Room were spacious and had the expected amenities. I didn't really have the breakfast, but the cook on staff and variety went far above what most hotels offer. The reviews online were very weak, sometimes below similar Holiday Inns. I nearly didn't choose the hotel because of the weak ratings by others. The Ayers should have much better ratings for value for money, some mention of the breakfast, and the range of restaurants next to the hotel.
Location was convenient Upon my arrival a young lady told me check in isn't until 3, which I had a 7am flight in & really would have liked to take a nap after my travels. I should have paid closer attention to that, but that was my own fault. She did apologize for the inconvenience & said I could check back around 2:30 as she was currentlh going to check the rooms. Once I was able to check in I came back & the man at the counter was incredibly rude. When I walked in he was arguing with a couple guests about something another clerk told them. Once they'd left he was mumbling about them & the other clerk. While he was checking me in he was struggling to find a key card and again started mumbling about the previous clerk not putting things in the right place/restocking properly. Once I checked in I figured things might improve. They did not. There were ants in my room & the 'free' wifi didn't work- they gave the option to pay for several packages. While I was visiting for a small vacation I still had work that needed to be done so I brought my laptop to get a few things accomplished & was unable to. Both are minor problems however still not what I was anticipating. When I was going to check out the same man was at the desk along with the woman from earlier the day before. He was being loud & they were arguing about who knows what. Just based on the unprofessionalism of that man alone I'd never return to this hotel or any other Extended Stay.
It was quiet and close to the 91. There are many places to shop and eat right around the corner. It was very close to my destination which was great.
Main lobby is nice, toiletries were great quality Front desk staff member was short and rude. Outdated rooms that need a lot of touching up.
I liked the late check out. It was 12:00. And the floors seemed to be really thick so I couldn't hear any noise from the other rooms. Nothing
Huge parking fee! Whatever rate you see, add $16 to it before you decide. There are other options in 1~2miles with better value and free parking. Moreover, Hilton has no breakfast, while others do.
The only pros to this location are the location and the beds. I have never received such poor customer service at a 4 star hotel. My husband and I called around noon day of our reservation to confirm that we wouldn't lose our room and were reserved for a king size bed, we provided our confirmation # and were reassured that our 7pm estimated arrival wouldn't affect anything. Turns out that was a miscommunication. After being placed in a double room directly across from the elevators, we returned to the front desk to rectify the situation. The employee whom helped us was completely lacking in compassion, barely looked at us, and treated us as if our requests were a bother to her. After being told they were fully booked, we then asked that we at least be placed in a quieter area. The 2nd room was directly across from the ice machine and had a rattling AC vent. We then returned down to the front desk, because if you try to call your phone call goes unanswered, and asked to speak to a manager in order to explain our frustrations. He also was not accommodating and treated us unkindly, in fact he harshly told us that that is "what we get" for booking through a third party site. Finally after his departure, the poor employee whom received us that 3rd time, expressed her surprise that he didn't help us and chose to rectify the situation herself placing us in another king size bed room at the end of a hallway. (She had noticed the amount of times we had returned to the front desk). There is no excuse for the miscommunication and levels of customer service we received from this establishment.
We enjoyed the comfort of the bed. We especially loved the gym facility and classes offered - definitely worth the extra fee. Gift shops were nice and had needed items. It was a little pricey, but that was okay. Close to CVS and Walgreens. Nice walk to Disney. Starbucks gets very busy. Our bathroom could have been cleaner. The hotel should have complimentary wifi, like comparable area hotels.
Clean very well maintained lobby/bar/restaurant. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bedding was clean and cozy. Location was good. Shower was horrible. The water was either hot hot or cold cold. U could not get warm water no matter what time of day (morning, late morning or late at night). The ceiling in the shower had peeling paint and drywall (leaving a hole in the ceiling) Room was in need of some updating. Restaurant was way over priced. $16 a day for parking
Excellent fast check out system Check in system a little slow
Location was good Everything else sucked .
Room was clean and comfortable. Easy walk to theme parks. Ticket purchase convenience Parking fee is high and availability is terrible when there's a convention center event. Our room was a *mile* from the hotel lobby
I liked the location, also the family environments It was old and could see wear and tear in a lot of places. Last time i stayed in London it was the entire opposite!
interior was nice when we came inside the room They only clean our bathroom one day for a 2 stay day
We always like staying at Hilton Anaheim when we come to Disneyland. It is close enough to the shuttle parking lot that we can just walk there, saving us money we would have spent on parking. It also helps when some of us want to stay at the park longer. Those who need a break can return to the hotel to rest. The Hilton has a Starbucks and a food court. It also has a restaurant and bar. The service is great too. The room was clean and spacious. So glad there is a fridge. There was a long line at Starbucks in the morning. I guess we all wanted coffee at the same time.
I liked the lobby and the restaurant(everything in the first floor) very comfortable and relaxing, good drinks too I did not like that early check in was not given until about after 2:30. We were waiting for about 3 hours for a room "to be cleaned" Workers start cleaning early in the morning There was a knock on the door at 9:30 am (house keeping wanted to enter to clean). The excuse for early check in was that there was not any rooms that were clean(total lie). Hotel was a nice hotel, wish they made it all about the customers like many other hotels do.
