The pick up was easy. The staff was super friendly. We rented a 9 passenger van that was clean and easy to drive. Drop off was a pain, there was a spot that had a bar that was too low for our van to fit under. Luckily a worker was driving by and stopped to help us by moving the bar out of the way. Overall I enjoyed the rental but they should know the heights of their garage!

Entreprise rent a car should be banned from KayakNothing they are thieves. They said that the price I booked on Kayak didn't include any insurance. I told them that my Visa Infinite card will cover me but they forced me to subscribe the insurance which doubled the initial price. I refused to pay the doubled price because the reason I used Kayak is to compare offers and reserve the best offer. Why Kayak let you reserve a one week rental car which will not allow you to get the car because it doesn't include any insurance. So I lost a couple of hours to find another rental car company and had to pay a taxi to get a car 15 Kms away from the Orly airport. I asked Entreprise car rental a written proof but they said they were not able to write anything.
Be prepared for upsellingRental desk location was convenient to baggage claim. Staff member was friendly.Relentless upselling of add on insurance. Major credit cards now offer CDW and Primary insurance as part of their package. Charges quoted at time of reservation were 40 Euros less than actual charges

Don't Rent With Budget At OrlyNothing- Tried to charge us $100 more than the reservation rate - Car didn't match reservation description, it was a lot smaller than the reservation said in terms of fitting number of people and bags - Budget tried to charge us for adding a spouse even though their policy is to add a spouse for free then they told us they'd do us a favor to add a spouse just this 1x, even though it's actually their policy and they're supposed to do it - The person who checked us in was not friendly at all - The check-in process took over 1 hour
The car they gave me was different then the one that I ordered, this happens but it was quite a difference. The car wasn't that clean and showed its wear and tear. As well the car had a lot of damage around it and it seems they don't take the time to fix it. I was also dinged for a scratch that wasn't on the previous documentation. It seemed from what they showed me it had an X already there. I really feel that they are trained to find something so that they can charge the renter more. Hertz is usually a reliable company and they usually do right by the customer, here in Paris they do what is right for them.

Finding Hertz return location in Orly- Didn't take much time to drop off the car. We pulled the car over to the queue. The rental agent came to us in a minute, inspected the car, and said we were all done. He also showed us how to reach Terminal Sud, which we were flying out of. - Friendly behavior and helpful.- Better signage at the airport would have helped me find the rental location faster. The roads branched off and off and it wasn't easy to figure out which one would get me to Hertz drop-off.

Good car, not great customer serviceCar was clean and in good condition. It wasn't clear at pick up or drop off how much money I would be charged. I had to look at my bank statement to find out how much I was charged.
First, when I picked up the car, I saw there was an extra scratch on the car that was not in the system photos. I pointed it to the guy and he said “oh you are right. No worry, I will take note of it” and then he never did!! So at the drop off place they were asking me questions about that scratch. I haven’t gotten my deposit back yet, so I’ll learn if they scammed me with that or not later. Second, the car was not too clean. I was decent but full of dirt on the outside. I don’t care much about that, but it’s worth mentioning on the review. Third, THE DROP OFF was a nightmare!!! I dropped it off on Lille France (the city location) and the office and the parking lot where you have to drop it off are in different buildings AND THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO SIGNS OR DIRECTIONS FOR THIS. I arrived after the office had closed so there was nobody there to explain this to me or pick up the phone. So I missed my train to Bruges! It was very stressful. The following morning I went to the office when it opened and I finally could speak with a human being. Still, the directions to the parking lot were horrible. Google maps would send me to a different side of the building, and this is a HUGE MALL building, so I got lost over and over and over. I wasted like a whole hour to do the drop off and had to run to catch my bus. I obviously lost the money of the train I got the previous day. If you are a tourist, and specially if you don’t speak French, make sure you drop the car off during business hours because the self drop off is a nightmare (unless you are at the airport. That still doesn’t have much indication as to where to drop it off) COMMUNICATION PEOPLE!! Just detail on the website or when you send the reservation, where exactly is the drop off and what are the steps, one by one, because when you don’t speak the language it’s hard. You make most of your money from tourism! More communication goes a long way. And now, let’s hope they don’t charge me for that scratch I didn’t do it I’ll fly back to Paris and find that guy who lied to me and didn’t take a photo.

Good car. Terrible service and up front informationClean car. Easy check in and pick up. Friendly pick up staff at orlyUpon our inquiry at the check in, we were told the car is authorized to be driven in Switzerland. But upon border entry to Switzerland we were charged $40 for car motorway registration for the entire year. Also, we were not told about the parking disc law in Switzerland and we got a ticket 20 minutes after driving into Switzerland. In summary,
While you can use a RATP public bus, OrlyVal train shuttle, or a hotel shuttle minibus to get from the airport to CBD, perhaps renting your preferred vehicle from car rental at Paris Orly Airport is a better option. Having a rental car offers you flexibility, comfort, and convenience. Besides, unlike public alternatives that operate on a fixed schedule and route, you have the freedom to plan your day and night travels as you wish without any restrictions. Paris is a beautiful city with many places to visit and sights to see. Having a car will ensure that you leave no route untraveled.
There are numerous on-site Paris Orly Airport car rental companies, and locating their desks is quick and easy even for first-timers. The airport has a rental car center located next to the arrivals area of Terminals 1 and 2. Some rental companies are located along Aeroport D'orly 3 Niveau -1, Bat 101 Zone Des Petites Industries, and along Orly Ouest Airport.
If you are a traveler operating on a tight budget, you can still save some dollars with your rental car. First, go for an economy car. Some compact minivan, mini SUV, and small-sized family cars that can achieve a fuel economy of over 40 mpg will save you some dollars on gas. You can still save a few more dollars if you refill on gas stations that are located further away from the airport.
Like any other big city, Paris roads have different speed limits that aim to enhance the safety of all road users. While driving during dry weather, the speed limit is 130 km/h (80 mph) on motorways, 80 km/h (49 mph) on main roads outside the city, residential and built-in areas, and under 50 km/h (31 mph) within built-up zones. These speed limits are usually lowered during wet climates. For example, the speed limit on the périphérique ring road is usually 70 km/h during dry climates and 50 km/h during wet climates.
