Pros: The room and hotel are beautiful. We had a beautiful view of the city and Yerba Buena Gardens. The service is impeccable. Very comfortable bed and quiet rooms.
Pros: Service was excellent. Room service perfect. Bar outstanding. Concierge service spot on.

Pros: The staff was incredibly friendly and the happy hour after a long ride on complimentary bikes was a nice way to end the day.
Cons: I missed having a hot tub or sauna.
Inspired by the elements of sky and water, the Acqua Hotel showcases an elegant simplicity punctuated by the natural beauty which surrounds it. Complimentary wine and cheese is provided each evening. Tea and coffee are always available. Complimentary WiFi service ensures you are well connected! Canine companions are always welcome, though pet-friendly rooms are limited. The Acqua Hotel is a non-smoking hotel.
Pros: This boutique hotel has so much charm. It was perfectly located for our many day exploration of SF. I also found it to be located in a hip area, being around the corner from the, reservations only, craft cocktail lounge Bourbon & Branch, and the best Thai restaurant (according to expats) in the city, Million Thai.
I shopped many (endlessly beige and corporate) luxury hotels in the area, but was won over by this luxury hotel with personality. The room was very clean and quiet. We found the duvet and bed to be very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern with a wonderfully relaxing shower. The reported remodeling was complete when I visited and I found that the photos were an accurate portrayal of the rooms.
I would not hesitate to book this hotel again, and would enthusiastically endorse it to friends and family.
Pros: The yellow "pineapple" touches all around the hotel were adorable!! we stayed in the queen starlet room which was small but you'd hardly notice - it was laid out very well. Bathroom is very modern! Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Our airconditioner didn't work the first night. The front desk offered to move us to a new room but we declined, hoping the window would provide some cool air. The next day our AC was fixed while we were out and we didn't have further problems. Also wish the the bed had a top sheet in addition to the fitted sheet - Sometimes the duvet was too warm.
Pros: Great yellow accents. Great staff. Great breakfast food.
Cons: Wish there were more food options and eating time.
Pros: room overall was very small, but looked very nice and clean. not much of a view in downtown San Francisco... we were staring right into someone else's hotel room in the adjacent building. solid room, great customer service.
Cons: area underneath toilet lid seat was filthy
Pros: Everything was very nice and the staff was very friendly. I also liked check out time was 12PM without having to ask for a late check out.
Pros: Location, pineapple scent
Cons: A ton of little creaky, old, uncomfortable things about this hotel add up to a tough place to sleep. This includes hard pillows, creaky pipes, random irregular sounds from the walls, a heat-happy thermostat, and so on
Pros: Service was great. They were very helpful.

Pros: Very friendly staff, great service. The access to Equinox is fabulous! Prime, prime location--the best!!
Cons: In-room dining is awful. I had breakfast twice, and was severely disappointed at the outrageous price for the poor, poor quality of every aspect of the food--coffee is burnt and thick like mud, toast burnt, side vegetables unbelievably expensive with NO quality. The fresh orange juice is good. And that's it.
Otherwise, the hotel is just wonderful.
Pros: Amazing service and experience! We we're there for our honeymoon and loved every moment. The staff went out of there way to help us.
Pros: Nice rooms. Polite staff. Nice bathrooms. Everything worked without an issue.
Cons: At Reservation, called the 800 number. I was told they only had two suites available. No rooms. Two minutes later, I went on Kayak and booked two rooms with no issue.
Service was in no way exceptional. It was a little irritating that bell desk couldn't get cab.
Food/bar is terrible
Surcharge for internet access is ludicrous
This San Francisco luxury hotel is in downtown's Yerba Buena Cultural District, two blocks from Union Square and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

The hotel's restaurant, MKT Restaurant-Bar, showcases locally sourced steaks and hand-crafted cocktails. Children's menus, bathrobes, and babysitting/supervised child care activities (surcharge) are all provided, as well as milk and cookies for children upon arrival.
Guests are offered a 24-hour business center, free basic WiFi (premium connections available), and 15,000 square feet of meeting facilities. Luggage storage is available. Valet parking can be provided (surcharge), metered street parking and nearby parking are also available (surcharge).
The Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco is a smoke-free property.
All 277 guestrooms in this 17-floor hotel offer premium bedding, down comforter, LCD TV with cable service, iPod docking station, docking stations for MP3 players, wireless Internet access, floor-to-ceiling windows, and marble baths with separate showers and deep soaking tubs.
Pros: The room has a very hip vibe that is a hit with my kids ages 12-17. They love it! The hotel is just a block away from the cable car when we came back from a night at the downtown area. No hassle when we went around SF downtown and back. It is also within the activities from the pier. It is far enough from the main noise but near enough for a few minutes walk. Very accessible to all the great restaurants and activities around the area.
Pros: The staff was very friendly. From the maids to the doorman to the concierge everyone was concerned with trying to help us have the best time possible while we stayed there. Loved using the free loaner bikes to get around the wharf.
Pros: Nice room. Nice spot.
Cons: Valet was very expensive, They did not warn about the price up front. They were insistent we took a mini bar key even tho we didn't want one.
no nightlife around the location.
With a name like the Argonaut, it's impossible not to speak of this hotel in grand, almost legendary terms. Inspired by the Greek legend and Gold Rush-era adventurers, it's one of those rare places in San Francisco that truly merits a term like iconic. Located in the historic Haslett Warehouse, the Argonaut's home is a grand building built in 1907 of exposed brick, Douglas Fir beams and so much seaside character; you feel as though you can almost reach out and touch the colorful Barbary Coast past here. Our boutique hotel is also celebrated for an unsurpassed level of 4-Diamond service and amenities that provide an unforgettable destination experience. Couple that with a positively perfect location at San Francisco's most famous address: perched on the edge of the Bay at Fisherman's Wharf, and it’s easy to see why the hotel is so coveted. A recipient of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award for five years running.
Cons: I could hear everything from my room. Housekeeping, doors slamming, neighbors... I also think free wifi at hotels should be standard at this point - as it is at most hotels.
Pros: Hotel employees treat you like royalty.
Beautiful details all over the hotel. Classic history all over! Every president over the past 120 years has stayed at the hotel!
First Fairmont Hotel in the world, sets the standard for all Fairmont hotels!
Cons: VERY expensive parking. The hotel contracts with a parking service and valet is the only option. Prepare to spend over $70 a night to park at the hotel, but this is the only option unless you want to walk miles and miles.
Pros: Location and setting
Cons: Service was awful - restaurant had several issues.
Pros: The staff, rooms, comfy not over the top stuffy
Pros: Beautiful hotel, great service. Staff very helpful, especially Scott at front desk
Pros: Comfortable beds. Great location. Nice staff. Beautiful decor.
Cons: Poor soundproofing- we could hear everything next door. $65 parking and $14 wifi. "Courtyard view" misrepresents the huge noisy cooling type towers. Breakfast was 1 1/2 hour late. Dinner in the restaurant was loud and only mediocre.
Pros: I originally was trying to book this hotel via the QANTAS website however they had problems, so I rang the hotel direct and they were most helpful. Not only did they book me in, but they beat the original price and converted it for me to $AUD for my small brain.
I drove to SFO from LAX - on arrival bell hop service was excellent, didn't miss any bags or jackets that were in my car.
Stayed in the main building - Fairmont Queen room
Clean and tidy
Food selection and room service
Tonga room is a must see
Location very central to anywhere you'd like to be in SFO
Cons: The main building although grand, is a little dated. The refurbished rooms are good, but the particular room I was in the door didn't fully open because the wall gets in the way, so for room service the trolley couldn't be wheeled in, food had to be carried in from the door, and there wasn't really any table to put the food on, only the writing desk or the fold out mini bar.
I had to call for slippers
Cons: Parking at $65 a nite is outrageous There were no blankets in the room so I asked for some they came an hour later. I had to call 3 times to get service. Wifi was $14 a day not free. Coffee in the room was poor. U would think they could provide quality coffee. Paper was delivered to some rooms but not ours
Pros: The view is amazing in the linens were very comfortable
Cons: Valet parking is a bit steep in price
Pros: Room was large & I only had a queen. Bed, pillows & sheets all very good. Hotel is dated but some would call that charming.
