10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building in a wonderful setting in the heart of Rouen.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location. A building with real character, but was very modern internally.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Atmosphere in this beautiful hotel, the incredibly fine swimming pool, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, very nice room (in fact a suite, though we had no choice; see negatiive remarks)
Cons: We had 6 months in advance asked for a room with bathtub, and surprisingly enough, we could not get one, unless we paid for a suite, which cost 60 euro more per night. We never got an e-mail in those six months in advance that told us about those conditions. Not very nice! And why is a suite necessary to have a bathtub, however beautiful this suite even was.....
9.5 Excellent
Pros: perfect location, welcoming and friendly staff, beautifully decorated, fantastic pool and fabulous rooms.
Cons: Hotels (all that I visited) need to revisit their electric car charging facilities - it's going to be in more and more demand and Hotels that offer a superior charging experience will win additional business.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was very good but I wish the rooms would have been cleaner.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Swimming pool, courtyard, bar area, location
Cons: Rooms rather small
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location in mid of town, beautiful rooms and hotel. Great breakfast.
Cons: Bit difficult to reach by car, advise to park in parking garage next to hotel. Gangways towards rooms are a bit damp
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent everything on your doorstep
Cons: Hard to locate by car but well worth it upon arrival
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location superb, building extraordinary, staff so helpful , delightful decor in bar , awesome pool
Cons: Room very small with limited powerpoints, very noisy air con with an extra high pitched rattle which disturbed our sleep & shower didn’t function properly

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality Location
Cons: No lift, Very narrow and uncomfortable bathtub
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms, friendly staff, central location and good restaurant downstairs. Typical French breakfast of hot drinks and croissants. Perfect for exploring Rouen.
Cons: A bit difficult to find Hôtel only due to poor GPS on rental car. No elevator and stairs are narrow- this was not a fault but just a note to be aware for disabled travelers or those carrying heavy luggage
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The upper floor room offered a glimpse of the Cathedral. It was quiet at night, it has an excellent location and friendly staff, we enjoyed our stay!
Cons: Maybe a bit outdated for a longer stay, but great for one night. A late checkin time would be good too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect! Easy walking to shopping, dining and local attractions!
Cons: The stairs are narrow and steep.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location is very good. 5 minutes walk to Cathedral.
Cons: It was 106F. There is no AC, no fan. Have to leave the windows open to get some air. Therefore, there is no privacy. Also 6:00 in the morning, there are garbage trucks making a lot of noises.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Small hotel in the centre of the old part of town so we felt close to the action, which included a son et lumiere show on the nearby cathedral - fantastic. The staff were really helpful and knowledgable.
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location smack in the centre of old Rouen. Restaurant below closes early so it is relatively quiet at night.
Cons: Very small basic room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, wonderfull view, very clean and nice room, historical building with climate, helpfull staff.
Cons: Plastic cups for tea/coffee were not durable and contact with hot water caused their damage. It would be nice to have more solid cups ...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, very central
Cons: Spiral stairs were not so good for big suitcases
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect, 5 min walk to all major landmarks, windows are facing Palace of Justice, a beautiful building! Breakfast was nice.
Cons: Thin walls, could hear every sound inside the hotel.
5.7 Okay
Pros: Very very good location. I studied there and I know what a good location in Rouen is. From our room we had a view to Palace Justice. 10 minute walk from train station and walking distance to any sightseeing in Rouen. Room was nice and clean. I will definitely stay there again and would recommend to others with limited budget.
Cons: No elevators. Reception desk doesn’t works 7/24, though it was not a problem for us.
5.3 Okay
Pros: The location is fantastic - right in the middle of the historic city centre and opposite the stunning Court of Justice, one of the most beautiful late medieval structures anywhere. The hotel building, from the same period, is quaint and charming. As things go in France, the breakfast was above average.
Cons: The wifi did not work properly (save in the staircase, not the most convenient of options...) and the room furniture was very flimsy indeed and certainly not 'design', as rather boldly stated. No staff on location on a Sunday night - all I got was a room key, in sharp contrast with the services mentioned on the web.
6.3 Good
Pros: Very well placed in the center of the old town, behind Palace de Justice, a short walk from Cathedral and metro stop. Clean modern room in a nice old building. Very good price.
Cons: Rooms at second, third and fourth floor without elevator and narrow staircase. Good only for people travelling light. No reception when the bar below is closed. No WiFi in my room even if a router was in the corridor, but good in the bar. Some small maintenance problems