It was quiet. Clean. Swimming pool and spa were great. Staff was friendly. The grounds were beautiful, fish pond, lots of secluded area to hang out in. No MICROWAVE in the room, shower had no water pressure, tub drained real slow.
Very nice and spacious rooms. Hotel is very pretty and has a nice layout. Every staff member I came in contact with was very nice, informative, and accommodating. Kids and parents next to us were arguing and screaming for 2 hours. Walls seemed very thin or they were extremely loud.
Very comfortable, good service, lovely salt water pool!
Great place rooms were huge. Loved the shuttle service to Disney. Rooms were a little dated and the restaurant could have been a little more attentive.
Staff was extremely friendly, kind and helpful. We were upgraded for free and they tended to every thing we requested immediately and friendly.
Shuttle to the park, friendly staff, big room, nice pool Shower drain slightly clogged, tv remote needed battery, overpriced restaurant
I Was a little put off by some of the negative reviews but we found it to be an excellent place to stay with no problems great room and staff. Room service was fast and of excellent quality and their shuttles were on time and ran quickly and efficiently The only thing that I disliked was the $16 per day charged for parking. As a guest at a hotel I thought that them charging this fee was wrong and disrespectful of the customer that had chosen their hotel over many many other options
People nice and helpful, room was very clean and comfortable, and the shuttle made it easy to come and go to parks. Would love to stay there again and stay longer Parking fee surprised me but not a big deal
Large clean rooms , nice atmosphere, pool area spacious and lots of seating. Our room we were in #1180 was adjacent to an elevator which was very loud early in the morning and at night. I would recommend not getting this room. We liked the hotel other than that.
As we pulled up my kids said, "are we staying in a castle"? we loved how big the rooms were and how accommodating the hotel was with providing us with a crib so we didn't have I travel with our own.
Very close to the park, the bathroom was nice. Room was spaciousz The floors in the main hall were so dirty for the duration on our three day stay. No vacuuming at all. The headboards in our room were peeling - both of them.
Close to Disneyland and it's a nice area No body soap or toilet paper was in the room and had to pay to park and pay for internet
After discussing with manager Francisco for some time he reluctantly offered some compensation other than a token $50. The convention center is right out the front door and parking is the best for the Anaheim convention center. I prepaid for my room over 3 months in advance and Marriott decided they could make more money by selling my already paid for and booked room to someone else and then tell I'm sorry. So after having my money, making interest on it they then sold the same room to someone else at a higher price and said sorry we don't have a room for you, sorry for the inconvenience. We'll put you (my wife, kids and myself) in another hotel away from your convention where you are an exhibitor, cosplaying and on panels. Unfortunately this is the 4th time in a row that Marriott has severely under performed. This is no longer an isolated incident but a complete brand change from the Marriott I have always know. I would rate them at a 2 star at best with the new corporate image they have chosen. However the alternate hotel where they referred my Hyatt House was awesome. I wish they were at the convention center and I had booked with them. Marriott said I will have to contact Kayak to get refunded on the night that that Marriott did not have a room for me. Just one more hassle and present from Marriott for me. Oh and they gave me a "I'm sorry give bag" in the room with a different guest name on (evidently they did this to a min of 5 other individuals) and the 4 little chocolates we so awful that my 8 year old sone who will eat anything asked me if he could spit it out in the trash. I of course said yes and I had the same simultaneous reaction. I'll leave it at this.
The housekeeping staff was very efficient and really tried to accommodated my needs. Having to pay for Wi-Fi (I think it was $12.95 for regular service and $14.95 for high speed). And for parking: $24.00 per nite. I'm guessing this might be the industry standard in this area, but what a shame
The hotel, staff, location, facilities and basically all needs were very well addressed and made the stay wonderful. I couldn't have found a better place to stay to make the trip to Disneyland a great experience I really have no complaints about any aspect of my stay at the hotel
I really like the staff there was a young lady that helped me at the desk she was amazing. I had booked thru a third party and there was some errors she corrected them and got me adjoining rooms for my kids that drive in the next day.
Gluten free food
We were a couple wanting a king size bed, which we reserved and the hotel gave us a room eith two doubles and would not make any accomodations for the fact that they allegedly did not have any king beds. So we opted to go somewhere else.
LOCATION the rooms under the rate that you offer me, are old and dirty rooms. this situation happened to me several times. On front desk, as soon as they saw that my reservation is mad by you, they make me feel like low profile customer.
There were ants in my bathroom on the day I arrived and I told about that to the people at the lobby but housekeeping never came within 20 minutes, which they promised. When I left I told them what happened but they never did anything to compensate for the filthy bathroom that I got. Very disappointed.
Extremely close to Anaheim convention center where I was attending a trade show. Very pleasant and accommodating staff. Comfortable lobby bar for relaxation after a day on the trade show floor. Good restaurant and food. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any business traveler.
