Pros: Loved the room and especially the ultra comfortable bed. Beautifully decorated and kitchenette area was wonderfully convenient. Amenities/toiletries in the bathroom were lovely. The staff was very accommodating and we so appreciated the lovely bottle of wine and card in our room upon arrival to celebrate our anniversary! Thank you!
Cons: It was a little warm in the room due to the hot weather. The fan helped but it would have been nice to have AC in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place. Away from the main area but within easy walking distance down to the marina. Rooms were nice and good sized with an overhead fan and another fan in closet. Nice little outdoor patio with o bistro table and chairs overlooking the nice grassy grounds with hammocks, lawn games and a bbq area with 3 bbqs to use. The continental breakfast was great and a large gathering room with table to eat or play games. The gal on staff was super sweet and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Also dog friendly with no weight restrictions.

Pros: We loved this place!! The decor inside and out was so cute and inviting! Room amenities like the Keurig, wine glasses/wine opener, and soft robes were very appreciated. It was centrally located, and convenient to get to everything and yet quiet as well. Pool and hot tub area was clean and fun. We loved the option to BBq, and used the grill one night. Ping Pong and Bocce Ball were an added bonus!

Flowers and chairs were colorful, and many interesting games that were inviting. The place was harmonious to its surroundings. We love our room that was very clean! The interior decors was thoughtful and lovely. We didn't get to meet the owners/innkeepers, but you can tell the place was a labor of love. I did meet their friendly young son and their adorable dog! We will definitely stay there again!

Pros: Breakfast is not included but hotel is very close to McDonald and other restaurants. Room is decorated very charmingly. It has more than the typical essentials including 2 very plush morning robes. Owner has good decorating taste and room feels more like a chic hotel. Swimming pool is on small side but adequate and clean. Has a nice jaccuzi too. Walking distance to the waterfront for evening eat and stroll.
Cons: The mattress is on soft side. Our toilet made small whoozing sound probably due to a leak. Reported it but never got fixed and they never got back to us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, casual atmosphere
Cons: No AC
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I felt welcomed the second I checked in. It was my first time in Tahoe and they gave me tons of great recommendations. Location was great and my room was clean. I would love to stay there again when I go back!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Early check-in, reception, room amenities, room wi-fi, location, free parking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was great! The owner and her staff were incredibly nice. The lady at the front desk during check-in was very informative and gave us a lot of good recommendations of sushi restaurants. During breakfast, we spoke with a guy at the front desk who gave us some interesting facts about the history of Lake Tahoe and its surroundings. The room was very clean and well maintained! I'll definitely stay here again
Cons: Probably more variety on breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the 3rd time we have returned to Alpen Rose. It’s an AMAZING location in the central part of south lake that is just a bike ride or nice walk to the central “Hub” of fun. But I think the thing we love most about this place is seeing the familiar faces of staff. It makes coming to a place that isn’t our home, feel like home away from home. Hanna’s kindness and hard work to provide her guests with a cozy stay is so appreciated, and the gentleman at the front desk (I feel so guilty for not remembering his name) is the sweetest soul who has all of the greatest Tahoe recommendations and random Tahoe trivia
9.3 Excellent
Pros: European touch.
Cons: Very soft mattresses on beds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, breakfast, comfortability.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Everything, over price, no refrigerator in the room, nor microwave, not worth the money. Please try to find a better place.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Well run facility. Nice patios to enjoy in the evening with fire pits in 2 locations.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Inn was very clean and well maintained. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful- they gave me great tips on local recreational opportunities. The inn is nicely decorated and has a pleasant outside deck.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean, quiet room. Comfortable bed. Soft sheets. Thick towels. Sound like home? Well kept property in South Lake Tahoe's stateline hotel area. The bathroom in our unit looked recently remodeled and they did a fantastic job in doing the work. What wasn't mentioned in their room descriptions was the fireplace heating unit in the room. It added yet another nice little touch of home. Owner and staff were very nice and helpful. Will definitely be booking Alpenrose Inn from now on when we go to Tahoe.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner welcomed us with great smile even after late night arrival. She showd us what to do around and introduced us briefly to the history of Lake Tahoe and her family there. Clean rooms and comfortable bed made us rest for the other challenging day.
Cons: I would personally welcome broader selection of food for breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great management, excellent rooms. Located centrally, within walking distance of State Line & Heavenly Plaza, but away from the main traffic where it's pretty tranquil. Nice walks to the beach in multiple directions.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very pleasant Breakfast included Whilst not on the main road, only a short walk to Heavenly gondola, restaurants and casinos
Cons: Thin walls/ceilings sadly meant you could hear adjacent rooms.
Heavenly Village Condos - South Lake Tahoe

