Upside: nice large screen TVs, despite the room being pretty small all the little things were well organized and efficient it was t a detriment The Bad: First room had an access panel that was hanging above the shower with a dirty tub. Second room the bed sagged quite a bit it was difficult for either of us to sleep. You had to validate your parking with the desk everything you went in and out

1.9 Awful
When we arrived at the Hilton, there was a sign that the hotel was closed and customers were relocated to a different hotel nearby. We trudged over there with all our luggage, only to be told that our reservation had been cancelled and they were fully booked. They showed us the email they received from the booking company claiming that we had refused the relocation and requested the cancellation. This was all the first we were hearing about any of this. When my husband called the booking service to complain and get a refund, they hung up on him. We eventually got a refund with more time and effort. This was horrible.

10.0 Excellent
Pros:Room was perfect for me and I slept very well; comfortable bed and pillows, clean, huge TV, beautiful view of west side hills, and very convenient for conference and downtown activities. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Reservationists were able to keep me in my same room for all three nights even though I had to make two reservations (one at conference rate and one at Hilton Honors rate for the night not covered by the conference).
Cons:Because of my back to back reservations, the digital key would not work during the 2nd reservation. The digital key is super convenient so I missed not being able to use it the last 2 nights, but it wasn’t a big deal to carry the key card. The only other suggestion is as a conference attendee: I’m a big water drinker and carry a water bottle throughout the day. There had been plenty of water to refill my bottle but it would have been nice if I could have filled my container with ice too.

2.0 Bad
Pros:Hotel is always wonderful.
Cons:Due to snow and ice storm I had to cancel. The hotel was fine with it. It was within their 24 hours. Unfortunately, the company I used on kayak stated I would have needed to cancel on the same date that I reserved!!!!! Are you kidding me? Don't reserve through them. They do not care what terms the hotel has.

Pros:Tuesday night, December 20, the elevators were so noisy I was deprived of my sleep. Hilton should check the elevators There was construction going on so lobby level elevators were roped off for the evening so guests had to walk up two flights of stairs to gain access to the elevators. It appeared the construction crew was cognizant of cleaning up and they kept the worksite swept. However, on the 20th floor the glass table near the elevator looked as though it hadn't been dusted in several days. There was enough dust to write ones name on the glass! On a positive note, the employees at the front desk were very helpful at check in.

Cons:Overpriced valet parking Self parking across the street Rooms similar to cheaper budget hotels outside of downtown

Cons:No exercise facility on premis. No in room water. Breakfast is no available before 6:30 am.

Pros:excellent customer service. very accommodating.
Cons:Extremely loud - the room above us and the people next door were very loud.
A
6.5 Okay
Pros:The location of this hotel is very convenient for downtown activities and proximity to suggested things to do in Portland. The lobby and bar area are very nice. The work-out gym is also very good.
Cons:While the Hilton is very convenient, there are some problems with this hotel compared to other hotels in this class. While free parking is not included, there is pay-to-park available from the hotel, but the hotel charges twice as much as the parking garage that is just around the corner(price gouging is not okay.) When I tried to ask staff about the private parking garage, they did everything they could to talk me out of it. Don't pay the excessive Hilton parking charge. I am finding that most hotels these days provide free internet in the rooms and in the lobby. I travel and stay at world-class hotels at least twice a month. So I broke down and paid for the premium internet access at the Hilton. It was far from premium. Not the slowest I have ever seen, but close to it. Also, at this level of hotel, I would expect all the rooms to have charging facilities for electronic devices. Sad to say, but the technical comfort of the room was anything but hi-tech!!

8.8 Great
Pros:The beds were very comfortable, clean space, (small) but functional bathroom. The gym was *great*, large and definitely had everything I needed to lift weights and do cardio, including a small room with mirrors. It's also very centrally located, and easy to bus to and from, which is one of the best aspects of the hotel.
Cons:I definitely didn't realize there was no complimentary breakfast, and they gave us two full beds instead of a single queen (which is what we reserved).
