Nice bathrooms and comfortable spacious rooms. I did not like the stain on one of my mattresses and didn't like that wifi had a fee. Not trying to pay for internet when it's costly already.
The room was spacious, clean, and the beds are sooooo comfortable!!! The shower is simply amazing, it was probably my favorite. Being that's it's a casino it was a little out of the way, but well worth the extra driving time.
They've added a fee for wi-fi and the hotel continues to age without much maintenance. Stains on the carpet, very limited but expensive food and restaurant options, lamps with torn shades... just a general, unwelcomed decline. My last time at this property.
We received excellent rate through hotels.com. Location to power and light very close and they have a free shuttle. Charge for parking.

Very Friendly staff everywhere I went. Large, clean, comfortable room. Love the view of the city. Close to food, jazz clubs, and crown center. Would definately recommend for a business trip or with the family. Nice, open bar with food.

The walkways that connect to places to eat ,stores etc. the best about this hotel. And the lobby is nice. Lines to check in and out were long and slow. I suggest you sort lines. I had prepaid and booked and still had to stand in line to check-in for 20 minutes.Had to pay by day for WiFi. So we went to free wifi locations away from hotel. Should not have to pay for that in a hotel that charges per day what this one does. And the charge per day for parking again should at least be one fee per stay. Now for the worst part of our trip. We were put by elevator. And could hear the elevator every trip up and down. All day and night. Did not get a good nights sleep. So if you stay here make sure to ask for room away from elevator locations!

I travel a lot and this was by far the best staff I've ever come across they are all about customer survice. We stayed three nights and was treated like family. On our second night there the staff knew us by name. It's enjoyable to know that they take the time to better understand and take notice in their guests One thing I didn't like is having to pay for WiFi. If I'm paying to stay I should be able to connect to the WiFi for free but if this is all I can complain about it was well worth the stay
The tub was nice and deep and the bed was pretty comfy. It was a very convenient distance from the casino floor. The mat in the bathtub was disgusting and when I stepped into the shower I discovered a romantic message from a previous guest, so while the shower didn't look dirty, I doubt it had actually been cleaned. We selected a smoking room so I was expecting smoke stink, but was a bit unprepared for just how bad it was. Pretty poor sound proofing too. We had a lamp that didn't work and a busted light switch. Overall the price did not match what I expect from a junior suite.

This hotel is beautiful and well located. Very comfortable bed and nice bathroom products. Wish the room had fridge and microwave and room service was open later. Would also be nice if there were a pool.
The hotel location was exactly where we needed The hotel is under construction which is understandable if managed properly. This was not. The water was turned off all day before we checked in and was being turned off again the next day so we couldnt even shower. We were woken up at 7:30 am by noise.
Has the potential to be charming - was under construction. Had a lighted mirror in the bathroom - don't find those very often. No restaurant & no room service. Wallpaper is starting to peel from the wall in the bathroom. Microwave on top of the desk - took up much of the available space.
The location was nice, in the middle of downtown. Hotel Phillips was rated as a four star hotel, so our expectations were high. Instead our room was not vacuumed, the carpeting was clearly damaged, and the wall paper was literally peeling from the walls. It was worse than the 2/3 hotels we've stayed in.

The location is fantastic. Close proximity to restaurants and Bars. The new tram is close by and connects you to Union Station. Is a historic hotel with a well preserve interior and exterior lobbies. There is construction everywhere at the hotel. They start at 8am drilling loudly all over the place. if you expect to sleep in, you will be out of luck.
The location was kind of centralized so it was close to just about everything we wanted to do, and the room itself was pretty awesome...:)
I loved the history wrapped up in this hotel! What a great location! Cheap parking, great staff, and even though there is currently a huge renovation project going on, it was as clean as it could be and very quiet in our room.

