Pros:Good & clean car
Cons:The rear lights were not working and this caused me an issue with police as I got a fine because of this.

Cons:the car that was offered on kAYAK, WITH COMPLETE DIFFERENT ON COLLECTION, THEN HAD TO CANCEL RESERVATION AND MAKE A NEW BOOKING DIRECT WITH BUDGET
Pros:Staff friendly. The keep you updated via email. The drop off was good.
Cons:Pickup was terrible, the staff was friendly but the queue line was very long and one staff available. It took me around 30 minutes to pick up my car. In Kayak the choice of car was Form but on reality the car was Renault Duster, so Kayak should update the profile of this car.
Pros:They give us a bit better car than we expected because we booked some small car from A category and they gave us Toyota Yaris which is I think from B category.
Cons:They did not mark clearly scratches that were before so when we were returning the car they were thinking we made these scratches and I clearly pointed them to write some of these when we picked up the car. But at the end, they accepted all of these was from before and didn`t take any money from the deposit. Another thing to pay attention is to additional cost like 16aed for "road tax" and 25aed to return car at airport, so I returned it to Al Raha mall. Also when you renting from any company pay attention to the level of full because often they don`t give with full level and they expect to return them full level.
Pros:Very little. I guess it was convenient that they were a short walk through the airport terminal to the rental counter. The rest was not so great.
Cons:I reserved a 7 passenger van, it specifically said "Ford S-Max or similar." When I arrived they tried to give me a Toyota Corolla citing that the reservation states "or similar." I thought they were joking. How the hell do you define the word "similar?" They said based on engine size. If this is the policy then everyone should beware. Because you may want an SUV for your family and end up getting a 2 door convertible sports car instead. The staff forced me to rebook at triple my original rate to get a vehicle big enough for my family. I was very upset but didn't have a choice and they just didn't care. My reservation was for 3 days. We had a change in plans while in country and on the 2nd day called to ask if we could keep the car a few days longer. The lady on the phone was very nice and quoted us the new rate, which she said was basically the weekly rate now. We agreed and made a note of her information and the new pricing. When time came to return the vehicle they tried to charge me a higher rate than what was quoted on the phone. The difference came out to be over $100 US. I have extended bookings at rental car agencies so many times in the past, but it never had a problem like this. These people are legitimately unorganized or are crooks. I think it's a little of both. And lastly, on the way to the airport to return the car we filled gas near the hotel and made the 25 drive to the airport. The gas needle went slightly below the full mark for that drive. I have a picture to prove this. They tried to tell me it was at ¾ tank and wanted to charge me about 75 dharams ($20 US). This is outrageous. I argued and argued and they cut the amount in half. But again this is the type of thing that car rental companies don't nickel and dime you over as a norm. Yes they had the right to charge me something, but not overcharge me. And usually there is a customer courtesy for a slight amount below full. Anyway, needless to say, I will never use Thrifty again and I hope you don't either.
Cons:Car had 112k kilometers on and while clean and functional, it felt old and cheap. The cigarette lighter was broken and the car was too old to have USB so we couldn't charge any phones which we were relying on to navigate. Also was upsold a ton on various coverage, driver additions, etc. to make this a fairly expensive affair all told.
Pros:I have used Thrifty car hire at Abu Dhabi Airport several times, and they always excel at their service. They are by far the best rental service at the airport.
Pros:Great value compared to other rental car agencies
Cons:Vehicles had lots of scratches and dings. Not well maintained.
