Pros: Clean, comfortable, quiet. Any staff person that I encountered was friendly and I just had an overall good feeling when I left. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Cons: The coffee
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great value and clean. Smelled nice in the room. First time I ever got a garage at a hotel.
Cons: The bed seemed hard at first but I slept fine. It was clean. I overlook things like that when the $ is reasonable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We like the owner and his wife and we like the garage that comes with t!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The Guardian Inn was a locally-owned motel in a small town about a half-hour from the town we were visiting, which didn’t have any available overnight accommodations. The building itself was quite unique in that it resembled a ranch-style home with attached wings which housed guests. The very interesting feature about the 21 guest rooms was that most (not ours) each had an attached garage. Great for inclement weather, especially Minnesota winters. Our room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable, and the motel itself was quiet. The owner was friendly and helpful. The price was right!
Cons: The room was large and quite plain - serviceable might be a good description. The bathroom sink was in the bedroom on the common wall between that room and the bathroom itself. The complimentary breakfast was very simple, with limited selections of food.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable and the location was excellent.
Cons: Layout of the hotel is confusing at best and the restaurant inside is tying way too hard to be upscale. The price for dinner met this expectation while the food fell way short. I would advise not dining there. Take a walk to the Number 4 American or the Pub 500 both of these restaurants were excellent.
6.3 Good
Pros: Proximity to Verizon Center, access to restaurants, onsite food/drink option.
Cons: Hotel had a bad odor, found socks from the previous guest in one of our rooms... it left a feeling that the rooms had not been cleaned properly or to the full extent.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice breakfast area. Lots of room to eat in comfort. Quite a few selections too.

4.0 Okay
Pros: The front desk person however was very personable so that was the best thing about the hotel! That alone really helped the other situations (see below)
Cons: We thought the place looked a little run down - things were repaired sloppily in our room and didn't feel clean with questionable items that were still splashed on the bathroom wall, etc. Also, this is the first place in my life where an envelope was left for "tips" for the maid? Because of no carpeting possibly and thin walls, we could hear the neighbors talking, kids running up and down the stairs after hours and very noisy in general.

6.2 Good
Pros: Very glad that the air conditioning worked like a charm. A nice price for a simple motel room. A quiet stay.
Cons: The place needs some updating, and more attention. I didn't like the shampoo in plastic packets that I couldn't open while in the shower. The vent fans in the bathroom were way too noisy as well. It's also never good to see out of order equipment in the breakfast lobby. Next time I'll spend a little extra and stay somewhere else.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The breakfast area was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: It smelled of mold/mildew. It was dusty (I drew a line in the dust on the base of the t.v. and on the lamp base). The ceiling tiles were budging. Smoke detector wasn't operating. Cobwebs inside and outside the window, complete with spiders. Cords.

Pros: Nice staff
Cons: Smelt horribly of stale smoke in the hallways. No locks on the outside doors. Shady individuals hanging out all night. No extra lock on the actual room door either. My room smelt of mold and sewer. The carpet and bedding was all very dated and gross.

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: I liked they had a room available.
Cons: It took over a half hour to check in. The manager was yelling at someone in the phone the whole time we were checking in. The room was not clean
5.4 Okay
Cons: I had to sign my life away to declare I would not smoke but then they put me in a room that reaked of cigarette smoke, so much that if I hadn't asked to change rooms, me and my belongings would have stunk. The new room had an air conditioner that sounded like it was "dripping/clicking" and kept me awake. The breakfast was horrible, stale bagels, and watered down juice .. yuk!
4.0 Okay
Pros: The waffles for breakfast. Close to the highway.
Cons: Food left in our fridge from the guests before. Made us wonder what else they didn't clean. Staff not the friendliest. One roll of toilet paper...not even full. Ran out and we were there for 12 hours and most of that was sleeping.
7.0 Good
Cons: The hotel reeked of smoke, even in the non-smoking areas. We had to wash everything made of fabric when we got home to get the stench out. The smoke ruined the experience.
6.0 Good
Cons: I just didn't like that other people got rooms for less closer to my destination than me on another website.
6.0 Good
Pros: A comfortable basic room. No issues. Liked having a refrigerator.
Cons: Some remodeling happening. Didn't cause us any problems.
5.4 Okay

5.4 Okay
Pros: Westayed at Days Inn specifically to watch the fireworks and so our grandson could swim in this pool, and the hotel did not disappoint for those purposes. also the staff (though small) was friendly.
Cons: The hotel itself needs work and some TLC. Carpets are old, pool needs some repair, A/C unit was unpredictable, and the hotel needs cleaning and redecorating.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: The staff. Rude.

3.8 Mediocre
Cons: The whole place smells like wet dog and cigarette smoke. The rooms look like they were put together from a thrift store. It seems as though had there been a problem in the room that they shoddily put it together with some glue and spackle instead of fixing a properly . All-in-all I am seriously disappointed with this place and I would never go there again .
7.9 Good
Pros: Clean and tidy. Fluffy towels! Very quiet at night. The room is unlike any other hotel I've stayed in.
Cons: Check-in process required driving several miles to another location. The window blinds block almost no light whatsoever. Combined with the summer night and bright exterior light, it was difficult to sleep well.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: That the cancellation policy is to harsh, I can understand a %10 or %15 , but the whole amount is a ripp off. People get sick....
7.1 Good
Pros: Bed was ok, pillows smelled like unwashed clothing and sweat. WIFI was awful. Had to use my own. Remote for TV didn’t work. Liked the fact that there was a fridge. Wish there was a toaster and cook top.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Having carpet on the cement floor. Having a room that did not smrll like amoke

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: It's close to everything, which isn't saying much because Mankato is small as it is. It's hard not to be in the center of everything.
Cons: The room wasn't clean, under the bed had trash, the hairdryer had pink stuff crusted on it, the staff was never around, the older man in staff was constantly angry and we saw him screaming at people over the phone in the lobby, he also seemed to be the only one who spoke proper English, our room keys randomly stopped working and no staff could be found without us yelling for them to fix the problem, the nut muffins at the breakfast bar are completely unlabeled as nut muffins, the carpet in the halls and stairs was filthy, and the entire second floor reeked of marijuana when we checked in.