The second room was cleaner and bug free at least. Where to begin, I am not one to complain but i have had better experience's at a $40.00 a night budget motel. Hidden driveway. no adequate parking or place to park to check in, Rooms smelt stale and had roaches in it, the bath tub in 2 rooms would not drain or drained extremely slow, The pool had no entry or exit steps, just a ladder. There was breakfast offered, but they wanted over $11.00 per person for some buffet scrambled eggs and cold cereal. The beds were hard as a rock. the noise from the lobby echoed throughout the hotel and down the halls. when i called to ask why the lobby was so noisy as i had a 7 year old trying to sleep. i was told quiet hours were after 11:00pm.
Close to arrowhead The hot water served tasted like coffee. The bar/eating had real poor service and took evening help forever to serve you both days and they was not busy. The breakfast food was cold. Taco John was faster next door to get waited on. For $180 a night the soap dispenser in shower was not filled. For money I would stay at Drury Inn down road with free breakfast and evening free drinks and food.
Best selling point is the location to the sports complex. The facility was clean. It was a nice place to stay but exception. I would stay there again.
The night clerk was very bubbly and friendly on check in and was helpful in helping me figure out how to get to the wifi. There should have been a better explanation in the room literature on how to access the internet from the room. It still refers to a data port on the phone, which is a bit outdated now.
The beds were extremely comfortable. The pillows were so soft, too. I would go back just for the beds. The staff were also very very friendly! There wasn't anything I didn't like. It was very nice, honestly. :)
We were in town to watch the Cardinals play the Royals - so the hotel was in a perfect location! Staff were very helpful upon check-in. Bartender and wait staff at the restaurant/bar were fun and helpful. We enjoyed sitting at the bar talking to them. We loved the balcony in our room. Enjoyed the no smoking aspect of the hotel. Beds and pillows were too soft. The shower did not drain correctly so in the shower you had to stand in dirty water. Room AC was not very cold.
The access to highway and eatery's The beds were to small the sink leaked and toilet took a long time to flush the lower level is were the put us and it felt like it. The security door to parking lot was broken. I told a staff and they said they have been working on it for a couple of weeks now. That really concerned me anyone could just walk in with no security surveillance.

Overall a very nice place to stay. after checking in and getting to our room we discovered the a/c was leaking water and the corner of the rooms carpet was wet. We called the front desk at 3pm had to leave at 5:30 with no response. Got back to the hotel around 10:30pm still had nothing done about the a/c. went to the front desk and they had to move us to another room. The front desk employee said the would refund half of our cost for the room but that did not happen.
Location across the street from the ballpark was great. Could have used a bit more counter space or a luggage rack.

After a bad storm and no power there were 350 people all trying to check in at 4 pm. The Staff was amazing in the service they provided to many irate guest. Michelle and staff did an amazing job during a stressful time. The Hotel as a whole needs to be torn down and re built. The rooms were extremely outdated, mold on the ceiling tiles in the room, no hot water, bugs in the blinds, NO air conditioning at all, very poor over all quality for spending $250 for one night because of a concert being in town.
The hotel was great. The staff was pleasant and eager to please. When we arrived, there was no record of our reservation. If I hadn't brought along my printed receipt I don't know that we would have gotten a room at all. Not the best start to our stay, but after the issue was resolved we truly enjoyed ourselves.
The hotel appearance upon arrival was nice and clean. The gentlemen there when we arrived was kind and helpful. The beds were the WORST! As were the pillows. Was supposed to have a microwave but didn't. The rooms were so warm - even with the air down to 60. Indoor pool door was jammed shut so we couldn't swim. However, the man at the counter gave us tickets to the water park - which was okay but super warm and heavy - but suppose it's supposed to be? Had to get ice from the market because the 2 floors I was sent to to get ice, the machines weren't working. A few more petty things.. Not a fan of the hotel :(

The madatory inconvenient valet parking that was not disclosed until I physically pulled in. Totally my trip not worth whIle for the get away I planned. The renovation made hotel stay beyond unpleasant and unconfortable. The upchage for absolutely everything considering what wasn't available due to renovating was undesirable. I would not come back there again for these reasons and will definitely share my experience to my friends and business travalers. I think anyone staying there during this "renovation" should be compensated in someway for the checking into that. I'm sure they also were not told the condition of the establishment and was as surprised as I was at arrival and check in.
The hotel was really clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. That I had to pay to get my car parked. I couldn't park it myself. When I tried to get my car from the valet I had to wait 45 min to an hour before I got my car brought out. Need better parking and valet service.
Love this hotel for many reasons - great rooms (recently updated), coffee shop on lobby level, good service. Great concierge lounge too! I didn't realize until this visit that there is a restaurant on the second floor - it's fairly hidden and I don't recall the front desk telling me about it.

