The staff was really friendly and accommodating.
Got moved to a better room after our bathroom flooded.
Tried to take a shower and the drain was clogged and started to flood the room. Some one threw up in front of our door and no one cleaned it up even when a made was cleaning a room across from ours.
Towels were dirty, stained, had someone's hair on them. We asked for new towels and those weren't any better. Pillows also had stains but we brought our own. Room was clearly old. Corners of walls, doors, furniture was chipped and scuffed. Wallpaper was peeling a tiny bit, etc. Staff was fine and helpful in all of our interactions. Casino is small compared to others but has all the staples. Overall it was fine enough to stay there for two nights, but not that clean or nice and I'd probably never stay there again.
I was very disappointed when I arrived in the rain, hauled all my stuff up to the room only to find out that once I got all set up I had to leave because "Cats are not allowed".... I walked down the hall hearing atleast 10-15 dogs howling and it sounded like the dog pound. I understand that not every hotel will allow cats, but it was really frustrated to them be kicked out of the hotel because I had a cat. I was also still charged the fee of the room after it was all said and done., and I didn't even stay there. I will never stay at the Sands Regency again. Honestly most of the staff thought it was ok to have a cat and was even more surprised when we got kicked out....
The location and price.
Kayak said the check in fee was $29 and the Sands insisted it was $49. Overall, the Sands is looking pretty old and worn. Light bulbs out and not fixed in the room - just not much attention to detail. WIFI was only 512k without a paid upgrade (and then only 1.5M).
price was ok, but if you want a deal, only order one night. They'll try to entice you to stay by offering $29 the next night. Wish I'd known. Easy in and out and friendly service staff. Counter clerks not so much.
Smoky, even on the nonsmoking floor. Had to keep the airconditioner on all the time to keep the smoke out.
The towels were gross and stained. The bell captain was incredibly rude. I had scheduled a ride to the airport the previous night for 7:15am. The bell captain informed me the next morning that the shuttle left on the hour. I explained that I had arranged a different time with one of the employees, and he said the employee was mistaken. "Well, since a Sands employee told me otherwise, will the hotel pay for my cab ride to the airport?" I asked. The bell captain said no. Finally he agreed to take me and another guest, but was clearly irritated about it.
The floor we stayed on was a dump.
I like the blackjack tables with the five dollar minimums and only two decks of the time being built
Large room, clean. Excellent value for money.
Hard to find reception.
Easy to get to. Cheap.
Had my bike stolen from the back of my truck in the parking deck (it was locked). They have no security cameras in the parking deck. A casino WITHOUT security cameras. go figure.
We like the hotel and room where we stayed, the hotel is situated in the center place of the city The comforts are good There are many places near by to walk and visit in casino its a very big hotel The safety is good
We dnt have a brighter light and we didnt have a coffee pot or water , But the rates are very higher,
close to other casinos
we asked for a non smoking room, we got a smoking room
Hmmmmm casino was ok promotions were good that's about it
Had to get new room keys 3 times , TV only had 10 channels , toilet ran non stop n never did anything to make me happy, I will NEVER stay here again
Fun atmosphere...centrally located ....buffet was AWESOME for price!
Clean and spacious.
TV was sub par.
Room was not very good. Vent didn't work in bathroom and there were no do not disturb signs. No small fridge. Staff was nice and overall worth $200. I will stay at another casino next trip
Well it is a smoking casino so when you walk through the site your hit with a cloud. The entire place looks like it dates circa 1980. The tv s are CRT monsters it 2015 folks get with the time. All night long wirring of the elevator. The waking dead were there to the people looked like literal zombies. Never again even if it was the end of the world.
Large room, walking distance from the action; nice views, low prices
Non-smoking room still had a whiff of stale tobacco. Be prepared to snake through tacky casino to get to the elevator (once you're at the elevator it's like any hotel)
That it was down town
The rooms were still dirty when they gave us a key and were rude when we asked to switch and then when we tried to get extra pillows they were rude and said we couldn't have any because we switched rooms. The bathrooms had residue and the sheets and beds seemed to be left dirty.
It was affordable
A little trashy
My Son and I had traveled from the East to participate in a graveside service and to join family for a celebratory luncheon. Some of the family stayed here; and this establishment made a sad journey happier. More than adequate. I can commend it without reservation. A very good choice.
A bit noisy lbut understandable in a casino setting. Did not affect a sound sleep. The Mel's Diner breakfasts were superb; the buffet adequate and convenient. Parking free in well lit lots. All in a beautiful mountain setting, visible from our room.
It was cheap. They have a Mel's diner
If you'd like to give up on life and become a meth addict, this is the place for you. I've never been offered spp many illicit drugs in such a short time. In the elevator, on the casino floor, in the parking lot... Also, once you're all strung out, you won't even notice how dirty the rooms are or how many renovations need to take place before the building could be brought up to code for a fallout shelter.
The room was huge! Very comfortable beds with comforters instead of bedspreads. I took advantage of the pool and the gym on the top floor. The gym has a huge jacuzzi right in front of the window facing the sunset.
Slots machines were the tightest I've ever seen. I couldn't gamble more than 30 minutes here because I would run out of money that fast. Nothing like Vegas where the machine will let you play for a while.
Love the value
Immediate surroundings are a bit rough.
The room was cute. Nothing fancy, but still nice. And for 1/3 of the price of other hotels, it was great.
The neighborhood felt a little sketchy for a family, but that isn't anything the hotel is responsible for. "Room Service" was kind of a joke. It was food from the diner downstairs, delivered by a guy who has no way of accepting credit cards without taking your cc back downstairs and running it there. They forgot our oder for about 45 minutes, then delivered cold food. We asked for a replacement, which they happily provided. Airport Shuttle service doesn't begin until 6am.
The staff needs more training. I was charged a $75 deposit even though I booked through Booking.com. Next morning the front desk told me they never should have done that. This place sucks!
it was cheap
bed was uncomfortable, they are seriously under staffed
The location in downtown Reno was easy to get to, the rooms were large.
Front desk was rude, no valet service, NOISY rooms, uncomfortable beds and pillows, parking garage only good for VERY small cars, super low ceilings and the hanging bar actually rubbed across the roof of our F150, this truck is well under the posted 7' height! Buffet was very small, expensive for so little, only serves dinner. The one diner that serves breakfast was horrible! Food was flavorless. Worst diner food I have had in 50 years of traveling!
Disappointed will not come back poor service,
The Manager. Poor service
It wasn't too far of a walk to other casinos.
No fridge, no microwave, shower head sucked.