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and ambience
Cons: Lack of air conditioning in the room and the queue for the coffee machine at breakfast
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely helpful and kind.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The ambiance, location, and friendliness of the staff
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was excellent! When we arrived the receptionist was very helpful
Cons: Room was small and needed more ventilation. Staff on check out had previously made a mistake with our bill and were not at all apologetic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Simply the best hotel we have ever stayed.
Cons: Nothing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was quaint and historic looking. The hotel was surrounded by the cutest outdoor restaurants and local businesses. The breakfast was very good.
Cons: It was different not to have any air condition. They did provide a fan though.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast. We were unaware of the Literary context when we booked but were amazed by the attention to detail and the availability of the most interesting books for sale and the audio books which I had been looking for for some time.
Cons: It was so good that we did not even consider what might have been improved. Since we will be returning, we will consider that question then.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful. The hotel was clean, beds were soft, breakfast was very good.
Cons: We rented a car and the roads were a little tricky. But that’s not the hotels fault it’s a very old city not meant for cars.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location
Cons: No aircondition in the rooms. Towel n the bathroom was dirty. Room was small
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable rooms. Convenient location in the center of town. Outstanding breakfast.
Cons: Indoor parking garage is a super tight squeeze. We were given a parking spot that was nearly impossible to access with our SUV. Upon complaining, we were offered an alternate outdoor parking spot outside the hotel entrance. There were only 3-4 spots available in total, so we felt quite fortunate and relieved for this accommodation.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Love the literary concept. Nice touch with the welcome water bottle and sweets.
Cons: My negatives are mostly personal preference and even with them, I’d stay at this hotel again. The mattress was too soft for me personally and the pillows were too thick. Also, with Europe going into global warming like the rest of the planet, it’s time to get AC installed. Finally, this is a general gripe with all dog friendly hotels that charge a dog fee — if you’re dog friendly, then be dog friendly! Don’t charge a per night fee just to make extra money.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quirky decoration, fab facilities and perfect location easy to get to from main roads and parking outside!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just a few steps from the old town. There was no problem with parking - at night we left the car on the street next to the place, and next morning we drove to nearby free parking. The apartment is very nice, with a lot of beautifull details :) The only problem was to get in (I received email with the instructiones while we were already in the plane, so we were suprised there was nobody when we arrived).
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Too long password for wi-fi.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice very qurky place in a good location. Good facilities and quite comfortable.
Cons: The breakfast was a little basic.
5.8 Okay
Pros: It was in a quiet and very central location.
Cons: The floor, carpets, rugs and bathroom floors were clearly dirty. I did not care very much for the plastic cover on the bed.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Claire is a wonderful host. The house is pleasantly designed and has all the needed amenities and even more, you feel like at home. Thanks for the delicious espresso and pain au chocolat for our breakfast. The location is 30 minutes on foot from the central station and same from Flixbus/Ouibus stop. You can reach the Cathedral in 15-20 min on foot.
Cons: The only thing we did not like is the oilcloth under the bed linen on the bed upstairs. Maybe good for small children but not for the double bed for a couple.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Super comfortable. Everything was there including very fresh bread and a bottle of milk prepared for us! And also the owner kindly prepared for all the seasoning/oil etc for our cooking. It was easy to get to centre of the town by foot even with small children. It costs a bit if you would park the car in front of the building until 7pm, but there is also free parking at 2min walk.
Cons: Nothing. If I had to say one thing, water drain on ground floor shower room was not good. However it was not the problem as there is another shower room on 1st floor as well.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location and wonderful and helpful host
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We were satisfied.
5.8 Okay
Pros: -
Cons: The apartment is not clean.
Ermitage Bouquet - Rouen - Building
5
8.7 Excellent (140 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was good.
Cons: Needs air conditioning
6.3 Good
Cons: Difficulty in parking the car.no aircon
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great spacious studio apartment. We have 3 children, one of the double beds was enormous so we all had a comfortable sleep. Excellent location for walking into and around Rouen.