Was asked for my room key as proof that I was staying in at the hotel. Was later informed by an employee that the individual that asked for proof that I was staying at the hotel did not ask the Caucasian individuals who were staying at the hotel. Will never go back.
Being unfamilar with the area, I opted for the valet parking for our stay. When I ventured out from the hotel to the Country Club Plaza area 1.5 blocks away, I found a large free parking garage! Won't make that mistake again if I ever go back there.

We had a great weekend at Hotel Sorella! All of the staff was great! Especially enjoyed the staff at breakfast. Simone was over the top friendly! We had a group of international students in attendance with us and she made them all feel right at home.

Oh my goodness! From the moment we stepped out of the car and walked through the beautiful secluded garden patio, to the moment we stepped in the door and were greeted and invited to enjoy free margaritas - the staff did everything to ensure our stay was wonderful. Upgraded room for free- plus we returned from dinner to find a bottle of champagne chilling with a note from the staff wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Wonderful breakfast- close walking distance to the Art Museum and The Plaza. We will be coming back here again!
Great hotel The Staff there was really helpful, great location to go to the Plaza, or Westport 10 minutes walking time they have a shuttle if you are not into walking, or even the metro bus is right outside take you straight to power and light, or plaza. The rooms were very clean as well relaxing, and everything you needed was there. place is very secure at nights. oh the room the breakfast was awesome Blueberry waffles, among all your other stuff for breakfast! I will defiantly stay there again recommend as well to ever need a room for the night in K.C. Props to the girl who works at nights help me unlock my rooms restroom door that locked by itself. The rooms restroom doors have locks, that can lock you out? but the staff got it unlock quickly.

Fast check-in. Very clean room, beds were comfortable. Good price for one night stay. Had to call twice for the shuttle to pick us up at the airport. It took about 45 minutes. Being remodeled so the restaurant looked like a temorary set up with a some square bare tables and an electric food server on the counter. The "bar" was a ledge near the lobby with 2 beer taps and not a soul in site. Places to eat were about 5 miles down the highway.
It was very close to point of interest. It also had a great bathroom! The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The room was a smaller than I expected.
Front desk gave us all vouchers for free cover to get into the Power and Light district (worth $10 each) and vouchers for free cover for two of the bars within it. No refrigerator or microwave in room. Expensive parking.
The staff was friendly and helpful. They were always available and were sincere and helpful. The whole hotel is in poor repair - from fading and chipped paint and rotten trim on the outside, to worn carpets, musty halls and rooms, and damaged walls in our bedroom. The room we stayed in was damp and musty smelling, and the walls were damaged (sheetrock issues that had been poorly repaired). On top of this, the room wasn't very clean - lots of noticeable dust build up in the corners and on some furniture. The furniture was also chipped, had visible cracks, and was from the 1980's. I wasn't expecting the Ritz or for the styles to even be from this decade, but I did expect everything to be in good repair and acceptable and presentable working condition. If you read other reviews, you'll notice the trend of poor cleaning, musty/moldy smells, and poor repair.
Housekeeping needs to be trained how to clean a room. Hair in the bathtub on our arrival, no working alarm clock, and the chair by the bed felt like you were going to fall thru. The bath towns are like sand paper, so be careful. Continental breakfast was a let down. Overall, we probably wouldnt stay here again. To much money for what you get. Staff was very nice though.
Clean - very close to the airport - friendly staff - affordable. Generally when looking for a short overnight stay at an affordable price it's hard to find a place that you really feel comfortable staying at. Cleanliness was my main concern, it met my standards.

The room was disgusting. The entire hotel had all different kinds of smells, and not good ones. Found all kinds of different small hairs on the linens and towels. I originally booked the room for 3 nights, I left after the first night and booked a different hotel. I have never had a problem with Days Inn before, but this was one of the worst ones I have ever stayed in.
The location was good, close by the airport. Beds were clean and somewhat confortable. Ok, for one night. There was mold under the toliet seat in the bathroom and hallways were rather noisy. The staff was ok, but when we checked out in the morning, no one was there. Only the person who sets breakfast out was there and didn't speak very good English.

