Cons:There was not an actual Budget location but it was in a Hyatt - that would have been nice to know ahead of the time. There was no place to park, so I kept circling while trying to contact Budget. Of course, it was impossible to get anyone in the actual Philadelphia location on the phone, and the call center didn't have a clue what to do. After way too long trying to figure out what to do, I just parked illegally. It was extremely frustrating. I don't understand why the information needed was not told to me prior.

Pros:I reserved a standard car, but received a free upgrade due to low inventory. Everyone was very nice (when we were finally able to get assistance).
Cons:From beginning to end, the Budget experience at PHL was pretty awful. We waited for over 30 minutes at the terminal for a shuttle to arrive (other rental car shuttles were arriving consistently every 5 minutes or so), and even tried calling the counter to see if one was on the way (no one answered the phone). After being sick of waiting, we ended up hitching a ride on the Dollar shuttle. After a disturbance from a disgruntled renter, we were finally helped, but their registers were SO SLOW! I was not asked any questions about coverage or gas fill options, just told that I was being upgraded due to low inventory and instructed on how to find my car. The outside of the car had just been washed, but the inside could've used a quick vacuum. The return experience wasn't much better, as there was only 1 person working check-in AND the receipt printer was down. Thankfully I arrived early enough to not be negatively impacted by the 20 minute return process. Needless to say, I likely will not use Budget at PHL again.

Cons:the checking clear was slow, when i when to the parking lot to get the car another couple was already inside the car and said that was there second car the first one did not had keys (so they gave the same car to 2 different people), walk around the car and the rear bumper was damage, when back again they give me another car with 1700 miles but the car smelled like a cigarette ashtray, it was 2 in the morning and i had a wedding in the morning and the line to get another car was too long, took the car the following day to get the smell out to a car wash they did the best, still stinks, called customer service they just said bring it back we give you something else, i was 2 hours away from the airport, when i return the car i advised the person on the drop off area, i guess she was a smoker because she did not care, it really sucks because my wife and son suffer from allergies and asthma and that smell was horrible, had to drive 5 days with the windows down regardless of the weather or area, not fun driving with the windows down in the highway.

Pros:The price offered was excellant.
Cons:Budget places a hold of $200 on a card even though my rental was for $34. If using a debit card Budget runs a credit check using Equifax. This agency is the most subjective and unfair of the lot! I have $8000 in my checking and a credit rating of over 700 by all the other agencies but Equifax. Budget was unable to rent me a car as I no longer use credit cards, only debit. I was stranded at the PHL airport for 4 hours trying to get another rental car for under $250 for my one way oneday rental. I ended up renting from Enterprise for 3 times the rate but Great service with no problem with my cards or credit rating. Enterprise will gett my business from now on! Budget, not so much.