Cons: Roadworks meant we had to park at the train station, which was a little bit of a faff but not a deal breaker.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was clean and Phillipe welcomed us with lots of information about Rouen activities that we really enjoyed. It was small but nicely decorated especially the kitchen.
Cons: The bed was uncomfortable and it is a walk uphill from the train station
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location with the bonus of private and secure parking. Well equipped studio.
Cons: Bedside tables would have been nice but there was not enough room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful 2 nights stay at Ermitage bouquet in the end of May. The room was very specious and beautifully decorated. We were met by the hostess, she showed us the room and explained about the check-out. Ermitage is within a walking distance to the beautiful historical part of the city, also very close to the train station, where we found one of the best patisseries and enjoyed our breakfast there. Would definitely come again.
Cons: Would be nice to have some lights in the drive through corridor to the parking place. It was okey during the day, but very dark in the evening.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The size of the room was okay, better than expected. Phillipe takes time to talk with you, he really wants to tell about Rouen. Good coffee on the room and very big towles in the shower. Philippe really is a good host! Thank you Philippe!
Cons: It's not a big problem, but we've booked this place for parking at the facility. After booking and confirmation was the story that parking at this time was not possible because the main road is under construction. Philippe however arranged free parking at the station, a 3-4 minute walk from the facility, that was great! A temporarily problem, but still it would have been better if we knew this from the start.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It's not a hotel room, it's a studio with kitchen and a bathroom. Our host Philippe welcomed us very friendly, he gave us a virtual guide through the city, pointing the interesting places on the map. The car was parked behind the building; very safe. We only stayed 2 nights, we could have stayed longer.
Cons: Walking back from the city is a bit of a climb, we're Dutch, not used to climbing. But there's a bus driving through the street, so you don't have to climb if you don't want to.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Careful about the room but some are still in an old and enjoyable style. Others are more modern and better equipped but less charming. The staff was really nice and it is easy to check in overall.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to the Train station, bouloangerie and supermarket. Olivier (host) communicated well and was there to greet us on arrival. The property is 10 minute from the center and via a lovely park which was our pitstop whilst the kids enjoyed themselves on the climbing frames.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and all staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: Only thing that could have improved our stay is to add the/coffee facilities in the rooms.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good location and lovely room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything you expect from a good budget hotel. Clean, friendly staff, comfy beds and decent breakfast
Cons: Can’t think of anything
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room, shower room and bed were very good. I wasn't disturbed at all - it was very quiet. Air conditioning was effective. Breakfast was varied, plentiful and good value for money. If you want a cooked breakfast, though, you may be disappointed as there is only the option of boiled egg or toast. I liked the fact that the hotel had a public access pc as I didn't have a smart phone. When it crashed on one occasion, the staff member took me over to the next door Mercure Hotel and asked if I could use theirs. This and other members of staff were very helpful. I could buy a late night drink of tea or other drinks during the day from the bar as well as a quick lasagna snack on one occasion when I didn't want to dine out.
Cons: I did know this in advance but still chose to stay there as it was the best option for me. It is a bit of a walk to other restaurants and is a bit of a trek to transport options -maybe not if you are young, strong and not carrying a rucksack on your back! You can eat next door at the Mercure restaurant which I did on one occasion and although it was pricey, it was delicious. You can walk to the cathedral and centre of the old town which is fine most of the time but if you are tired, you need to walk a few minutes to a neighbouring square and get one or two buses/metro. (I chose to get a taxi to and from the train station with my luggage although you can get there by metro/buses if you manage to get information in advance. The taxi fare is between 8 and 15 Euros depending on the traffic. To use a card, you need to pay a minimum of 15 Euros and not all taxis have the facilities for this.)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Well located with secure parking. A short walk to the old town, really helpful receptionist who advised us on the best areas to eat etc. Very comfortable bed, nice and clean.
Cons: Shame there is not tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast and location were great the room was comfortable.
Cons: The checkout was poor . The gentleman wanted to recharge although I showed him the bill he messed around for ages then didn’t give us parking ticket to depart . The lady who checked us in was great and very helpful.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent secure parking, short walk into town for a wide choice of restaurants
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great Location, Parking, Good Price. All in all very good.