Price was the main factor in our decision to stay here. The facilities were fine, the atmosphere was fine (other than the real crowded, tiny breakfast area with cold biscuits and a sticky floor!). I would probably still stay again, simply because of the price. The breakfast area was too small for the number of people trying to get breakfast. Everyone had to wait a long time to use the one waffle maker, the floor was sticky, and the orange juice tasted a little sour. Certainly not a 'make or break' issue, though.
The room was very nice beds were pretty comfortable although there was some bugs in the room roaches The front desk staff seemed annoyed with business travelers needing fax and tax print ours for record keeping. There was no friendly greeting you definitely knew you were supposed to quietly go to your room and not expect friendly hospitality
The location was important since we had an early morning flight & wanted to be close to the airport. The bed was comfortable, and that was nice! Check in was backed up and took a long time.
Best of all was the host, who did everything she could to make us feel welcome. She was so kind and resourceful! The hotel was easy to find and felt very comfortable to stay in. The room was very nice, the beds were large and comfortable. It had sufficient ammenities for our needs. I loved the fitness room also, especially the tv in each machine. I also enjoyed the coffee bar. The shower seemed weak.

The room was very clean and spacious. I wish they had a soda machine instead of the snack bar at the front where soda was almost $3.00. I felt the breakfast was wonderful. A great place to stay for the weekend. I want to stay at other Hyatt hotels like this again.
The hotels was great. It was a perfect size and the staff got to know me and were very friendly. I was surprised at how good the food was here. The breakfast was a large buffett which had some rotating egg dishes. The food you could order was good too, better than expected and the prices were reasonable. Definitely check out the happy hour when you go. I used the fitness center one day too and loved it. More than what I expected from a hotel this size. I would definitely consider a Hyatt Place next time I travel. The only thing I didn't like was the PPV movies in the room were terribly expensive. It was around $18.00 to rent a movie. Are you kidding me?

Rooms were small but the beds comfortable! Food at restaurant was average. Check in was quick and easy! Attempted to order room service at 9am from our room- the hotel phone was not working so I called via my personal cell and spoke with AJ at the front desk. He said he would send someone to fix the phone but told me there was no room svc on Sundays- which is not true. He then proceeded to hang up on me. My friend and I had to physically go down to the front desk (were still in pj's, mind you) and spoke directly to the manager, who happened to be Aj who previously hung up on me! After he told us the restaurant is "right there" pointing to the restaurant, he finally gave me the phone to call room service. Unbelievable customer service. I've never been treated like that in my life. Especially at a "nice hotel." Aj must have had a change of heart and apologized for his actions 2 hrs later when we checked out and compensated our breakfast but I will never ever pay to stay at a Sheraton again. It was supposed to be a fun girls weekend and this is what we're talking about. I just hope other guests don't have to experience any of this.

The hotel is very near the airport and the shuttle ride is quick. A major draw is the 10 day free parking. The hotel looked like it was being remodeled but our room (we stayed twice) were comfortable. The restaurant was terrible. Also the business center is joke. While the computer is nice it is placed five feet from a big screen TV. It gave me a headache to print out my boarding pass.
Wee arrived late and left early. Everyone was curious and efficient. Nothing. It was great.

Hotel was very close to the airport which made it easy to get to my flight. Hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Room had mini fridge, good size tv and nice bathroom. Room AC wasn't working. When I contacted the front desk they sent maintenance quickly. Tech said AC was working, but couldn't keep up with the heat from the day. Front desk staff said the room would cool off eventually, but the hotel was full and they could not move us to another room. When I went down to the front desk to ask for a manager, they said a supervisor wouldn't be available until Monday (two days later), and that they would not be able to offer any room discount. Surprisingly, they were able to find an empty room for us which did have a working air conditioner. Very disappointed with the lack of customer concern from the front desk staff. Pillows were too soft for my liking. Hotel has a restaurant but for the rate, does not offer a continental breakfast for the guests