Overview Reviews
Located in South Lake Tahoe, Heavenly Village Condos is on the Strip, within a 5-minute walk of The Shops at Heavenly Village and Heavenly Gondola. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Vallet was included. Was a nice convenience with all the ski gear.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, full kitchen, multiple living spaces, gorgeous views, beautiful living spaces, great for large groups.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was wonderful! Best service I have ever had! From beginning to end!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I think the thing I liked most was the location. While the Gondola portion of Heavenly is not my most favorite, staying at the villas is just so convienent. Once you park you never really have to leave. Supermarket is across the street, cinemas are on site, so many good restaurants are also on site, there’s so much to do within walking distance. It’s really what sold me. Secondly, since there are so many nice places that offer the same close proximity of the gondola is the villa itself. We had plenty of room for our party of 7. We cooked most nights, then frequented the pool area. So relaxing. And very spacious. Not all accommodations can offer the room to stretch out with 7 persons in a room.
Cons: Maybe communications on what was going on activities wise. For instance I didn’t even know there was a ski check until the end of my stay, it could have made my stay so much easier by checking ski equipment rather than lugging it up to the room each day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love that it is so convenient to everything! I only had to use my car twice during my whole trip. Everything was walking distance!
Cons: I'm not sure what had happened but my car had valet parking. And they returned my car with wheel/ tire was flat

Cons: Lobby was dirty.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very clean, comfortable bed, nice kitchen with all essentials for cooking.
Cons: Main staff had a bit of a language barrier and were hard to understand at times. One elevator had trouble functioning at times and was very frustrating.
7.5 Good
Pros: Facility was perfect! Suite was spacious with large balcony. Family really enjoyed staying there. Plenty of activities for everyone at the Resort. Centrally located. Highly recommended
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean. Great location.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean. The location was just what we needed. Being in the heart of shopping and restaurants and bars was perfect for us. We loved the energy. The kitchen was well stocked and everything we used worked perfectly.
Cons: The room had no hospitality binder. We did not know where the pool was. Did it have a spa? What were the hours? Where were the ice machines? We called the front desk about it who had no clue and forwarded our call to the concierge. She said that there should be "something" in our room. She did not offer to have someone bring it to us but said we could swing by when we were out. Not the best customer service.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location, room was lovely & overall facilities & cleanliness of the place.
Cons: We were not told about the activities. Also, service requests take very long. We wanted to have coffee but didn't know how to operate the particular coffee machine at the unit. It took more than 3-4 calls & over an hour to resolve. Plus concierge services was diverted to Marriott Timber Lodge & we felt we did miss out on some fun activities just because we were not informed.
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Late housekeeping, pool closure ran after 10pm, so noisy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolute best location to be in South lake Tahoe - a 10 minute walk to casinos in Nevada - Harrahs only one visited - full of smokers & the place a bit tatty ( Harrahs I mean). Internet very good - a visit to Driftwood Cafe - a two minute walk from Grand residence by Marriott is essentail - nice breakfast & good service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: happy hours activities location amenities in the room
Cons: there wasn't anything that i didn't like
8.0 Excellent
Pros: - The location was very good - check in & checkout was smooth - the team who handle the car parking were outstanding

