10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a wonderful experience. Immaculate facility with a spectacular view of the Smith River and Pacific Ocean. Delicious hand prepared breakfast served by the hosts Richard and Ana.
Cons: Would have preferred an ocean view room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had such a lovely stay here! The house is beautiful, with fantastic views of the river, beach, sunset, and local wildlife (seals, pelicans, herons) from the lounge/dining room. Ana and Richard were really friendly and attentive, and the Chinese breakfast they cooked was absolutely delicious! Our room was spacious and clean, and the whole house felt very tranquil. The property is in a residential area, but Brookings is a short drive away, and has restaurants, shops, etc and a small harbour. We would definitely love to stay here again, and would recommend.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The view was amazing. The hosts were very nice, even made usa to go box for breakfast because we were leaving early!
Cons: There was a language barrier and we did not know how to turn on the heat. I think a written list of instructions would be beneficial. We didn’t want to disturb at a late hour.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The Chinese breakfast was unique and delicious! The view stunning and the quiet was relaxing. It’s a great stop if you’re traveling down the coast.
Cons: Dinner options in the town are limited and not very good, but that’s not the property’s fault.

Pros: Was upgraded to a bigher room which was clean and spacious with a view of the ocean. Beach is in walking distance .
Cons: $10 voucher for resturant was inserted with the key which we did not see. Would have been better if the receptionist had told us when we checked in .
5.0 Okay
Pros: The hotel had a large room. They provided a $10 voucher for use on their property with my reservation, which was unexpected and appreciated.
Cons: I was expecting a bit more for the price. The room was not substantially better than rooms I have been in in the same area, the difference being that other rooms of comparable quality cost significantly less. It wasn't a bad experience, just overpriced.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable, big rooms

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nice enough room for a good price. Man at the front desk made the check in nice and simple. Wasnt too talkative or friendly though... it was pretty late - in his defense. Kind of makes you feel like an inconvenience though. Place was nice at 1st glance.
Cons: Tv didnt work. Heater didnt work. Phone didnt work. Alarm clocked unplugged. Hotel staff next door kept coming in and out all night- not usually a big deal but the door was so extreemly squeaky, made it a bid hard to fall asleep.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Looks like its recently refurbished so its the best time to enjoy this place when it's still new, crisp and clean. I stayed in October 2019 and if you are looking for a nice hotel in this area, this one is very reasonably priced and exceeds expectations. Clean bedsheets and pillows, nice and clean bedroom, AC was working well. Heating and cooling, Bathroom was clean and fresh. bedside clock, USB charging ports, TV. Free parking for customers. I loved it.
Cons: Nothing was bad except breakfast closes too early at 9 so I missed the breakfast because I was late. But morning staff was helpful enough to let us have cups of coffee and helped kids. I forgot the name. She was a young lady.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Some brekfest was some overdone somenot cooked but it was ok.

Cons: The bathroom wasn't clean. Several hairs left over from the previous guests. Breakfast was only restocked on request even though the personel was sitting next to the tiny breakfast area.

Cons: Not many guests but we were pretty packed together rather than spread out. Couldn’t even park in front of our room. They could have left one, or two empty rooms between us.

7.0 Good
Pros: Location was great. The staff was not overly friendly other than the nice lady who checked us in. We would stay here again, but a little more attention to detail would put it at the top of our list as the location right on the water can't be better.

9.6 Excellent
Cons: Staff was fantastic, hotel was nice but, dont book through booking.com they screwed up our booking and treated the hotel manager poorly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The view once you get past the ugly rv park was nice. The beach being right next to the hotel was awesome.
Cons: Just the ugly rv park. And the housekeeping kept knocking on our door after we told her we weren't ready for her yet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The employees were great! The room was better than expected. We will stay there again.
1.0 Poor
Pros: I was drawn to stay here by the location and the free EV charging, as well as generally good ratings. Despite many EV parking spots blocked by regular cars, we were able to charge. The free breakfast was sparse, but better than nothing.
Cons: Partner and I have found bedbug bites following this stay. Called hotel, and they said they regularly spray for pests and would "look into it" but seemed fairly unconcerned. Overall this is a tired, dated motel with an "ocean view" of an RV park. Fail!

Pros: towel rack was unique
Cons: dirty windows, RV view

Cons: The parking was pretty limited due to some shipping containers taking up 4 spaces.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Room was clean and they had a good breakfast.
Cons: Room backed up to the street and loud. Not the best ocean view as stated. I think this room was overpriced for what we got and on top of that, we were charged an extra $30 for our dogs that I was not expecting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: good, like hard cooked eggs for protein, brought my own granola used their milk, liked the sunny room and waffles liked the deep hot spa near office. opened door to freshen its air. Love the easy walk to harbor or across street to beach. And LOVED a fabulous multi hued early sunrise.
Cons: The traffic turning from hwy next to motel is risky for folks w/ or without dogs crossing the street. Trucks towing boat trailers, cars come in fast any time of day and at dark dawn. Wish I'd thought to trade one pillow for better fit w/ my neck.
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The prior house keeper left soiled wash cloths. I was in need of making notes and couldn’t find a pen or note paper as well as no shampoo

