Cons:I scheduled a pickup at 8 pm. Arrived to find the location closed. It took an hour and a half and five phone calls to speak to a human, only to be told that I would have to pick up the car the next morning. Screwed up my travel plans. The customer service operator said that it is a known problem with their reservation system; inexcusable! Also, the car smelled of cigarette smoke, and had two chips in the windshield that they didn't note when I picked it up.

Pros:I really appreciated the Staff, at both pick up and drop off, they were attentive , personable, helpful, and generally a pleasure to interact with. The vehicle met our needs for 5 people, comfortable, gas efficient, exactly as described.

Cons:I was forced to cancel my reservation two months ago because of Covid 19. I performed the cancellation on line and followed the correct protocols. Contacting Sixt customer service regarding even a partial refund was arduous, difficult and unproductive. It’s actually laughable to receive an email asking how my experience was after I cancelled the reservation indicating a disturbing lack of internal communication. To this day, there has been no follow up and no one ever reached out to me regarding a refund. I’m extremely disappointed, I’m out over $300 through no fault of my own and as a result I will no longer utilize Sixt for any future trips, and will advise my fellow business travelers to go elsewhere for their car rental needs.

Pros:Nothing, Never got the car because they closed early and my flight was delayed. They charged me for 3 nights when I had to rent from Budget since they were still open.

Cons:The car I was given was very dirty. So bad, actually, that I had to run it through a car wash to be able to see clearly out of the windows. There is hardly any interaction at check-in, and I didn't realize until it was too late that I was not offered a toll-pass. This option is very useful on the east coast, and it really slowed my trip having to stop and pay cash at each toll booth. Lastly, GPS mapping can not find the rental drop-off location. I drove around the airport twice and then finally stopped to call. But the phone # takes you to someone in Europe, who then has to try and get you to someone in the US. Needless to say, I almost missed my flight.