5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was awesome incredible love the Breakfast and Location and Decor Valet Staff excellent very helpful very professional they make your stay very pleasant !! Bed was very soft and Room Amenities !!!!
Cons: The Hotel is misleading, it is not a Private Beach Front you are actually sharing the Beach with a public that pays to use the beach. The Room is also misleading none of the rooms leads directly to the beach. Theres is a street and gate in front of the beach . No direct access as claimed. If you want direct beach access go stay at Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge and Spa. The room is misleading if you are not staying in a lake view room that faces directly the Lake, save your money and go to another hotel. Our room had a patio with two chairs that faced an empty parking lot it was a joke. we never even used the patio. We were told we have private patio ridiculous 2 chairs placed directly facing an empty parking lot was out private patio!!! Many rooms other rooms were available I think but they told us they are sold out. Also check in sucks, we arrived at 3:15pm they said room was not ready and check in is at 4pm?? really !! Check out is 11am how can the room not be ready by3pm.. Yes they have only 2 house keepers cleaning the entire property not sure why!!! The amount of money we paid didn't live up to the hype of the hotel Before I booked almost all reviews listed this place at 10/10 am not who these people but their reviews are misleading!!! I have stayed in many hotels all over the world and I would consider this hotel at best 3 star. Honestly save your money and go somewhere else unless you have a room directly across the lake even then don't be fooled, it is not a direct access to the beach and the beach is not private it is a paid public beach that you get to use for free. Wifi was a disaster, was super slow we literally had no wifi the entire time. We had to go outside the hotel for wifi it was super slow or non-functional.
5.4 Okay
Cons: 1. There was no hot water in the morning when outside temperature is -8 C and they couldnt seem to care about it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is right next to the beach - nice in summer, and of course offering a great view on the lake, especially if you are stying in the front rooms. Our room was spacious, the bed was really comfy, loved the bathroom and the fireplace in the living area. The hotel offered free bikes which was nice too. Tried the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, which served great food, however, on the expensive side.
Cons: Hope to see more environmental awareness promoted in the future :-)
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location. Staff very nice
Cons: My room smelled like paint and couldn’t breath. my lungs are stop hurting. Tv didn’t work. Water took half an hour to get hot. Everything we asked , they didn’t have!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel all around. Staff was great. Room had the view they promised. Food was good.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The room didn’t have TV. The check in was really late when we requested early check in. We got there at 12:00 and we had a 6 week old baby, and we went to see if room was ready at 4:00 and it still wasn’t and there was no sympathy or service reflecting we had a baby. It was a brand new room they said. Bathroom shower should have a door on it, because when showering it splashed into the rest of the bathroom. Would have rather got a room with a view than a remodeled room. Got cookies and milk to room and cookies were cold, for the price? Great location with beach access. Great restaurant and food.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our Short Stay was Excellent. The Room was Clean, the Location and the Nite Light Warm Toilet Seat was a Nice Touch
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was such an amazing experience! Everyone was polite and got everything to us as soon as we requested it! Definitely will be going back
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, perfect for the lake. Jimmy's restaurant was very nice and the wait staff were great!
Cons: We booked a pet friendly room for our dog, we were told we could only stay on the ground floor next to the lake car park. It was very noisy and the nightly cost did not match my experience. I am a seasoned traveler and this was not good value for money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All staff were so friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Nothing.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Rooms are very clean indeed and have nice modern design, the restaurant downstairs was tasty for breakfast (didn’t try anything else there).
Cons: It is an OK hotel for 3 stars, but definitely not 5 stars. Definitely not worth paying around 900 USD (sic!) for 2 nights. 1. No minibar at the room (the refrigerator is empty). 2. Not possible to order any drinks and hot food into the room after 9.30 pm. We arrived at 10.30 pm and wanted to order at least something to eat after long road. Night service was only able to provide cold wrap sandwich and no drinks. The restaurant and bar downstairs closes at 9.30 pm and were also not able to help. The only way was to drive to CVS and by drinks there. 3. Celling is extremely thin and made of wood, every step in a room above you will be that loud as it is happening in your room. On our first morning cleaning lady started cleaning the room above us and for an hour it sounded like there is an elephant bumping the celling. As you guess it was impossible to continue to sleep. 4. Stuff was not responsive to our inquiries. We were ignored when asked not to clean the room above at least for couple hours so we can sleep and rest. Same episode happened next day again at 8am. The answer is always - sorry, we can’t do anything. 5. They do have a pool and bicycles (have not checked the gym though), but if you ever stayed at 5 stars hotel you definitely would not rate these amenities at 5 star. They are maximum 3. Pool is a small one for 10 persons max (this is according to the sign), I would say it is for 5-6 persons max, otherwise it turns to a bathtub. No guard. No beverages allowed. Nothing special if to sum up. 6. Amenities promoted at the website in fact are not included into the room price. At check out you will be asked to pay additionally around 50 USD per day of some sort a resort fee (as explained by receptionist it is payment for amenities (pool, bicycles, etc.) available at the hotel). Does not matter if you used them or not. Note: it is not an occupancy tax which is normally charge at hotels in this area (this will be charged additionally as well).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We biked every where and the bikes were complementary (helmets and locks too!). They also had a complementary shuttle so we didn’t have to drive anyplace and have to worry about parking which was an added bonus!!

