Kathe, our hostess was very accommodating. We told her would would not arrive until around 11 and she still waited up for us. They have 2 dogs which were not a problem. Our two daughters actually loved ogling over them. Breakfast was great and Kathe provided helpful travel suggestions which enhanced our trip.
Location Very old facilities
Great value for location. Water for tea was always Luke warm, never hot. Staff seemed a bit confused or absent at times.
The room was very spacious so was the bathroom. Customer service was great at the front desk and at the restaurant. The view would of bee pretty but there was construction going on but it was still nice to look out to the lake during the sunset. My husband and I were very happy. If the bathroom had a fan.
Excellent location Good value Decent restaurant
Convenient location to finger lake activities. Asked for an hour extension to check out and was told that was not possible. Have never had that refused before.
Loved the View of Seneca Lake from the Room & the Proximity to daughters College. Also can walk to downtown & along the lake as their constructing a new walkway which will be lovely when finished. The Room stated two Queen Beds, these were not Queen they were Double. The mattress was so sunken & broken down that we had to sleep with a pillow between us so we would stop rolling into each other! The beds are too small for two adults & our sleep was terrible which is the most important aspect for me when choosing a place to stay. Otherwise it would have gotten a higher rating. Also Bathroom floors need a deeper cleaning.
Great restaurant staff! Especially Melanie! Front desk not so much. I had to call "Hello?" several times before he got off the phone, apparently a personal call, to come to the desk to check us in. Them after advising of all the items I needed to complete to register, he stood there clicking the key cards on the desk to make me hurry up so that he could return to his phone call. Personal life first, guests second I guess. Hotel needs some renovation.
Beds were comfortable. Pool was a huge disappointment! It looked like an oversize hot tub. Room still wasn't cleaned by 3pm. Had to go ask for clean towels. Thought we had read there was a continental breakfast but there was nothing.
We stay there each time we o to Geneva. Location location location. Nice rooms. Beautiful setting. Like it all
Great location. Nice facilities.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable at a great price.
Clean, modern room A little small.
Clean, Cost, In town. Better than some of the other places I stayed. The outside and around the building was not all that inviting. Noise from the floor above kept me awake.
I contacted the front desk proud to our 5+ hr drive. They knew who I was and said they would be open 24 hrs so whenever we arrived our room was ready. When we finally checked on I was pleasantly surprised to find a large, clean room waiting. The bed was comfortable, bathroom spacious and CLEAN. We stayed 2 nights and housekeeping was excellent. I think the only thing I didn't like was there was no indoor pool lol. Other than that we would be more than happy to stay again
This is one of those hotels where, if you're not expecting everything luxury, you'll be quite happy. The rooms are clean and well-lit. You won't get double sinks and acres of counter space in the bathroom, but the shower is nice. The toiletries supplied are basic, but they work! (If you absolutely require top of the line toiletries, bring your own!) And the rough towels are a bonus: they'll exfoliate as you dry off. Save money on the hotel room and skips the next spa appointment! Win-win. I liked the room decor and the lighting in the rooms as well. Very comfortable reception area, too. It's not right in the heart of town, but close enough. The breakfasts at most mid range hotels are limited and getting skimpier. If they haven't recently purchased fresh fruit, you'll be presented with a bowl of desiccated oranges. Otherwise, you'll get just above bad bagels, barely drinkable coffee, an array of cereals to cause blood sugar spikes & plunges and nothing hot (not really even the coffee.) You can make do with yogurt, english muffin and ???? If you're on a budget, you'll stay alive doing this. If you have a bit of extra cash, try Opus downtown where the coffee is fantastic and the breakfast foods are fulfilling and delicious.
The continental breakfast was about the best I have experienced at a hotel.
All of the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. the rooms were immaculate and as you entered you were hit with a pleasant fresh smell. Service was excellent and always willing to please. Beds were extremely comfortable. Hot snacks were always available in the lobby for guests. The breakfast was adequate and plentiful; however the eggs were often overcooked and dry.
was very clean and great service
Staff was less than friendly at original attempt to check in about 2:15. Told rooms not ready until later because they were so busy with four wedding parties. When I did come back to check in about 3:30 they had plenty of rooms but also a long line checking in. Took a half hour to get to check in. Only one person on the desk despite knowing they were going to be busy. Breakfast was ok, but again the staff was not really friendly
Clerk that checked myself and others Tuesday evening , Aug. 11, was excellent. Later on that evening she solved two guests problems on WiFi. breakfast not good and area too small.
Big bed, clean sheets and towels, no nonsense accommodations for half the cost. A good selection of television channels and free Wi-Fi. It did not feel like being at a cheap hotel. it was a solid deal
The staff was very helpful in answering questions we had about the area, even offering to search things on the computer for us. The desk clerk even printed off some coupons for us that she found that we could use at places that we were traveling to the morning after our stay. The continental breakfast was very good, just enough to start your day off right.
Clean room. Nice staff
Location is perfect if you are attending an event at the CMAC. It's right across the street. Rooms are very basic and clean.parking is included. Room had flat screen tv, small kitchenette which was nice to keep food and drinks in the fridge. Please be aware this is a dorm and not a hotel. It served its purpose. Beds were firm.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Proximity to CMAC can't be beat. It's a college dorm room at the price of a luxury suite. The furnishings are spartan to use polite terms. The beds were akin to Army cots. Since it really is a dorm, you get to fall asleep to drunken college kids demonstrating their incredible intelligence into the wee hours of the morning. Even if you reserve a room for an event, don't expect it to come with a parking space. They are the closest spot to CMAC off campus and they will sell your parking spot for $20 if your car isn't in it.
Staff was excellent! Very clean and great location. Central to many things as well as a concert venue, which was the purpose of our stay. Only thing lacking were amenities usually associated with hotels. This is a dormitory setting. No carpets, coffee makers or hair dryers! A clean bed, towels and a bathroom, that's about it!
It is very close to CMAC, possibly the closest place you can stay.. The refrigerator didn't work. The shower plumbing was apparently hooked up backwards, you had to turn the water to "cold" to get hot. Not a big deal once I figured it out. This was room 106.
About 2 hours after making the reservation we received a call that the hotel had overbooked!! There was only one room available which was a handicap accessible. Went ahead with this but not happy with the change. The price stayed the same!!! This was a 50 anniversary getaway!!!