We enjoyed the king size bed that had a very comfortable mattress and bedding. Our TV had a variety of channels including HBO and Showtime. Also, the black out curtains were perfect for sleeping in. We received a questionnaire in advance of our stay that included room preferences. We requested a high level room with a king size bed. Upon arrival, we received a room on the first floor with two full size beds. We then asked the attendant if our initial request could be met and as it turns out there was a room available that met our needs. She did not express concern for the unmet request or issue an apology. Our room was only cleaned once during our three night stay. We had to requested additional towels because ours were not replenished daily. We were going to have breakfast in bed but the room service line was busy for an hour. We tried the front desk and restaurant as well. All lines were busy.
Some staff was nice and pleasant. The restaurant food was average but not bad. Bed was comfortable and we used the small gym. Some machines were not working 100% but you could still use them. Also the pool was nice So the small detail was that there are many Four Points and we wanted the one by the stadium not the one by the airport. Huge difference. No one could help us with this and we wound up paying for two hotels for the weekend. It's pretty isolated so you need a car or taxi to get a good meal away from the airport. The hotel actually drove us to a local restaurant and said they could brng us back, but when we called they said they couldn't do it after all. If you want a place near the airport it's fine. A lot of pilots and stewards were staying there.
I really liked the front desk staff. They were very understandable and eager to help with all of my needs. I disliked the fact that my card info was taken for incidentals and my card was charged 60% of the actual overall room payment. I have never noticed that before but it was definitely an extreme negative mark when I saw that on my acct info. Yes I was told it would take 3 to 4 days for it to be placed back onto my account but it was still a big shock.
I like the location and proximity to the airport. The staff and customer service was absolutely terrible. From the time I checked in, the man at the front desk was rude to me. I left my car there for 10 days and was charged for it but when I came to pick the car up there was no record that my car was even there.
The hotel has serious potential to be beautiful if someone would take care of it. Hotels.com went above and beyond to make sure that our negative experience didn't ruin our road trip. The manager was beyond rude; he swore when speaking to me on the phone and pretended a manager was unavailable when he later told me he was standing there the whole time. All I wanted to do was make sure he wouldn't charge me for the nights that I wasn't staying. The hotel was dirty, visible crud and wrappers on the floors and walls of the hallways and our room, and the very strong smell of cigarette smoke and mildew. The carpet in our room was wavy from water damage and the beds were as hard as boards. There was no mini-fridge or microwave in the room. Two out of three elevators weren't working, the pool and hot tub were closed and so was the restaurant they were supposed to have. I just can't get over how rude the manager was or that he would lie to customers. Hotels.com did everything right though.
The room included a sleep number bed, which they didnt tell us. It wasn't actually working or plugged in, so we just thought the mattress was rock hard. When we asked for a different room, we were told they would fix the bed. After a day out, we came back to find the bed still unplugged and rock hard. The pool heater was broken and the hot tub had not been cleaned. Two people were actually smoking inside the hallway of the building. When we complained a second time that it was not fixed, we were yelled at by the building manager. We chose to go elsewhere for our third night. I've never had such poor customer service in my entire life. I would avoid this hotel even if the room were free.
They have the option for early check in. The staff was friendly. The room had water damage. The hot tub wasn't working. The TV channel selection sucked. The breakfast was mediocre. The whole place was kinda run down. Not worth the money we paid.
Location Hotel smell terrible, it could be health hazard. The room was in professional clean. First room I have the bed sheet had spots on, it was too nasty to sleep on. The receptionist was will to chant us new room. Second room the trash was not empty, smell of old wet paint was so strong, the tv was the old version unlike the picture they shown and the remote wasn't working. Even though we didn't pay much to stay but this is not even worth to stay. The breakfast was unsanitary, I was afraid to eat anything from there. Stay away if you don't want to get sick.
The lobby was nice. It had a really cool courtyard with potential, but basically it was left to rot by the owners. The front desk guy had a lot of patience, but it appears he had a lot of practice. They had a hot tub that worked, and my kids swam in that because the pool was liquid ice (see below). My room was ckean and well organized. The swimming pool was cold, i know what the last feelings of the titanic victims were cold. The restaurant in the hotel was decent, but expensive for what it was. My food sat out under a heat lamp forever, and the shrimp put on it were possibly edible, but I didnt take the chance.
Cost efficient, I mean overall it completely served the purpose Light bulb out in the room, closet door was broken, toilet was loose, seemed kind of outdated there's definitely a smell going on that isn't natural. The door to the outside does not lock at all
We got there at midnight. The staff doesn't care about you personally as a customer. The room we received was dirty and smelled of smoke. This was at Midnight!!!! We went back to the desk, got another room. It was ok. Except 30 minutes later another couple was trying to get into our room. That room was double booked. The girl at the front desk did not seem to care about anything. We could not get a receipt for the first of a two night stay. I cancelled the second night the next morning. I was not going to stay there. If we left our car, I would have to pay $5 to park my car. There is no valet service. It is a hotel parking lot. Would NEVER stay here again!
