There are three different room styles in the Urban Boutique - A king, a queen, and an ADA accessible full bed. Loved the location and how close this was to Little Italy! Everything else was good, but that was great! Would have preferred a closer parking lot, but at least it was only $25/night, which was reasonable compared to other places we looked at.

Pros (+) That it was in the heart of Little Italy
Cons (-) The bed needs to be replaced, every movement created a noise. The fan in the restroom also needs to be replaced, it was really loud.

Pros (+) Friendly staff, good location for downtown SD access
Cons (-) Hotel is an old building, and it shows its age. Rooms are tiny, floors are uneven, pipes are exposed, walls are dented and dirty. TV only has a few channels and the remote only half worked (had to turn it on manually). Mattresses are rock hard. For over $100/night, this is mediocre.

Pros (+) I liked how friendly and helpful the staff was! Always willing to help & answer any questions, & attentive! Always asked if I was ok or if we needed housekeeping!
Cons (-) The bathroom wasn’t as clean as we wished & definitely needs fixing, falling apart. Also, the room had a weird smell to it, seemed like it was the covers on the bed.

Pros (+) -The room was cute and small -The bed was comfy -Bathroom area had bright light to do makeup properly -Breakfast was decent -Toiletries and amenities provided, fridge and microwave in the room made it easy to keep leftovers -Hairdryer (call the front desk) -Great neighborhood, close to harbor (10 minute walk), I felt safe as a single woman traveling alone, 5 minute drive/20 minute walk to downtown
Cons (-) -There was construction going on directly outside my window... I opened my window and there was literally a man on scaffolding looking back at me. I know that is short term-- but was quite alarming when it happened!

Pros (+) The hotel was located close to Little Italy, Downtown and the bay. There were free rides offered by the city that would take you anywhere downtown for free Fri, Sat and Sun. There were also pedicabs for a fee $15-25 per person. The hotel itself was clean and easy to get to. The room was unique is size, but was not small. The hotel rooms are not your typical style since the building is older. They ...
Cons (-) The parking situation wasn't ideal for larger vehicles. There were still renovations being completed while the hotel was open. The free breakfast needed a couple of more options.

Pros (+) Close to Little Italy. Cute little quiet rooms with refrigerators & ours had a view of the ocean in the distance, 3rd floor. Walking distance to restaurants & nice neighborhood. Less than $100 and close to many things.
Cons (-) Delt with meters for limited parking but hotel had parking for $20. Also, one towel was dirty hung up and continental breakfast was small.

Pros (+) The location is amazing, the staff are beyond amazing. My only gripe with the place was the cleanliness around the windows which appeared to have black mold. This place is perfect if you don't mind a small room.

Pros (+) Right around the corner from little Italy. Great food there. Short walk to the waterfront. Everything was a short drive away. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast was just enough and presented nicely. Nice little clean BOUTIQUE hotel. It's right in the name. So it is not like a typical chain hotel. We would definitely stay again!
