The hotel is very nice with quality decor and updated rooms. The pool facilities were great, very clean. We were only 10 minutes away from Great Lakes Crossing Mall and a Rainforest Cafe. the only thing I would change is the mattresses. The beds were not comfortable at all. I know you don't get the best of everything, but with the upgraded quality of everything else, I expected the beds to be of equal quality. I tossed and turned all night trying to get comfortable.
Was called at 2pm asking if I was ever to check out. Apparently I had left my do not disturb sign on the door and the manager was concerned about disturbing me. I had left at 7:30am. Very considerate and classy move. Great breakfast as well. Absolutely nothing.
Breakfast Clean Rooms WiFi Friendly Staff The staff working at checkin was clearly annoyed with us. The girl training was polite and friendly, however her trainer could use a refresher on smiling and patience. Hospitality isn't for everyone. Smile and breathe it goes a long way.
Most attentive front desk check in guy. Had a great report with all the guests and knew many by first name. Starts you off on the right foot. He is very valuable to the property. Rooms were very nice, pillows perfect, mattress newer. Makes me want to stay at a Quality Inn again. Crappy internet service. I was in a room on the end so did that have anything to do with it? Kept dropping my connection which made me have to keep reloading emails.
Rooms very nice Not enough staff to check in. Same staff checking in that were getting drinks for others at side bar so those people waited too.
My family enjoyed it. Nothing.
Beds and pillows were very comfortable Breakfast ended a little early for a family on vacation 9am
The pool was clean and well-kept. The breakfast in the morning had lots of options even for picky kids. Room was not totally clean. Stains on carpet and couch, and there was garbage on the floor of the bathroom. The light for one of the beds wasn't working, and the temperature was inconsistent. Finally turned it up to 80 and even then it was occasionally cold.
They accommodated my early check-in request. Room was spacious and clean. I hung my breakfast order for the morning on my door per the instructions on the order sheet. It was never picked up and my food was not delivered in the morning. I found this to be very unprofessional.
Good location for me. Nice looking room I was there for 4 nights The first night the heater went out The second day my shower faucet fell off and hit my foot and I couldn't finish my shower 3rd day I took my face towel off the towel rack and it just fell off the wall I told front desk and it wasn't fix the next two days.
Everything Too nice of a hotel to have little kids running and yelling, this as i was checking out.
The facility had a lot of nice amenities. One day there wasn't a towel picked up of the floor after cleaning. The plastic cover for the thermostat was broken, it didn't affect the performance of the heater but it didn't look Hilton. One of the sofa cushions had a slight stain on it, nothing major, I turned it over.
Nice pool! Hotel needs uplift, have a rundown appearance like peeling wall paper, grungy carpets, etc.
Bed and shower Very noisey and new locks being insralled
The feather pillows the sauna wasn't working and the T.V. in the living area wasn't working.
Staff was very helpful. Room was clean but some issues with fridge not being very cold and kitchenette cabinet doors closing (were not aligned properly). Beds were very comfortable. Surroundings were quiet and hotel was very peaceful.
I liked the little store. I didn't buy anything but it was nice to know if I had forgotten anythin I could just buy it downstairs. The picture online showed a much larger room and mine was a little cramped.
The full kitchen, private bedroom, friendly staff, big bathroom Sounds carried from the other rooms
We were very impressed with the staff, our room, the complimentary breakfast!
Very clean, Staff very welcoming. Highly recommenced
The smell of the room. There was a cockroach in the bathroom!
My wife and I booked room online for a grad party. After long drive, got in late, room was ready and accommodations were good. Parking lot was well lit and looked reasonably well maintained. Breakfast was good as well. Overall a good value. What I didn't realize until later, however, was that a local relative had dropped off a hospitality basket ahead of time and, though it was placed in our room, a travel baseball team who was also staying there had requested changing rooms to keep them all together, and when they reassigned our room, they didn't move the basket. We eventually got it, but the kids had gotten to it first. While the front desk staff was extremely apologetic, the oversight was just unfortunate and disappointing.