Pros: The atmosphere! You can sit outside, sip coffee and feel like you're in the forest. It's quaint and quiet and possibly the best lodging experience we've ever had.
Cons: Their remote batteries need changing. Other than that, I loved absolutely everything!

Pros: Charming lodge comfortable bed. Clean
7.5 Good
Pros: Large cabin, well equipped , nice gardenning outside, quite place. Suitable for "Big black bare" mystery lovers....
Cons: Expnesive. $300. Money charged in advance. Wi-Fi was not stable, very slow and disconnect frequently. Bed extremely soft - uncomfortable. Not enough light in the room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The lodge was very clean, staff super friendly, and the bed was very comfortable. The hot tub was also very nice.
Cons: The location was OK. The CA parking lots fill up quick so if you're skiing the location is just so so. You have to get to the Mountain super early otherwise you're walking 1+ mile or waiting 45-60 minutes for a mountain shuttle. The shuttles rarely come by to get into/from town as well. Also, the rooms all face a large great room so it can get noisy in the morning.
10.0 Excellent

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room was amazing! We liked the overall location and the staff was very helpful. We were really happy to be right on the lake and to have a large beach area.
Cons: The decor in the lobby was very outdated and tired. Pillows were not good. It would have been nice to have air conditioning since we had to leave our sliders open and it was very noisy there at night. This resort definitely caters to families and not all of them were very considerate.

Pros: The location excellent, staff beyond helpful, the experience was great. Will go again next year!
Cons: The size of the bathrooms and could use some updating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was awesome just opposite the lake and the service was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A nice place to stay
Cons: Balcony is wonderful
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the deck we sat out there and could see the water. So nice. Wonderful room. Great log bed. But it needs a more grown up toilet. The one in our bathroom is very low to the ground and not elongated. When your older like us, bad knees really like a toilet that is higher.

Pros: Location was top notch! Really appreciated the observed quiet hours, nightly s’mores, and breakfast! The setting and design of the hotel and lounge areas were very welcoming and staff were very friendly and helpful; took pride in their grounds and facilities.
Cons: The only thing that would’ve been nice but not necessary is ac.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location . Walking distance to restaurants and beach. During day can enjoy pool, spa and drinks at the bar :) Nice breakfast and outside area. Complimentary s’mores and movie night !
Cons: No a/c just fan . We stayed in July and it was hot inside.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Modern chic motel, nice clean rooms, friendly staff, very nice location
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Common area was very pleasant. Pool wasn’t crowded and little one really enjoyed it. Bed was comfy. S’mores at night were a nice touch.
Cons: No AC but fans helped. No wash cloths!!? Breakfast was waffles, Greek yogurt, fruit, hard boiled eggs, cereal. Bacon or sausage would have been great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Can't recommend The Coachman Hotel enough peeps! Super hip, sweet accommodations, rad staff, optimal location and the price is right! Def returning for a longer stay next time. Make sure to take them up on the complimentary S'Mores at the hotel's huge communal fire and play some corn hole!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Liked the fact that breakfast was available and included. The toilet flushed very quietly which was good.
Cons: Disappointing breakfast. Same thing every day. Fruit was minimal and not fresh. Ran out of peanut butter. Eggs very difficult to peel. Extremely hot to sleep. One little fan didn't cool the room. Couldn't open the windows all the way because no screen and there was a little fan in the window. Fridge wasn't very cold.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cool laid back vibe. Very friendly and responsive team. Beautiful common areas and great breakfast. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Bed was super comfy. They has a little chilled bubbly waiting for us and gave our pup a gift bag with treats, ball and waste bags. Super thoughtful. Will stay again and recommend!
Cons: Nothing, our stay was perfect.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff, the breakfast, the pool and lounge area
Cons: Cleaning service needs to improve. Felt room wasn’t clean well . Missing towels
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The fresh waffles are the staple of the breakfast; the coffee is Stumptown and pretty respectable. I wish the espresso wasn't all dark roast, though. It's a very laid back and communal atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again!
6.8 Good
Pros: The Staff was exceptional. The breakfast was nice and the pool was lovely.
Cons: There is no air conditioning...fans in windows needed to have the window open for them to operate...felt not safe about it. The room is very small and the beds were terrible. We had to cut our stay to two days instead of 5 due to the fact I had a terrible time sleeping my husband as well. The room was very small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the shower and bathroom amenities. I loved the bar and overall decor.
Cons: I had to request wash clothes which I though was kinda weird.

