Cons: "To be clear, I do not have an issue with overweight people. That being said, I was put in an extremely uncomforatable position on this flight. My seatmate was a woman who easily weighed 400 pounds without the slightest exageration and was 5'7 at best. She carried all of her weight in her midsection and behind, which was truly uncomforatable for us both. As she attempted to squeeze into the aisle seat it became apparent that with the armrest down it was not going to happen. She raised the armrest and finally maneuvered into her seat and part of mine also. Not only was her bottom in my seat but her stomach was resting on my entire right leg. It felt like a toddler was sitting on my lap. This was beyond uncomfortable and embarrassing for us both as it was clear that she knew how intrusive this was and kept apologizing. My leg went to sleep after about 15 minutes so I asked to be let out. I approached the flight attendent and requested that my seat be changed to which she responded that the flight was full. I know it wasn't because I could see an empty seat about four rows in front of me. Finally I sat back down but every 15 minutes or so she would get uncomforatable and get up to stretch. The first time it was a welcomed break, until she came back and flopped in her seat with so much force that it felt like someone had ran and jumped in my lap. This occurred 4 or 5 times during the flight. I am not sure what the policy is for obese passengers, but it should be relooked. As a passenger I should not be put in a position to address another passengers weight. I also should not have to pay for a seat and only get to use 2/3 of it. Lastly, no one should ever be allowed to put their body parts on top of another persons lap and that be considered ok."

Then the people were rude and told me to come back, so I did about 45 min later and asked again, they were rude again and said come back later. The third time I got s seat assigned but again, they were very rude. Won't fly delta again."

Cons: "I had a 2 hour stop in ATL with a final destination of Guadalajara. Since the hub system used by Delta required me to go north in order to go south, Delta decided to charge me $40 for my luggage. If I had flown directly to GDL there would have been no charge. But since I had to go through ATL, I added hours of travel and additional fees."

Cons: "I arrived at the airport and had already checked in and had m boarding passes. For some reason they could not find me when I went to check my bag. After 30 minutes they saw that my seat assignment had been changed and that is why my boarding passes that I had printed at home did not match what their computer showed. I booked this reservation in May and had a seat chosen fairly toward the front. I am 73 years old and the closer to the front I can be helps. When I finally got on the plane to my surprise my seat was the very last seat on the plane across from the restroom. People continued to leave the door open after using the restroom so had to get up and continue to close the door or look at the restroom the whole flight. There was never any explanation as to why they did this. As a result, being lst off the plane, I almost missed my connection as I had to go two terminals over for my connection. At my age I cannot run so I arrived as the last people were getting on the plane. I will never fly American Airlines again."

To my surprise, there had many open space when I walked in the plane. The worst thing was my brand new suitcase was torn. I told the luggage agent the incident and she said they had no liability what so ever."

AA attendant at gate at CLT was extremely rude and unprofessional when I accuse Left my boarding passes in seat pocket. Would not summon someone to retrieve it. Made me wait until entire plane was disembarked and cleaned, and made me wait some more after. She was super snarky, made rude comments, and almost made my family miss our connection to EWN. I will never, ever, fly AA again. Worst customer service and tons of issues with maintenance, luggage handling, and delays."

Cons: "I called American Airlines as ssoon as I book my trip to set up and make sure my small dog could fly with me. They neglected to inform me their partner, jetstar, does not fly animals. My luggage did not arrive with me. Both of my suitcases were mangled and broken. Items in my suitcases were shattered and crushed even though they were well packed and protected. We got stuck on the terminal in MSP and missed our connecting flight. When we finally arrived the systems were down and could not get new flights or hotels. We were told we could not get hotels and had to argue for an hour. Even though it was a maintenance issue. I arrived a day late and had to take extra leave. The plane from LAX to Tokyo was horrific. I booked a window seat, was stuck in the very middle. There was no way to charge outlets devices. The screen did not work. And my new luggage was also damaged with even more items destroyed."

Cons: "Arrived in Phoenix and hurried to my next gate for the flight to Palm Springs only to discover a delay in the flight. No marguees were updated, no explanation just the plane had not arrived. Soon after we were told of a gate change, the marquee then said the flight would not arrive until 11 pm it is a one hour flight, so we actually arrived at 10 pm."