Pros: Lots of druggies not a safe area! Loud and noisy from Taco Bell. We were put in the back where Taco Bell was! Horrible 5 nights and days.
7.9 Good
Pros: We checked in incredibly late due to a power outage in the hotel we had booked in N. California. We back tracked over three hours to find an open hotel. The hotel owner was incredibly kind and sweet even though we woke her. Decent rate for a last minute check in. They had a live plant in the room, which was amazing to see. Looks like they put new TVs in recently. Nice touch. Comfy bed!
Cons: No laundry at the hotel that we could find, but laundromat down the block. Ice machine didn’t seem to be working. We tried to use heat and a/c but the system didn’t respond. 7.0 Good
Pros: Really nice rooms. They have really update the building and rooms. Pet friendly is a big plus for us. We include him like family. Hard to find a place that's pet friendly on top of having a low pet fee.
Cons: Still feel like it's a little sketchy of an area. But never felt unsafe.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, very clean room, convenient location, restaurant next door.
Cons: Walls were a little thin and there was no heater in the bathroom. I live in the tropics so heat is important. The main room was comfortable.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Pool, great location, room had a fridge and freezer, microwave. We just hung out on the beach then warmed up in the hot tub. Would recommend this place and stay there again .
Cons: There was no "do not disturb" sign so every morning we were woken up by the room attendant banging on the door, I don't think she could hear me say "we're fine, thanks" so more banging while I ran around for clothes to open it and tell her. It wasn't super early, but I'm up all night due to work so I'm not a morning person! But they were friendly when I opened the door and just asked for a coffee serving refill.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Shower was small
7.5 Good
Pros: I like that it was clean everything was fairly new. BUT there were some mystery stains on the comforter I checked the sheets all sound and they were fine. The looked clean but the fuzzy blue blanket needed some love. Honestly it looked like jiz stains. We just didn’t use it I was too tired to complain and the room was really warm so it wasn’t necessary.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean and aesthetically pleasing room. Excellent front desk staff.
Cons: The shower head was too low. I'm tall.

Pros: Location, nice suite
Cons: Staff and customer service was absolutely atrocious.
1.0 Poor
Pros: The staff was awful! Everyone wears plain clothes. They are all kids that don't care or know about service. They advertise a restaurant, but we sat for 20 mins. and couldn't get service. Free breakfast was 2 waffle makers and 12 people in line.Smokey room
Cons: We had to drive off site for Dinner because of lack of service. We had to drive off site for breakfast because we didn't want to wait 30 mins. for a waffle maker or eat cereal with milk on the counter still in a plastic jug. These people are a joke!!!!!!!
1.0 Poor
Pros: I want a refund! Room wasn't cleaned. Dirty bedding, dirty towels on floor. When I told the front desk the man was completely rude. Said either you can give us an hour to clean it or your other choice is go somewhere else and have fun everywhere is booked
Cons: Location was good
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was wonderful. Great view. Good location to town and other venues.
Cons: The restaurant was pretty spendy and had a problem with our order. Argued about what we had ordered. I also thought the prices at the motel convenience store were high.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location was the best in town - right on the coast, beautiful views, easy access into the redwood areas.
Cons: The restaurant staffing was thin. Breakfast was ok, but the eating area was filthy and no one there to clean floors, tables. Family in room above us allowed children to romp on the beds and floors until late at night - which says something about the c

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: View
Cons: I made a reservation. They had my name and info but no reservation for me so I had to get a more expensive room. It was not good for the price. Bed was not comfortable. Bathtub and shower was old. Not good water pressure out of shower. We accidentally left our personal good pillows and they never contacted us telling us so. Bonus for them!!! I will never go back there or suggest them to anyone. Quiet the opposite. They should of offered us a discount since obviously they screwed up. Why would they have my personal information but no reservation???

4.2 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Advertised as queen room with kitchen. Kitchen consisted of counter top, cabinets and very small sink. Tried to save money being that my grandmother just passed and figured with a kitchen we could cook our own meals. Complained to front desk and was told I could get a smaller room, i guess the one i reserved was the biggest. Room was also missing the towel bar (brackets were there), missing toilet paper holder. Toilet paper was placed on top of toilet. Will not be staying there again.

Pros: I was really impressed with this Motel 6; this was the nicest one I ever stayed at. The beds were comfortable, room was clean, and walking distant to the beach.
Cons: There is a foghorn that goes off all night long. This can be heard throughout Crescent City, not just this Motel. I was still able to sleep good.

Pros: mediocre

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Located near local attractions. Clean and reasonably priced. Cordial staff. Dog friendly.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The location was fine.
Cons: It stated there would be air-conditioning in our rooms. There was none. We also rang them and asked for our rooms to be close to each other and on the ground floor, as I have just finished 18 months of intense treatment for cancer and our teenage son is in a wheelchair, but they gave one of our rooms to someone else. In the end, we were separated with one room right at the back of the property, and the other room at the front. The front room was under stairs leading to the second floor and was incredibly noisy. I would not stay there again.
1.0 Poor
Cons: Was not allowed TO stay. Owner cancelled reservation when we arrived after a 10 hour drive to find they did not Allow cats or dogs over 25 lbs which we had.Web site said pet friendly with no mention of the fact they are friendly to dogs under25 lbs. only.

Pros: Clean, but sparse.

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The best thing about the whole stay was the lady how greeted us when we first got there. The rest of the stay went down hill from there.
Cons: There was no air conditioning. All night a fog horn was going off and we couldn't close the window because it was to hot. They ran out of towels and we had to wait for over an hour for clean towels. Thev internet didn't work for a while.
5.0 Okay
Pros: having booked last minute- it was available..and that was the best part. It was fine- exactly what you would expect for a Super 8..thin bedding and towels , crusty peeling plaster on the walls...but its a Super 8..
Cons: I knew going into it that it was going to be lower quality and feel kinda gross- cheap sheets and towels, dirty carpet, and peeling walls. But it was cheap and had availability at the last minute..

Cons: Room needs some repair.

Cons: No a/c, no fan, no air circulation. Pillows on bed were the size of decorative pillow for a couch.Towels and sheets were stained. Total dive. One lightbulb over sink was burned out. Phone in room didn't work and couldnt get a dial tone to call front desk
