9.6 Excellent
Pros: superior rooms are amazing... Hotel is great, staff excellent and helpful, food super good. Overall great experience
Cons: Comfort room a bit small with a great view anyway.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Therasia Resort is known as one of the best hotels of Mediterranian. That time it was my fifth staying at that wonderful hotel, and it is my favourable hotel. Everything is of the highest quality - staff, food at breakfast, lunch and dinner, spa and crytal clear sea water. My wife and me enjoined very much all our five stay there.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel and facilitates, great food - especially the breakfast has a fantastic selection. The staff were incredibly accommodating, professional and helpful at every occasion. A truly lovely place to stay.
Cons: The location is a little way from the main town, there is a free shuttle bus in and back but we did have to wait a bit for this in the evenings as there is one a hour. In October it was quite windy due to the hotels position on the cliff top.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved our time at Therasia Resort and we will definitely return back. The view is absolutely incredible, the rooms and surroundings are wonderful and the staff are always there to help.
Cons: At breakfast there was a poor range of fresh fruit (only melon, kiwi and pineapple) and the melon was constantly out. The meat restaurant is very expensive and not very authentic. We had burgers one night - and there were 16 euros each and the presentation consisted of a beef patty in a melted cheese sauce and lots of fries on top which wasn’t great.
7.0 Good
Pros: The best about this hotel is its magnificent position with spectacular views, and the lovely pool area and garden with countless cactus! Nice architecture, nice furnishing in the lobby. Excellent choice at breakfast.
Cons: I found the room very spartaneous and rudimentary for being a “Small Luxury Hotel”. Room size was small and decoration was very simple and normal. However, very nice bathroom. Restaurant pretty big and not really intimate. Staff could be more friendly at breakfast. Building from outside urgently needs to be repainted.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Stunning property and location, excellent service.
Cons: Drinks overly expensive. Guests all seemed to do the same thing at the same time!

6.7 Good
Pros: Amazing views. Nice pool. Comfortable and Quiet. The room had a private terrace. Most staff are friendly.
Cons: This resort just has poor record keeping or is deliberately aiming to lever more money out of guests. We hadn't thought much of it when overheard other guests arguing with the staff about 'extra' charges that had been applied over food and drinks. We experienced this ourselves when we were charged for a bottle of wine that we didn't have. When we tried to resolve they denied, and refused several times to give a refund for their mistaken charge. An unfortunate bad turn for an otherwise lovely stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great pool area and lovely views of the volcano and water. Relaxing place to stay.
Cons: Needed to walk to restaurant to get some milk which is other end of the place rather than have it at reception. Staff were nice but sometimes not helpful.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: beautiful structure, very quiet, unique position, nice rooms, beautiful pool & reception
Cons: The restaurant is not up to the standard: professional service appalling and not al all worth a 4 star hotel. Continuous confusion between the reception and the restaurant about the availability of food and the menu in the evenings, if you are not on half board (for an entire week, so we always had to leave the hotel for dinner). The whole family including young kids was abruptly woken op at 23:45 on the first day of arrival because the reception had lost our passport data and needed to put them again into the system (!!!). A lot to work is needed to bring the service at the same level as the hotel structure
5.0 Okay
Cons: mosquito hell, checkout at 10 a.m., realy bad dinner in hotel restaurant
7.5 Good
Pros: The swimming pool was great. The shop also had a fantastic array of local pottery.
Cons: Breakfast was like a cattle market. No free tables. The room was quite basic, especially the bathroom. Could do with updating.
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice property with nice amenities. It was nice having a restaurant on site. It sits right by the water. Absolutely beautiful!
Cons: The practice was extremely high compared to other locations in the same location. The bar was very limited on the drinks they could make.
7.5 Good
Pros: Pleasant staff. Great swimming pool. Parking.
Cons: Horrible smell on the bathroom. Beach near the hotel not very beautiful.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice pool area, the room was spacious and clean
Cons: The resort has a lot of unrealized potential - there is a nice rooftop bar by the sea, but no service. There are candles along all footpaths, but when no one lights them it is just dark. The restaurant has a nice location, but the staff seems a bit overworked and stressed