Cons: My robe had stains on it.
Pros: Very luxurious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the management. When things went wrong, they were accommodating to benefit me for the inconveniences.
Cons: Upon checking in, they didn't have our room available until the next day. Not sure how that even happens, but after talking to the manager, he miraculously was able to get our room. I had an allergic reaction to the laundry detergent they use on the bed sheets and my eyes swelled up. I was told that if you have allergies, you need to call in advance to make sure they wash the bedding with hyper-allergenic detergent (they normally use Dawn). For the inconveniences, they did comp me my room service.
Pros: Reputation was indeed lived up to ...better than I expected
Cons: Cost of overnight parking
World renowned, Fairmont San Francisco presents an awe-inspiring picture of historic San Francisco. The grandeur of the luxury hotel atop Nob Hill coupled with its reputation for impeccable service promises a truly memorable experience. Central to the Financial District, Union Square and Fisherman's Wharf, the Fairmont Hotel is located at the only spot in San Francisco where each of the City's cable car lines meet.
Pros: The room was smaller than what I'm used to, but very comfortable. The bed was plush, with high-quality bedding. Good shower and toiletries, fast elevators, comfortable lobby
Cons: The walls are quite thin, and because the toilets are vacuum toilets, they are louder than average toilets, and you can hear everyone flushing. The bathroom door is also a stylish (but not noise-blocking) glass barn door, so if you are sharing the room with someone, they will hear everything that is happening in the bathroom. There is a $25 fee to use the gym and pool, which I was not aware of when I booked the room.
Pros: I was very happy with the hotel, location in the city, the service & the staff.
Cons: I couldn't stay longer.
Cons: fees for everything including gym and even moving anything in the mini bar. grout in shower old and stained, toilet off center and wiggled.
Cons: They charge you extra for the health club, which is not that great - I found that to be offensive!
Pros: I found the staff very friendly and accommodating. I would easily recommend the hotel to others.
Pros: The bathroom was nice with shower and tub. The indoor pool and Hot Tub were great for relaxing after visiting the sites. There was $25 per room charge for use of the pool/hot tub but this was small price to pay for this feature.
Cons: Aggressive panhandlers all over the city.
Cons: Fees for Internet and gym. Additional fees for more than two adults.
Pros: The room was quite nice. The staff was very curteous and helpful. The location is convienent. The price was reasonable.
Cons: The pool was only available as part of the health club which annoyed me.
Pros: Beautiful interior design
Cons: Expensive vehicle stay rate. Small room
Pros: Excellent location
Good pillows, bed & linens
Cons: I had a queen room, very small
No remote control for the TV
Long, long checkin/check out process.
Gym in not complimentary
Pros: Great stay at the Hotel Nikko, definitely pay $25 for access to the pool and spa.
The Asian-inspired Hotel Nikko San Francisco is located downtown, a 4-minute walk from Union Square and the designer shops of Westfield San Francisco Centre. Guests can catch a cable car 2 blocks south, and both Curran Theatre and American Conservatory Theater are right around the corner.
Pros: Comfy bed, soft sheets, nice view of city, terrific AC and excellent lounge.
Cons: Staff was not accommodating for what was promised. Staff was also rude.
Cons: No free wifi and same type of breakfast everyday
Pros: The location
Cons: A 4 star Marriott hotel without room service? In San Francisco? Get your act together. What a dated American hospitality company. Will not stay there again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone
Cons: No swimming pool
Pros: The value for the money is really good!
It was clean, spacious, well decorated. We ensured to get two beds in the bedroom and we got them!
Pros: Hotel was clean
Cons: We booked a room for two night with a king size bed upon arrival we were not told they didn't have a room for us instead sent us to a room with double beds wouldn't accommodate us claiming they had "no more rooms available "... next day had issues relocating our luggage to next room. Parking was absurd $70 dollars a night ?? Overrated
Pros: Location is excellent.