Pros: Breakfast was good and varied selection
Cons: No evening meals on weekends. This is a business hotel and this should be shown more prominently on site. Spent a very sleepless night due to hot weather. No airconditioning in hotel and no offer of a fan. Weather was forecast.
9.5 Excellent

5.8 Okay

Cons: The restaurant was closed on the Friday evening which seemed strange and inconvenient.

Pros: Bit run down Ok for what I paid Wouldn't return
Cons: As above
4.5 Okay
Pros: It was clean although it had a duvet with no sheet which was far too hot so ended up putting just a towel over us. Wouldn’t stay again.
Cons: I booked a superior room on that basis I would have hated to stay in the standard room!! Bathroom so small you could have sat on the toilet had a shower and washed your teeth at the same time. It was unusually hot and with no air conditioning we wanted to open windows one of which had no handle so couldn’t open. We booked parking which was a garage but wasn’t told that at 8 the gates closed therefore we couldn’t get anything out of our car after that which included water and there was no one around to ask!! Location- it was a long way from town centre a lot uphill on the return which isn’t any good for anyone older!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, staff friendly good location. Park at the train station for a 5 min walk

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is close to the station and also to the old city. Kind and polite staff. Breakfast is good. There is something pleasant in the hotel - I felt good in it.
Cons: The small lamps which are mounted on both side of bed became very hot even after a short use. If you touch them, even after switching them off, you will burn yourself, which happened to me.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, good car park , nice courtyard pleasant room. We will come again
Cons: No advance warning that the roads in the area were being dug up and we had to access the hotel the wrong way down a one way street

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and very comfortable. However, even if we did turn the AC off we could here a loud sound all night long... Very boring...
Cons: The dinner and breakfast at the hotel weren't very pleasant. The dinner was very basic and the desert buffet wasn't as good as it looked. Everything seemed frozen or was dry... The service was bad, they didn't even remove our plate for us to eat the desert! The breakfast wasn't better, the pastries were still raw inside and the pancake half frozen... Don't bother eating there, go in the city it will be better.

D-House Rouen - Rouen - Building
10
9.0 Excellent (13 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Rouen (Rouen City Centre), this apartment is within a 5-minute walk of Rouen Cathedral and Church of Saint-Maclou. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access and multilingual staff. Limited parking is available onsite.
7.5 Good
Pros: Communication was good despite the owner being abroad. The location is perfect, right in the centre of this stunning city, in between two cathedrals.
Cons: The first photo on booking.com is misleading; it led me to think there was a sofa bed in the living room as well. The check-in process happened a bit in a hurry. There was quite a narrow timeframe (which is hard to estimate when you're on holiday) and we were a bit late because parking turned out to be a bit difficult with all the one-way streets. You have to supply a credit card and sign a form, in case you damage anything or didn't clean the apartment properly. Because of the hurry I didn't really know what I signed and what amount we were talking about to be reserved, so later on I felt quite bad about that cause it felt somewhat shady. It turned out to be fine though. I had already read in reviews that you have to clean the apartment yourself when you leave. There is a lack of instructions on this however, it was all quite vague to me.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely decor and fab location
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was great The apartment was absolutely gorgeous The bathroom was a good size and super clean The host was very accommodating in meeting us to gain entry to the apartment and in our check out time which we really appreciated.
Cons: For the price of the apartment at £145 for one night we didn't expect to have to make up our own bed with sheets and covers and then be told to make sure we stripped it before leaving and clean up. Shower gel, shampoo or even just soap in the bathroom would have been useful - as it was an apartment we were expecting it to have everything we needed for a quick stay. There was a fabulous coffee machine in the kitchen but no coffee or any basics that you'd expect for the price really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant position in Rouen eclectic lovely apartment v comfortable and quit at night surprisingly. Great welcome from the owners brother,
Cons: Nothing all good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very close to all the sites that we wanted to see

Cons: I don't think I can think of anything that I didn't like. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Rouen and would highly recommend it.

Pros: All aspects of the hotel were excellent. Location, room, staff and breakfast. They also subsidised the parking (which was located just minutes away. Will definitely use the hotel again.
Cons: Nothing!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location. Old building of the hotel. Breakfast is the best!
Cons: My room was quite small. Parking is not free. I was charged by hotel 7€/night.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location to museums, cathedrals, parks, shopping, grocery store and eateries. Short walk to the main train station. Quaint courtyard with the half timber style.
Cons: Breakfast was pricey for what you get. Can do better at one of the many nearby cafes or bakeries.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old quirky hotel although stairs were hard and no lift. Intimate courtyard atmosphere -a lovely place to have a coffee or drink. And such a convenient central position in the old town. Much enjoyed our stay. First class breakfast.
Cons: The stairs! Room on the small side.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Manager very friendly and helpful. The courtyard and the entire property just oozes charm! It is very central on a mostly pedestrian street. Good neighborhood and location.
Cons: No air conditioning. Toilet paper in sheets, not rolls.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Centrality. Homeliness. Welcoming
Cons: Nothing

