Clean, comfortable, newer, easy to find. Highway noise. Should be fine if you aren't on the end next to the highway.
The morning breakfast was simply the best we've ever had almost anywhere that we've stayed. The staff that prepared the breakfast did an amazing job and the variety and quality of the food and the service was just outstanding. They're to be congratulated! Best Breakfast in St. George and many, many other places that we've stayed. Thanks!!
Great place!!!! Highly recommend it!!!
We forgot two hats and they were nice and held them for us till we came back two days later. The room was dirty there was sand and skittles in a corner and a wet used washcloth in the bathroom, a coffee stain in the side table i was disappointed.
It was reasonably priced. Beds felt worn. Location close to freeway.
The breakfast was phenomenal! The room was great!
Friendly staff, very good breakfast, reasonable rates.
Location was good Bathroom was dirty with hair from previous guests on the fixtures.
It was quite. Having a maid that doesn't speak English. So when returning to the room, clean towels and coffee were both sitting on the desk top. Nothing was cleaned, dirty towels on the floor and beds not made. Had to go down to the front desk to let them know.
Very Comfortable with the conviences of home. Sitting table/work station, reading/sitting couch with divider to sleeping area, lighting was good, bathroom has very nice vanity/mirrored area with eye make up remover cloth & toiletries, refrigerator that is empty clean & available to use( not packed with a bunch of expensive items to rip u off.) Microwave & coffee, pool ,guiet. Most of all the breakfast was the best of all the places we stayed. I will look for clarion suites to stay at from now on on my trips. Thank you Just for feedback - We have a( gluten free member in our family that has stomach issues. Can't have a lot of foods due to seasonings, wheat, flour, etc, etc limited on type of food can eat. Types of acceptable foods boiled eggs, bananas, corn tortias, cheerios, ketchup without high frutoses to put on potatoes. : ) thank you a nice stay.
Hard to find anything good to say, but maybe the price is reasonable. 1. Room is dirty, had weird smell, and saw at least one bug. 2. Parking spaces are tiny 3. Access is from one side of the street, meaning you have to cut the block to get in from the main areas. 4. Sink had no stopper. 5. Room had no coffee pot 6. Room had a stove, but no dishes or utensils 7. Furniture is pathetic. 8. Bed sucks 9. WIFI is non-existent
The way the room was set up was cozy and both beds had a privacy feel. Bathroom area was clean and elegant. Carpets were new and clean. Beds were kind of hard.
Clean rooms, kitchenette, basic amenities, friendly staff.
It was comfortable. Super comfy beds and linens There was a microwave and fridge as we expected in the kitchenette. But there were no dishes or silverware. We ended up needing to buy a Pyrex measuring cup so we could make our coffee (pour over) and oatmeal.
A groups of us spent 3 days in St George. We were all very impressed with the clean and modern rooms. The staff was very professional and polite. The price is also great. Highly recommend.
We actually like everything at this place, the ubication, very clean, we have everything we need. Refrigerator, microway, table,. But the most we like is the you feel like home. We really enjoy it! I defenelly recomend this Chalet place!
I loved the full kitchen in the room. Saves money on going out (not much in St george anyway). You have to bring your own kitchenware though. It's also just a 5 minute drive to some pretty good bouldering too.
Great location right downtown, super nice staff, large rooms with kitchenette and couch. Pretty good deal for the price. The room smelled of cleaning products, I think the cleaning staff went a little overboard with pine sol. I guess it's good that they cleaned the rooms. We had a baby crawling on the floor and she picked up a lot of gross black dirt from the floor, so they weren't doing a great job of cleaning the carpet. There was a fold-out bed in the couch, but a dresser was located in front of this couch so you couldn't actually pull it out. What's the point if you can't actually use it? IT also didn't have sheets or look like it had been cleaned (ever), so I got the impression that they didn't expect anyone to actually use the fold-out bed. It would have been nice to be able to use it if we could have. Also the TV was very small and oriented in a weird location relative to the bed.
