Pros. Location was amazing. Walking distance to the water and all the piers. Plenty of bars, restaurants and attractions. Very clean, and well maintained. Complimentary breakfast was good!
Cons. My wife was first surprised by the strip Clubs nearby. She soon realized it was not an issue at all. They were just a few of the many clubs, bar and restaurants in the area. Do not let that stop you from staying here.
Pros. Right between Chinatown and North Beach. Clean, nicely decorated, friendly staff
Pros. Hotel is in Chinatown, only blocks away from North Beach and a nice (downhill!) walk to Fisherman's Wharf, but the cable car line was close by and provided our return to the hotel. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was continental style (toast, boiled eggs, cereal, coffee). Hotel and room were VERY clean and room was not as small as I thought it would be.
Pros. The room and bathroom were very clean. The price was comparatively attractive. The windows faced a cement wall; felt like I was underground. ** For bare bones travel to downtown SF, the place was okay.
Cons. The room was drab. The staff turned off the AC daily so the room was hot each day. Walls were thin; could hear neighboring discussions. The bed was unconventionally firm. Lighting was awkward; one ceiling fixture as primary.
Pros. The location is by far the best part of this hotel. Will be staying there again every time I travel to San Fran to have a good time.
Cons. Not a very large room or special hotel for anything other than location.