7.0 Good
Pros: Comfy beds
Cons: Parking was a long way from hotel as hotel parking was fully
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Large room - good layout. Very comfortable for a stop over.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good size room, good breakfast & they locked our bikes away for us.
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great to have a family room with a dividing screen
Cons: Air conditioning was ineffective and the busy road meant we couldn’t open the window to cool the room without being kept awake
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lots of room. Quiet location Great breakfast.
Cons: Had to park outside as parking was full.
7.4 Good
Pros: It was right for 4 adults but generally acceptablr
Cons: There are openings in the swinging doors to the shower area that created a problem with privacy. We had two teenage girls and two men.
6.3 Good
Pros: Great breakfast, good to have a microwave, fridge and kettle in the room. Parking was convenient in the basement.
Cons: There was a small and damp smelling pod bathroom with a sink that didn’t drain properly. There was only a small window which overlooked an unkept messy overgrown courtyard. On arrival it’s tricky to find the reception area and we had to drive around the building complex a few times.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very fresh, modern and clean. Smiley helpful reception. Clean, modern rooms, great for families. Set up like an IKEA showroom. Quite quirky. Very good value.
Cons: The underground parking is very very tight. No air con.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location , easy in and out, perfect stop over for journey further south
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and family rooms
Cons: Rooms are stiflingly hot and nearly impossible to sleep in even though it was cool outside. The AC doesn’t work at all. We’ve stayed here before and it was the same so not just a one off. The pillow was also awful, like a sack of cotton wool balls!
3.1 Mediocre
Pros: Very little. This is only slightly above IBIS in quality and had several of the same design items in the rooms as IBIS Budget.
Cons: The profile says "parking" - in reality the hotel only has 20 spaces, and those are almost always full we were told. The counter staff told us and the next three customers who showed up while we were checking in "find your own space on the street" -- which in Rouen is both very hard, and far to likely to have your morning start with a new dent in the car. The room we were given was 1/2 the size of the photo. Really amazing how it looked sort of the same layout...but was so cramped we couldn't move around. The bed's weren't the same size as in the profile. When we showed the counter manager the photo and description differences with the promised room and the reality, the response was "I don't write what is on the websites, so can't help you." Very much a vacation fail.

8.1 Excellent (88 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Chambres d'Hôtes Les Carmes, you'll be centrally located in Rouen, within a 5-minute walk of Rouen Cathedral and Saint-Ouen Church. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
4.3 Okay
Cons: Room was bare bones and not in the hotel itself. Only French language programs on the TV.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our motto is stay very central and this did not disappoint. Parking could have been hit and miss but worked out ok for us. One of the few places you can get an earlier breakfast with a smile
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice and decent owner.
Cons: Photos made it look new. It was very very tired.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We missed our train but were still politely met at 1 in the morning. Helpful information was left in the room in english.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: a beautiful and simple place, well equiped
5.8 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was really good. The room was very weathered and needs some TLC. Location was very good.
Cons: The unit felt dirty and made it uncomfortable. The WIFI was not very good.
5.0 Okay
Pros: location was good
Cons: Reviews had said parking was difficult but that was an understatement. The directions to find the parking were a nightmare. The managers office was at a separate location from the address to the rooms which was confusing. The office furniture was threadbare and the room felt cluttered and dirty. We declined to stay for breakfast. Our room was up a flight of stairs that were musty. The room itself was sparse but clean. No restaurants were open when we got there. We couldn't wait to leave.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very secure parking which was excellent as we had two bikes on the back of the car. Great location and the staff were very helpful.
Cons: In general the hotel and room could do with upgrading and looked a little tired. The bathroom was good. We stayed in an annex across the street from the hotel which was a surprise.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Additional charge for a child, also a room was booked for 3 persons incl. child;
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The apartment was great - just as described. But not so close for an easy walk from the train station. There and hills and cobble stones and lots of construction everywhere.
Cons: The owner recommended we walk to the next main street to get a taxi or to call and it would show up. We called and were down stairs right on time. No taxi - second call resulted in No Taxi. By then we were almost going to miss the train. 3rd call the taxi company just said - “we are busy , we have no taxis”. We took off with bags and all for the 18 minute fast walk to the station. Very stressful. Got there 2 minutes before the train departure. Just bad recommendations. There should be something better.
Alive Hotel de Quebec - Rouen - Building