Cons: The bed was too firm for my taste but when we asked they came right up with additional mattress pads and re made the bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: location was perfect, the room was very nice!! all employees were very helpful and pleasent
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was central to everything.
Cons: The area can be a bit touristy but if you select your days well you can avoid the crowds to some extent. The crowd is very family oriented so it was good from that perspective.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice location, conveniently next to gondolas and Heavenly Village, decent overall experience. Nice heated pool which was being used despite the snow storm.
Cons: Compulsory valet parking, pushy concierge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The programs the resort offers and the pool.
Cons: Nope
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Felt I was in a cabin, and homey I felt very comfortable
Cons: No all was perfect
7.5 Good
Pros: All the staff I had contact with were outstanding. Rooms were good as always with Marriott.
Cons: Fire & Ice was pretty bad and the staff (some) were over bearing and tried to push us into eating. The person who greeted us was trying to sell something that wasn't really there.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The cleaning crew folded and hung up dirty towels like they were clean. We hang up our towels if we will use them again but the towel on the floor that was obviously very dirty was folded and hung up. It was disgusting.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: As an avid snowboarder, I loved being able to leave my room, exit the hotel and immediately get on the gondola to ride the mountain! Also, it was nice that there is a small convenience store in the lobby where you can grab beer, wine, cereals, etc.
Cons: The bed was HARD as a rock!!! I read a few reviews that were complaining about how hard the beds are here but I ignored them. Sure enough, the reviews are correct... the beds are super firm here! (Considering how great this place is, I can overlook this.)
5.0 Okay
Pros: The fitness classes and the size of the room
Cons: A little dated old furniture
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location for skiing was excellent. The activities and Fire and Ice restaurant were excellent. The staff was great. We had trouble with noise from an adjoining room but they fixed this with a mattress between the doors. We would plan on staying here on our next visit.
Cons: Noise from adjacent room (fixed by hotel)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is fantastic, the pool is great. My kids loved the youth club with xbox and wii. The room was pretty spacious and the kitchen was more than we needed.
Cons: I wish there was another parking option other than the 29$ valet.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, cost, room was very clean, hot tub was nice

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Big, roomy, updated, easy for parking.
Cons: The heater did hold at a temperature. It only gets warmer. Maybe it's broken. Otherwise the hotel is very nice.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was great — discovered some nearby food places and a lot of water activities. The game room was cute and the pool looked nice (though we didn’t use either).
Cons: A little janky, for lack of a better term. A major issue we had was the lock on the bathroom door allows you to lock yourself out, which seems like a terrible design! Although we called for help and the front desk said they were sending maintenance to our room, we managed to fix the issue on our own with a physical key with teeth. Second, we brought our dog and we asked for the items they include with the pet fee. The front desk reassured me they’d have all the dog items in our room when we went up, but the items weren’t there. When we called, they said they’re just “really slammed right now” and would eventually send someone with the items. Final point is that some of the “amenities/features/services” like bike rentals were pretty limiting, so for example, we weren’t able to use the bike rentals because of the 2-hr limit — although it sounds like 2 hours is a decent amount of time, it would be hard to use the bikes to explore or to bike somewhere, engage in an activity or eat a meal, and return within 2 hours.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The mattress on pull out couch was spring mattress and it was VERY uncomfortable. You can feel every spring!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location overlooking Lake Tahoe and convenient for local facilities.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, close to everything.
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Proximity to the lake. Room size.
Cons: A bit far from city center. Internet gets slow at night.
6.3 Good
Cons: The Ac had a water leakage when it would be turned on

