Pros: The place is great and the surroundings are beautiful. There is a lake next to the lodge and you can borrow complementary canoes and kayaks. They even offer you a complimentary happy hour. The room was nice and comfortable. We really liked this place. I would strongly recommend to stop there if you have the chance.
Pros: The Summit Lake Lodge was the highlight of our trip to Alaska ! We stayed at a couple of relatively high end Lodges on our trip and both of them fell well short of This place !! Everyone was especially helpful and friendly (Riley is the bomb !) The rooms are quaint and it was easily the most comfortable bed we slept on during our entire trip. The Food was beyond our expectations … I just can't say enough nice things about the Summit Lake Lodge !!
Cons: Nothing … It was perfect !
Pros: Probably one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. We upgraded to a cabin on the lake and it was truly amazing.
Cons: Apparently no fish in the lake....not really under the lodge's control but slightly disappointing......amazing surroundings though....some of the best in Alaska (and that is saying a lot).
Pros: By the lake side, good for fishing, canoeing and a friendly private plane pilot.
Pros: The staff was so lovey and the mattress was quite possibly the best mattress I’ve ever slept on in my whole life. I must know what kind of mattress that was!
Pros: We originally planned to stay in Seward, then found Summit Lake Lodge. SO glad we chose to stay here instead of in Seward. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. The breakfast was great. The property was beautiful: our cabins were cleans, spacious and beautifully decorated. Absolutely a wonderful place to spend a couple nights while enjoying all AK has to offer in this area!

With a stay at Midnight Sun Log Cabins in Moose Pass, you'll be a 1-minute walk from Chugach National Forest and 9 minutes by foot from Grant Lake Trail. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: No one let us in. We showed up to a locked cabin and no desk people.
Pros: Owner was friendly, not much talkative though. He washed our clothes for us for free :). Our cabin was comfortable and spacious enough. Location is very good - just on the highway to Anchorage.
Cons: There was a loft in the cabin with two beds. Ceiling was pretty low on one side so we had to be careful when we got up but the main disadvantage was nonopenable windows so we couldn´t get any fresh air before going to sleep.
Pros: The cabin had a wonderful deck to sit out on with a very nice view. It was quiet for the most part, the hot water heater was a little noisy in the middle of the night, but for the most part it was a nice little cabin.
Pros: Owner and his wife were very friendly and accommodating. Our cabin was clean and the in room coffee was good.
Pros: Very laid back and casual. Cabin was minimal quality but clean and adequate.
Cons: Front door is badly bowed and difficult to close. No tv or wi-fi but dvds available. Forgot to request breakfast so no idea what it is. Checkout is earlier than I would have liked especially after the long drive.
Pros: The environment and nature Beautiful
Cons: Really expensive for the place Really bad bathroom.
Pros: Welcoming host. Had a nice stay.
Pros: The cabin is rustic, exactly the way it is described on the site; no surprises. The owner, Chris, is a very nice fellow who cooks some mean pancakes for breakfast. The location is excellent, with easy access to Kenai, Homer, Anchorage, Seward and Whittier. It is a good value for the cost, especially if you are traveling as a couple with children.
Cons: Too much highway noise. How about some eggs to go with those delicious pancakes?