The balcony was a cool area. The heating/cooling unit was EXTREMELY loud! The room itself was okay, but to charge guests that are staying at the hotel $25 per night for parking is pretty ridiculous and excessive. Furthermore, this hotel still charges its guests for internet acess!!?? This is the first time I have been charged for WIFI in California is the past 5 years. Get with the times, Marriot. The hotel wasn't that great to begin with.
Great loacation and staff was outstanding Noise from fitness club could be heard every morning beginning at 5:00 AM. Restaurant prices were a bit high for goods received
Loved the location, room cleaness, staff was very friendly and bed was confortable. Breakfast buffet was a bit over priced.
The staff was extremely nice and helpful!
This is our 4th stay in Hyatt regency orange county this represent how we are loyal to this hotel we just feel like home
The staff was AMAZING there! we loved out stay. The hotel is a bit dated but it was a great value for the deal we got.
Great Hotel. Good Facilities. $28.00 to Park my car was a bit much
Rooms and Resturant
The hotel has an amazing staff. The two restaurants are very good and offer really good food unlike most hotel restaurants. We had the one bedroom suite and it was very clean. The hotel has its own shuttle bus going to and from Disney check out is at 1200 am. I paid $170 per night and it was far better than the Fairfield inn by Marriott which is located right across the main entrance to Disney Land. There is a Starbucks inside the hotel!! The prices in the little store of the hotel are somewhat ridiculous but it is a great hotel. Parking is rediculous with $27 per night. One Bus is not enough during peak hours to get guests to park.
I have had a big problem staying there due to the feather pillows. The air system is very dusty with a poor filter. The pillows are full of dust. I had a bad allergic reaction to the dust. The service was very good.
Easy access via shuttle which is convenient. The shuttle/parking should be free for guests... I wouls have given an extra star for the extra value.
The hotel lobby was beautiful and the employees were very nice. We had 3 different groups of family coming in and the person who checked us in gave us top notch service and was able to let us check-into our rooms early. He even let us have free shuttle tickets for everyone for Disneyland. I definitely will be back. With a group of 12 of us it was much easier to have the breakfast buffet at the restaurant in the lobby. it turned out great!
It was clean, convenient for our conference, room was comfortable, staff and service was above expectations. Hotel food/restaurant/bar was good. Also close to other restaurants.
Staff was very courteous and friendly. Excellent customer service. The location was great. Loved taking the shuttle to Disneyland from the hotel. Hotel is well kept. Loved the lobby - spacious. The Starbucks, gift shop and deli. Even thought we felt self parking was expenses we appreciated that the parking was adjacent to the hotel. Overall we had a wonderful time at the Hyatt Regency Orange County and we look forward to staying there again. The mattress' were not comfortable. The pillows looked worn, pretty flat. Housekeeping didn't leave us enough towels on two days. We got confused when we drove up to the hotel and staff (not sure if they were all Valet staff) came to our car and immediately asked us if self park or valet. and began to pull our bags out of the card. We had no idea what we were going to do without checking in first. That was a bit overwhelming. We felt self parking was too expenses.
Close to Disneyland The in house restaurant has aweful service. I went when there were less than 10 customers and never had water or even saw our waiter. Other tables were requesting their waiter. Not a good experience. I wont stay here again.
Location to Disneyland. The A/C did not work in the room, as soon as we walked in the hotel room there was a strong weird smell. We had to leave the sliding door open to vent out the smell. Not to mention the ants roaming freely in the room. I also noticed a flaw in security, as in I cannot recall seeing any on the premises. One is able to walk through the hotel like nothing, I did not feel safe at this hotel.
Location. Quality not inpar with other Sheraton hotels
Easy to find. Easy access to Disneyland from where they're located Checking in and not being told about the fee for parking. The broken shower Possible black mold growing in the corners of the shower With this being called a 4 star hotel I was very disappointed in the facility.
Thin exterior walls. Could hear all the service vehicles making deliveries and pick ups early in the morning.
Earlier check in. Charged $18 for parking.
The staff were very helpful and really went the extra mile to make our stay a special one. Our room had an amazing view of the park and the pool was a great spot to relax in, and the poolside bar was very affordable! Would recommend staying here to anyone.
Great hotel, cleanliness was great, staff were extra nice, for a big hotel close to Disneyland it was not overly crowded Hotel has no shuttle to Disneyland, this is probably the only one downside
Great service and the staff was very friendly and nice.
location rooms need updating, very old and worn out. TV was broken and did not work. Staff did nothing to fix it.
Location was great. The shower could use some updates.
From the staff to the amenities this hotel was top notch.
the room size, amenities, cleanliness, privacy, quietness, but most of all the very professional and helpful staff nothing
Breakfast buffet was very beneficial for my family. With four young children it's one of the reasons my wife and I prefer your hotel over others. I wasn't aware that if I used handicapped parking during my entire stay, that I would still get charged a $10 daily fee. That seems very odd considering that any vehicle with a valid handicap placard, can't be towed anyway. You may also want to reconsider the setup of rooms for those who are staying with small children. The Portofinos selling point for me was the bunk beds for the kids and the sliding doors that separate the kids room from the parents room. Please consider adding at least three 2.1 amp USB ports to your rooms. A digitally connected family like mine would greatly benefit if there are various charging points for our phones and tablets.
