The price We found someone's dirty shirt under our bed
They have a security guard that patrols from 10PM to 6AM. Right next to the outlets in Camarillo! Lot's of "thuggish" looking individuals that tried "mad dogging' me at numerous times. Now I'm Latino and perhaps maybe they felt insecure about me, but get rid of that show of bravado. I realized that the low prices attracts people like that, next time I'll pay $20 more to get piece of mind. Pillows smelled like cigarette/marijuana.
Was there for pleasure, that's what I got. Would have liked fluffier pillows.
The bathtub was large, The wifi worked great, and they give you a cookie upon check-in. The bed was really uncomfortable and squeaky. The walls were super thin and I heard everything. Parking was right outside of rooms so you heard people coming and going and car alarms. Tub was stained, sink didn't work properly and drain smelled like sulfur. I would skip this place and try La Quinta inn.
Great place to stay for a night and good value. The outside noises can filter into your room and no amenities on site. Some maintenance was done in my room without my knowledge leaving the carpet very wet and the A/C failed to work after the maintenance visit. Front desk staff member not too concerned about my informing him of the wet carpet and unannounced work in my room.
Can't beat the price. Great for those travellers that are just passing through and need a bed to crash for a night. The location is good too, right next to outlets and theater. The rooms are very basic. Clean, but not squeaky clean. My room had a funky odor, like someone forgot to flush. The biggest drawback, however, is that there's no free wifi. $5 for 24 hrs of slow wifi.
The location was good. The fact that the Camarillo outlet stores were right next door was an added plus. The pillows on the bed were a bit flat. There was no jacuzzi.
For the price and location, great! Very clean. A bit noisy, due to the 101 FWY.
just a bed & shower
Staff, grounds, pool, hot tub. Well, the furnishings weren't my taste but that's just me. I usually like a more modern hotel.
Nice upgrade to room interior. Pool and jacuzi were great! Best best best value for better than average room. Nice touch with free breakfast!!
We had a large group of friends. Everyone felt the hotel was na great deal. To begin with the staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was a nice perk.
the staff was friendly and helpful; the room was good sized and clean with mostly good accomodations. There was a closet area without a clothes hanger rod and there were no towel bars by the sink or shower. Very inconvenient.
Clean, good-sized room, great bed, and friendly staff. 2 minutes from the middle of Ojai by car. Low-flow shower, but understandable in these parts.
quaint little motel with friendly staff, lots of charm
The hotel was very nice. We had paid in advance (November) for a date in May. In March we received a phone call from Kayak or their 3rd party telling us we would have to move to a hotel in Ventura since they had over booked the hotel. We were very upset since we had made reservations very early. We were told by that 3rd party that if we didn't move then we could cancel. After several phone calls and emails we were finally able to stay. The good thing was that the hotel had us in their system as the reservation they had and they told us that they were not changing it unless we told them we were. When we arrived at the hotel, our check in took about a 1/2 hour because the credit card the third party gave to the hotel was not working. It was sorted out but was incenvenient.
The rooms were clean and the Casa Ojai Inn permitted pets.
We stayed overnight on our way down to LA airport so consequently required a restful stop. Casa Ojai Inn is very comfortable, the swimming pool is an added bonus. The self service breakfast good and the staff very pleasant - we would definitely use it again. Ojai is a really interesting place- great seafood restaurant & a brilliant second hand bookshop & a real Literary centre.
Consistently good, with little touches that show that staff and owners care about property and the environment. Very quiet and comfortable. Walk to shops and hiking. I stay here every time I'm in Ojai. Need bedside outlets to plug in phone and other accessories.
I was unable to go to Casa Ojai Inn because my childcare fell through. When I tried to cancel Kayak wouldn't let me even though I'm sure the inn would have been able to book the room 36 hours in advance on a popular summer weekend. I will not be using Kayak to book anymore.
* It was clean * Staff was friendly * Bed was comfortable * Paid extra for a private "patio" which turns out to be a table and chairs outside the front door adjacent to parking lot (don't recommend you choose this upsell). * Faux-wood floors (I prefer carpet) * Tiny bathroom - only sink is in main room * Wall-mounted shampoo and soap dispensers (soap dispenser was empty for my shower) * Have to go to pool to get to ice machine
very nice staff, helped me with all kind of stuff
The room and bed were comfortable and clean. No ice machine on site.