Cons: Big hotel where you get lost. Looks and feel old, needs a major renovation.
Pros: The room was clean, the bed was amazing, location was walking distance to all things downtown, I felt safe with my young son, easy express checkout.
Cons: No room service, for the money we spent I would've liked to see a free breakfast, the cost of parking is insane (it is SF though), no pool.
Pros: Really nice lobby, rooms where clean
Cons: The wifi wasn't free, they charged you to use a computer for $.40 per minute. I really needed a workstation. No hot tube or pool for $400 per night. Will not go back.
Pros: Great location great front desk people beautiful view
Cons: Drink left in room from previous occupant
Pros: We enjoyed the Marriott Marquis hotel very much , but the valet only parking is a bit spends. Thank goodness there is another parking garage one block over. Y

Pros: Perfect place to stay for all the important sights
Trolley stops in front and goes right down to
Fisherman's Wharf for great food and
Terrific views, Lori's Diner is a few doors
away with great food, Walgreens on the
Pros: It was a very nice family hotel with an interesting history. Well located right off Union Square. The hotel staff were all very nice. Though we didn't take advantage of them, the bar and restaurant both seemed nice.
Cons: The weather was cool and the hotel had the boiler running. Our room must have been 80 degrees and no way to shut the heat off. We were on the top floor and the hotel staff offered to move us to a lower (cooler) room. The second floor room was just as warm. The rooms really need local control of temperature.
Pros: Staff very nice and professional
Cons: Rooms are just too small especially for price.
Pros: Nice historic hotel in a great location. Friendly and informative staff. Room was small but we got one of the rooms on the top floor and the ceiling was about 15 feet high. It made the room seem much larger. There is no A/C in the room but it was comfortable with the ceiling fan and the window open. I liked hearing the sounds of the city in the evening. The city "noise" did quiet down during the night and had no problems sleeping.
This hotel was recommended to me by my boss. He stays there every year for a reunion with college friends. I have not problem passing on the recommendation.
Pros: Bedroom was clean, furniture appeared recent. Location was reasonably convenient.
Cons: Room was claustrophobic - barely room to walk around bed. Paint was fresh, but clearly covering 100 years of obvious wear. Musty smell. No air conditioning - couldn't get room quite cool/dry enough to be comfortable. Bathroom was dingy, marked up and had seen better days, and it was hard to squeeze into toilet between sink and wall, even then, wedged in by shoulder-level toilet paper dispenser. Plumbing noises from adjacent units were loud. Weirdly shaped closet with mismatched hangars that were falling apart.
Pros: The staff was great. They were very friendly and helpful. The location was also fantastic and the noon check out gave us a little additional time to explore the city without worrying about our bags. I would definitely recommend.
Pros: Last minute booking. Great price! Pretty extraordinary. Prime location!
Pros: Reasonably priced, friendly and accommodating staff, coffee/tea available 24/7. Great wifi, mini fridge in room. Great water pressure. They updated all the right things.
Cons: Coffee maker/microwave in room would have been an improvement, but not a sticking point. The service at Luques can be slow, but the food is good.
Pros: Great location, good price, comfortable, professional, courteous staff.
We had a room on the top floor, which was clean and quiet, with a ceiling fan rather than AC. Despite typically being a light sleeper, and expecting issues with street noise, I slept better there than I have anywhere in years, not really sure why (could have been the 12+ miles walking each day in wonderful San Francisco).
The hotel is in Union Square, with its incredible shopping and conference centers. Chinatown is about .5 miles away (and a very steep hill), and Fisherman's Wharf about 1.5 miles; a fun walk if you're up for it (but Uber is fast an inexpensive, especially the pool option).
If you're looking for a plush, modern American experience, this isn't it. If you're looking for an affordable, comfortable, centralized location to explore SF, or attend a business conference, this is a great choice.
Cons: Rooms are small, no air-conditioning (though not really needed) and there was no real work surface for a notebook. Not a place to get work done. Bathroom was dated, but functional.