Reliable fair pleasant safe clean Location
Clean simple room recently remodeled. Creepy people stay there because it is very inexpensive.
Centrally located. Updated. Clean. Helluva lot better than the Days Inn across the street. The only ice machine I could find was in the office/lobby area.
Not a clean place. Place was falling apart and not well kept. Will stay somewhere else next time.
Close to freeway Just a place to crash while passing through. A/C by far the noisiest of any motel I've visited.
room by the pool no micro in room
The staff was friendly. It was clean but old. If you don't require luxury this is a good value.
Clean room ..good for night stay when exausted driving. Stairs no elevater..room bit small..
Very nice staff. Clean room and bathroom. Nicely decorated. In room fridge and microwave were nice to have. Even accommodated St. George Marathon runners with an early continental breakfast. Pool felt great. The foot board/frame of the bed left me with a huge bruise. The bed is a cool looking design, but the frame jets out and I whacked my shin on it several times. Also, there was no bathtub in the room. There was a shower, but I was expecting a tub.
The ladies in the front office were friendly and helpful. The beds, the breakfast, the mildew in the shower...
The staff went above and beyond the call of duty.
The staff was very friendly, while checking in, we were given recommendations for things to do as a family. Great wifi connection. We had problems with the cable TV on day one (which they resolved the next day), our security latch at the top of the door was broken, we had an old Danish left under one bed and one of the days we had light brown water come out of the faucet in the tub.
Close enough to go to the show. The bed was so uncomfortable and was wrapped in plastic which when you or your partner moved it was so loud it woke you up.just a terrible night.needs a refresher.
The rooms and bathrooms were old and dingy. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the room itself did not feel clean. The staff was unfriendly and rude, as if you were an inconvenience for them to stay there. Overall a horrible experience.
Clean, no funny hotel/motel smells, shampoo and conditioners smelled great, towels were fluffy, loved microwave, fridge AND toaster oven, though kind of expected a coffee maker considering other appliances, but had good coffee at breakfast so I didn't mind. Beds were mediocre at best, no better than cheap Motel6 beds, this was my ONLY complaint, even then they weren't the worst I've paid to sleep on!
The staff there was really nice and helpful. The room was clean and well taken care of. I would recommend to someone who is in St. George to visit. I can only think of three things I didn't like. The bed was not that comfortable. Very stiff. The bath tub leaked water very slowly so you couldn't stay inn as long as you would like. Lastly, I didn't find ants in the room.
It was simple, economic, and nice which is what we were looking for. Room was nice and clean and facilities seem well kept. Breakfast is included and was just perfect for our needs. I would come back to it Pool was really cold the entire time we were there (3 days)
Staff was nice. Good location next to restaurants. Refrigerator & microwave in room. Bed was very uncomfortable. Carpet and shower looked old and dinghy.
Beds are way to hard.
It was walking distance to Ancestor Square and historic St George. The beds were not comfortable at all, the towels were small and tattered, the complimentary bottles of shampoo weren't big enough to wash one persons hair. There was one bar of soap in the bathroom so we had to use the same bar to wash our hands at the sink and our bodies in the shower. The shower head was angled straight at the back end of the tub and couldn't be adjusted. The tub was very slippery and I fell once while showering. There was no do not disturb hanger for our door so housekeeping woke us up in the morning. The door wouldn't latch unless we slammed it.
Whole made waffles. Yum! Room with kitchen. Low price.
Nothing Everything. Very very low budget and it shows.
the air condition was soooo cold and good. very spacious and roomy , especially for the money. location great also. who shuts down breakfast at 9 a.m. when you have a full house the night before? also, the bedroom wall was dirty with spills.. the morning attendant did not really care about any feedback.
The bed was cozy, the room was huge. THERE WERE NO BUGS. Could use some deep cleaning is the books and crannies.
Not much. Bed was so hard unable to sleep. Room had a bad smell. Breakfast wasn't much. Had to go the hotel next to ours to eat. Owned by the same people??? Not cheap. Not much parking. TV remote did not work. TV was ancient.
