They didn't have the car that I reserved and paid for. They wanted to upsell me on a SUV they had. Why do I need to pay more when they didn't have what I reserved? They try playing games by asking for ridiculously priced insurance and deposit.Reviewed Sep 8 2022

Our flight was delayed so instead of picking up the car at noon, we arrived at 1:30, and were informed that our car had been “given away” and there were no cars for us to rent. The dude basically just shrugged and said there was nothing he could do to help when we asked what we were supposed to do without a car. We then had to scramble to rent with another company (and of course, same day reservations are more expensive.) We provided our flight info on the rental reservation, so it was easy to see that we were delayed. (Also, 90 minutes late seems like an extremely short window to assume someone isn’t picking up their rental regardless.) The whole thing felt like some kind of weird scam because the other rental car vendors at the airport descended on us and tried to get us to rent a car at an insane rate (one woman quote me $150 per day. I went online and got a reservation for $150 for 4 days.) it was super frustrating and unnecessarily stressful. I will definitely never rent from Sixt ever again, and will actively encourage friends and family to avoid them. Still trying to figure out how to get the insurance refunded..Reviewed Nov 29 2021

Pros:good price, the staff tries to push insurance but I didn't take it. Transport to and from the airport was easy.Cons:the car had a cracked windshield and many scratches and only 1/4 of a tank of gas and then wouldn't give us a new one.Reviewed Jun 3 2021

Cons:Even though I already had an 11-day reservation and insurance covered by my own personal policy, they tried forcing me to either accept a $2000 deposit taken on my card or scam me into getting their insurance which was twice the amount per day of the rental itself. Given those choices, I refused the rental altogether and made alternate arrangements.Reviewed May 27 2021
