Pros:We rented on the French side of GVA, which was a bit hard to find. There was a wait at the counter, but the staff member was very helpful to us. There were detailed instructions on avoiding the Swiss toll roads, and finding the rental return, which was much appreciated.
Cons:The car was parked in an awkward/dark spot in the garage, so we could not look at the car very completely when we started the rental.

Cons:I regularly rent cars both in the UK and abroad and so I'm fully aware of the requirement and options of damage waivers & extra payment to redue insurance excess to Zero. This is my first booking with Kayak & Sixt and the level of extras required is excessive. My original booking was for £240 and this increased to £500 with extras. Some were valid such as an additional driver & damage waiver however charging extra for road tax & compulsory winter tyres & premium location fees is clearly taking advantage. Not to mention having to pay for tyre and glass cover over and above the full damage waiver. Never ever ever again, Ever.
Pros:The staff were friendly, car was very clean and good quality.
Cons:Sixt offer you to fill out all the driver details online to speed up the pick up process. Yet, at pick up they still had to review all the documents and it almost seems the data provided online went unnoticed.
Pros:At the pick up the stuff made an extra effort to facilitate us the rentals (we were right after office hours Sunday).

Sixt denied us the car rental because I had my driver’s license and confirmation of renewal by separate provincial document. We were forced to enter with a alternative car rental agency for triple the price without any issue as to the form of such documents.

Pros:The Citroen Cactus that I rented was a good car it performed well on the roads and it was good on gas mileage. The staff at Sixt were helpful and courteous.
Cons:I hate the expensive zero liability insurance that they charge it doubled the price of the rental on top of what I paid to Kayak. This was way too expensive. I can understand a couple of hundred dollars for insurance but really 500-600 dollar more was insane. I know rental car insurance in Europe is expensive for travelers but this was way out of bounds. I will not be using Sixt again for this reason, I had a better experience with Europcar.
Pros:As always with Sixt at GVA airport, (Swiss side) the service was spot on and it all went flawlessly. This time, I got a car that was brand new.
Cons:Peugeot 2008. What a bad design. I could not fit in.