Clean room, comfortable bed. Very friendly staff. Very pleasant experience overall. Nothing major. The Lysol they use to clean room between guests is a bit too pungent when walking in. Opening window for an he clears it up. Not a huge issue
The rooms are remodeled Oct 2010. Large flat screen TVs. Nice soft comfy beds.
The staff were extremely friendly/helpful with suggestions regarding where to go in town for nice restaurants, groceries, etc. The room was clean, stylishly decorated, and comfortable. The only thing that was missing were kleenexes.
Conveniently located, neat and clean, nice room Could not get internet to work
My stay at the hotel was a pleasant time. At first I was a little worried because the outside wasn't what I imagined, but once I entered our room, it was very nice inside. My Boyfriend and I got that room because we were going to the Channel Island. The hotel was close (10 mins away) from the pier and it was a really good price. The room exceeded my expectation. I wouldn't mind staying there again. Upon our arrival, the sign was messed up, it didnt my the hotel look pleasant, and parking was a little tight, but overall, there was nothing to complain about the inside of the room and that is what's most important.
The room was very clean and appeared to be recently refurbished. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly. Wireless internet was reliable and fast. Window and door locks could be more secure. Parking was inadequate. No shampoo provided by hotel. Motel is located in a neighborhood past its prime.
The rooms have been remodeled for functionality.Good price for a room with a full kitchen. It is located central to the area and has a nice size flat screen.Good for business trips.
the king size bed, the shower, the big flat tv the color of the lights. I know tthis is a detail but this could be changed in order to have a more cozy room
Gentleman at front desk was informative & courteous. Bed blankets & bathroom towels were stained (but not dirty).
Clean room. Comfy enough bed. I talked to the owner for a bit. I really appreciate that he is actively renovating to fancy the place up, and doing a great job of it too. Don't judge this place based on the street view! Nothing. More than expected, especially for the money.
This location has new , clean rooms. For the price, you can't beat it. Friendly staff. The bed was so-so. Extra cost for wi-fi. Low water pressure.
I couldn't believe they charged my card before I even got there. Then when I got too tired to drive anymore they wouldn't refund my money
You get what you pay for and that's what you receive here. You will get your money's worth and more. Pleasantly surprised. I would stay here again without hesitation!
Room was clean Very basic amenities. Bed uncomfortable.
Great size pool for young children. The landscaping was very beautiful. They wouldn't let me do an early check-in. Had to wait around with a 3 year old, and a 9 year old for 2 and 1/2 half hours before being able to check-in after 3pm.
the room was clean and decorated in a sleek euro style with efficient use of space and aesthetically pleasing details. we got a good nights sleep - all we needed. bare bones amenities including skimpy rough towels, tiny bars of soap and that was it. one vending area. deteriorating stairs. check in process seemed to assume we were potential rowdies or criminals.
Quite place Showers 2 short but good
At least there's a good bar called Cronies close by to go and drown your sorrows for staying at such a dump
The location is great, close to Old Town and the Outlet Mall. Seriously the most uncomfortable bed I have ever had at a hotel. Ruined the stay. Too bad, because the staff was very nice, the room was clean, and the location convenient. But if you cant get a good nights sleep, you are miserable
The location & price was inline with our needs. Very comfortable and gracious staff. Will definitely mark this place on the map for our friends! We needed more time to really enjoy and appreciate this place.
Excellent value. The customer service from the front desk to the maintenance ladies were ever so kind during our entire stay! They always replied to messages. And the cafe was quick and convenient! Bathroom was tiny and at times felt cramped... parking filled up fast but it really wasnt an issue considering there was plenty in the front. Bed was a bit stiff (especially coming from one enjoys firm mattresses) and the sheets felt scratchy.
Such a lovely stay. The office helped us check in past office hours with no problem at all. Room was perfect for our short stay on the way up North. Would visit again.
It was easy to get in and out of and it was clean. I thought it would include breakfast but the front desk said it wasn't included because I booked it on hotels.com. The price was the same as if I were to book it on their website so that made no sense. The beds weren't that comfortable. The electric plug next to the bed was broken so I couldn't plug my phone in to charge there. It was okay for 1 night but I don't think I would stay longer than that. It reminded us of the small hotels in Europe. Very basic... Also there is very limited parking. We arrived kind of late to check in and we had to park on the street.