It took many calls, one with over an hour wait, where were told different stories and expectations. I did not receive an actual ticket until the very morning if this flight!! It was very stressful!"

We took it upon ourselves to get re-booked on United Airlines. The American travel agent was pleasant but we would have been out of luck if we weren't proactive and frequent travelers trying every flight option available. Finally, after over an hour on the phone we resolved the issue through another carrier."

Cons: "Bad enough the long part of my trip ove seas had no wifi but then the 4 hour domestic flight did not have it either. I had planned to put my flight time to good use and catch up on work so i did not go back to a mountain of work but that never happened. Also, I've never been to an airport where you exit the boarding doors in the terminal then head down stairs to the tarmac to board a bus that make a complete lap of the terminal going near every AA plane obviously trying to figure out which one they need to drop us off at. If can get this close to losing people I now understand how luggage gets lost so often."

Cons: "Ear headphone jack would not turn down, you could hear the show from three seats away and the flight attendant was rude when I asked her for some different headphone to see if it would help. She acted like I was stupid and said "well did you turn it down?" Of course I tried that. I was very taken back by how she acted."

Cons: "Our plane ended up being delayed in Hermosillo for 2+ hours which caused us to miss our connections in Phoenix. The Mexican military gave American a very precise window in which they needed to take off from Hermosillo by, because of planned military maneuvers. The plan arrived on time but we missed our take-off window by 8 minutes. The ground crew and flt. crew showed no sense of urgency in getting the plane prepared to take off, the boarding of the plan etc. We could have easily taken off within the allotted window, except there was no sense of urgency or advance notice to any of the passengers. American in Phoenix made no attempt to accommodate us and we ended up having to buy tickets on Southwest in order to get home. Overall, a terrible experience."

Cons: "i had my boarding pass and chose my seat some time ago, in row 4. When I checked in, the AA representative switched my boarding card and I was told that my seat was no longer available. When I got to the gate, I spoke to the gate attendant. There were several people also speaking to them about their seats. I did not have a seat assigned to my boarding pass, so I stood until the entire plane boarded and the gate attendants could sort things out. In the end, I was given a seat at the back of the plane, even though booked my seat some time ago and am a Sapphire member. When I boarded, there was no room for my carry-on luggage. The flight attendant already understood what happened. She immediately took my bag, and found a space at the front of the airplane. This is the second disappointing flight in a row in 2 weeks I have had with AA. I'm not sure if it's just bad luck, or has something to do with the company. I had flown with U.S. Airways for years and never experienced any major issues."

Pros: "From start to finish the flight faced problems: unscheduled stop for refueling, change in planes for mechanical problems, emergency medical intervention, and more. Yet at every stage the flight crew and gate staff did an outstanding job communicating and seeking to alleviate passenger woes. With delays, we missed connections, and yet AA worked wonderfully to find alternatives. At the end of the day, we arrived at our destination, and even our luggage made the trip successfully! Wonderful courtesy, adaptability, and determination to serve. Thank you."

We felt abandoned by American Airlines because we asked three different people for assistance and they didn't seem to want to take on the problem. They were like Pontius Pilate, and "washed their hands" of us!!!"

Pros: "I don't usually complain, and I have never responded to this kind of rating request, but, the American Airlines flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Phoenix was too inept to ignore. Firstly, I wasn't assigned a seat when I booked the flight. Then, at the time I checked in, as no regularly priced seat was reserved for me, I was forced to pay for a premium seat, for both the outbound and inbound segments. Secondly, no snacks were offered on the outbound flight, because "the ground crew forgot to supply the plane". This didn't bother me, but it did infuriate some of the other passengers. Finally, I paid for the GoGo inflight internet, but the download speed was sooooo slow, I finally gave up."

My seat did not stay either up or down...it kept moving around and would not stay adjusted. However the crew was fantastic and our two female pilots were amazing. Captain Amy touched down in Phoenix was one of the smoothest I have ever experienced."