Loved the breakfast and friendly staff! Quiet, comfortable hotel! Would recommend to anyone!! Didn't like paying extra for parking.
Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Very noisy building. Had to sleep with air conditioning on in o Order to try to sleep.
Breakfast was fantastic. Pay for parking? I already apid for the room, now I need to pay for my one and only car to use your parking lot? It should be for guests and should be included in my room price. Separate sitting room in this "suite" is a joke. Its a table in the same room as the beds. That is NOT separate.
I ENJOYED MY STAY AT AYRES. THE STAFF WAS WONDERFUL, AND I FELT COMFORTABLE THERE. GREAT KITCHENETTE AND LOTS OF SPACE AND WORK FEEL. I WASN'T A FAN OF EXTRA PARKING COSTS NOR THE LONG HALLWAYS, WHICH EVENTUALLY I LEARNED THAT IT WAS QUICKER TO GO IN AND OUT THROUGH THE STAIRS OF ONE SIDE OF THE BUILDING.
Convenient location to Disneyland, Anaheim stadium, Honda center and freeways. Quiet, comfortable rooms, free breakfast, free evening snacks and free internet Tiny lobby with little room during evening snacks
Very friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds! Will definitly stay here again! N/a
Drove up from San Diego for a hockey game at Honda Center and stayed here for the night. Couldn't ask for better location. On top of that staff is friendly and rooms were clean and comfortable! Oh and happy hour 5:30-6:30 includes free drinks and appetizers! Awesome!
Our room was great, and so was every cast member. I couldnt buy the throw pillow which was on each bed.
Traveled as a multi-generational family group. We greatly appreciated how soundproof this hotel is. Plenty of water pressure at the right temperature too. And enough elevators for minimal wait time. We could have used electrical outlets for cell phones at the bedside but this is a minor improvement suggestion.
Our stay was for our 30th wedding anniversary, and the hotel staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, & special. Although the prices seem a little high for most people, our stay was very enjoyable. We will be returning in the future. The only negatives to our trip were the Disneyland Railroad, Haunted Mansion, and River Boats were closed. Also, I was looking for a Disneyland Railroad Engineer hat, but was only able to find a Conductor's hat.. Lastly, there were no hats for the Disneyland Monorail.
overall the pools + the room were OK no breakfast, not enough characters plqying with kids unless you make it at Goofy's
I pretty much LOVED everything about the Disneyland Hotel ... The hype is true We didn't get a discount with our Annual Passes
Love the themes and decor, and the perks that come with staying at a Disneyland resort hotel. The headboard that lights up and plays music (and serves as a great nightlight) is lovely. We had a room in the Adventure Tower facing Downtown Disney this time, and while we didn't care about the view (in this case, plants from the Adventure garden blocked pretty much anything we could see from the 2nd floor), what we didn't like was how loud the music was from Downtown Disney. We also learned that although we could only see a tiny amount of fireworks from Disneyland, we could hear all of them and they were pretty much as loud as they are when you're in the park. I'm still shocked that my kids slept through the music and fireworks that first night. On our third night, the older one was still awake when they started and used earplugs to get to sleep. The live music didn't stop until 10 pm even on weeknights, which meant we didn't get to enjoy the peace and quiet of the room (after being in the parks all day) until then. If you're not bothered by noise, it won't be a problem, but if you are, consider requesting a pool-view room.
Didn't like that we have to pay $10 a night for parking and the noise level was terrible
Bed was comfortable Had to pay $10 a day to park and they didn'thave enough parking spots. The ACTUAL didn't cool the room. The complimentary breakfast was crowded ,place was dirty and the food was awful. Asking help with direction was pitiful
We stayed at this hotel while in town for Disneyland's Half Marathon Weekend. Overall, great value for the money, clean, and proximity to Disney Parks was especially convenient. The A/C unit is a bit loud, which makes it hard to sleep or hear your tv.
Breakfast Price Location
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, check in and out was super easy. Stuff was super friendly. Love the free breakfast, it really helps you save money if you have a full breakfast you can last until a early dinner. Only a few min walk to park... Carpet was a little outdated.
Walking distance to enter the park via the Grand Californian Hotel and Downtown Disney. Good, basic hotel room to stay in close to the parks. Checked in at 11pm, walked all the way to the room with a tired wife and tired 4 year old. Room key did not work. Walked all the way back and the staff did not apologize at all. Just made a new key and said "you should be good." Small but infuriating detail. Breakfast time is a zoo.
Bed was very comfortable and staff was friendly. Breakfast orange juice was very watery and they were out of forks.