Didn't like that there were no deadbolts on the doors, I defiantly didn't feel safe and secure.
NOTHING. Completely awful. Roach in hotel room (others said the same-I guess we got lucky and only saw 1), lights went out through the outside of the whole hotel-a lawsuit waiting to happen once someone falls down the stairs, mildew on walls in bathroom, stained towels, powder on floor-(treated for bed bugs?). Save your money and go elsewhere.
It was right off the freeway. I had to kill 2 roaches, found cigarette burns in the sheets of my nonsmoking room which smelled like stale smoke, the mini fridge did not work, there were stains on the walls & ceilings and the carpet was sticky. We checked in late, slept in our clothes, and immediately left when we got up the next morning. It was pretty gross.
Price... The smell of our room was atrocious. Like urine in a nursing home. This hotel is for extended stay on a poor budget. The clientele reflects the hotel. The price was cheap and reflected in the product. Only stay here is it is your only monetary option!
The pool and spa The room was bare. No clock, no hair blow dryer, no bar soap. I am very surprised it was given a 3 star rating. We will never stay there again.
Nothing. All around horrible don't make the mistake I did
Liked nothing. Staff was very rude. Only one outlet worked. Bathtub had a hole in it covered by a thin piece of plastic....thought I would fall through it. Room pictures provided on website look a lot better than the actual accommodations. I do not recommend.
When we first came in, they gave us a one bed when I reserved a two queen bed. The front desk clerk was rude. The internet is $5 per day for each device. They had us switch room, the second room smelled old and musty. My friends and I stayed there for 4 days, 3 nights and we had been itching the whole time. When we got home from our trip, I went to see the doctor because my rashes got worse, the doctor said it got infected and caused Cellulitis. My friends Still has the bites and it's all over our bodies.
Some of the staff were very courteous and attentive, responding to questions and assistance I needed, and very friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable, quite a bit better than some other places I've stayed in the area, as well as a nice size. There is fantastic access to restaurants in the area and the Premier Inn itself is very easy to find. I quite liked having a selection of places to eat within walking distance. Had an issue with neighbors playing loud music and after I called the front desk to have them turn it down, they retaliated by pounding on my door and running off in the middle of the night. Not the fault of the staff, but still annoying and a bit alarming. I requested a fridge and microwave in my room when I booked online, but did not get either. I wasn't notified at all that I wouldn't get one ahead of checking in and when I did find out upon check in, the man at the front desk told me that fridges and microwaves are only available in certain rooms. There are no further explanation or offer to be moved to a room with a fridge and microwave. I'm not sure why some rooms would have it and some not, since there was plenty of space in my room to accommodate a mini fridge and small microwave.
The whole place was filthy and reaked. I would not stay again
The price is right All the rooms even the non smoke rooms smelled like smoke. A few people asked to switch rooms but all rooms were booked so we were stuck with the rooms.
Good location for what i needed. 45 min north of LAX which could be 1.5 hours in peak traffic. Staff was friendly and helpful. Older facility right on interstate 101. A bit loud and run down but served its purpose for an inexpensive place to stay.
Close to beach Rooms are way to small for a family...Showers to small.
Staff was friendly on both check-in and check-out. The room looked exactly like the pictures on line, so there was no surprises. There wasn't enough towels. Although we had the air set for 68 it still felt humid and the blankets were really thin. Only ice machine was located by the front desk.
Loved that the night girl who was so sweet allowed me to request a later check out time and then the next day staff also even gave is an extra 30 min. Very nice of them all to do. WONDERFUL area for dogs potty. Cigg holes on comforter, non smoking room had ashtray and smelt like smoke , door had to be slammed really hard to shut properly
The proximity to the beach, the room's comfortability was standard. Previous occupants of our room smoked in the bathroom, despite our request for a non smoking room
Your staff are lovelyI'm .There was sand in our bed when I pulled down the covers. We hadn't beeN to the beach...
The room was very clean and I liked how close I was to the beach. I wish it had a refrigerator, there was a family staying next to us that were obnoxious.
