Great location Reception staff needs to be friendlier. It felt cold checking in. Especially the men. There was one lady with an accent that was very nice when I was checking out.
The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. They all speak very good Engish and so so nice. The room was AMAZING, clean, comfortable, robes and slippers, bottled water, coffee, etc. The area surrounding the hotel is wonderful, safe, with many great restaurants and shops.
We stayed for 1 night, but everything worked out perfect. Since the check in (the room was selected as we asked) till the easy going late check out that we got, with a smile from the front desk. Had a meal in the room (nice) and breakfast the next day (american style, very good). By the end of the day, we (me and my girlfriend) recomend and will be back next time in Santiago!
A very fine, comfortable hotel with a high standard of customer care and service. Excellent location, free Internet, close to good restaurants in Patio de Bella Vista.
excellent help and sevice from the front desk - particularly Oscar - in all my requests, including chasing down the tour company and finding batteries for my camera late at night. I found the wireless internet in my room difficult to use.
The location is ok, really friendly and helpful staff Paying for wi-fi as so many hotels in the region offer this for free
Excellent hotel in a very good location with a high standard of servcie and free Internet
Perfect organisation of transfer in the time after the earthquake.Very prompt reponse. Very fine hotel. We paid half of the regular price. The full price would be too high. A bit far from the old town to walk (although possible). However, (cheap and convenient) subway is next door
There is a good massage service, generaly hotel ok, makes you feel safe but it is very much old style furnished and does not feel so fresh,
The bed was really confortable.
The staff -- several of whom spoke good English -- were very friendly and forgave us our poor Spanish. They were patient with us when we tried to pay with a Discover card (not accepted much in Chile) and had to use another. The manager (or at least the one on duty when we were there) also helped us with a suggestion about which bus to use to get to Valparaiso the day we checked out. Another gentleman kindly retrieved us from the lobby and told us as much as he was able in English about the area. We loved our loft room. The place was clean and comfortable, including and especially the bathroom. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to a friend. It was a bit confusing to find -- the address belongs to more than one operation, it seems, and the man behind the desk right inside the front door did not speak English and had to call someone else to come get us. (He was, at least, able to nod when we said "Amistar Apartments" and motioned for us to wait for someone to help us.)
Good Wifi broke many times
A practical, reasonably priced place to stay in a city with very high accommodation costs.
After arriving from a long flight, I was delighted to find a very lovely room, with a very comfortable bed. Best of all, there is a supermarket located on the first floor of the building, so I was able to make great use of the kitchen. The furnishings were great, the staff was great, service personalized, and I felt like I had my own apartment half way around the world! I will recommend this hotel to all of my friends.
The personal service provided by the manager was A+++ beyond the call of duty. The location was extremely convenient and central to all attractions. The pool area was fantastic and the room was very well furnished and decorated. The 2nd bedroom of the apartment was too small to be called a real bedroom. ie: the roll out bed provided could not even be fully extended and the room could not be entered at the same time as there was not enough room to even open the door. Unfortunately we were also located on a floor too low to take in the panormic views of the mountains advertised.
The correspondence and help I received from Nicholas was the best customer service I had received while being away on holiday. The images on the web site make the apartment look a lot bigger than what it actually is.
Location and facilities No aircon
Very clean, fantastic location, great design, excellent service, and tasty breakfast. No complaints!
The staff and location really make this hotel a place to remember. From the first second of your arrival the staff make a great effort to be accommodating and friendly. The hotel is locate across the street from a nice park and is a short walk from museums and an abundance of restaurants and shops. Highly recommended. My only real complaint is the TV had a limited selection of channel options, but when you are visiting someplace new you probably shouldn't hang out in your room anyway.
What a great find! Our rooms were comfortable and nicely remodeled; the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive (especially Claudio at the desk); the restaurant breakfast was delicious; and the location couldn't be better. I'll definitely stay there again. The shower in my friend's room took a long, long time to drain, so he had 1-2cm of standing water all over the bathroom floor when he finished bathing. The staff responded right away, and they did their best to fix it, but they were unsuccessful. Hopefully they can get that taken care of soon, because that was the only problem we experienced.
They were very helpful and accommodating, helping to arrange outings and tours and hooked me up with an excellent taxi driver that I could count on to be on time and to charge fairly. When I sprained my ankle they made sure I had ice and assisted me as needed. It is a wonderful facility, with a great roof top restaurant view. Of the 40+ accommodations I have stayed at tin the last 4 months from Cuba, to Iceland to New Zealand to China to Fiji, this has been the most creative, and has had the best English as a second language speakers The room card kept on malfunctioning, which caused me to have to go back and forth to reception on a sprained leg, which was painful. But, this is a problem I am sure they will sort out.