The location was fantastic as it's across the street to Disneyland California Adventure. The rooms have been maintained well or have been remodeled recently and include a decent sized mini-fridge. Free continental breakfast was nice to have. Parking was easy. Hot tea b and pool were nice and had a great view of nightly Disney fireworks. Overall it was a good value. The beds were substandard. They were like sleeping on a trampoline. The pillows were so thick and dense they were uncomfortable. But the comforters were thin, not much thicker than sheets. The hotel was very busy, and so the breakfast was a disaster to access and they were out of half of the items early. The elevator was out of order so I had to carry my heavy bags to the third floor. You can hear people walk past your room or talking outside the room.
Crazy close to Disneyland, the staff was really nice and breakfast was fantastic. Had to pay 10$ a night for parking extra which was a surprise.
Friendly staff. Good value. Room was nice. Breakfast needs improvement. Ran out of forks and orange juice. Quite a long walk to Downtown Disney.
Room was clean Separate shower and sink area a plus Included breakfast was awesome.
We arrived EARLY and they accommodated our early check in thanks to an empty room. The room itself was clean me organized. The sheets were fresh, the mattresses soft and supportive, but the bathroom was tiny and the rugs a little worn. We enjoyed the free breakfast, though the selection is rather limited. The staff was friendly and attentive, had answers for all my questions. Even the people staying alongside us were pleasant and non-disruptive. Having stayed in the other best western's around, this by far was the best experience. I honestly have no negative reviews.
great value, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable clean rooms with great beds/bedding
The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They helped us save money by booking a town car to the airport. The free breakfast was great. I liked that check out wasn't until 12pm. The hotel was located a short bus trip from Disneyland. For $5 we could by an all day bus pass. The bus drivers were always friendly and on time in most instances.
Clean and quiet. Breakfast selection was limited and quality was not very good. Having stayed at other Ayres properties, I expected better. The free hot breakfast was a main reason for booking here.
The actual room was fine, just as you would expect from any non-budget hotel. On the online booking site it was described as a "boutique hotel" in an excellent location. There was nothing special about the place. I have no idea why it was described as "boutique." I booked there based on the description to give my daughter a different experience than the other hotels on our vacation, but it was very similar to the Doubletree we stayed at in Flagstaff on our drive out. I don't know what I expected, but I was certainly not impressed. The price was about double what it should have been for a similar room at a name brand hotel chain. I would NOT book a room there again. Website reviews also stated hotel was 0.7 miles from Angels Stadium. According to my car odometer and Google Map App it was closer to 1.1-1.2 miles, too far for my daughter to walk in summer heat. If you have to drive to get where you are going anyway, location is NOT an advantage as advertised.
The location in proximity to Angels stadium was fantastic. Nice decor, clean and quiet rooms, good breakfast.
breakfast. Good value.
The lobby was beautiful, the service was excellent, the location was perfect for visiting the parks and downtown Disney, and the room was big. While the room was large, it wasn't anything amazing for the price.
We loved our stay here. Our family can't wait to return! We loved the pools, the closeness to the park (our room over looked it!) and the on site character breakfast. Also loved the bunk beds for kids There is a Loud speaker in the park that they do announcements on. You could here that muffled early in AM or late at night from our room. Needs a new shower head.
The room was very nice and the view was amazing. No complaints, we got a great deal and would stay here again.
Close to theme park with early entrance Very noisy, staff unappreciative of guests, staff non responsive to complaints, room service quality is mediocre.
I stayed at the Paradise Pier Hotel several times. I love how roomy it is and very relaxing! I like the view from the rooms...one side you can watch World of Color with the television playing the sounds for the show! We stay with a family of four, there is a sofa that turns into a bed. The toiletries are very nice!!! If you stay at a Disney property, you can use the special entrance from the Grand Californian. The Surfside Lounge is a bar/ snack shop you can warm up food (there is a microwave!) and pick up utensils (fork, knife, spoon or condiments). I personally like the vending machines on the ground floor..it is in a room by itself! PCH Grill is great during breakfast and looks fun at dinner time too! I whole hearted recommend staying here with everybody!! Upper level soda machines take only credit cards. Wish there was more food eateries.
Magic hour and distance from park entrances I thought the rooms would be high tech and more luxurious for the cost. It was a cleaner motel. Not as nice I as I expected
Close to Disneyland, has a little shop for miscellaneous things you may have forgot to pack and souvenirs, spray park keeps kids entertained for hours, loved to kids suite! No breakfast provided. A Continental breakfast would be great. No complimentary shuttle service either. Small refrigerators.
Very close to Disneyland. Was a very convenient and short walk to Disney. Bathroom was quite dated. Needs a renovation.
Water area Not worth the money. Pay the extra $20 and stay at the courtyard mariott next door.
Our stay at Howard Johnson Anaheim was excellent! Check in was super fast. We arrived early and they allowed us to pre-check-in, hold baggage, and hang out at poolside. Water features were excellent for the kids. While at Disneyland (which is only a short walk away) kids kept asking when we were going back to the hotel to the kid water playground. Staff was friendly and helpful. Not so much a didn't like, but more so a would've liked- it would be awesome if food and drinks were available at poolside and water playground.