7.9 Good (902 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Alive Hotel de Quebec is in the heart of Rouen, within a 10-minute walk of Church of Saint-Maclou and Rouen Cathedral. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendful and helpful owner, lovely breakfast, impressive newly refurbished and modern room, spacious and comfy.
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The manager of the hotel was very polite, helpful and friendly. We came to the hotel after check-in time and they stay for us to get us into the hotel.
Cons: The smell in the hall was not good. But there wasn’t any unpleasant smell in the room. I think the price is slightly overstated for such hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This small hotel feels a little cramped when you enter, but then, it is only a first impression. The family room for four was spacious and modern, in what looked like a recently refurbished annex, and the hotel's location is quite good, within walking distance from the river and from the city center (about 5 minutes to the impressive cathedral). There is very good speed WiFi and onsite parking (not covered but closed). Breakfast was included and good quality. The lady who welcomed us was really nice.
Cons: One little note of caution for disabled travellers or those with bulky luggage: there seems to be no elevator. The hotel was a little expensive, but considering we were four, and it was the weekend of the National Day, it was probably not bad at all.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location & friendly staff
Cons: Parking was ‘tight’ but locals seem to be able to handle it well.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, great location and very helpful in providing the little things we had forgotten.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: They have refurbished rooms which are only a little extra and well worth the additional cost.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location- superb staff. The parking was very good - on site and not too expensive. Make sure you reserve a space. The family room was modern and really well set up. Thank you Hotel Quebec!
Cons: The room was warm there was no air conditioning and the central location meant that the windows open was a little noisy. This would be fine but - They provided a duvet but no sheet so it was very warm. Also there was only one pillow per person which wasn’t ideal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: located literally minutes away from restaurants, bars, Notre-Dame cathedral, the river - perfect! staff were so friendly and helpful, recommended a wonderful restaurant nearby for dinner, gave us the option to upgrade our room (for 12 euros!) but were not pushy at all. just completely exceeded our expectations.
Cons: nothing!
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location. Friendly staff. Clean. Comfortable and modern room. Tea making facilities.
Cons: O air con or fan.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and very clean . Just been refurbished. Staff very accommodating and spoke English. Would stay at this place again

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quite village location, close to Rouen. Friendly staff, lots of parking space. Nice food.
Cons: Poor Wi-Fi

Pros: The hotel was lovely and clean and the food superb, worthy of a good London restaurant! Great location, pretty and quiet but with easy access to Rouen.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food, exceptional
Cons: nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very warm welcome
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very pleasant stay in a light, spacious bedroom with a balcony, overlooking the garden. Beds were very comfortable and the bath/shower room had been recently modernised. It is in a quiet area with plenty of off-road parking. The dinners were excellent in a light spacious dining room. Breakfast was in an adjacent room with a very good selection of items. Staff were very pleasant, efficient and helpful. We would recommend this hotel.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist was lovely
Cons: Nothing. This was our second visit and we were very happy both times
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, welcoming, great for an overnight stay. Nice rural location. Food was very good.
Cons: Nothing.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The place is 10 km outside Rouen in very quiet village. You definitely get proper night sleep. It was also ok for it's value. The bathroom was renovated and very clean. They also dog friendly, we could stay with our puppy for additional 10EUR supplement, which was fine. Also room had nice terrace with garden view. Also there was car parking available in front of the hotel (free).
Cons: The hotel doesn't have the elevator or if it does we were not informed on it and couldn't find it. Check-in process a bit quick and except receiving keys we didn't have much interaction with staff. Same at check-out. The hotel and room (except bathrooms) is a bit outdated (like 90's style) and looks a bit worn. Also the room was cold and there was no option to use heating system (it's really old and didn't function). It's ok for one night stand but wouldn't recommend it for longer more comfortable stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location, especially if you have a dog that needs walking, with friendly ands helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing
Hôtel 1er Consul Rouen - Rouen - Building