I liked the front desk staff, very kind and accommodating Our first room reeked of cigarettes, while all the rooms have no smoking signs on them. The staff changed our room quickly and easily. However, There was no hot water when we arrived in our room. I addressed it with the front desk the following morning and the woman I spoke with was unable to give any discounts because she was not a manager and was not able to help us at that time and wasn't sure if we'd get some money back for the inconvenience.
Efficient, clean, orderly. Sleep Number beds and on-site restaurants Poor cell phone service in room. Could not get bars at all.
Coffee shop was solid. Quiet. For location, a good value if you're destinations are Birmingham/Bloomfield. Needs renovation. No bar. No dinner. Sleep number equipment and TV remote only marginally functional.
Clean rooms, nice location I did not have hot water in room 4 out of 7 days. The staff told me it was fixed. I woke up at 4:30 am on departure day and showered with cold water. I needed to catch a flight so didn't have much options.
I liked the location as it was close to the meeting I had to go to. The front desk staff was not very welcoming or friendly. I had to dig for information regarding local eatery. when I realized I had to walk alone and across the street, I asked about the vending machine and after walking downstairs and down the hall, I noticed there was some snacks and drinks right next to the front desk?!! The staff could have told me or offered that information. the next day, the front staff again was helpful but I felt i had to "pull teeth" to get information.
Ended up staying here for longer than planned while my home was gettting renivated. Nice location on Woodward Ave just south of Long Lake road. Less than five minutes to I-75, under ten minutes to both downtown Birmingham with great dining and business districts of Troy. Staff was friendly, did not have any negative experiences like other reviewers noted. Clean facilities but clearly showing their age. Place could use a renovation
The suite we stayed in was beautiful, large, and convenient. The kitchenette was great and very helpful. The staff was friendly. They even had Ben & Jerry's ice cream available for purchase, which was amazing! The television did not have a menu page, which was a little frustrating with how many channels were available. But everything else was great!
I liked the experience there and the staff was very nice
Staff and location The hotel was run down, with tattered furniture and holes in the walls.
Price and location Holes in walls, tattered furniture
I had the best night sleep I'd gotten in a long time! Tonight at the front desk was nothing but sweet and accommodating! She is an asset to your company Could use some updating.....but didn't affect my stay at all
Staff and location No!
The beds were actually very comfy to sleep in. The roominess was surprising. Kitchenett area was a nice touch even though i didnt cook there. I liked that it had a least three extra chairs in the room as well. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I did not like that there was no hot breakfast. I did not like that there was no where to sit on the grounds. I did not like that there was no computer station at this hotel.
The guy (Korean)who check me in was very friendly , the lady who check me out on Sunday morning need a course on how to look pleasant and friendly to the guest . Too much noice through out night , horrible cable tv line up
Full size fridge Microwave didn't work. We planned on using it for dinner. We lost food that we bought and had to leave to eat
No smoking rooms

Rooms were very clean. Breakfast choices where excellent.
Great friendly staff, beautiful large bathroom, lovely clean room. Continental breakfast left a lot to be desired, even for a hotel continental breakfast: greasy meat, weird eggs, and cereal. There was a waffle maker, true! But often a continental breakfast has some protein options, some good toast ... and it was all on paper plates with plastic utensils, which was discouraging.
This hotel is very convieniently located. Weather your visiting ford feild, the zoo, or auburn palace this is a great choice. There are plenty of restaurants in the area and the mall has something for everyone. The hotel itself is very clean and has a wonderful staff. You will be greeted with a smile and taken well care of. They try very hard to accommodate you needs or wants. My family, myself- husband- 8year old- 5 year old, have stayed here multiple times and never have any problems. There wasn't anything we didn't like. However, I would suggest that they have their cleaning staff move the night stands and desks so they're able to clean behind them. There were broken balloons and straw wrappers behind ours. Not the worst thing that could happen but I'd still appreciate them making sure the previous guests garbage was all taken care of.