Outstanding personable staff, very well kept, a true classic like the park across the street. It is designed for family's with small children, and sometimes they get loose! Fortunately all were exhausted and and quiet by a reasonable time. Didn't really notice many, if any, teenagers.
Great location close to Disneyland - easy walk to the park. Had a room that looked across Harbor Blvd toward Disneyland. Had an AWESOME view of the fireworks. Staff was friendly, pool was clean, just wished there was a hot tub in the Garden pool, not just Castaway Cove, too many kids in it to be relaxing for an adult, pool hours just right. AC in the room. Wished frig was larger, really only had room for a meal/day in it for 3 people, couldn't imagine if we had more people - a bigger frig would really have been nice. Despite the things I'd change, it was still the BEST VACATION EVER! Our bathroom sink was quite sloped, things would roll off it. Wish the frig was larger and that there was a hot tub in the Garden Pool.
Very clean, friendly staff. Would stay again Nothing
The children's water park was so much fun for the family. The room was clean ,bright, and comfy also Loved the free parking! No continental breakfast
The only thing i liked was the tv Almost everything was outdated. Didnt like much. The bedding felt so gross; as if had been sitting there for weeks acumulating dust. Then the room felt really moist, almost humid when we walked in. The bathroom looked like it was for an old person. It said I got a deal after paying $200, but it seemed like it was a $100 room. In the pictures it looked like a $300-$400 room.... Super disappointed.
This hotel was 10 minute walk to the gate. It was nice and easy even at night. The staff was nice and very efficient. The Castaway Lagoon was a fun was to spend the morning or afternoon. My 5 yr old twins had a blast. WiFi was horrible. Walls were thin. The people above us were so loud my kids had a hard time sleeping the last night. Cleaning crew left cart in hall starting at 8 in the morning was still there 1 pm and did not seem to have been moved nor was there anyone in any of the rooms cleaning
We like how close to the Disneyland resort you are, and the pool and water park that are available if you are not at the parks We did not like that on the second night of our stay how the bath tub started to back up when we returned from the park. The smell was atrocious. When we called the front desk, they informed us that nothing could be done until 7:30 the next morning. No shower after a full day at Disney. When we woke up the next morning, the bath tub was still backing up. Again no shower. When I told the front desk the next morning at check out, they asked if I had been offered to be moved, we were never offered. Are parking which expired at 3 the day of checkout was comped after that but not much more. We have stayed her 2 other times in the past year and half but never experienced anything like this. Just upset that more wasn't done to fix a stinky backed up bath tub when it was reported.
Liked the room even though we booked something different
Walking distance to Disney Not breakfast complementary no microwave in the rooms
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Easy walking distance to Disneyland. There was a hotel being built right next door, which meant waking up to construction early every morning. It sounded like there was hammering right outside our window. However, this wasn't the hotel's fault, just an annoying coincidence. Overall it was a great place to stay.
great for disneyland adventure
The staff was wonderful. The lobby is nice for kids and the area in front is a nice place to relax. Parking fees are annoying and at $18 would cause me to stay elsewhere. The "do not disturb" door sign was removed and we were woken up daily. The room seemed nicer online, these beds appear to be triple sheeted but are not. The dwcorative features were not in all rooms. TV is a bit low for viewing. The housekeeping and other staff are LOUD in the hallways by rooms.
The location was great for getting to the Disney parks. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from my hotel room door to the park gates. There are many restaurants within walking distance.
Friendly staff, clean room, wonderfully comfortable beds. Also the availability of computers and printer for return flight booking passes
How close it was to Disneyland, Disney California and Downtown Disney. Right across the street from the park entrance. Spacious room, comfortable beds, blackout drapes,
You have to pay for parking while you paying to stay at the hotel. Didn't like that you had to pay for parking.
Ideal for a small family to enjoy Disney without paying the cost of being on site. Sleeping in is hard with everyone leaving to make park open all at the same time.
Large rooms (junior executive suite) I wasn't informed much about the hotel when I checked in. I had to call and find out things in my own
Customer service was ok. You could hear the people in the next room conversation. You could also hear the people screaming in the pool on the first floor. The rooms are very dark in terms of color it makes the vibe in the room weird and there were a few spots on the wall it just does not feel comfortable at all the sheets and blankets weren't comfortable nor soft . needs a major upgrade .
Clean, quite, nice, and lovely. Would definitely book again. However... Hotel forgot to provide a shower curtain. =(
$5.00 off at Starbucks for 'being green". Free Wi-fi would have been appreciated.
The staff was helpful fast and friendly . The room was so nice and clean . The bathroom was big and clean very spa like feel to the room ! The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to leave . Room service was excellent !! There was nothing I didn't like .
Room size, proximity to KBF and Disney Bed was very uncomfortable, and very shaky!
At night, the hotel/neighborhood was very quiet. The room was clean. The room heater/air-conditioner/fan operated quietly. After 8am in the morning, it got noisy because of renovation work being performed on rooms a few doors down the hallway from our room or possibly on a floor above or below our room.