7.7 Good (1,220 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Hôtel 1er Consul Rouen is in the heart of Rouen, within a 10-minute walk of Hotel de Ville and Rouen Cathedral. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and an elevator (lift).
7.5 Good
Pros: We liked the size of the rooms and the location. As we arrived late we had an interesting experience to acces our rooms: very accommodating and to recommend.
Cons: There was not ventilation because the building is old. Because of that there wasn’t enough oxygen if the windows weren’t open.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect for local vieille ville, cathedral, cafes, museums etc. On the main street, but parking was easy there. The decor was great as a kind of fun trip back to the Bonaparte era. The staff were mostly very nice and helpful. The room had kettle, tea/coffee.
Cons: Nothing really, except a small fridge would have been useful.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Centrally located. Easy to find. Not too expensive.
Cons: The room had a really bad smell of some chemical. I guess they recently refurbished the whole thing and it was a smell of paint or glue, but opening the windows didn't help much.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Great reception upon arrival, Location and that's all it has to offer
Cons: Hallways are dark and a bit damp smelling, everything closes at 8pm so no bar, food or anything else . Our room No 42 was adequate and reasonably decorated but noisy from the street ! No air con on a hot day but that's our fault for not looking properly. Wouldn't stay there again.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location, just round the corner from the old gothic Catholic church was excellent. The town centre and Notre Dame were close by as well. Tiny room but large comfortable bed.
Cons: We were allocated an inside room that looked into a tiny courtyard that was about the dimensions of a lift shaft. The window of our next door neighbours was within touching distance and one of the residents, a woman, was loud and talkative making it a compromise to open our window in the stifling heat.
6.8 Good
Pros: Great location to explore the old section of the city.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. Close to centre, close to station. Easy check in even after check in hours. After discount good value for money .
Cons: Hotel is a bit out dated , needs some renovation. However, we booked it with discount , so for this reason it was good value for money . There is no air conditioning, so we needed to open windows since it was very hot. However, hotel is on a drive street , so there was some noise from it and from the bar across the road.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Rouen and secure parking a 2 min walk away. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The bed linen was clean and comfortable. The shower although dated and worn worked well and the mirror was big and well lit. The room appeared to be clean.
Cons: The decor was dark, dated and tatty with Napoleon as the theme apparently. We booked a double and triple room. The double room was decorated in what can only be described as padded cell wall paper which was peeling off in several places. The paint in the balcony was peeling and the table lamp didn’t work. The bed was listed as a double bed but was actually 2 singles pushed together, although it was comfortable. The triple room bathroom had mould around the shower and the toilet did not flush and had to be initially manually filled with water. Again the bed linen was comfortable as were the beds.
6.0 Good
Pros: central location
Cons: Very noisy at night on street

7.5 Good
Pros: It was convenient
Cons: Breakfast was too expensive
7.5 Good
Cons: The hotel and facilities were good. Unfortunately we chose it to be able to visit the Cathedral in the morning, but it was closed, as it was Bastille Day!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Central location, convenient parking, clean basic room, friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was a very short walk to the Notre Dame Cathédrale. Neighborhood streets are cobblestone with old French style and many cafes and restaurants close by. The rooms were clean and well equipped.
Cons: Access by car is cumbersome. You need a code to activate a bollard. The code sent to us by email had expired. Parking is underground in very cramped spaces.
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: I've raised an unresolved complaint with the hotel as charged the 50 deposit
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extreemly well placed in the town centre
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location in the centre of Rouen. Very close to Cathedral and the evening light show.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Spacious and clean . No doubt to return again. But may have to choose units wisely when expected to stay during the warms days .
Cons: The room gets too warm , despite a mobile fan was in use. Maybe a mobile air conditioner that is needed rather than the fan in this unit of Lamberti .
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great
Cons: Leaving
Hôtel de l'Europe - Rouen - Building

