We did not even have to see the room to want to run. The staff was not friendly and seemed inconvenienced that we were there to check in.
proximity to family I was visiting loud and smelled of smoke
Staff was very friendly Room was clean but needs to be updated.
Easy access from the interstate. Plan to stay there again. Nothing at this point.
The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was nice and quiet and it was an easy drive to get back onto I90 to head home. The shower curtain in our room smelled like cigarettes, although nothing else in the room did. Also the included breakfast was a little skimpy.
It was close enough to the airport and local stores. Not a very pleasant stay. Now I know why they have carpets in hotels. The upgrade amenities could have been better spent on getting comfortable beds. They charge for travel toothbrushes....what hotel does that? I thought those were normally complementary. And the icicles hanging near the back door...talk about a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Nothing Bath thub faucet leaked. The constant dripping sound was not pleasant. The bathroom fan rattled. The toilet flush lever did not operate properly. The room wasn't very clean, hair, dust and grey stains in the bathtub. The second floor had a constant lingering smell of pot. The staircase door is very loud. Patrons were talking, laughing, yelling, cursing, running, throwing things from my arrival at around midnight, up until around 3 am. Highway and planes(?) can be heard clearly. The staff never intervened to keep the noise down. I didn't sleep.
Location and price I only had one trash can. I had to go to the bathroom every time I wanted to throw out something. The bed sheet also had a bloodstain on it. I don't know if that was mine or someone else cuz I noticed the presence of mosquitos. Coffee machine was broken
Rooms were very dirty. After 2 days, we went to a super 8 for the other 3 days we needed.
Location, price, clean, simple. Smell of tobacco in "non-smoking" room, some loud guest chatter on Saturday night.
I was arriving late in Rochester and leaving my hotel to fly back to Boulder at 3:30 am. I just needed a quick, close stop to sleep for a few hours before I traveled again. I was traveling alone at that point. I booked the room based on Kayak reviews and also it not having a presence on the bed bug registry (I'm a little unhinged when it comes to possible infestations of any kind). I'd never been to Rochester and wanted something super close and convenient to the airport, clean, no frills, etc. because I really needed just the bed. I arrived and checked in just fine/paid for my room. I found my way to it through a series of long empty halls on the second floor. The room was fine, pretty much what I expected...clean and basic. I unpacked the few things I would need for early morning and sat down on the bed and turned on the weather channel. About five minutes later, the room phone rang. I picked it up and the voice on the other end said, "This is the front desk. Do you need your room serviced?" I said I didn't and he asked if I was sure. I said I was and hung up. The room was a little dusty and I thought maybe it had been unoccupied for a stretch since I didn't see another soul on the whole second floor. I didn't give the phone call a second thought until a few minutes later when the room phone rang again. I picked it up and the same voice said, "This is the front desk and we need you to come down here." I asked why and he said, "You just need to come down here right now." My mind raced from maybe there was a fire or a death at home or my rental car got hit. The head covered a lot of possibilities quickly. Not understanding and starting to freak out a little bit, I asked what this pertained to and he said, "Ma'am, you need to get down here now." I was confused and stumbling and said something about being in the middle of something, so could I come down in 15 minutes. He said, "No. You need to come now. You didn't pay for your room and if you don't come down here now, the police are going to take you." I was shaking at this point and asked, "Take me where?" He said, "Into custody." I said, "What for?" and again he said, "You didn't pay for your room." I was very upset and nervous about what was going on and insisted I did pay when I checked in and that he was standing right there when I slid my card and had it approved. I also told him that I have text alerts for all transactions from my bank and that I got one immediately when I swiped my card, plus I had my receipt sitting right in front of me. He said, "You didn't pay and if you don't come down here right now, the police are coming up to get you." I said to please send them because I didn't understand what is going on and hung up. I immediately used my cell to call 911 and told the dispatcher what went down. He told me to lock the deadbolt and stay in my room. He said no police were in the lobby and that someone was either trying to lure me into the hall to do me harm or trying to get me out of
beds we like sleeping on lumpy hard ground all check-ins were outside so i had to stand in the cold person on duty was rude not in a good area shower did not work properly room was cold and drafty even with the heat on door was worn and looked like it may have been kicked in at one point room was very dated it looked like it was never updated from the 70's
Calm and peace No complaint
bad service, unfriendly owners, cold rooms, virtually no blankets
Was not aware that they are currently under renovation. We weren't disturbed with noise. So I guess the price won over on appearance.

The guy who was filling in at the front desk was very friendly, the regular staff were outright mean and nasty ... worse hotel experience ever! Check out is 11am & they banged on the door like the Police at 11:03 to tell me I need to get out. A horror!!! The staff was mean and uncooperative. They acted like they were being bothered during check in & when I had to return to get the wifi password they refused to write it down and it took 3 trips to front the desk to get the correct password.
There was nothing about this establishment to like. The room looked/smelled horrible. I felt dirty just standing in the room. Seedy, is the best fitting description.Thankfully one of the only lodgings I've stayed in that the window opens on the second floor. I was able to elevate some of the stench.
The price was ok and the tv was average but nothing special The hotel is a dump there was holes in the bathroom door and no door knob. The bathroom fan was obnoxious loud and the entire room stunk. No vending or ice machine and the window was broken so the smell was stuck inside
The price Smelled like cigarettes, was under renovation and was not in good shape. It seemed like each room was made up of broken pieces of other hotel rooms.
Location on Rte. 104 between Rochester and Syrcause, along Lake Ontario. Scary, SCARY place. The exterior in TERRIBLE DISREPAIR, holes in siding, etc. Foyer and lobby looks like a PRISON. The lighting was awful, the furniture in the lobby looks like it was brought in off the curb. Room relatively clean; decor outdated, ugly.
The price Condition of the building needs paint.
The bathroom Almost everything
Location is best No cold water or ice available. Balcony is there but there is no entrance to get in.
The aircontioning didn't work, kept shutting off. The plug in tub didn't work, water kept draining. Room was supposed to come with Breakfast, we hoped for at least coffee, juice but once again dissatisfied. There was nothing. We reserved two double beds, I called the hotel to verify because I'm disabled and can't use stairs. When we went to check in they had given room away. The only room left on main floor just had a king size bed. We were traveling with our granddaughter.
You get what you pay for... Unpleasant odors. Non-professional staff.