How close it was to Knott's. The beds were hard and the walls were thin but overall it was bad for the price.
Amazingly friendly and knowledgeable staff. We left every conversation with a smile. Not much, maybe the bathrooms could us a bigger and more modern tub. Us bigger gals can't enjoy a good soak. But over all my boyfriend and I truly treasured out first Valentine's weekend together and were so happy we stayed at Knotts .
Its average hotel. Needs refurbishing. Its not 4star.
Right next door to Knott's The whole property looks like it hasn't been updated since the early 90's... probably because it hasn't. The rooms are kinda ugly. The walls are paper thin. Room service is a joke (screwed up our breakfast order three different ways). The staff can't be bothered. Stay elsewhere and pay extra to park at Knott's. You'll be glad you did.
Found a room for a great price a few hours prior to arrival. Located right next to Knott's Berry Farm. Bed was comfy. Room needs updating Plan ahead if using room service for breakfast. We made the mistake of ordering at 9am, which is an hour before the park opens... it took nearly an hour for food to arrive... food was meh. Bring swim stuff. Great pool area for kids... splash pad was nice item to differentiate itself from other hotels. Overall good value for our needs Overall the hotel is in a state of disrepair. Just little things really, stains on curtains, dents on walls, spots on fixtures.
Its a 1970's hotel with granite countertops. The bed was so hard! This place needs a major facelift. The staff was excellent and the room was clean.
Nothing! I booked a king room they gave me a double queen saying it was kayaks fault. The matresses are rocks. The fire alarm went off in our room only in the middle of the night, about 2am, and when we called down stairs to remedy the issue security was sent to investigate US, if I wanted to smoke I would have chosen a room that allowed smoking but my husband and I are not smokers. The next morning house keeping woke us up around 8am in the morning trying to clean the room we startled her because she said "they" told her we had already checked out but we obviously had not and check out was not until 12pm. Worst experience ever with a "nice" hotel. We will never go back!
Staff friendly and helpful. Conveniently located next to both Knott's parks and Medieval Times and Pirates. Rooms small and hot. Needed to run the AC full time because my wind directly faced the sun.
The park was close. The room was extremely dirty and dusty. The carpet had stains and the bathtub was disgusting. I was a little upset because The room did not have a microwave and I was unable to heat up my infants milk.
Disgusting dirty carpets, dirty sink, very uncomfortable bed, shower head not working. Very unfriendly staff. I travel for business every week sometimes to 2 different locations in one week. This by far was the dirtiest hotel with the most uncomfortable bed and the most disgusting bathroom and dirtiest carpet I have ever stayed in. Do not stay here Everything
Nicely updated. Having a k-cup coffee maker was nice Front desk was friendly and quick Would have been better if the room had a mini fridge. Maids started vaccumming the hallways at 730-800 every morning not a nice way to wake up. No free breakfast.
Location is excellent Wi if on worked for few hours out of my 3 day stay. It was reported on several occasions to no avail.
Perfect location in relation to Disneyland. Also the staff were exceptionally well at their job. The rooms were spacious and well furnished. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were definitely uncomfortable. Also the trash was left in the hallways from other rooms meaning that room service did not always collect the trash.
The location is great. Disneyland, several restaurants and a CVS are all within easy walking distance. The booking website listed "free continental breakfast" as an amenity. It is not free. The hotel charges for breakfast and daily parking. The "free" WiFi was terrible. The room also could have been cleaner; there was still a sock on the floor from a previous occupant.
very convenient location to convention center room décor is dated, pillows were lumpy/old, breakfast buffet was not good. price for value was high for expensive tradeshow hotel rate
Spacious and friendly
The hotel was very close to Disneyland Resort and I was able to walk right over to the park, so that was extremely convenient. The price was comparable with other hotels in the area. Staff was very friendly at check in. Parking was not included in the cost of the stay, which at a comparable hotel in the area, it is complimentary. They also charge for their shuttle to the park, where it is complimentary for some nearby hotels. Also, no included breakfast.
Location is awesome Moved to 3 rooms. All AC vents had mold
Good price for location and proximity to park. Super hot in the hallways.... Room AC worked fine but the hallways need AC.
Restaurant Quietness Proximity to the park No free breakfast 14 dollar per day parking charge
The Red Lion had all the facilities we needed and then some. Our only complaint was with room cleanup and the lack of supply restocking, such as coffee, sugar, etc. and the general straightening of the room. They didn't remake my bed. See above.
Close to Disneyland and restaurants. Safe in room. Towels nice and thick. Clean rooms and property. Handy store. Just barely enough parking spaces, and it costs $9 per day. Store items a bit pricey.