8.2 Excellent (306 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hôtel de l'Europe places you in the heart of Rouen, within a 10-minute walk of Rouen Cathedral and Rue du Gros-Horloge. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Only the two receptionists were nice and polite.
Cons: The director is absolutely not flexible and is rude. He refused to cancel our reservation made by mistake after only 5min. No negotiation possible. No way to talk to him directly. He ruined our stay in Rouen. No AC in the rooms for a 3stars... such a shame.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Approach of hotel staff. Excellent. Advising, helping with arrangement of local transport, recommending nice places for dinner.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was the best part of this property. It wasn't a beautiful area; it was more commercial. But just around the corner put us right into the historic heart of Rouen. Everything was clean and the housekeeping was very good. Staff were all friendly.
Cons: The carpet in the room was due for a deep cleaning or replacement. It would have felt better if it weren't carpeted. The bed was a tight fit. A bit noisy early in the morning with trash or other trucks and also in the evening with young nightlife nearby.
6.8 Good
Pros: Location was great
Cons: While The location is very good, very close to the centre, there is no air conditioning and as the temperature was very high, there was a heat wave, we called reception to ask for a fan, to be told "no". I really think fans should be available in the rooms in the summer. We spent a very uncomfortable night, and hardly slept, as we left the windows open for air, which there wasn't really, and when we did manage to nod off, were woken by people and scooters etc passing outside. A fan in our room would've made a huge difference. They should invest!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Staff OK at breakfast
Cons: The lifts were broken, the noise starting at 4.30 a.m. was terrible. Bed not comfortable, no air con. Not good value
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was ok...location good and staff was helpful...I knew there would be steps...parking was free and staff was helpful with thst
Cons: Rooms was small
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is fantastic. Easy walking distance to EVERYTHING! Bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious enough for two people with large suitcases.
Cons: They did not provide an iron nor did they have one to borrow. I had a suit and dress shirts that needed pressing for a fancy dinner and was unable to properly press them, needed to steam in shower.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Efficient and clean
Cons: N/a
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent as was the breakfast. Everything was very clean and staff were helpful.
Cons: The rooms were quite small and noisy.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent for exploring the Old Town. It was easy to find walking from the station with luggage - all down hill. On the return, we took a taxi because it was only a five minute drive, but well worth it with luggage. There were two pillow options! This was lovely because all of the hotels I stayed at prior had given me a headache, due to being too tall, firm and uncomfortable.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, bed, services!
Cons: No provision of safety deposit box or fridge. Additional charge for parking.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has a restaurant which is open over the weekend. This is exceptional in Rouen. The restaurantsiss good, the service excellent, as is the breakfast. The staff assistance to park my large car was very much appreciated.
Cons: The traffic in Rouen, very complicated.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location was good for the centre. Parking also good.
Cons: Breakfast was a disaster. Nobody greeted us or checked we had paid. So we just walked in . The orange juice container had a broken tap so did not work. The scambled egg had run out and when we asked for more it came out stone cold. I did complain and the waiter blamed the counter hot plate, but left the cold scrambled egg there!!!!! I asked him to put mine in the microwave oven which he did. The selection on the buffet was not looked after and was a mess.
6.3 Good
Pros: 24 hrs check-in, car park, and breakfast was good
Cons: The photos showing the rooms on the Accor and the booking website did not match with the rooms we got, they were very old, the door panel and the light switch were damaged, the curtain dirty. The rooms we got did definitely not match with a 4 star hotel nor our expectations we had seeing the photos on the website.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Away from road noise, location perfect, parking facilities were good. In house breakfast expensive so we ate elsewhere.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff. Good breakfast
Cons: Should have had a double room but instead had a disabled room. Spacious bathroom but the bed was definitely not a double
5.5 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff and available parking
Cons: It is old stuff and needs an upgrade
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed in an air conditioned room. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Could not have wished for a more comfortable and pleasant stay.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent welcome from staff. Very clean room. Nice food, very good breakfast. Easy to find.
Cons: Plastic cups in room. No milk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, and close location to the city centre. I particularly chose this hotel as a stopover on our way further south as it was near the main road and had parking. (The parking was a little tight, but we managed it, even with an estate car.)
Hôtel De La Cathédrale - Rouen - Bedroom
4
7.8 Good (1,901 reviews)
5.5 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: The shabbiness and standard of cleanliness of the hotel
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was convenient. I liked the old world feel of the hotel.
Cons: The price was high for what was offered. The bathrooms could use to be modernized. Having a room on the 3rd floor, a fan or two would have been welcome. It was hot in the room and we needed to sleep with the doors open.
6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel instructions for parking were very accurate. The reception area and courtyard area was very inviting. The hotel had a shabby chic design.
Cons: The reception was not very welcoming and the staircase to our room was put the 'shabby' in the shabby chic.
4.3 Okay
Pros: There were clean sheets, no ac and no help with luggage etc. the attitude seemed indifferent at best. Parking for hotel was municipal lot 3 blocks from the room
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was excellent. Staff friendly. Lovely quiet courtyard to relax in.
Cons: I don't think my room or my adult son's room could have been any smaller if they tried! Both were doubles. (Two people in each room) I could not even close the en-suite toilet door. It was a small folding door that could only close half way. I could also hear other people using their toilet and the flush. Overall, the hotel is okay for an overnight stay but way overpriced for the size of the rooms.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: No air conditioning
9.1 Excellent
Pros: This place is very quaint. It is in a great location next to the cathedral and is clean and comfortable despite being obviously very old (and by that I don't mean worn down - I mean that you can tell the building has been there forever but it is well taken care of). There is a nice court yard/patio with a very friendly cat and a nice breakfast. Would stay there again 100%
Cons: The key system is a little old, other than that, everything is great!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Quirky, with charm. The bedroom was comfortable and nicely decorated. The courtyard was a lovely place to sit and relax.
Cons: Mid week but was still a bit noisy at night. The communal areas are a bit tired.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A lovely old property on a very quiet street. The courtyard is great for quiet reading and the room was spacious with a comfortable bed.
Cons: Our room was stuffy and there was no fan or air-conditioning. A fan would have made it much more comfortable.
7.0 Good
Pros: what a fantastic location - makes up for the lack of modern amenities
Cons: needs some modernisation - but lets face it your never in the hotel as there is so much to do outside and around
6.8 Good
Cons: The bathroom was tiny - no room to turn.
