking a little tired and dated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was sensational (Avocado, fruit eggs, toast) Supper too was terrific
Cons: Wifi kept disconcerting Coffee maker was clumsy and difficult to opperate
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very lovely facilities. The grounds are gorgeous and very peaceful. The spa is awesome and we enjoyed the pool and steam sauna. Quiet facility and slept with our patio door open to hear the ocean waves.
Cons: Need to keep the fire tables going until 11 pm. Shutting them off at 10:30 is too early.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, spa, restaurant and updates were all wonderful
Cons: My partner was fairly sore from the super soft bed and pillows and they didn't have firmer pillows available. Next time we will remember to bring our own.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We ate at the resort the whole time, all the food was delicious, the seafood chowder and the pancakes were unreal. The only thing at the restaurant I didn't like was the hot chocolate, it tasted like steamed milk and it was disappointing. We woke up in the morning and enjoyed the relaxing music while sipping our espresso from the Nespresso machine on our balcony and at night we relaxed by the fire pits in our robes while we listened to live music. I loved the spa music that played during out stay. Overall we had an amazing time and will definitely be back. It was the perfect choice for a relaxing honeymoon and the restaurant can't be beat.
Cons: The sheets on the bed were amazing although the bed was almost too soft that I woke up with lower back pain both mornings, i'm only 27 and that's abnormal for me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere. We napped every afternoon. It was a veritable Shangri-la for a couple who needed a good rest. The atmosphere was calm and the room and gardens were beautiful.
5.1 Okay
Pros: Service and attitude of staff was excellent. Breakfast was delicious and the evening desert and cocktails in the Bistro Bar overlooking the water was superb. Hot tub and pool was welcome and relaxing after a busy day hiking in Strathcona Park, The Wave - Relaxation Massage was first class and the perfect way to end our vacation.
Cons: The room. It was very poorly appointed and with the queen bed against the wall, it was impossible to get in-out of on one side. But mostly the view. or lack thereof.. On a previous visit, what I liked best was the view, overlooking the bay towards Comox. This time we were abutting the parking lot with a tiny peak of water when looking out the porch glass door. A disappointment after traveling 5K miles to be locked into an uncomfortable space with no view, Part of the problem is that when booking via a third party, seems like the customer is put at the "back of the bus". Lesson .... book directly?

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location with views to the sea, Great breakfast.
Cons: Dogs in the kitchen when food was being prepared.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely B/B in a beautiful location. It’s been a while since we’ve stayed in traditional B&B and it is really wonderful to have that experience again and to interact with the owners who were really wonderful. The food was great and the location was beautiful overlooking the water with bald eagles right on the beach. They have two lovely large dogs who are very friendly. Our room was comfy and had a en suite bathroom.
Cons: Signage to the place was a bit difficult even with our GPS! I would not recommend trying to find it in the dark. I would have liked some nicer amenities, including some hair conditioner. You will need to drive to town for dinner, there aren’t any restaurants within walking distance, but the drive didn’t take too long.

Pros: Don and Grace were excellent hosts. The room was exactly as expected. The guest lounge was a real treat. Breakfast was great with a good variety of options each day. Don and Grace also a good source of local knowledge. We were made to feel very welcome as was our son who wasn't even staying with us.
Cons: Some power adaptors for foreign guests would be nice but most people have their own. I guess some of the décor is a little dated but that is being really picky. To be honest our stay was fantastic and any criticism seems unjustified.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly owners and pets. Having 3 beds for 3 friends travelling together was good- no one had to sleep on a hide abed.
Cons: minor issue- the private entrance required parking on the street. Parking in the yard required entering into the owners residence and going down stairs.

Pros: Closeness to all amenities
Cons: Price of golf & power cart
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The views and the golf were amazing.
Cons: Upon check out I had asked for a late check out as I was golfing in the morning. I was told that 12 noon was complimentary check out. I said ok. I went to the front desk to try and get an extra 15 min after my golf and the lady was very rude telling me that I was already late checking out and my room card was deleted. When I told her I had asked for late check out she said it wasn’t documented. I then told her my wife was still in the room and she said, well I can’t exactly kick you out. She made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Because someone had not entered the late check out she made me feel that was my fault. It was an unfortunate ending to a otherwise amazing stay.

Pros: The room and bathroom were clean . The bed was comfortable.Shared spaces( kitchen, sitting room)were nice to have. The host was friendly, informative and accomadating.
Cons: The room( #3 ) was very small and felt stuffy on a hot summer night. Although there was a window, it wasn’t near the bed so ventilation was poor.Other rooms such as #1 in the first building looked more appealing.