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean, quiet, rooms set back from the street, full breakfast available, bed and pillows were comfortable, variety of sizes, room was well appointed.
Cons: GPS is a little funky right where this hotel is, so be prepared to turn the wrong way to get anywhere you're trying to go to leave the parking lot.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Its like 3 or 4 blocks away from downtown. Good location
Cons: The swimming pool was closed.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Right on Tahoe blvd, walking distance from Casinos, restaurants and heavenly village. Service is good, breakfast is a nice add on, free parking . They provided us with a crib for our baby
Cons: Furniture and carpet are old, split ac unit is kind of loud
8.3 Excellent
Pros: 1) Nice location. Plenty of parking space. Close to the all attractions (the beach, shops, restaurants). Izabella Ristorante Italiano is a great Italian restaurant that is in 50 meters. Just do not forget to reserve a table in advance.
Cons: 1) The carpet in the room looked quite clean. However, after a few minutes of playing on it, the knees of our baby became dark. I do not know if it is a carpet color or dirt, but it was hard to wash off. 2) Overpriced (as everything in Tahoe in summer). 3) The breakfast area is too small. I suggest adding more tables outside. The breakfast itself is average.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very attentive and polite
Cons: All was well for our 3 night stay
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was not very good, but was expected as it was continental style

Pros: Nice location, pool and hot tub were great, and staff was nice.
Cons: So many things not working in the room. Fridge didn’t cool at all , nightstand lamp and fireplace didn’t light, hair dryer bottom broken. They were nice and fixed things the next day, but the place is being renovated and it sure needs it.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfortable room Bed and pillows were great
Cons: Noisy air conditioning
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and comfortable plenty of towels.
Cons: The bathtub was gigantic, it was a spa tub that was big enough to be in somebody's backyard, however the tub spout didn't even work so you couldn't even fill it up to use. You could just use the shower.
6.8 Good
Pros: Valet staff
Cons: Never had housekeeping come to our room all three days. Trash cans were filled, towels wet and in a pile. No fresh towels or utensils.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Bell services and Valet parking
Cons: Room was really very absurd, i booked a 2 bed room unit and i was expecting this to be comfortable for 2 families but actually there is 2 separate room internally attached. Also there is a huge hot tub in the middle of the unit which makes the stay highly uncomfortble.a
7.5 Good
Pros: Design and space.
Cons: Only one cleaning every 4 days!
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The layout of the bathroom
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a great location in Tahoe and fairly close to amenities and tourist area. The rooms are fairly spacious.
Cons: Very low water pressure. Taking a shower was a challenge because of the low pressure. At one point my boyfriend had to stand outside the shower and hold the button to get the shower to work. I realize they are remodeling the place, but it's inconvenient for the guests at the moment.