Location we needed, clean, friendly, good breakfast. Housekeeping tried to come in at 9 am while we were still getting ready and had not checked out yet.
One of the best hotels I have stayed at. Front desk was swamped at check-in, and it was still the fastest service. The room was spotless. All employees were friendly. Breakfast staff greeted us with good morning's and smiles! Thank you for a great stay!!!
The room, staff were wonderful. Breakfats was nice too. Kids unsupervised in pool, loud, people above our room were very loud, had to make many complaints to the front desk.
Clean, large rooms. Nicely appointed so it met my needs. Close to where I needed to be and conveniently located right off the freeway. I thought it was a bit pricey. Probably wouldn't have stayed there if I'd been alone, but was sharing the cost with my cousin who met me there for a family gathering.
We arrived early and they were able to accommodate us! The location is awesome. We can't believe this is only a 2.5 star hotel. We have paid a lot more and received a lot less from higher rated hotels. This was our second stay and I know it won't be our l Nothing.
Pool and hot tub for the kids. The free breakfast was great
mattress was not great.Complimentary breakfast disappointing. Half of food choices they were out of.Breakfast area not well maintained by staff.

Its approximity to the airport. The hotel is run down dirty smelly and sleazy.
Everything was fine Hot tub a little loud then we had to turn tv up that was not ideal. I don't know if all rooms in basement had Hot Tub but room next to ours at 4:00 in the morning were talking so loud it woke me up. I don't know if it was because they were using the Hot Tub or not
It was a great hotel I asked for a jacuzzi suite and got the handicap room it was still nice tho
perfect location. quiet. friendly staff
Front desk person was kind but very sloppy in appearence. Front desk often up staffed. The room was decent but bathroom was not very clean. Toilet ran all the time. Free breakfast only during the week and only coffee with powder creamer for weekend mornings.
The desk clerk made me feel inferior since he stated that I had booked 'with one of those computer websites'. The room had a strong curry odor that permeated the walls, carpeting, etc, a empty beer bottle was on the floor, beside the bed, there were 3 long black hairs in the bathtub and the water pipes banged all night. In the chair, that pulled out into a bed, there was dark coloured debris. There was no shampoo conditioner, etc in the room-just 2 small bars of soap. We were under the impression that a light breakfast was provided but in the morning we were told that the continental breakfast is not available on weekends. In the morning the desk clerk confirmed that a long staying guest had been in the room who cooked with curry. (the room had a kitchenette).
We got a GREAT price on this hotel. The hotel reception personnel were fairly friendly. When we got to our room the A/C unit was making a loud noise, so we called to see if someone could fix it. I knew I wouldn't get any sleep with it running. The staff quickly moved us across the hall where the A/C was fine. The hotel is a very tired and shabby. It was ok, but I don't think I would recommend it. Breakfast is coffee/muffins only. Go across the street to the little breakfast place-the food is good.
I was stayed in this cheap terrible hotel on oct 2007 for 2 nights with my family. We were 4 ppl in the trip and booked 2 rooms. I was the one who booked the rooms through their website because I stayed with their other property before and they will email me a promotional code every week! This hotel is so dirty the carpet is not clean and the air conditioning is not working, due to the long trip in the day and the weather is not that hot so we were too tired to ask to change rooms. But the wall is so thin you can hear everything in the lounge and the next room, it was so noisy in the morning 7-10am from the ppl warking in the lounge we couldn't sleep until we wanted to. Remember we had booked for 2 nights we don't need to wake up so earily to check out! We tried to fly some eggs in the morning but the fan in the kitchen is FAKE, not a REAL fan with suck all the smoke outside of the room, the room was full of smoke that we had to stop cooking and opened all the windons and door. The kitchen was useless because you can't use it without a fan and there had NO REAL FAN. Finally we checked out on the 3rd morning when we looked at the bill they didn't give us a $* off for the promotional code we booked for, they keep saying that we didn't had the code when we were booked the rooms. Well! I received their email every week and book right through from that email with the promotional code but they refuse to give us. The staff are rude his name is X! Don't stay there!