Came across one sweetes treceptionist. Good price It says it's a nonsmoker yet it still kinda have a bit of a cigarette smell
The Outside of the Inn is very quaint. The rooms themselves are larger than you would expect. They also seem to have little cottages as well that were bigger. Would definitely come again. The only real thing I could complain about is that they didn't clean out the fridge, there was an open bottle of Pacifico and a couple other random drinks.
The staff were friendly and super accommodating. The location was a short walk into town but far enough away to be private and less expensive. It was next door to a golf course which permitted me to surprise my husband with the opportunity to play golf, since I knew he always has his clubs and paraphenelia in his trunk. The room was very comfortable, with two queen beds (although we only needed one) with very comfortable quilts and throws on them (also plenty of pillows), a mini kitchen with microwave, fridge and electric kettle with teas and coffees) eco-friendly goods for shower, soaps, etc., a large flat screen TV, and anything else you might need and had a lovely view from the back window. (our room was on the second floor. We noticed that the first floor rooms had little patios un back.) The hotel accommodated our request for an early check-in and a late check-out.) All together a lovely stay. Oh, and they had a continental breakfast with a wafflemaker. The only things I would suggest would be: (1) perhaps to have an option for a softer pillow rather than all pillows being on the harder side and (2) consider adding hard-boiled eggs or some other form of non-dairy protein to the continental breakfast for people whom dairy is not an option. These are only suggestions, not really dislikes.
Had a great time in Ojai. Dinner and a community play. People were very friendly at the hotel. Bungalow was ok with a little more privacy. Flooring was separating. Bed moved on flloor. Headboard was leaning. At $200 for the night (tax included), just an ok value. Even for CA.
Close to a lot of restaurants and some attractions. Nice view in front of the hotel. Price was descent for Ojai. Staff was friendly. Rooms are small. Walls are very thin so can hear neighbors turn I their faucets and walk around. Patio was shared with neighbor and had construction so was not useful for dog (Patio room was required to allow dog). Floors squeaked in our room. Shower mirror had black splotches on it.
i had to have a place to stay. there was not even a clock in the room to keep time. I did not feel safe there. Someone in the room next to ours was getting beat up the second night we were there. Many shady characters here.
Overall good hotel. N/A
The title says it
We were surprised when we walked into the room. It didn't seem half bad, and though we didn't use a black light to determine how clean it actually was, the appearance did not indicate any dirt, however it was clear the bathtub had some stains the staff couldn't get rid of, and they didn't choose to replace the tub because it still worked fine. For the money, we would have been overall safisfied with our stay if it wasn't for one important detail: a working toilet. The first night the toilet worked fine for urine, and even the first round of #2. But by the next morning, #2 was not flushing. (Also the sink was not draining from minor facial hair from shaving). We alerted the staff when we left in the morning and by the time we got back in the evening, our room had been cleaned, the toilet seemed functional again, and so did the sink. However by night time with just urine (and very little (if any) toilet paper use, so as to not disrupt the delicate plumbing,) it was clogged by the end of the night. In the morning while getting ready, we of course had to urinate so we had to do it in the toilet that hadn't been flushed from the night before. Before we left in the morning we tried flushing it again, and this time it overflowed (urine and all.) We quickly threw towels on the ground to catch the waste going all over the floor, preventing it from leaving the bathroom, while we simultaneously turned off the running water to the toilet. We again alerted the staff before we left that day. When we returned, the toilet looked fine again. Long story short, we had 2 more days at the hotel that were pre-paid thanks to how kayak does things, and since we didn't feel it was a problem unique to our room and more likely a problem of plumbing for the hotel overall, we just simply had to "make due" (pun intended,) by using the toilet strictly for urine and having to use toilets at restaurants while we were out throughout the day, for our #2's. We feel like the ability to fully utilize the restroom that comes with your hotel room, is key to actually being able to call it a hotel room. We weren't mad at the staff because I would imagine they get tired of getting these calls and having to fix/unclog toilets all day, and they'd love nothing more than to have the problem solved for good, but the higher ups would rather squeeze as much profit as they can from what already seems a slim margin. Honestly, I don't think this is a problem with motel 6's overall (though this was our first,) so I would try a motel 6 again, but probably just not this one. (Oh, and no shampoo... Not a huge deal I guess.)
It was available Non smoking room had ashtrays and cigarette burns everywhere. My pregnant wife was bummed. I was just mad.