There's no fitness center in the hotel but you get free use of a health club around the corner with lots of good gear and yoga classes, which were great. There's no coffee in the room, but there's a 24 hour a day brew available in the lobby with cookies I found impossible to resist. Wi-fi is free and fast.
Pros: Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff was kind and attentive. Location was perfect. Concierge was helpful. Absolutely would stay here again when visiting San Francisco.
Cons: Breakfast wasn't included, but actually was delicious in the cafe downstairs.
Pros: Great value! Great coffee/tea/water and they extended our checkout by 2 hours to accommodate our plans. Very nice. And BOGO cocktails for a night!
Cons: Room is small but doable (without children).
Pros: Great location for shopping and restaurants. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Complimentary coffee/tea, cookies, fruit, & lemon ice-water in lobby.
This historic 15-story hotel is on San Francisco's Powell Street Cable Car line. Union Square, Moscone Center, Chinatown, TransAmerica Tower, the Financial District, and the Ferry Building are also within easy reach.
Pros: The room was spotless. The front desk was friendly and helpful. Neighborhood was fun
Cons: No breakfast
Pros: In the heart of the Castro district. Newly renovated room was spotlessly clean. Free parking a big plus.
Pros: Great place to stay if u wanna be in the castro,
Consistently comfortable and clean!

This hotel was 3 stars and a place to sleep. It met my intentions and needs for a 1 night stay with an excellent price for the bay area! :)
Pros: We simply needed a place to stay between Napa Valley and Marin Headlands. This is a great location with brunch, yoga/cycle studios, juice shops and more all within walking distance. It's right near the highway- perfect!
Pros: close to the ferry
Cons: Very cheaply put together compared to other Marriot Courtyards I've stayed at.
Pros: The service from the staff; front desk, housekeeping. All of your people there are friendly and enthusiastic to provide exceptional service
Cons: The distance from the front desk to my room. Even after agreeing to give me a room near the lobby, my only request, I was given a roomote than halfway across the hotel, past the conference center. Also it's time to upgrade the bathroom to glass showers
Pros: Very courteous staff on at the reception
Cons: Very rude blond bar woman. Passive aggressive attitude, careless, disinterested, unattentive.
Pros: Close to everything we wanted to do.
Cons: Not exactly the easiest of places to find but once located all ok- in very congested area.
We spent very little time there - got in late, slept, got up and left. Good experience overall, but really didn't use any of the hotel's amenities other than the bed and the shower.
Pros: Comfy and quiet
Cons: No included breakfast for the price paid for the room
Pros: The staff was very helpful.
Cons: I think was great all around.
Pros: Extremely friendly and courteous staff. Free wifi and parking.
Cons: Room had a slightly odd smell (like heavy perfume).
Pros: Quiet, clean, good direct room access, attractive surroundings, convenient location
Cons: room rate was at about the limit of what I could comfortably afford to pay.
Cons: I booked two rooms for my family. They arrived before me and the front desk insisted that there was only one room booked - although it looked pretty clear that there were two rooms under two different names on the reservation. (The hotel was not full.)
generally excellent place to stay - central to Marin and easy trip to SF either by ferry or car.
Cons: navigating television - could be easier with broader premium choices.
Pros: Location, quiet, well appointed and friendly/helpful staff.

Pros: Nicely renovated, but clearly an old original building, in a good way. Room is small but comfortable. It's in the middle of downtown, so street noise is loud, but that goes for every hotel in the middle of the city.
Pros: Location was excellent, my room was clean and felt modern even though the rooms were obviously older.
Pros: Galleria Park staff were friendly, welcoming, and accomodating. The room was bright, clean, and comfortable.
Cons: The staff did get a little frazzled at the front desk with the large volume of guests for the weekend. There was only one HDMI cable available for the entire hotel and it was taken for the duration of my stay.
Pros: Great location, very helpful and accommodating staff.
Cons: The room was a little on the small side for the price.
Pros: Loved the complimentary wine hour and friendly staff!
Pros: Quite, clean, comfortable.