This room was clean and was like a kitchenette. More then I expected for the night. The man checking me in was friendly and helpful. During the night there was someone banging on the outside door which my room was next to. He was yelling his key wouldn't work. Thank went on until the personel told him he was going to have to quiet down. After that, it was quiet.
The hotel and rooms were extremely clean (and that's comin from a germaphob). Only ripe...it was the smallest room ever...but it did have a fride and dishwasher.
I have stayed at this hotel many times during the past 2 years; I am pleased to report that every time I have stayed, the staff has always gone above and beyond to meet my needs. Not only is the value spectacular, but the location is nearby the city of Detroit, as well as prime location for days of shopping at the Great Lakes Outlet Mall. If I'm in the area, I always stay the Extended Stay - and recommend the value to family and friends!
The standard room places the queen sized bed against the A/C unit. A couple using the bed means the person next to the A/C will freeze, and must then climb over the other person to get out of bed. I paid an upgrade fee to move to a two bedded room but its location next to an entrance made it smoke filled due to the smokers outside (not to mention the incident of the retching woman). We stayed here a few years ago and it was a much better experience. Time has not been kind to this facility.
The Extended Stay Deluxe Auburn Hills is a nice hotel for the value offered.
The big guy who works the front desk took three tries to get us a room that was clean, and also unoccupied. Things were fine once we got inside though. The elevator smells like a dog peed in it. But enjoy your room, it's really not bad!
Great hotel for the value! Prime location for shopping as well as the city.
I booked on line...my sister was going to pay--I drive and buy food.since I booked she couldn't pay!! The beds are too high! Hideous view back of u.s. Mail and back of pier one...booked early and still ended up with a pet room!!! I don't have pets don't want a pet room!!!!!
It met my expectations for a 2 1/2 star hotel No
The staff stands out above all, each and everyone of them were friendly helpful and effective to all my needs. From referring great nearby places to eat to extending my stay over the phone. They shine in my eyes Alittle loud in the hall ways, I believe it was kids at times but also maid service staff banter was alittle imposing. Definitely not sound proof but some of it could be controlled alittle better by addressing the maid and maintenence staff
Easy to purchase water and coffee available at breakfast Room smelled mildewy
Clean, everything in repair nothing
Very clean, nice amenities, great breakfast (especially the cinnamon rolls) No
Booked for two days - only stayed one. They wouldnt give me a rebate for the one day. They said it was YOUR policy
Rooms on the first floor where dark. No accessibility suites.
It was in the location I needed to stay. There were many night time disturbances. Smokers outside our window all night. Drunk guests blaring music in hall. Police showed up at 4am due to drunk guests. Never anything from desk to move to different room or refund due to NO sleep.
The staff from the front desk to the lady who earned up my food at breakfast. Wonderful for going above and beyond.
Loved the continental breakfast. Great selection and the pancakes were absolutely tasty. The staff was also very helpful and friendly and kept the area clean even with a lot of breakfast traffic. The pool was nice and warm but a bit stuffy and full of a bit of a rowdy alcohol crowd at times.
Mattresses and bedding are very comfortable. Hotel was clean. Staff were very nice - all of them and we were there a long time. Everything worked. The rooms were dark - great for sleeping but had great lighting options. Highly recommend. The only negative thing I can say is that their shampoo and toiletries are very difficult to get out of the bottles. They waste a lot because the plastic the bottles are made of is so hard you cannot squeeze the product out. Products were meh.
When we checked in they only had kings beds available & we have 2 little kids so they upgraded us for free to a suite! In the morning then entire staff was very friendly & went above and beyond -giving our kids stickers, fruit snacks & making french toast
