The young man on night reception was excellent! Lovely room, very clean! Free car park. Excellent value for money.

Not completely dark in the room when trying to sleep. The toilet was too close to the bath and it got completely drenched each time one of us had a shower.

Excellent hotel amazing value for money. Hotel room was exceptionally clean and well appointed. Food was amazing value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. We stay here regularly when we are on route to our holiday home in the Costa Del Sol.

Very comfortable stay.From the moment we arrived at the entrance it was apparent that the attention to detail re Covid requirements was exceptional and we felt safe and protected. We were on Dinner Bed & breakfast rate and both meals were excellent. Compliments to staff and management on a great service in difficult times. Would highly recommend, hope to have an opportunity to stay here again

The fact they took the pandemic very seriously. Hand sanitizer readily available in all locations Staff wore ppe all the time Restaurant was very well organised with social distancing adhered to.

It is very unfair to judge any hotel during Covid19 pandemic, it is unprecedented times for all but the staff and hotel coped very well

The property had just opened after COVID etc. They were well organised and couldn’t do enough for us. We felt safe and all of the measures worked well. Our room was excellent as were the staff. We didn’t chose to use the restaurant but were able to have a drink in the garden. Parking underground in the private car park was a bonus. Great value for money and great location if driving down to the Algarve!

SUPERB HOTEL, ROOM EXCELLENT, SUPERB COMFORTABLE BEDS, GOOD BREAKFAST WITH PLENTY OF TO CHOSE FROM, VERY COMFORTABLE HOTEL.

A very convenient location and a very comfortable hotel. Staff is helpful and kind throughout the hotel and restaurant. Like that it’s not in the congested downtown area, instead is just off the highway in a light Industrial zone. Room was large and bed was comfortable.

The staff was lovely and helpful but the food in the restaurant was just not great. We had late lunch and relatively late breakfast here. Not bad food, just not exciting in any way. Stay at the hotel, but my advice is to eat elsewhere.

Ideal position for our drive from Bilbao to Portugal. The stay overnight with the evening meal included was very good value

Lovely staff, very good value 3 course evening meal with lots of choice. We didn’t mind it being out of the city as the hotel ordered a taxi which came in under 5 minutes and we got the bus back. The hotel was nice and quiet and our room had a view of the cathedral. It was very comfortable.

The public areas were rather uninteresting. We would have liked a kettle in the room but there was a fridge.

WE LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT HOTEL MONTALVO. FREE UNDERGROUND PARKING IS A BONUS. ALL THE STAFF ARE SO DELIGHTFUL AND ALWAYS HAVE A SMILE. BREAKFAST IS VERY GOOD, IT PUTS OTHER HOTELS TO SHAME. DINNER IS VERY ACCEPTABLE. THE HOTEL INCLUDING THE BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS ARE ALWAYS SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. VERY CONVENIENT OFF THE MOTORWAY AS A STOPOVER FROM SANTANDER TO PORTUGAL. WE WOULD NOT CHOOSE TO STAY ANYWHERE ELSE.. :)) SEE YOU AGAIN IN MAY..

Comfortable rooms, comfortable bed, general cleanliness, good breakfast, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Overall really good value for money.

Not a major dislike, it’s a good distance away from Salamanca City Centre. That said Tryp Salamanca have a really good deal with a taxi group that will take you to the centre of Salamanca for just €10.

The hotel is clean, fresh and bright. The staff are very helpful and friendly. It as easy access to and from the motor way.

The meal in the restaurant was awful. We eat from the daily menu, we had breaded fish and vegetarian pasta. Both had been micro waved beyond eating. They had to go back, the waiter was extremely sorry even through it was not his fault. We did not bother to re order.

The hotel and staff were excellent. I used the underground parking for security reasons as I was travelling by Motorcycle, and it is a great city to visit. The inclusive breakfast was also more than adequate and much better than expected!

The room had a brilliant view over to the cathedral in Salamanca. The hotel is really well placed for getting back onto the motorway network and close enough to explore the city.

The mini bar was sparsely stocked.

Had to sleep an adult on the top bunk as the children could fit through the rail so we’re worried they might fall out in the night. The neighbouring rooms toilet flush was extremely loud in our room!

Breakfast is always wonderful and fresh. Honey straight from the rate. Dinner was also superb. Staff very welcoming but most do not understand anything but Spanish. They do their best. In the restaurant we had to send back my dish because I had ordered it without meat and they put meat on it. I think the waiter did not understand my english. He had understood I did not want beef and given me pork. Then we had to send back my husbands dish because he had ordered his meat well done and got it bloody. But I see that as being linguistic problems. They go out of their way to give great service.

Tea and coffee in the room or the possibility of getting it free of charge at the bar for residents.

Extremely good value for money, including the prices in the restaurant.

I was only using it as an overnight stopover on the way up to northern Spain, from the Algarve, but the location is not great, it’s on a trading estate. Having said that, I wasn’t there for the view and it was extremely convenient for the motorway. For families with young children, there was a nice outside area, with a good children’s play area.

Nothing is bad.

We loved the breakfast. I had read that some reviews say there is not enough but there was so much choice and so well presented. We are very frequent travellers and used to great breakfasts, but this breakfast far exceeded all breakfastst we ever had. The room was lovely and the beds were very good. Airco very good. The man at the reception when we checked in at night was very welcoming and we wish him that he scores as many goals in the 90th minute as he and his wife desire in their future family.

The only thing we missed was the facility to make tea or coffee in our room. We have not been to many hotels that missed this.

Very clean near motorway excellent value for money. Sweets in the evening given to room. Free parking large spaces.

The property was extremely clean and provided excellent spacious accommodation. Secure parking was provided nearby. The feel of this small hotel was luxurious and provided us with a very pleasant stay. Recommendation of a seafood/fish restaurant nearby was a hit.

Everything a great location to stop over before driving to Santander, Salamanca a lovely city to visit and the hotel will arrange on your bill a taxi service into the square. We have stayed at this hotel many times and have always never let us down.