Nothing. I did not like anything about this hotel.
Friendly Staff. Close to Zion National Park. Comfortable Stay. Quiet stay. A bit further from main shopping areas of St. George.
Friendly and courteous staff made checking in easy. The rooms were clean and well furnished, though we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. The rooms are a bit aged, and it really seems like there's no insulation in the walls (the cold seeped in fairly quickly; there were heaters in the room, but they seemed to struggle). The WiFi didn't work very well either. Finally, one nit-picky thing, I'd recommend bringing your own pillow(s)--the ones the room offer no support at all.
I liked that the bathrooms have been remodeled. I also liked the free wifi, the location and the friendly staff. There was some mold on the existing wood windows from condensation that needs to be replaced.
Cheap room, centrally located for work. My room had a mystery stain on the floor, the couple next to me fought all night management didn't do anything until the man threw the woman to the ground and the cops were called. I was informed by a police officer that the hotel was a popular place for drug deals. Will not be staying here ever again. Would rather pay a little more for a better stay. Plus I beleive they are stealing cable from the best western right next door as your screen on power up of TV says best western. Wifi is chrap. Have I listed enough reasons not to stay here?!?
Location and beds. The beds were comfortable with very thin sheets Very tired little rooms. Carpeting is grimy and needs to be retretched before someone trips and falls
Not bad for the money
Spacious room. Free WiFi and cable. Terrible customer service. Cockroaches on the bed. No toiletries for the bathroom at all. Charged me 15 dollars more than my reservation online was made for because I had my two year old with me.
Close to DOWNTOWN, restaurants, drug store. Totally recommend
The price is what attracted us to the Sands. Overall, it met our needs for this trip. The continental breakfast wasn't over the top but was enough (waffles, cereal, toast, coffee and juice). The cleanliness was very lacking, but not completely unexpected for a budget motel. Also, the hot water couldn't really be called hot. It was barely warm enough for a shower, definitely not a bath. Not really a problem for me but it bugged my wife.
Good value Not super clean Staff not so friendly
Quiet and the owner was nice and pleasant to talk to once I arrived. Was offered a breakfast for the next morning. I wasn't able to reach anyone for several hours after I booked the room, I wanted to confirm and infirm them I wouldn't be there till late. I ended up contacting this provided to notify the hotel that we couldn't contact them. When I called for directions, while on my way I was told it was exit 79, which was wrong, that was the total cost of the room if you were calling to book. Then I got to the hotel and was told my room was not in the Sands hotel, it was behind the Sands at this Inn And Suites (long term stay place) which people also live in as housing. The room itself was okay, definitely not worth the $75+ a night. There was what looked like a cockroach in the bathroom. I was so very tired from driving over 20 hours over the past day, so when I fell asleep I slept okay until twice I woke up because something jumped on my hand and then blanket. What kind of bug it was? I don't know..... But I was tired enough I just flicked it off and slept. My main issue is, is that rooms of this level of cleanliness or style and semi deceptive, should Not be able to charge these types of rates. Especially when your not even staying AT the place you reserved. i have stayed in worse hotels yes, but I was aware of what I was or wasn't getting and I wasn't paying such ridiculous rates.
Clean bathroom, well lit parking, quiet Hot tub wasn't operational and pool are in general was somewhat poorly maintained
Quiet, easy access, friendly, clean, simple Pillows were awfully small for comfort
It was close to the places I needed to be at. Bathroom fan was filthy and the tub was filthy/in need of repair. Despite the non-smoking signs, the rooms smelled of smoke and it felt like people had smoked in there. Hot tub was not filled/working you can hear the people in the room next door if you are in the bathroom since the fan and the water are loud--thin walls most of the light fixtures didn't work Flat pillows
rate/location Got a kitchenette so we could cook breakfast, but they don't provide any pots/pans or plates or bowls etc, just an old tired stove. One of the gfi electrical outlets pushed in the wall when we pushed. Flat pillows, hard bed.