Cons: Charged sales tax for honor bar when we never used the honor bar.
Pros: All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Modern decor, well renovated. Outdoor park area was a nice touch.
Cons: Room was small. Space was tight. Since it was just me, this wasn't a problem.
Pros: It is a good hotel in a good location. The price I paid was higher for the standard of the hotel.
Stylish, comfortable and friendly, Galleria Park Hotel is an urban oasis and the perfect pied-
Pros: Concierge excellent, skyline lounge very nice, staff very courteous.
Cons: Seating area in room very limited. Too small for price.
Pros: I had a really great first time experience at this hotel. One of the things that I liked about this hotel is that you don't feel like you're staying in a San Francisco boutique hotel (aka tiny, narrow walkways, tiny lobby's). I've been to SF a number of times and stayed in boutique hotels and after a while they get kind of eh. The JW Marriott was fantastic. It was clean, in a great location, and every one was helpful. The bathroom was very luxe, which is why I chose this hotel versus the Marroitt. I used the gym in the morning and it was clean and had your standard requirements for a gym. I would def recommend this hotel to others!
Cons: I was a little bummed that our drain didn't close. I wanted to take a bubble bath but wasn't able to. I would have complained but we were only staying for one night
Pros: wonderful service from all employees

Pros: The location was great and my room was quiet.
Cons: There was a bit of mildew odor in the bathroom. If not for that I would have given an excellent rating, instead of good, for my stay.
Pros: Close to everything in Union Square, clean and nice-looking inside.
Cons: ...but that translates to a little over $300 a night, which isn't really worth it. Avoid it during the conventions in town.
Pros: Good arrival and wait staff were both friendly and efficient. The door man was great and the team inside were extremely helpful. I have stayed in other SF hotels in the past and Hotel Zelos is a nice addition to the city. City hotel rooms can sometimes be small but the rooms at Zelos are very spacious!
I also would like to say thank you for an overall smooth and fun experience! From booking on line with Kayak to speaking directly with the hotel, to checking in & out, everyone was super friendly and consistently would go out of their way to be helpful.
Cons: Mixed message on parking After speaking with associates on two separate occasions.
Then the confusion in the garage, mind you I thought I lost my ticket to return however I unpacked it when I arrived back home this evening. There was a problem between the hand written sign in log from the valet and the printed report from the front desk and the hotel's portion of valet claim check system also did not work. I retrieved my vehicle because I brought the only two matching keys and I have matching handmade key chains attached.
Breakfast table with two nice chairs rather than a rolling office chair. That was weird. But it was also SF PRIDE weekend so who cares!
Pros: Front desk personnel and bell service were exceptionally helpful.
Rooms were nicely appointed - largest TV I've ever had in a hotel room.
Central location right at Powell St. BART Station allowed me to get there quickly from Oakland Airport.
Pros: The staff was very friendly. The driver to the airport (George in the Towncar) was very courteous.
Cons: Need a coffee maker in room. Not a deal breaker though of course.
Pros: Room was great. But we were placed next to the ice machine....the wall there sounded paper thin throughout the night as guest needed ice.
Cons: Being stuck next to an ice machine at 2 am
Cons: Windows face directly into office building just 10ft away. People in the office can see directly into your room
Pros: Had a great time friendly staff great restaurant
Cons: That nobody answered the phone at the restaurant for me to make a reservation fri night
Pros: The location of the hotel was excellent. There were many nice dining, shopping and entertainment options very close by. It is also very close to a BART station so getting there from the airport is very easy. San Francisco is a surprisingly easy city to drive in as well, though parking is very expensive.
Cons: Though the bed was very comfortable, it was a bit squeaky. Also, being on Market street means that there is a bit of noise but it's not excessive.
Pros: The Palomar is in a great location, the staff is very friendly, and the rooms are nicely decorated. Beds are OK. Restaurant (Bad Habit?) onsite had a nice quality breakfast which was pretty reasonable.
