Loved the "Warm Cookies Welcome" at check in. The pool area was very nice, like a mini resort.
I could hear everything from our neighbors, so it was a little noisy.
Wonderfully managed property. People were great! Well maintained property. Location is good also. Many shopping and dining options nearby.
Staff was very helpful
No bottle water in room
Only issues
Staff in all areas was excellent, friendly and helpful.
The pool and area. Good amount of space but chairs in shade and really to heavy to move hot tub not clean. Was very disappointed in that aspect and would not stay there again if pool situation was same!
Not for families, but great location!
This is a great location. On major road near to LAX, beaches and downtown L.A. I got a good last minute rate on Kayak. There was renovation going on at the time and staff made sure they let me know and picked a room away from construction.
-I was traveling with children and there were no other families I saw -many airlines (domestic & international) crews stay here overnight from LAX -smoking hotel so you can smell the smoke wafting in the lobby and pool area, which was gross for my children to smell -geared towards international visitors who like to smoke -pool area on older side; did not make me want to swim in there with my children -my room was not renovated yet, so it was feeling worn; bed was ok. I've had softer, better beds -walls were very thin and I could hear everything in the hallway -my key card into the hotel floor was not working twice, which is so annoying given I had small children and the lobby was a 5-10 minute walk away (with children, slow walkers!)
Starting to show its age
Good exercise facility, good location for me (close to the company I visit). Self-parking is nice. Many hotels in this area have the "hidden fee" of parking charges, up to $30 per night.
Where to begin. First off, the hotel is getting very old. The rooms are fundamentally small compared to more modern hotels. To the point that the bathrooms are very small. The vanity is tiny, and the only place for towel storage is within the shower (at the back). Also, the mirror had some strange black stains on it. Second bad thing was the "view". My room was at room level for another part of the hotel, so when you opened the sliding door, you were actually on the roof. And the view (other than looking at roof) was a wall. Maybe a roof and a wall wouldn't have been too bad, but throw in the 4 or 5 satellite dishes and it was pretty unattractive. OK, so pull the blinds and keep them closed. Except here's the worst part of all... The A/C unit sounded like a small dump truck at idle and hardly cooled at all. So to keep the room tolerable, I had to open the sliding glass door. But because you could walk in right off the roof, I had to close it every time I left the room, and then the room got hot and stuffy. I'm an HHonors member, and I try to be loyal to Hilton branded hotels, but this one makes it tough.
The location was good and the facilities were OK. The staff was very good and friendly.
As a Hilton member I did not expect to put in a room with the smallest bathroom I have ever stayed in at a Hilton Hotel. The bed was way to soft and I woke up with a terrible back pain. The room was number 310 and I would hope that Hilton members would get better treatment than I received.
We had been assigned a room in the lower tower... Not sure is that my room is booked in a discount rate.
Excellent service and clean rooms. Also free self parking.
The staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the area. Room was very clean. Bedding was very comfortable. Room service was fast and surprisingly affordable. Hotel is next to shopping, dining, movies and short drive to the beach.