Local and clean
its availability to my needs without going far
Room cleanliness. Pool near Disneyland Everything was great
We stayed here since we couldn't get into (what used to be) our favorite place a few doors down. From the second we got there everything was pleasent and clean. The front desk got us sorted out quick, which was much appreciated as we had just spent 10 hours on a small motorcycle, and our room was nice and quiet. I had read some other reviews about the "outrageous" parking fee which turned out to be $9 a night which didn't bother me. They have valet, but you don't have to use them if you don't want to. They sell 2-5 day park hopper tickets right there for the same price as the gate so I didn't have to wait at the line for tickets which was great!!! There is a small attached cafe which sells the typical Starbucks-ish fare and has some grocery items and souvineers as well. The walk to the park is almost the closest walk you could have, only one hotel closer. If you are still awake after your day at Disneyland there are plenty of channels on the TV, and they are clear. Overall we had a great expirience and this will be our first choice on future visits. I really don't have any complaints. Some will complain about the parking rate, but as far as I can tell everyone is charging about the same so to me it was a non-issue.
Great location for the theme park, clean rooms, friendly of staff. There was a little market and coffee bar on site that was convenient.
Close to disneyland
Incredibly clean room on the first floor (of 2). We were there for 5 days, and originally we thought we'd only be there at night after full days at Disney. We ended up coming back each day for about an hour or two during the hottest part of the day (and to avoid some crowds!). A small fridge to keep things cool, the bed was very comphy, a lot of pillows to choose from. Some other guests would slam the doors occasionally, but nothing the hotel can really do about that. We didn't have a car so didn't have to worry about parking. Looked like there was plenty of room, slots were probably a little closer together than my car would've like but that's just me being a little picky. It is litterally 100 yards from the Disney tickets stands, or you can buy in the lobby. Service was pretty quick checking in and out. The little shop has a bunch of travel items and small snacky items and plenty to drink. Pretty much anything a traveler would need. Only problem, and this is really minor, is that the toilet would slip occasionally and not fill the tank in order to flush again. Simple fix, just take off the top and push down on the pump thing, works good. No other problems with our stay!
Location It was dirty, full of bugs and needs some serious renovating.
The room was not clean. With hairs in the shower of previous guests and I found a cockroach inside the room
Courteous, professional, friendly staff. Quiet rooms. Weak wi-fi in the back rooms (10208) section.
Location I like that was closed to Disneyland
Location was good. It was very close to the Disneyland shuttle. The restaurant was good, and the restaurant staff was friendly and helpful. I dropped money, I.d., and credit cards, and Jeffery found it for me. Thanks Jeffery!! The walls and ceiling were thin, and we got very little sleep. The staff was hit or miss with helpfulness and friendliness. It didn't strike me as that clean. I wouldn't stay there again.
My kids of course loved the pool It did say it was across the street from Disneyland but it was behind the park and was way to far of a walk for my grandfather just to get to entrance.
Friendly staff, walking distance to Disneyland Room quality and cleanliness subpar, basic amenities (rollaway bed, pack and play, wifi beyond limited speed on one day) all required an additional charge. The appeal of the price, location, and attractive online photos quickly dissipated once arriving to our actual room. Better off paying a little more for a premium hotel in the area which ends up being around the same, since they won't nickel and dime you the entire stay.
- good location close to Disneyland (though beware.. you now have to do a very annoying walk back across to behind Downtown Disney, rather than go straight up the road. - nice overall hotel - friendly staff - We were placed next to the cleaning supply room. Every morning that room flooded and we stepped out into one inch of water. And of course the housekeeping were very loud in the morning and didn't seem to care about our room. - Our shower was plugged - Dark room, with no privacy
Location was spot on for Disneyland. I like it even better than the hotels on Harbor for this. Staff was friendly and room and facility were clean. They had a party in the restaurant but we were really pleased it wrapped up before 10 Room was really stale smelling and everything we have smells like that. Bed was really saggy and uncomfortable. broken stuff in the bathroom, Generally needs an update. We were also looking forward to a jacuzzi soak after our run but there wasn't one.
Everything was great Clean rooms, great staff, price was just right, even the food was good ........ unfortunately there was a couple smoking pot at the stairs and the smell went inside our room I don't care if they smoke but I think they shouldn't done were there's young children around....
The online company I used for the reservation didn't get it to the hotel in a timely maner, and therefore check-in was delayed
My experience was unfortunately a very disappointing one. We checked into the hotel and upon walking into our room, discovered our remote control did not work. This was not a problem and I looked past this. The next morning I woke up to a foul smelling bathroom, the shower was filling up with septic water and spilling into our room. I spoke with maintenance and they said they would talk to the font desk about giving us a discount, especially after we paid a significant amount more for our second day there. When checking out, I was told by the front desk to wait to speak to a manager. I then proceeded to wait 15 minutes for said manager and finally lost my patience. I returned to the person at the front desk and they told me "Oh, you were waiting on a manager?", and then said I would have to wait for them longer because they were "helping another guest, OR busy with something else." I simply said thank you and walked away. I have never had such a negative experience at a hotel and would hope that they read this and improve their hospitality. It is such a disappointment for having such a great location and beautiful grounds.
Nothing I paid a lot of money for an extremely small room and wasn't very clean