This resort has facilities measuring 925 square feet (86 square meters), including a conference center. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.8 Good
Pros: I liked that the location was near the wedding we were attending.
Cons: Our room had quite possibly the worst view of the entire resort. We were looking out at the back of the awning over the main door.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The ocean view from the room is wonderful. Room is clean. There is 24 hour free coffee and tea available.
Cons: The common seating area is closed as from 8PM so you essentially have no nice place to sit past that time. The laundry facilities can only be used between 10AM and 5PM, because of noise. Overall, the stay here is not nearly as comfortable as you would deduce from the photos. The kitchen facilities shown there are not actually accessible unless you have booked the villa/cabin and the common area looks really cozy but isn't actually accessible when it's most valuable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were able to check in an hour early. Friendly efficient staff person on reception. Lovely view of the sunset from our balcony and after dark, the lights of a cruise on its way to Alaska.
Cons: Nothing negative to say
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything about this place
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place with own waterfront, we had a room with ocean view, which was really nice. We enjoyed our three nights :)
Cons: Its near the Highway so you can hear the traffic a little, but its not to bad.
6.8 Good
Cons: The beds were horrible. No AC
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is nice, but there were a few things that I would Have liked to have changed. I noticed no coffee in the rooms (there is coffee 24/7 in the lobby which is fine), no blow dryer, no AC (at least in my room), and the front desk is only open 8am-8pm. When we made the reservation I said 2 adults, but we only had one key, which made it difficult because we typically only got back to our room after 8pm and we were up doing stuff before 8 also. There is no food that I know of, all I saw to purchase was some chocolate bars and chips. Be sure to pack snacks.
Cons: Ocean side, quiet, clean, generally a really nice place to stay overall.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, clean and comfortable rooms.
Cons: clean and quiet; with beautiful view.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place, very peaceful. Located in 5 min walking distance from the beach. The rooms are very clean and cozy. Handmade toiletries made from natural ingredients. It creates a SPA feeling.
Cons: You have to check-in before 8:00 p.m.; there is no one on reception past that time. If you have a busy early morning schedule the next day and you coming back late, your entry key will be blocked. If you do not check-in and sign security deposit paper later, you will not be able to lock your door the next morning when you leave even if you already paid in full your stay in advance. That was very inconvenient for us; otherwise, we are very satisfied with our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely and highly recommended. Spend the extra money for the ocean view!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and well kept with lovely grounds and views

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable. Excellent sea view from the room. We saw humpback whales over breakfast. Sea eagles flew past regularly. Super friendly and responsive staff.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view from the balcony. The best place to view wildlife and cruise ships right from your room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location and easy to find. We stayed for one night whilst travelling around Vancouver Island. Room over looked the Sea and was clean.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view is beautiful from our room on the second floor. It’s right on the water and you can see across to Quadra Island. The unit was exceptionally clean. The bed was comfortable with soft sheets.
Cons: The separate bedroom had little air flow since the one window was small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room had the bonus of a fridge, microwave and table, and a fabulous view from the balcony. It is a pleasant walk down into town and along the seafront round to a large boatyard and Native burial ground with lots of totem poles etc. I can recommend the first cafe you come to on the other side of the road if you want fish and chips or just a cuppa. The motel is very close to the museum too, which was absolutely fascinating. There's no problem with luggage if you have time after checking out before having to move on as there is secure storage there.
Cons: Campbell River is a much larger, busier place than I expected but it was only a break on our journey down the island.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable & the Motel’s bucolic location above Discovery Passage (with great views across to Quadra Island, including of the Inside Passage marine traffic that funnels through this channel). Very attentive and friendly, obliging Owners.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, lovely views, calm garden area overlooking the river, coffee and tea making facilities with fridge and microwave. Thick curtains! So I had a good night's sleep for once.
4.3 Okay
Pros: The ocean view
Cons: When I booked I asked for top floor and when I got there I was told they couldn’t accommodate. That would have been nice to know prior to paying so I could book somewhere else. The room above was extremely noisy no sound barrier from the upstairs. Parking is tight and rooms are old and thrown together. Rooms are all different prices but if you shop around next hotel has rooms for 40 dollars cheaper and nicer rooms. These guys don’t offer government rates from July 15 -August 31 Wouldn’t book here again
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Got an upgrade of a room with a balcony view of the ocean. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about fishing tours etc. Rooms were clean and well set up.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Front desk was courteous. Gave good directions for local restaurant. Easy walk into town after long drive
Cons: Sliding door (view) window seal was broken so view was obliterated

Pros: Clean room with plenty of space. Easy parking.

Pros: We arrived by kayak and the hotel and its location were perfect for us. We could leave our kayak at the marina across the road (for a fee) and everything we needed was within walking distance.
