Pros: First and foremost, the staff, each and every one of them, could not have been more helpful! We stayed for 3 days while we visited my wife’s relatives. The rooms were spotless and comfortable; ours looked out over the pool and valley. A special thank you to Angela who made up our room each day. Parking was on site and free as was breakfast. It was a short walk to the town centre.

Cons: -
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place lovely staff
Cons: Was a little out the way
7.9 Good
Pros: the environment. Great location quiet and clean
Cons: nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel looks great in the pictures, and our room, with a large balcony/terrace was exactly as pictured. The grounds and the view down to the shoreline are lovely. Breakfast was abundant, and if you asked, they would cook eggs or bring you something beyond a Continental. They do not promote it, but we saw others ask and when we asked it was no problem. Dinner was very good.
Cons: The weather. It was rainy our entire stay so our terrace was useless, and there is no interior lobby or lounge. The bar area is not really set up for relaxing as this is a summer destination when everyone will be outside. I am sure in good weather the garden and outside dining would be excellent.
6.7 Good
Pros: Hotel was OK for a night but had little of distinction, except for a pretty good restaurant.
Cons: Location. In the middle of nowhere on Gargano & up a hill--nowhere near a beach I wouldn't go near in any case.

Pros: Caterina is a really lovely host and her breakfasts are really delicious and hearty. Their house was really beautiful and quaint.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ignore the negative comments on this location The location is extraordinary. You would need to have no soul not to be enchanted by third place. The surrounding streets are ancient and beautiful and most be explored. Local food is superb and great value... Top place all round.
Cons: Nothing... this is a wonderful place to stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice owners who helped us find the place and park. Breakfast was homemade. All the basics were there. Not a great stay, but a good one.

Cons: Breakfast could be improved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The woman in entrance was realy nice and helpfull . Thank you to her, perfect welcome !
Cons: Nothing , everything is perfect !
6.7 Good
Pros: The woman at the reception was kind and gentle.
Cons: Huge room but empty apart from the bed. One or two armchairs would have been welcome. Very old structure, without confort.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The place is really beautiful and spacious. Very good location in the good and the city is beautiful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stefania is a great host. Served us nice breakfasts, gave us good tips for restaurants and outings. Il Trapetto was a good choice, specializing in Vico's local "paposcia" dish, which is not quite pizza, not quite calzone. Room huge and beautiful with balcony, private bath, all very clean. Advice: street address of Donna Elena is on Via Matassa, but the property straddles two streets, the other being Corso Re Umberto. There's a door at 95 Umberto. Park there if at possible, on either side of one way street. You may get a bit queasy if you venture onto Matassa... Our grand plan of a day trip to Peschici (accent on first syllable) and then on to Vieste didn’t pan out - too much driving on narrow windy roads. Beach in Peschici was fine.
Cons: Wifi a little spotty.

