location is great and staff friendly and very helpful
despite it being very hot and early September the pool bar was only open sporadically and yet there were signs saying it wasn't permitted to bring food or drink from outside to the pool area..this was disappointing...
I liked the view of the bay with the USS Midway, aircraft carriers, sailboats in the morning. The lobby level, was immaculate and immense, which emphasized the grandness of my stay. The location was excellent, because it is walking distance from the San Diego Convention Center. The comfortable room enabled rejuvenating rest, after each full day at the San Diego Convention Center.
Nice staff. Great view
Facilities under construction. Asked for king bed but got two doubles. Told there was complementary water in room but there was none
Gentleman who helped me at check in was very nice and friendly.
Didn't like all the construction that was going on at the time. This was not mentioned prior to arriving at the hotel
The Grand Hyatt San Diego puts guests right on the waterfront in one of the American's most beautiful cities. San Diego's waterfront is a bustling place, with plenty of dining, retail, and entertainment options for those visiting San Diego for business and pleasure. The Grand Hyatt is also a great place for those who want to adventure through the natural beauty of Southern California outside of the city.
The Grand Hyatt San Diego has two different kinds of accommodations: rooms and suites. Rooms come in several different floor plans, some of which have a breathtaking view of the city while others overlook the water. The suites offer a more spacious hotel experience along with separate, distinct areas. These range from the 700 square foot Signature Suite up to the massive 1,450 square foot Penthouse Suite with distinct dining and seating areas.
Behind the Grand Hyatt San Diego is Sally's Fish House & Bar. This primarily outdoor restaurant backs right up to the marina, so diners can watch the waves roll in along with the many different boats. Considering this restaurant is literally steps from the ocean, guests shouldn't be surprised that it offers some of the freshest seafood around. Sally's signature dishes include seafood paella, seared ahi tuna, and provencal grilled swordfish.
Those visiting Grand Hyatt San Diego will find all kinds of different attractions they can enjoy. Here, there is something for everyone. Visitors are just minutes away from amazing golf courses, pristine California beaches, Balboa Park, Gaslamp Village, and the San Diego Zoo, which is consistently rated as one of the best zoos in the world.