6.8 Good
Pros: Location was fantastic.
Cons: We had ants throughout the room the first night/second day. And more than just a few, I kept killing them and they kept coming back. We found an ant trap that had placed under the sink, so I’m sure it’s probably an ongoing issue. We were dealing with it but then my young son had them crawling on him ... so I spoke with staff the next morning - they informed me that they did not have any other rooms available (I was even willing to downsize) and then they asked where I was from and then proceeded to tell me that I was in the mountains now and this “to be expected”.... we’ve stayed in South Lake Tahoe during the same time of year before and have never had this issue INSIDE of our hotel/motel (in fact, we stayed at a location across the street the last time and no creepy crawlers what so ever!) :) .. of course I would expect this outside but certainly not inside, so I found this response a bit disconcerting. I was unable to find another room available at that time, so I explained that I would go see if I could find something to treat the issue and they offered to reimburse me the cost of any product I purchased to treat the room (which although was a nice gesture, isn’t exactly the way I would recommend approaching the situation with others in the future). In the end, I didn’t feel comfortable spraying any pesticides in the room with my small child being there so my husband and I did a very thorough clean and stayed on top of the ants throughout our stay. I’ve contemplated even mentioning all of this because I’m not looking for any type of compensation but I do feel that others should be made aware, in case they have small children or those that may not care for the creepy crawlers. Otherwise, great location! Pictures I’ve posted were from the morning of our second day, after we had already cleaned one time - they were determined little critters!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: As a "lower cost" motel, I was not expecting it be be as nice as it was. The rooms have been recently updated....new paint, nice carpet (clean) and the bed was confortable at a middle range firmness. Overall very clean. The rooms are small, but because this motel is right in the heart of all of South Lake Tahoe's attractions (all easily within walking distance) you really won't be spending much time in your room. I did not hear any noise through the walls and only an occasional thump from upstairs. I come every year and will definitely stay at Black Jack Inn again!!
Cons: No coffee maker in room, only in lobby.....but I brought my own individual Keurig so it was not a problem.
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: Location is great, Just across from the village. Staff was friendly through the whole experience.
Cons: Room smelled musty or moldy, ceiling fan was broken, smoke detector was broken. No air conditioning.
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: The location is great because it's one of the closest motels to the Heavenly downtown. Cheap.
Cons: Dirty, broken window and furniture, no towels etc, unorganized staff, ANTS!!!!
7.0 Good
Pros: Manager was very nice. Called us up to check on what rime we will check in.
Cons: Small room for two double beds
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was a basic motel room -- but very clean!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Exactly what we needed for our one night stop!
Cons: Sheet did not look ironed.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Staff is nice and courteous. Location is close to shops and restaurants.
Cons: Ants in one of the two-bed rooms, smell of ciguarette smoking in the non-smoking room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: + Easy to find + Location (close to restaurants and beach) + Staff (super friendly and helpful) + Looked like on pictures + Very modern + Great TV and a lot of TV channels + Great bathroom
6.3 Good
Pros: The owners were good. The location cannot be better.
Cons: The room was very small for two queen (?) size beds. The bathroom was very small and not clean. Soap from previous users was still there. Spots on toilet seats. Only one plug point in the complete room.
6.5 Good
Pros: The location. You're walking distance from everything. Right in the center. But you're off the Main Street, which makes getting your car out way easier.
Cons: It's kind of run down and scary haha But my opinion is, I don't plan to spend my vacation in a hotel room. So it was ok.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean!!!! Good smell inside! Enough space inside! Nice personal! Everything was perfect 10/10

Pros: Charm and location.

Pros: We were greeted on the property by super friendly host. He gave us a quick tour of the property. The place has a unique sense of coziness and comfort to it. It's situated in midst of sweet pine trees. The property has a nice fully stocked kitchen. The place is pleasantly beautiful. It also provided complimentary bikes to go around. It's closer to all the nice beaches around south lake Tahoe.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved that the lodge provides bikes so we could ride to the lake. Great place for some really nice dogs and their friendly owners. Super positive vibe, and the kids loved the s'mores at the fireplace. We will definitely be returning.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owners were very wonderful and accommodating. So sweet to stay at such a dog friendly place! Great weekend getaway.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Extremely pet friendly and the bonuses are more than you would expect. They include free expanded continental breakfast, make sure to try the waffles. Nightly wine and cheese and s'mores by the fire pit. They have bikes, sleds, snow shoes and other outdoor equipment available to guests.
Cons: Our room needed a couch in the front room and dish soap in the kitchenette would have been nice.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is away from the traffic and noise of South Shore. It is a small, locally owned and operated facility. The rooms are decorated in a woodsy theme. They are all cozy. There is a continental breakfast in the morning, wine & cheese in the late afternoon and s'mores over an outside fire in the evening. There are the old fashioned type bicycles to borrow and a bike trail nearby that leads to a very nice beach area at the Lake.
Cons: The bed we slept in was a little too firm for me.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: This lodge is so cute! My kids loved it and are begging to go back for a longer stay and to try out each of the rooms! This will definitely be one of our “go-to” places in Tahoe.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The place is quiet, silent, calm. It’s has beautiful surroundings. The breakfast was humble with waffles, cereal, coffee and much more. The staff was exceptional,
Cons: I thought that the booking would’ve been bigger than what was given. In the pictures it appeared to have a full kitchen inside but it didn’t.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: STAFF WAS FRIENDLY
Cons: rooms could have been bigger. very uncomfortable bed. overpriced.

