we both enjoyed the fabulous and warm reception from the owners - they were fantastic with local directions , advice on good walks, historical tours and anything you needed to know, the breakfast buffet was superb with all local fresh produce beatifully presented. the optional evening dinner was probably the best italian food we have eaten and at $30 a head very resonable. this is a superb luxury bed and breakfast. no complaints at all and will go again
The owners were wonderful! they made us feel like we were visiting old friends. Dinner was one of te best I have ever had.
The hotel was undergoing major refurbishment and it is arguable whether it should have tried to continue operating in such circumstances. The room in a seperate building was good, but it was surrounded by a building site.
Karla was wonderful. She was very warm and hospitable and even drove us to Rodi for dinner since the restaurants in San Menaio were closed for the winter. Very peaceful and a lovely spot.
Sea view, private patio, close proximity to private beach. Patio was north facing and always in shadow
we were there in the off season when most hotels and restraunts were closed for the year. The owner of the hotel took special interest in us to make sure we were comfortable including driving us to the restraunt of choice and offering to come and pick us up afterwards. Breakfast was excellent and overall I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel which I believe gives good value.
Lovely room (best in hotel); nearness to beach Sitting in the centre of reception to have breakfast
Excellent spacious room and bathroom overlooking the sea - local railway line in between but very quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms kept very clean and a good supply of towels. A very good hotel with excellent value for money. Rooms face North so limited sun on balcony. However very easy, quick, private access onto the beach for sunbathing.
The manager, Carla, was extremely helpful and nice. We had two very comfortable rooms, a double for my husband and myself, and a twin room next door for our two sons. Both were very recently renovated, comfortable beds, flat screen tv, handsome clean modern design, with a large balcony overlooking the garden and the sea. The bathroom was very nicely outfitted, although the bathub was a bit small. Our experience was colored negatively only by the fact that the hotel was undergoing a major reconstruction, since we visited during the off season. There was dust everywhere, we had to walk under construction scaffolding to get to our room, the main reception area was completely closed off. We questioned whether this hotel should even have been open at all for guests. But Carla was so wonderfully accomodating and apologetic about the dust and chaos that we could clearly see that this would be a very nice place to stay during the summer season when all the construction is completed.
The environment in which the hotel is built is nice and quiet, safe for families. The piscine area is nice and an umbrella is always reserved for the clients on the beach. We paid 430 euro per night for a simple basic 3 persons studio (all incl), advertised as suite !! We had to wait behind enormous queues to be served, while the quality of food was not always satisfactory- seafood was the worst i have ever tried, smelled awfully !! All the beaches around were also a great dissapointment as the seawater is muddy - but this is not a fault of the hotel....