Cons: "United needs to add more entertainment options to all of their flights. Virgin, JetBlue have done this. Why can't United? You have record profits, invest it in inflight experience."

Pros: "Zero leg room! That actually was surprising as most other airlines have a lot more legroom. In flight entertainment was also lacking. Doesn't make sense to pay $7.99 for a 2.5hr flight. A lot of other airlines offer some sort of complimentary in flight entertainment. Also the luggage didn't start coming out for at least 30 mins of waiting at baggage claim. Not the worst experience I've had flying but far from being a good experience. It probably isn't worth flying united unless it's 1st class. But even they had to wait 30+mins for luggage!"

Cons: "Crew was rude, not just to me, but to other patrons. Flight was packed going and the man scanning boarding passes spoke to those of us asking simple questions as if we were stupid and defiant. Was he a prison guard in his previous job? On the way to Newark, I had an aisle seat. One of the stewardesses blazed by me with a cart ramming it into my shoulder without so much as a, "sorry." I'm not a big woman but maybe as I dozed off I leaned over a bit...There is no way she didn't feel her cart hit me. Rudeness, it seems is a part of the culture at United because the flight attendants coming back squeezed past the long line for the bathroom without saying, "excuse me." They did however, say, "I need to get by," and one of them brushed by the gentlemen sitting next to me and bumped his laptop and coffee. Overall it seems that the crew working these particular United flights have forgotten that we pay hard earned money to fly. Some of us are going on vacation, to see loved ones, and some are flying to deal with unpleasant circumstances. The staff may fly several times a day, but most passengers do not. There's a lot of prep and anxiety, that goes into taking a flight and a surly flight crew multiplies that anxiety. No one wants to fly with a crew that hates their job."

Every crew member was Sooo attentive professional Cleanly pleasant and always smiling and happy to come around. Other crews could learn from this crew please take notice !!! I have never been so impressed (and I am a frequent flyer )"

Cons: "The service, accommodations, cleanliness, organization from the airline (multiple delays and two gate changes), comfort of seats, & entertainment options were all undesirable. I tend to only fly United when I have no other options. This experience was exactly what I expected from the airline. However, I was traveling with my mother this trip and wish I would've spent the money to fly a different airline."

Cons: "Longest security line I've ever seen. I almost missed my flight though I was 3 hours early. Weird set up at departures. At gate warned flight overbookedso we were all stressed we may not even get seat though mine was booked months in advance. I was in zone 4 and they only allowed zones 1-3 to stow carry on items that we had to already lug around the airport for hours. I was forced to check my regulation sized bag in the passageway to the plane as well as everyone else in my zone. Economy seat especially tiny and cramped. Unpleasant flight attendents."

Cons: "The flight was delayed three times. It was two hours behind schedule. Then there was a delay in boarding, no entertainment on board unless you buy wifi or previously downloaded the united app to watch selected shows on your mobile device! Appalling to say the least! Whatever happened to the days when you get on an airplane and food and entertainment was a part of your ticket price! Another thing that bothered me was the fact that I had to pay $25 for my suitcase! Really United! Am I not allowed one piece of luggage? I don't like carry my bags around with me so now I have to pay to check it! Shouldn't that be the other way around! Charge for carry on luggage, it's such a hassle and also slows down boarding time, cases congestion in the hallway with everyone reaching for their luggage in the overhead bins! I can keep going, but what good is it gonna do. United airlines suck!"

Cons: "They cancelled my flight the morning of, I was rerouted through a later flight to AA when the United employee couldn't speak enough English to communicate, I misheard 2:30 when she actually said 2:13. Showed up an hour early as I always do at Eugene airport, only to have the gate shut in my face...we'd missed the flight. I then proceeded to get in my car and drive three hours to catch a connecting flight to Phoenix through traffic etc etc....only to arrive in Phoenix 6 hours later than expected. All of my evening business meetings, lost. Thanks United, you always seem to find a new way to screw it up."