8.4 Excellent (1,074 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Basecamp South Lake Tahoe places you in the heart of South Lake Tahoe, within a 10-minute walk of Heavenly Gondola and The Shops at Heavenly Village. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and coffee/tea in a common area. Limited parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, modern rooms, fun feel, loved the live music and community feel, great yard games, nice touch having coffee and tea!
Cons: Never found the included breakfast, and didn’t like how the common area didn’t allow you to bring your own alcohol since the brewery only served beer and didn’t cater to people who don’t drink beer but wanted to have a drink and watch the live music/sit around the fire.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whimsical camping theme was very fun! The live music, lights, and camp fires was such a joy for the kids and adults. The staff was nice enough to decorate the room for my daughter for her birthday and even put a gift together for her!
Cons: I was charged $100 for a duvet cover after I left that I did not take. However after emailing the manager it was taken care of promptly and professionally.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Base camp has an amazingly cool vibe. It could be romantic with a partner but is definitely fun for families or friends traveling together. Everything is very well done. We had a king with a balcony. Great room with plenty of space. Very comfortable but no ac so had to leave slider open. Fresh air was nice. The only negative...no matter how much sand we accidentally brought in from the lake, housekeeping only vacuums when you leave apparently.
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice outside amenities such as fire pits and outdoor seating. Cool brewery with snacks.
Cons: Huge stain on the floor and the room did not have AC and it was hotter in the room than was outside during the summer...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great staff....fun festive atmosphere!
Cons: I didn't love all the bark in the fun area, a little hard to walk around, but very cool otherwise
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were nice. Location was good. They had live music in the beer garden. I would stay again but not on a busy weekend.
Cons: I didn’t like that they didn’t have enough parking. I was told it was “first come, first serve”. That was a pain when we got back after a day at the lake and just wanted to go to our room. I had to park next door at another hotel which they charged me $25. The hotel did reimburse me for it thought. Still, i drove around for 10 minutes looking for a spot. Other things that i wouldn’t say i didn’t like but i think people should know is there are no elevators. 2 flights of stairs. We were on the top floor. Also, we had no air conditioning in our room. The weather was nice for our stay so it didn’t bother us. The hotel provided a fan and there is also a ceiling fan.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to activities, shops, and restaurants.
Cons: The king room was below a family room and there is minimal sound insulation. The upstairs neighbors kept us up all night.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: we loved the location and the hotel was clean and fun! live music and beer and wine. Very cool place. We will be back for sure! Great location!
Cons: The roof top hot tub was out of order. the room was hot.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Bed was the best and the AC was good. Coffee and beer were very good
Cons: Toiletries were low but we brought our own. Dog food on floor shows room was never swept or vacuumed
6.3 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. Ambience of the bar area.
Cons: It's an overpriced motel. The room smelled weird as soon as you walked in. We got used to it. The fans were not sufficient enough to clear the heat. They need AC.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Loved the casual, fun atmosphere of the beer garden. Liked the beer, and the breakfast. Location to the beach and the free pass was a plus.
Cons: I liked the biscuits and gravy, and was only there for two mornings. Wondering if the breakfast menu changes?
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location and wonderful nightly music in beer garden. Love the ambiance.
Cons: Breakfast absolutely- terrible variety, quantity and service. No air-conditioned on hot summer days in Tahoe. Manager did apologize and compensate for the inconveniences.