Pros: The service at the San Francisco Palomar was excellent. The front desk staff and doormen deserve top marks. They were helpful in every circumstance from procuring a taxi to giving directions or making suggestions regarding nearby attractions and walking distances. The hotel was clean, the restaurant was superb....fantastic breakfast! And the wait staff was superior. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and look forward to that happening in the near future. Hats off to the Palomar staff!!!!!!!
Pros: The Palomar was clean, quiet and comfortable and in a great location.
Cons: The woman working in the evening checking in guests needs more training. Either that or maybe she was having a bad night.

Pros: Large lapping swimming pool was a nice surprise
Pros: Bed was great. Room big. Good breakfast. Huge pool. Right off freeway. Would stay again.
Cons: No elevator. Sink/vanity not enclosed in bathroom. No bar.
Pros: For several years we have been using Best Western Corte Madera Inn as a favored place to stay when visiting the Bay Area. We like the shopping that is convenient to its location. San Francisco is just a hop away down the 101 and across the Golden Gate. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, also well appointed. Staff is courteous and helpful, and the free breakfast at the restaurant next door is really good.
Cons: Some of the rooms sometime seem a little dated, but this is not a deterrent to us. It's a great location.
Pros: Convenience, price
Cons: Motel-style set-up.
Pros: Front desk people were great we got in a little late. They kept the pool open for us which was a lot of fun. Then we relaxes by the fire pit.
Great hotel just outside of San Fran.
Cons: Rooms were quite big and comfortable. Many extras on the propert in an excellent location.
Cons: Seedy, bad smelling rooms. Did not feel clean. Never again.

Pros: Great location! Near the bay, ferry, shops, restaurants, cafe, small fishing pier for the kids, walking path and grocery store. Views of the city and GG Bridge. Need any fishing tips for you and the kids? Talk to Ron at the grocery store meat department, the guy is local and a great resource.
Pros: Wine and nibbles
Cons: People in the next room had a party on Sunday night. Called the front desk 3x... 10:30, 11:00, 12:30. Finally they did something at 1245. People left, but 2 drunk girls kept on yapping until 1:30 am. Never again.
Cons: Sounded like I was in an apartment complex. Stomping on floor above started at around 5am. 0 water pressure. Just a little dribble coming out of the shower head. Did not get a good nights rest at all.
Pros: The Inn was great for breakfast and late evening - I was not expecting that, and the food and the service was so good that I did not eat anywhere else.
Outside the lobby is a very nice seating area for meeting friends.
The room and bath were spacious. It was quieter than I expected. I was near the ice machine, either nobody else used it, or the room was insulated enough that the noise didn't come through.
The pillows - usually I ask for extras, not necessary at The Lodge.
Cons: The pool was lovely, there wasn't enough seating - a group of non-swimmers had taken over the cabana, as I was alone, I had to join a family group, which is okay in some countries, in California it felt like I was imposing.
Pros: Location, fireplaces, front desk staff.
Cons: Old building with loud A/C units, and fan. Housekeeping was moving furniture above us and continuously banging the floor at 8 AM.

Pros: The location was great - walkable to boutique shops and restaurants, plus the marina. The hotel room was clean, offered a walk in closet and had an updated bathroom. The bed was comfortable too. They offered a year round heated pool and continental breakfast as well. This was our first stay, but it won't be our last!
Pros: I enjoyed the helpfulness of staff. The rooms are well-appointed and adaptively, attractively renovated upscale from the old motor court it once was. It's clever, creative and a nice change of pace.
Cons: It's a bit noisey---but to be expected in that it is old construction and all access in and out involves noise.

Pros: Loved the view of Alcatraz, the GGBridge to the west, parklike setting all around, marinas within an easy walk, on site cafe (separate from hostel kitchen & breakfast), very nice staff.
Cons: Bathrooms & showers could use an update.
Pros: Great location, great view of Alcatraz and GG Bridge, easy walk to marinas, parks, public transportation and sights, nice cafe on site.
Cons: Fog horn woke us during the night but it's SF in the summer, so fog is inevitable. Bathrooms could use an update.
Pros: Location and quiet
Cons: Mattresses are terrible, rooms are tight, bathrooms are so-so.
