Pros:Car was clean and reliable.
Cons:I bought Allianz insurance prior to travelling as was recommended on the internet. It was $72.00. I felt that it was worth it for full no fault insurance. Howevè, upon arrival, I was told that it is not the appropriate insurance for Costa Rica and that the insurance is closer to $500.00! I felt that I had already entered Costa Rica as my location so that any option that comes up should be appropriate to that location. Also, when you arrive at the airport, there is no way to know how to get to the Payless desk in order to get the car. It was very conusing.
Cons:We rented a luxury SUV and got... a Mitsubishi wagon. And then we were charged $200 for insurance but wasn’t told ahead of time that would factor in. Complete letdown.
Cons:We arrived at the rental store at the advertised opening time and the store was closed. We waited for an hour and then we went to nearby Dollar Rent a Car to get a vehicle. I will never book with payless again.
Pros:Quick and easy. I was a bit worried given the reviews on tripadvisor. But was complete opposite. Got car within ten minutes. Gave back car within five minutes. No hidden charges

Cons:When we asked the clerk man if it was mandatory to have a child seat according to local regulation we were answered that it was not mandatory. It wasn't true