Cons: "The United Express spoiled me because of its smaller size but being roomier then the second half of my trip"

Cons: "Sat on the tarmac for over 3 hours. A fight broke loose and we had to return to the terminal and then back to the tarmac for more sitting. The crew finally figured out how uncomfortable and frustrated people were getting 2.5 hours to sitting with no air on the tarmac. They relieved their customers suffering then with complimentary water! Now that’s service. Frontier is one of the most base airlines out there. I’m entirely frustrated that they are one of the only airlines that service our podunk airport."

Pros: "The flight attendants were very nice and comforting, as this was my first time ever flying and I was terrified."
Cons: "The boarding staff were rude! There was absolutely no form of entertainment. The seats were uncomfortable online said they recline for comfort however I couldn't find anywhere to get them to recline."

Cons: "I was not informed that I would be forced to pay for a carry-on, which was more expensive than checking my bag. I checked it, which then forced me to have an additional 30 minute wait at baggage claim. Horrible experience especially due to the splitting headache from the child who was screaming louder than I ever thought humanly possible (that obviously wasn't the airline's fault though)."

Cons: "Paying for my seat - paying for my coffee - paying for my luggage - not the bargain I thought it was - I could have easily taken another airline with more convenient departure and arrival spots and SAVED money!"

Cons: "The baggage fees are ridiculous. Your bags should never cost more than you (the customer). You try and check in online and they want to charge you more to pick a seat. The seats are tight. The tray table is the same size as my cell phone. (The smallest I have ever seen). Airtravel has reached an all time low with Frontier. I was glad my return flight was on SWA. SWA was cheaper fare, has better seats and a better table, and no baggage fee."

I would have much preferred that the basic seat price be included in the fare. While I anticipate baggage fees at this point, I was taken aback that carry-ons were more than checked luggage. As for the additional fee for a soda...is that really necessary? Not planning to fly Frontier in the future."

Cons: "I didn't like getting delayed for over 2 hours. Especially when the frontier app said the flight was on time. Then I show up to the airport and find out the flight is delayed over two hours. Then when we finally get to board, we get taken off the plane for more of a delay!..almost 3 hrs in delays is horrible. Not to mention the hidden fees of a carry on?? Are you kidding me? I hope I never have to fly frontier again!"

We were stopped at the gate and told we had to pay for our carry-on luggage and because we didn't pay the fee in advance we were charged $60 for our carry-on. Person at the gate said "I can't help what they do or don't do in San Francisco. Get it together Frontier. We will NEVER fly Frontier again!"

Pros: "The crew was as helpful as possible, very kind and clearly as frustrated with the situation as we were, and did their best to make sure the rest of our flight was comfortable."

We were loaded on to the plane, then told it would be another hour, got off the plane, got back on, and it was still another 20 minutes until we started moving. It was tiring, frustrating, and caused a lot of issues with my ride in Phoenix. I do understand, however, that many of the issues were unavoidable, such as mechanical problems and missing mechanics, but it was frustrating nevertheless."

Cons: "I had a pretty unpleasant experience with Frontier on 12/21/15. Rain in San Francisco caused flight delays. Go figure. Frontier kept us waiting for six hours then cancelled the flight. They were rude; they didn't help their customers, including families with kids, get on other airlines; said they would try to getpeople out of SFO in the next couple days! When I realized I would not get to the wedding I was trying to attend, they siad they wouldn't refund my money' When I insistedon a refund they then said there would be a $19.99 cancellation fee. Eventually, they agreed on a refund. Pretty poor way to run a business. On the other hand, when I needed to cancel my Enterprise car rental, I was able to do it in less than two minutes over the phone - no hassle."

Cons: "It is incredibly dishonest to not include the 40$ fee to carry on any bag, and 13-20$ fee to choose a seat, bringing up a 60$ per flight leg additional cost. That means roundtrip tickets can easily be 100$ more expensive than listed, making other, more reputable airlines actually cheaper. Not to mention they do not take electronic tickets like every other airline, and when the flight was delayed, I went to have my ticket printed and no one was staffing the desk and no automated kiosks were available. I managed to flag someone down and they wanted to refuse to print me one because "my flight was listed as earlier" despite me being emailed by them that the flight was delayed. I eventually got to my destination, but I will never book a flight with them again. Let's not even mention charging for water, the plastic seats on the plane, etc. Terrible airline."
