Location and free parking
Noise levelOverall the hotel is ok. Used this hotel for one night to sleep. Very good location and parking was free which was a plus. Room was mostly clean but had that old hotel feel to it and old hotel smell. Lighting was dark. TV was old. Blankets provided in room looked questionable and thin but luckily we brought our own thick blanket on our road trip. Hotel is located in busy Chinatown so you can pretty much hear everything outside. Hotel is good if your intention is to sleep and not spend a lot of time in the room
Within walking distance of lots of things.
Noise from neighboring restaurant sounded like an engine running all night long right outside my room. Source of the noise was only a few feet away. Moved a few rooms away but still heard the noise. Absolutely avoid rooms 101-103 and 201-203.Stay away from the rooms on the far end in the right wing and you'll do okay. I had only a few minutes of sleep all night!
The location was what I liked best about the hotel.
The parking lot is hard to locate for a new (first time) visitor. The rooms are very dark even with all the lights on. The walkway was very stained and dirty. The appearance gives you the impression of a very cheap/no thrill place. My room was very noisy!Again the hotel is in a very good location (ChinaTown). For a guy traveling alone, it may be OK. If traveling with a woman and/or children you may want to find someplace else.
The location is amazing, right next to North Beach and Chinatown; tons of stuff within walking distance. And the parking: not only free, but convenient access. Staff was also very helpful and the room was clean.
It's on a very noisy street. But we knew this going in. And there really are no public spaces. But again, we didn't need that, with so much to do in the area. This is a great option if you don't need a fancy room and can handle some noise at night. We stayed there with our 10 and 12 year old kids, just before moving to a fancier place in Union Square for the night before a wedding, and the kids couldn't stop talking about how much they missed 'our old neighborhood' -- North beach, Chinatown. The free parking was also a real plus. If we get a chance to go back, we'll definitely be interested in staying at Royal Pacific again.
Great location. Free parking. Price good for area and season. Room was a reasonable size. Nice not to feel cramped and keep falling over your stuff.
Noisy at night, but that is a problem with pretty much all of downtown SF.For a central location in San Francisco, for the price (including free parking)it was a reasonable deal. Like the rest of the area the motel was a little tatty, but it was clean and the room was a good size. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.
Free wifi and parking(1st come 1st serve basis). We arrived about 5pm & had no issue finding parking. Staff was nice. Hotel is near Fisherman's wharf & chinatown. A block down you can find bus line that runs straight to fisherman's wharf
Both nights at about 1-3am we heard some commotion going on outside on our hallway. Felt a little unsafe.Aside for the late night disturbances, the hotel was near a lot of the main attractions. For that reason, we were able to see & experience a lot w/ the short amount of time we had. Liked the fact that they provided free parking and that the staff were nice & helpful as how to get to places.
The location was great, and they had parking, room was small, no frills, tv was old.
Clean rooms, great location, free parking, and free Internet.
TV was old and the speakers were blown so it was hard to hear.Going to a two star I wasn't really expecting too much from the hotel. I found myself pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price and star rating. The rooms were very clean and the location was great. It was very close to little Italy and fisherman's wharf. It was a great deal and I would stay here again.
The rooms aren't fancy, but they are clean. The location is great and the included parking is wonderful. I've stayed here a few times and have never been disappointed. The rooms aren't fancy, but they are clean. The location is great and the included parking is wonderful.