The room was beautifully remodeled with a full kitchen and a soothing shower head and the staff was very friendly. I noticed a slight smoky smell in the room and the bedding.
We got a free upgrade from a extremely friendly manager. The room was spacious, well stocked with jaccuzi and large flatscreen tv and above all very, very clean. The bed was comfortable. We slept like babies. Would recommend this to all. We stayed at the Luxor in Vegas the night before, but the Viking was better!
The reception was remarkable. Friendly atmosphere and service was great and you got answer immeaditely to all your questions. Room was really nice and big, especially considerung the price. Location is little interesting, next to used car sales, but don't let it bother you.
There was mold in the bathroom and we could not stay the second night because we could not breath in the room! Would not recommend this motel to anyone! They didn't even have a band aid.
Rooms were large and clean. Parking was very convenient and property is located on street not too far from Beach and recreation. Suite was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly, very welcoming and very flexible. I would stay there again. 10% tax not included in price quoted on the internet
The customer service and courtesy was excellenct, they even up graded my room to a suite. The room had a large flat screen tv and a descent size kitchen, but the rooms themselves could use some upgrading. The doors would stick and I had to put some shoulder weight on them to open; the walls were thin and I could hear "EVERYTHING" from the surrounding rooms. If all you want is just a room with a bed to lay your head and a shower to clean yourself up, this is your place. If your looking for luxury you might want to skip this one.
Clean room for low price. Holes in Blanket, Big TV but didn't work properly, lot of Streetnoise, old Fashionated.
they tried very hard, but it was what it was!
The manager stayed till midnight to wait for our late check-in. He also allowed us to check out later than 11am. The kitchen is very convenient for a family. No coffee in unit.
Rooms have been recently remolded with a modern look. Outside run-down, needs attention. No pool or spa.
Great staff, nice rooms1
The staff was very friendly, available and helpful. Nice to have full kitchen! The street it's on can be a bit loud if you are near the front.
location near highway, close to shopping malls and stuff like that quite loud, shower isn't that clean
I liked bathroom and the bed super comfy. Parking , the fact that people live there oh and the fact the cops showed up because drugs
Cheap Rate. Good A/C Dirty bathroom, Mold in shower. Shower head too low.
Nothing Everything. We booked for one night. But when we came after mid night we saw that room , sheets, bath were very dirty and stains were everywhere. We reject to stay and prefer to sleep in the car because it was Saturday night and all hotels around were fully booked. After our complaints night manager offered to reimburse us which we still didn't receive yet.
Everything was clean. No weather stepping on bottom of doors. Made the night very cold even with the heater on.
It was more comfortable than sleeping in my car You can't find this address with an app or gps, it's not on S Victoria but on Ventura Blvd. Room was shabby, frayed carpet, bagged up paint, bedside lights didn't work.
Folks were friendly Very basic: no wash clothes and no breakfast
Overall it suited our needs for a one night stay. Staff very nice. Needed more towels in restroom
The hotel/motel was located on a busy street, traffic noise was loud from dawn to evening hours.
Price, free WIFI, refrigerator No ice available
The hotel was conveniently located for our event. The room was basically clean and the facility was very quiet. While part of the room has been refurbished (bathroom, kitchenette floor and tile), much needs attention. The carpet was torn and dirty, the chest of drawers and bedside table had broken drawers, one leg of the easy chair was broken. The towels were extremely thin and only two were provided.
Staff is ok. There're micwave and refrigerate in room. We cannot fall asleep because the smell from the carpet and bed of the room! Fainally, we exchange another one. Room looks dirty.
The price was low enough Walls so thin we could hear our neighbor snoring all night and vehicular activity of other customers; besides a mammoth flat-screen TV the decor probably hasn't been updated in 40 years.
Hotel was fine for the price, good fridge and microwave but in a poor industrial baron location. Horrible option for someone without a car. Lack of shops and transportation around the area
friendly staff. I extended my stay to 5 days here old equipment, close to the Pacific Highway- some noise from the road.
It was very plain The staff attitude is just gross
pretty much quiet most of the time. I requested a wake up call but never got one so I had to rely on my cell phone. Need a towel rack by the sink
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms was very clean.
The room was spacious and the kitchenette was an unexpected bonus. The location was excellent. The parking was good. The curtains were worn and needed to be replaced. Breakfast was not included.
