The biggest problem is the bait-and-switch between the reservation price (which was supposed to be $33 total) and the actual amount I needed to pay including required insurance ($180). I have rented many cars and I do understand that, outside the U.S., I sometimes need to add insurance beyond my own personal car insurance and coverage provided by my credit card. But it shouldn't be almost 6 times the quoted price. Kayak really should ban this kind of behavior onits platform. Additionally, the inside-the-store shop was disorganized and confusing. (I live in Mexico and speak Spanish, so this isn't a language issue.) The woman outside who processed the drop-off was friendly and helpful. The cost of the rental was reasonable. I had also paid $165 for third party vehicle insurance. But once I showed up to pick up the vehicle, the mandatory liability insurance was over twice the cost of the vehicle rental cost. Plus, if you don't take their collision insurance, they require a hold on your credit card for thousands of dollars. Will never rent from them again.Reviewed Sep 18 2022

Picking up the car was a very long process. Has to endure the sales of signing up for presentation to reduce the price of the local insurance .... $425/week for a minimum coverage!!! .... although it seemed to be negotiable. They put a hold onto my visa for 14,000usd for insurance reasons. The car was returned and the hold removed but they charged my visa 14,000usd at an exchange rate that was not good. Then they instantly refunded my 14,000usd same day all after I returned the car. I lost over $1000 Canadian in that transaction that should have only been a hold and my card never charged. I can’t get ahold of the Europe car Mexico and I have emailed europcar and am waiting for a reply. I also sent all my forms to QEEQ for a dispute. Pros:drop off was easy and when shuttle was going late, the guy offered to drive me to terminal, but then the shuttle showed up.Cons:1. They forced me to buy the more expensive insurance. They wouldn't rent the car unless I did. Another lady refused and they let her go, so my rental ended up costing 3x. 2. It took forever to get the car because they kept forcing the up-sell, while the family was waiting. It felt like a mafia run rental agency. 3. The car didn't have a front license plate and instead had this big piece of paper pasted to front windshield that obstructed passenger view.Reviewed Jan 2 2020

Cons:Terrible service! They said it was mandatory to buy their insurance and that my card wasn’t enough. I asked Juan (supervisor) to show me where in their policy it stated this and he went to reach for it but then he said that the paperwork was moved by someone and he couldn’t show me. The folder with all their company policies was right in front of us but he refused to open it and show me. A total scam by these workers there!! Cons:I never got the car, they tried to get me for more money when I arrived. I have rented several times and used third party insurance to cover the car. They insisted that the purchased insurance would not cover anything, they really tried to scam me. They started quoting insurance in the excess of $1300 until I was fed up with their approach and they tried to offer me coverage for$100 walking out the door.
