Very stylish hotel, inside and out - including our room. Great facilities and excellent staff - friendly, yet professional and efficient.
Comfortable hotel with a very friendly staff. Excellent location and great price. Every morning the staff would knock on the door waking me up to see if I needed anything. I could hear them knock on every door nearby...it was annoying as I like to sleep in sometimes.
Zocalo, museums, music, otdoor cafee
The location of the hotel. The service was very poor. Many mistakes, too many for 2 nights stay.
super quiet and very well organized, with staff speaking English as well as German, a comfort to foreign visitors no
The location was good, the rooms were clean and quiet and very comfortable Food was overpriced
very well located, clean... no free parking, no free wireless, brekfast poor
Fantastic location for getting around on foot. Within a few blocks there are plenty of sights and foods to experience. Friendly and helpful staff who didn't seem to mind my Spanglish. Facilities were well kept and quite spacious. It's definitely a modern hotel for a city with such history and colonial aesthetic.
Very helpful staff and excellent location; modern and clean wit good size bedrooms/bathrooms, comfortable beds and free wifi. Good buffet breakfast and restaurant with plenty of choice. Noise coming from close bedrooms, better soundproffing needed, but a great hotel.
staff quick and eager to help. no free water or coffee in room.
I had to change rooms twice when we arrived because they had given me a room with one bed and I asked for two beds. The second room was being cleaned when we approached it.
We stayed in the Porfiriano Suite. The view was nice and the room was very large and decorated in the era of Porfirio Diaz. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was good.
The hotel is awesome! The architecture, furniture, everything of the hotel was incredibly beautiful. I never take pictures of my hotel room, this time we did. Frescos, paintings, deco furniture all very enjoyable and very nice t live in for a while. Go and see, it is difficult to explain.Of course, do not expect jacuzzi bath or things like that, it is not the kind of place for that. You must be the kind of person to enjoy a very particular place. Nonetheless, we had free wi-fi, an immense retroflection TV set in the room (together with a very old valves radio set, of course not working). Location was excellent in front of the Rectorate and 200 m form the Zocalo. We had to wait for a while before hot water reaches the bath and the shower was not perfection, but this is not what I will remember of the hotel (I will remember the pluses). No lift (for those who need one, not a problem for us), given the structure of the building.
LOBBY, CLEANING PEOPLE THIS HOTEL HAS GONE DOWNHILL , THERE ARE NO EXTRAS WHAT SO EVER, TATTERED AND FRAYED CARPET AND BEDDING, ROOM GO UNPAINTED FOR MANY MANY YEARS. MANAGER LOOKS RIGHT THRU YOU, OFFERS NOTHING IN THE WAY OF SERVICE, FRONT DESK HAVE NO SENSE OF COSTOMER SERVICE, VERY UNFRIENDLY, I GUESS THEY WERE TRAINED BY THE MANAGER. I HAD A ROOM WITH A VIEW OF A WALL, COULD NOT SEE ANYTHING ELSE BUT A WALL, HAVE THE PICS AS PROOF. IF YOU NEED ANYTHING IN THE WAY OF SEVICE FORGET IT, DO NOT LET THE BEAUTIFUL LOBBY FOOL YOU.
Nice housecleaning staff, good location for see museums, churches and centuries old buildings along streets. Also good for pottery and weavings shopping. Pleasant inside patio with small pool, filled with cold water. Very noisy location, lots of loud traffic, ear plugs a necessity for sleeping. Seemed overpriced in comparison with Hotel Colonial down the street, which is on a pedestrians-only plaza. ``Deluxe'' room was small and dark; we switched to a so-called suite, which was larger, higher ceiling, but noisier and cost nearly 50 per cent more than the room we had originally been put in. No rooms with microwaves or suite type refrigerators.
Downtown Puebla is real nice so since this hotel is there, that's such a good thing. Maybe the bathroom a little
Reasonable hotel at a very good location close to the historic centre/ zocalo in Puebla. The atmosphere at the hotel is friendly. I experienced it as a good and safe place to stay, important for a woman travelling alone. The service at the restaurante was a bit slow, seemed to be to busy during breakfast hours. I got the impression that the employees at the reastaurant did their best, but were to few to handle big groups
Cleanliness, quiet Continental breakfast it's a joke.
The location - one and a half short blocks from the main plaza (Zocalo) Almost everything. The reception service was unfriendly, almost rude. Then they wanted to put us in a very ugly room that had a door-window facing the pool. After we complained they put us in another room that was better, but the shower was very small and the floor was very dirty (and when I say dirty, I mean that when we walked without our socks on our feet would get black with dirt). In fact, in the 3 nights we stayed, the floor remained dirty. Then, the receptionist told us that they had supposedly undercharged us because they had not taken into account the tax, which was 17%. The price tag became much higher (about 100 USD a night) which is grossly overpriced for that hotel -we have stayed in much better hotels in Mexico for half of that
The hotel staff was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay and would return.
Location near the zocalo the online booking was not honored by the hotel. No breakfast included as clearly stated in the on line site and the rate for 3 nights was more than the on line offer. The elevator was not working. No restaurant operating. dining room set up but no activity.