Pros: Warm welcome exallente breakfast every friendly stuff.... Will definitely go back
Cons: Every thing was perfect
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and view
Cons: Noise from the baby owner Very small room Extra costs for jacuzzi and daily towel change
7.5 Good
Pros: Proximity to the beach (2 min walking distance). Nice sea view from the breakfast terrace. Parking spot was available in front of the property.
Cons: No mobile network in the property (emergency calls only). Wifi was not working at all. The breakfast was poor (one slice of bread with tomato sauce with no possibility to take another one, and some sweets).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quite & spotless. The view is amazing. Feels like home.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a wonderful beach-front B&B with the comfort of a 3* hotel. The owner is friendly and welcoming. We even got fruit and water at our arrival, which I found to be so lovely. Everything is clean, new, modern and comfortable. We had a wonderful big walk in shower. The bed was comfortable and the air-conditioning working great. It is a tranquil place ideal for a break. The breakfast was probably the best I ever experienced at an accommodation: everything fresh, homemade, served with love. There is a lovely terrace with comfortable seating areas for a nice evening or sunbathing (we preferred the beach). You can also dry your towels and beachwear here. We would like to go back ASAP.
Cons: The parking spot can be a bit of a challenge (no problem with a parking camera), but there is lots of free space at the beach (a minute away). The telephone connection and because of it also the Wifi is very poor in the whole village. For us it was a benefit - not to be bothered by work calls or emails. Because of the poor connection, you have to pay cash in most restaurants/hotels.
Overview
Our property has three guest home apartments nestled in the olive groves of a 20-acre estate outside the charming medieval village of Vico Del Gargano in Puglia, on a secluded road leading down to the Adriatic Sea. Experience nature and relaxation at its best. Whether you’re basking in the beauty of the property, eating fruit off the tree, taking a dip in the small dipping pool, playing at the beach, or exploring the surrounding area – Your time with us is sure to be unforgettable! Inside Guest Home Apartment #1: This lovely guest home apartment is the largest of our three vacation rentals on the estate. It sits alongside our other two apartments in a row below our main house, overlooking the breathtaking olive grove-covered hills of Gargano. The apartment is composed of a bedroom, bathroom and large living room/kitchen. The bedroom has a comfy queen-sized bed, two nightstands, an armoire and a window looking out into the valley. The living room has a chaise lounge sofa that easily converts into a queen-sized bed as well as an armoire, breakfast table and kitchenette with mini-fridge and two burners for cooking. We have everything you need: air conditioning, towels, linens, coffee maker, hair dryer, plates, cups, cooking utensils, etc. The Property at La Fontanella The guest home apartments sit below the main house (where the proprietor lives) on a gorgeous 20-acre estate. The name of the estate is "La Fontanella" which means the fountain. It gets its name because is houses the source of the river that flows through the Gargano hills to the the Adriatic. This special piece of heaven is home to 300 olive trees, tons of fruit and nut trees, vegetable and flower gardens that are sprinkled throughout the property, as well as a family of animals which include 2 very friendly dogs, a cat, 3 geese, 8 chickens and in about two weeks our 10 baby chicks will hatch! We have several common spaces where you can relax and enjoy the many sounds of nature, including a hammock and a mini-pool where you can escape the heat with a little dip. -Guest interaction Curt, Michele and/or Linny will be on the property to answer any questions and to assist you during your stay, if needed. If you'd like we can plan special walks to pick the fruit and or vegetables that are in season during your visit. There's nothing quite like eating a ripe cherry (or whatever your favorite fruit is) right off the tree! -Neighborhood overview We are in the Pugliese countryside located 5 minutes from the charming medieval village of Vico del Gargano and 10 minutes from the sea and the beautiful Calenella beach. The Foresta Umbra, an Italian national park/forest is just beyond the village of Vico, and there are dozens of beautiful seaside and hillside towns to explore nearby. -Getting around We are not connected to public transport, and we love it. Get yourself a nice rental car, drive to Puglia and stay in the olive groves, we look forward to your stay. -Other things to note The property can be difficult to find. So, when you arrive we will meet you in town and you can follow us. Also, the road leading to the property is an unpaved country road that can be a bit bumpy (so you might want to leave that Lamborghini at home).

4.6 Okay
Cons: Good 3 star..far away to be 4 star...poor breakfast..vry simple fornuture..single room as preason...only location an the have service to Viesti which iş good.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was pefect and the breakfast just what we wanted
Cons: The shower tray had a slight leak
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, clean, close to places of interest, great pool, hotel bus to take you down to beach and back to hotel
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, friendly staff. Small playground for children :)
Cons: According to booking.com there should also be a kid's club, but was no longer in September.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel with big pool located on small hill with sea view. Shuttle service to beach and Vieste but more convenient to have own car.
Cons: As for 4* hotel breakfast could be a lit bit varied.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent and the pool amazing (also great size, since very big). The rooms are basic, but extremely comfortable and the front ones have a wonderful view on the bay.
Cons: The very loud animation during the day (from 4.00 pm onwards) and particularly at night (til 12:00 -1 am).
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: The closing time of the swimming-pool, the Forniture, the decoration of wall it felt I was in a retirement home.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice quiet hotel, with stunning view. Water in the pool was very clean, no odor of chlorine. Very convenient shuttle service between hotel and downtown. Extremely frendly stuff.
Cons: Shower cabin was abnormally small, I’m lean person, but I cannot imagine how 100+kg person will fit into. But this is their problem I guess.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very close to the beaches, and within walking distance of the town center. It's up an a hilltop, so it might not be walkable by anyone. They do have "shuttle" busses for those who can't walk up the hill. The hotel was clean, the staff very welcoming and met all our requests.
Cons: Breakfast was dissapointing. No vegetables, mostly toast bread, complicated seating schema :) We missed breakfast one morning and the staff was nice enough to make us some sandwiches. The sandwich was much better than the normal breakfast. The pool is closed between 12:30 and 15:00. Surprising, given that you're going to a resort for full time relaxation. You are also obliged to wear a swimming cap in the pool. They do sell them on site and are reasonably cheap (2€). Afternoons at the swimming pool were not that relaxing. They have aquagym classes with loud and questionable music that makes the place feel like a club. Might be enjoyable for some people, it was not for us. As is typical of italian hotels, they have no "Do Not Disturb" signs that one could use, so late sleepers will get a wake-up call from the cleaning lady.