Pros: The hotel more than met our expectations. The hotel staff were awesome and couldn’t do enough for us. They were polite and friendly and pointed out attractions of interest to us. The pool is a great asset and was a welcome relief from a hot day’s hiking and a great place to relax. We will definitely tell our friends about the great hospitality that was afforded us.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pool infront of the apartment, tidy and in natural stones.
Cons: No towels in the room.
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff, near Vulcano hike, good value for money
Cons: All applucations led us to wrong place. Not really easy to find.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Basic but clean with friendly welcoming service from staff. Typical Italian breakfast was more than adequate.
Cons: Location was fine with a view of the crater. The only minor issue was the lack of street lighting when walking back later in the evening.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A cosy place, each room has an access to the terrace. Friendly staff.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast was a little light
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We were there out of season in May. Price 21eur, breakfast included. We enjoyed pool, water was of pleasant temperature, beautiful view of volcano. Quiet locality but not far from centre.
Cons: Everything ok.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A very nice place! Very good quality/ price.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good location, a 10min walk from the ferry terminal, beyond the area of the smelly baths, nice and spacious rooms, friendly and helpful personnel. Absolutely fantastic views of the volcano from the pool area
Cons: The pool was out of service during our stay - due to repair works - bad luck, we were told works wouldn’t last for more than a couple of days, too late for us though...
Hotel Garden - Vulcano - Building
5

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful place for a relaxing holiday, perfect quiet location close to the beach and center, amazing staff and simply the best hotel on Vulcano ( I have been to different once over the last few years). Great value as well!
4.6 Okay
Pros: Nice location but as the island is small nothing is far away. Staff were very nice.
Cons: The room was very basic and the bed was rock hard. Pillow was flat and had clearly been slept on by too many people and lost it's structure. Breakfast was very basic. WiFi didn't extend to bedrooms even though the description says there is WiFi throughout the hotel. Staff gave preference to a tour group over us when we had called several times to ask for a pick up from the port so we had to wait in the heat until they got back. Pool is a lot smaller than it seems in the photos. We spoke to the front desk about our concerns and told there was nothing they could do. Overall an incredibly disappointing stay and not worth the very steep cost. I would say this is more of a 2/3* hotel definitely NOT 4* as there was 0 luxury to speak of. I recommend do some better research than we did!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was stunning, the beach near it was really beautiful
Cons: I expected more from the garden and the pool but it was still very good
8.0 Excellent
Pros: the receptionist was very friendly
Cons: Cappuccino was not up to our expectation - in Italy we expect perfect coffee in the morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great, perfect location. Free shuttle from the ferry. Comfy bed, nice pool and close to the beach.
Cons: Mosquitos in the area, nothing to do with the hotel though.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Helpful reception and other staff, including those who dubbled as drivers, welcone snack /drink is a nice touch and generally a lovely setting ... That's what won us over... Everything else is what you expect... decent room, decent breakfast, comfy bed, balcony with nice view...
Cons: Manual keys, shower a little dated, balcony was lovely but was not a fan of the ease of access to/from our neighbours room... although if such dividers were ingroduced the view of Lipari would be compromised...
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Th3 staff were very professional and attentive
Cons: The bed wasn’t very comfortable.

