Pros: We absolutely loved our stay at Dream House Country Inn and Sue and Steve were AMAZING hosts! We stayed four nights and woke up each morning to an incredible home made breakfast. They were able to give us advice on things to see in the area, made dinner reservations for us, and made us feel so comfortable and welcome in their home. The house itself is beautiful and in a great location. I'm only sorry we couldn't stay longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: it was all great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming rural location with even more charming hosts. I can't say enough about the the breadfasts, Sue even gave us some of her yummy grandmother's nut cake to snack on as we traveled!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have stayed in B&Bs throughout the country and this was hands-down by far the best experience I’ve ever had. It is beautifully appointed, absolutely immaculate, and the hosts are the greatest people. The bonus was that the breakfast was an absolute treat. My family left the grudgingly loaded down with homemade baked goods that surpasses anything I’ve had in a while!
Cons: Nothing!

Cons: n/a

We enjoyed their tips to visit Vermont and we found the hidden gems of Addison County. We come as guests and left as friends. Would definitely stay here again.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We could not have been to a better place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was great. The menu was very extensive and the quality was excellent.
6.8 Good
Pros: The best part was was the staff—extremely friendly and solicitous. Also, the outside of the hotel is the lovely quintessential white clapboard typical of New England hamlets.
Cons: When I arrived, I was told that I had been “upgraded,” which I accepted as true without looking at the original room description, because I was in a rush to get to a meeting. Holy hell. When I came back and took a good look around, I realized that the room needed a serious makeover. The furniture was old and beat-up. The bathroom, which looks like it was updated in 1970, had a plastic shower. Have no idea what people think is attractive or comfortable about the inside of these rooms. The exterior exudes New England charm, but the room was a dump— stained rug, water stains on the dresser where a wet glass had been left. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. I ended up having to spend an extra night in town and I went to the Marriott Courtyard on Rt. 7 which was the Taj Majal by comparison.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The dinner was outstanding. The grounds surrounding the main were beautiful- many of the plants were in full bloom. Spring is a great time of year to visit this property.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was lovely. It's off season so I didn't even see much stuff besides at breakfast. Amy who I guess is the manager was around in all areas pitching in. Breakfast was amazing and HUGE! I have dietary restrictions, and the cook was so accommodating offering to make the pancake special with gluten free flour. It was quiet which is exactly what I needed. And there is a pub / restaurant at the back which was perfect to eat, have a drink and relax in the living room or go up to my room. I was there because my son was doing the Preview Days at Middlebury, but I was looking to disconnect and relax in the off times.
Cons: There was really nothing I didn't like. There was only the small fact that I was a little confused at the lack of staff at first, but then was told that it was low season. If anything, because I arrived late at night and got in with a code (I didn't mind at all), I wish there would have been a bit more info given, like the wifi password and info about the pub. Perhaps someone prepared to greet me in the morning to explain things and answer my silly questions. I was given a phone number to call if I had a problem, so I didn't feel like there wasn't someone there if I had a problem. My simple orientation wasn't something I would call about. It's a small detail, but I expect a bit more personal attention at an inn. It doesn't change my high recommendation and I will surely return. This is just a 'food for thought' detail, if I'm going to be honest about my stay.

Pros: The room was nice, the complimentary breakfast in bed was a nice touch. It is in a great location.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff when checking out were particularly accommodating, offering me the chance to leave after lunch and finding shoes I had left behind.

Pros: The owners and staff are tremendous and create a very welcoming environment. It's a true feel New England Inn with terrific food. Our room was very comfortable and spacious.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, accommodating. Breakfast was excellent and made to order, I liked we had a choices daily. Mornings with a cup of coffee outside was relaxing and quiet. The Inn is quaint and cozy. The restaurant was closed on the 2 nights we stayed but we would like to go back and try it. We heard very good things about it.

Pros: Location right downtown Middlebury with great parking.
Cons: The beds are rock hard and temperature control in the room is a challenge.
7.5 Good
Cons: Slow breakfast service. One hour between ordering and being served.
4.3 Okay
Cons: This hotel should be a 3-star establishment. The exterior is charming but the inside really needs an update. The bookings ratings really raises expectations. This placed is way overpriced for what you get. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. Never staying here again.

Pros: Loved the innkeepers. The breakfast was great. There are a lot of lovely places to hang out in the inn, including hanging our feet in the pool on a hot evening.
Cons: The town is in the process of upgrading it’s streets and sidewalks so walking around was a little rough. But the inn is just the kind my family likes.

Pros: This hotel exceeded our expectations! It's just been remodeled and was clean, super cute, updated modern furniture and the staff was lovely. The rooms are candy themed and the motel is home to Vermont's largest candy store! We actually stayed in two rooms the M&M and the Hershey Kiss! You choose your continental breakfast choices and they are delivered in a basket to your room!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Love how easy they make checking in and out. We stay here every time we come up to VT for work. So awesome!

7.5 Good
Pros: cereal, milk was nice and cold, danish was good
Cons: didn't have tea--didn't know how to make coffee(don't like coffee) they said they would make it for me if I wanted it. If I had known they had no tea but had hot water(which they did I guess in the coffee maker) I would have brought my own tea bag. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

Pros: Candy store attached. Customized breakfast. You choose from a list of items and Missy will make sure that breakfast is in the room. She will also email you your door combination.
Cons: I know the hotel is still renovating, but the shower was extremely small!!! Don't know how a man could comfortably shower. Also, I barely touched the shower doors and they came off their track!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is an old-fashioned motel that has been well remodeled. Our double room was large and comfortable. A continental breakfast was provided in a basket in the room, based upon choices we indicated on a checklist. This was a nice addition. Check-in/check-out was very easy! We were texted a door code so did not have to worry about keys or arriving late.

Cons: Couldn’t understand the breakfast. Only got itbtge first morning
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved it all! Your front desk person was super friendly and the room was small, but just what we needed! It was wonderfully clean, and we loved the candy theme and little dish of candies you left for us. Everything worked well-shower was great, having USB's mounted near the end tables was perfect, and the bed was comfie, too. We will definitely come again next time we visit our daughter in Middlebury! PS-Forgot to mention that our grandson was over the moon with your candy shop! We gave him $10. to spend and he was in heaven!
Cons: Toilet seemed a bit sluggish.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the room neat and clean.it was located near my destination .the people I spoke with to get my code were pleasant.

Pros: Personal family touch of the inn owners. The rustic beauty of this 230 year old home is amazing as is the surrounding garden and grape vines. Adjacent to the river and a fun 18 hole golf course. The town of Brandon has a 4 star restaurant, the Cafe Provence, which is more characteristic of a town of 50,000 than a town of 3000.