6.3 Good
Pros: - We had an upgrade from a standard room to a superior room - The hosts are very kind and helpful - The bartender and the waiters are very kind - The variety in the restaurant menu for dinner - The big TV we had in the room - The view on the valley from our terrace - The calm surrounding the area - Fair value for money - The very kind masseuse and her massages - The proximity from Vieste, approx 15mn by car
Cons: Few things need to be improved for a good 4* review : - Pillows are extremely not comfortable, even though the manager brought us only one softer pillow, we had to share over the nights - There are lost dogs in the parking area, no one is taking care of it. They should be taken care of, washed and fed - The room was not clean enough for a 4* - The soap reload are not verified. We stayed 4 days without soap - The pool is not cleaned, lots of bugs on the surface - The SPA pool is not warmed, and the towels are not free for an entry we pay 15€ each (first time I ever see this in a SPA)
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice room with balcony; very nice breakfast buffet and good view from 4th floor roof top. Large pool. The hotel is away from town, so I definitely recommend a car. If you have no car, shuttle bus to the beach is perfect.
1.0 Poor
Cons: Can the receptionist be more unpleasant? Doubtful. But she gave it her all. She certainly made sure that we knew she did not want to be there and that she did not want us there. We booked this hotel specifically because of the fitness centre: the one lone treadmill did not work. The location is VERY isolated - if you do not have your own transport. We booked for three nights and left after just one.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: When I booked the hotel, I did not know exactly what to expect. When we drove and enter the parking it was still uncertain. But when we arrived, we were greeted by the owners and they directly made us feel at home. It was just spectacular. Dinner was very good and breakfast was one of the best breakfast we had in Italy. Products from their garden and the region. Just perfect !
Cons: a bit far from the coast
4.6 Okay
Pros: Not much. The reception staff and the common place was clean and ok. Very cool rooftop bar. Nothing very fancy but the grappa was perfect and the bartender very polite.
Cons: Value for money ratio - very poor. The room was rather expensive comparing to hotels almost everywhere in Europe and.... smelly bathroom, no towels on the pool, the pool rather old with a few sun beds. Generally you expect much more with a 4* place for a relaxation by the pool.
7.9 Good
Pros: Rooftop bar had gorgeous views at sunset and staff were very friendly.
Cons: It all looked outdated and prices were a little too high for what was offered. The spa is completely below ground and there were no staff there when we went to help us get around.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice place surrounded by nature but not too far from the center of Vieste or the Foresta Umbra (few minutes drive). Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was kind and helpful.
Cons: Spa is nothing special. Wouldn't recommend spending on it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Th place is beautiful, in the mountains close to Vieste. We stayed in a suit and it was very comfortable with a spacious bedroom and a very large living room that has another queen bed. The dinning room was very nice overlooking the pool.
Cons: Dinner is served at 9.00pm only. After that time, you only have the bar with drinks and snacks.

7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good! Location was good..close to the beach:)
Cons: Wi-fi was extremely poor...Aranci needs to improve on their provider!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean
Cons: Wi-Fi non existent
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast - would have liked to eat outside, but great food and coffee. Lovely pool - not open all day - but very nice. Lovely busy town - fun wandering around at night. Nearby beach nice, many others to explore in the area. Parking an issue - spaces like gold dust. I didn’t find one in hotel car park - did find one on street - 7Euros per day.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast and evening meals were excellent - great variety and good quality food and cooking.
9.2 Excellent

5.4 Okay
Pros: The staff at the front was friendly and quick with check in, how ever there is no bell boy to help with the luggages. Hotel needs renovation. No bathrobes and slippers. Bed and towels are really very simple. It fits the most 4 stars... but not 5.
Cons: starting from the hotel rooms and facilities and then the breakfast. Only friendly and helpful staff saved the day
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel! We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is large and modern with excellent air conditioning. The breakfast is one of the best for choice and quality we have experienced. Very friendly helpful staff also. Easy access to the beach direct from the hotel.
Cons: Cost of meals! €50 pp per meal is too expensive, particularly if you are going to stay for a week or more. It would have been nice to have had other cheaper options for the guests who are on a B&B package only. Very poor WIFI connection, sometimes does not work...

Pros: It's a few minutes from the beach, it has a terrace, parking and a pool- didn't checked it out. The staff was very helpful and nice. Breakfast was continental. We started our vacation great here, even if we stayed one night.
Cons: I don't like the double beds with two mattresses, in particular. The room was very dusty when we arrived, but bathroom was clean.