A perfect place to relax and forget about everything, enjoying the perfect scenery
Cons: No restaurant on the territory
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at Hotel Eros in September 2019 and we had wonderful 10 days. The hotel is perfectly located, close to both beaches. The garden is beautiful and well maintained. Hotel Al Togo - Vulcano - Bedroom
7
7.7 Good (281 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Hotel Al Togo places you in the heart of Vulcano, within a 5-minute drive of Gran Cratere and Oasi della Salute. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. A ferry terminal shuttle is provided at no charge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location, good - all day present-staff, lower prices than in the rest of Vulcano's hotels Nice, clean pool, beautuful surroundings, in a quiet area but not too far from center. Good wifi.
Cons: The room (at least nr 12) need some refurbishments. The fridge is extremely noisy. The power supply of rooms can be switched on only if you put and turn on your key in it. It is not a card (easiest and modern solution) , but one from your set of 3 keys ( one for power supply and the 2 for entrance doors, permanently fixed on a common ring) If you go out your fridge will be disconnected from power supply. If you come back in the evening you need a pocket lamp/ or have to use your phone's lamp to find the key hole at the general switch of power. Before you go to bed if you want to lock your door, you have  to remove the keys from the power switch, close the door (without having light in the room) then try to find again in the dark the keyhole at he general switch, and so on... The breakfast is basic and poor, the same in every day ( it would be better to increase the accommodation price and offer good breakfast or just a coffee and a croissant  and not to call it breakfast) The owners luck is that the staff is very kind and make you to forget these not guest friendly "technical "solutions.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I got a very good deal and excellent value for money. Friendly staff. Very comfortable bed, good continental breakfast (other options available on request). All accommodation is on the ground floor, no stairs except for a couple of steps to reach the swimming pool and breakfast area. Dining table on the room's porch. An easy walk from the port and to the thermal pool, a beach, the volcano and the supermarket.
Cons: cannot think of anything bad
4.0 Okay
Pros: Italian-style breakfast - but fine, served by the pool helpful staff (but only basic english)
Cons: the pool at the beginning of the accommodation was dirty, it was cleaned up later (probably when more guests came) a lot of mosquitoes (maybe due to unclean pool) older equipment low signal of wifi At last of my stay, I was surprised. The receptionist tried to me explain (I don't know what exactly) about payment. She showed me the amount I paid right on my stay. I didn't understand. Then she showed me 10%. I didn't understand. Tourist tax? Did she want a tip? I asked... She finally smiled and said everything is ok. If she wanted a tip it was a bit cheeky. My rating would be higher. This not happened to me yet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff.Location was excellent. Very close to volcano and 10 minute walk to centre.
Cons: Excellent value.
7.5 Good
Pros: Quite area, friendly stuff
Cons: A bit distant from the main attractions

Pros: A very quite place, away from the center, family friendly
Cons: Slightly confusing communication around the check in (people replying to emails were directing us to call the lady at check in on an Italian number), while dismissing the fact they were at the check in in the morning every morning. It all worked out for fine though
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful and so was our stay!
Cons: It takes 15min walk from the port.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location on Vulcanello but I think it would be a long walk to town in the heat. We rented a Vespa to explore the whole island and that was a great decision. The resort has new management and/or been relaunched; we were lucky to be the only guests for much of our stay. Antonio was very helpful, picking us up at ferry, hooking us up with the Vespa rental place, recommendations on where to eat etc

Cons: There were no windows in the room, just the glass door
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent - Location, facilities, breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pretty much everything. Host is great.
6.3 Good
Pros: The best part of the appartment was the rooftop terrace with a stunning view of the volcano and the stars in the evening. And the location, very close to the port and the walk up to the volcano. Wonderful recommendation for a restaurant, Maurizio, had dinner there and absolutely agree with the recommendation, food was great and service too! Just down the road from the appartment.
Cons: The room is very small and quite stuffy with a smell of the toilet. The place is not very soundproof, there was a very loud disco outside until midnight and some fireworks that kept us up until midnight. Definately need earplugs. It was ok for us, because we were only staying there one night on our way back to Milazzo, but I would't recommend the small room for a longer stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellents hosts, comfortable and very clean room, great location on the Island. We recommend it.
6.7 Good
Pros: The breakfast was ok.
Cons: Only one door to the room for natural light - no windows. We booked away from the center hoping for quiet nights but the area was very noisy on the two nights we stayed with very poor sound insulation in the accomodation. We could hear shouting and loud boisterous partying until at least 1am. Not really suitable area for a family.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: the position and the kindness of the staff. the terrace and the silence

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, close to one of the most beautiful beach in Vulcano, stunning sunset from the terrace. Great choice for the breakfast with high quality. Lovely staff, very friendly and always keen to help. Great also the shuttle service from and to the seaport.
Cons: Nothing really, Too many mosquitoes but that depends on the natural reserve and a little pond close to the hotel, but it's part of the nature of the island
7.1 Good
Pros: Very good location with a private black sand beach. Breakfast is pretty good with a lot of choice. Our suite was great with a very nice see view. The massage was good with a correct price. The suite was quite big.
Cons: It is crazy but the kitchen of the suite has nothing except 2 glasses and a fridge. There is a microwave but not powered. We had to plug it ourselves and not sure we had the right... At the desk they said it was 20€ / day to have forks, knifes, plates and at least one pan. Absolutely unexpected and unbelievable for the price. Staff was ok but not so friendly except the guy at the beach who was cool. Fresh orange juice at the breakfast would be appreciated in addition to the industrial one.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel with perfect location- by the beach, walking distance up to 5min to local shops/ restaurants. Great breakfast and lunch a’la carte. The room was big and very comfortable. From the balcony we had a view of a pool. Rooms and common areas were very clean aesthetic. Beach with sun beds and umbrellas was well organized and tidy. All the stuff was very helpful. Although be prepared to buy a mosquito spray on Vulcano There wasn’t a thing we didn’t like!

6.7 Good
Pros: Amazing views.

7.5 Good
Pros: Views beach sunset
Cons: Unable to call front desk Staff seemed a bit unorganized No wait staff on beach when we were there.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good location (50 meters from the ferry terminal), a great view to a harbour and volcano. The terrace was really cool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, convenient room with a view to the sea and Vulcano, the breakfast was delicious.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place with super breakfast, very close to the beaches, ferries and the sulfur mud. The owners were very nice and helpful, they borrowed us beach towels and allowed us to take a last shower before the ferry. Highly recommended.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and recently redecorated. Lovely bathroom and amazing terrace facing the harbour. The owner was very kind and so was the house keeper. Breakfast was very good too, we had the classic granita with panna & brioche. We have really enjoyed our staying at Faraglione Hotel and would go back there for sure.
Cons: If I had to look for something that I didn't like 100%, it would be the fact that the terrace was in common with all the other rooms on the same floor, meaning I could not leave anything outside (eg. swimming suit to dry) and that at night (at about 1am) some of the guests were sitting outside having a great time, while we wanted to sleep. But once we asked them if they could be quiet, they toned it down. So really, nothing that we didn't like!
7.0 Good
Pros: it is a good hotel, theyhelped us a lot
Cons: poor breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Simple but nice, good-located hotel. The breakfast was sweet Italian, enough for a good start of the day. Sunrises on the terrase are awesome!
Cons: Location by the port means sometimes also smoke of arriving ferries. It didn't spoil our impression though. What I found really weird and disturbing is an alarm button of the panel of light switches. I came in the dark room, saw the switches on the wall, pressed one of the equal white buttons and heard the alarm in the corridor. I wasn't sure was it my fault or it was just coincidence. And how can I stop it then. Reception is 3 levels below, it's 23 o'clock. Thanks to the neighbour who kindly explained I should press the same button one more time. As I turned the light I saw that the only difference of the light and alarm switches is a small bell-pictogramm on the alarm buttom. But of course you cannot see it in the dark room searching for the light switches. Nothing extremely bad happened but it was an awkward situation.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very clean and spacious. Close to ferry, volcano walk, mud.
Cons: Facing ocean also means facing out over all traffic embarking and dissembarking from ferry. One coffee comes with breakfast, then you pay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location perfect, view from the window excellent :)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, just opposite the harbour with a fantastic view. The room is spacious and quiet; the air conditioning and wifi work well. Unlike our previous place, the blinds closed properly so we could get a good night's sleep without being woken up by the early morning sun. We opted for the traditional sicilian breakfast (granita caffé con panna e brioche) but they serve continental breakfast too.
Cons: Check out a bit too early! They didn't really clean the room on our second day, but only tidied up. However, the place was very clean when we got there. There is not lift and the hotel is on the second floor, so may not be suitable for older or frail people with a lot of lugguage.
