Issues with luggage, gate agents and flight. Delta has really gone down hill. But the flight agents int he sky were kind and professional. Also enjoyed the entertainment--but shouldn't be charged for headphones.

The landing was incredibly rough. I thought we were going to roll over at one point. Even coming into the landing was incredibly rocky. The passenger beside me said they make that flight all the time and that was the hardest landing they ever experienced.

Cons: "The check in process for Delta was a chaotic mess. There was no one to assist passengers, lines were crazy long. I overheard so many people complaining about missing flights and they could not get any help. I also think the amount Delta charges for luggage was insane."

Kinda curious how you forgot to load a plane with food for purchase and how did the crew not notice in advance? I would think that is one of their checks of the cabin. Not mention who ever signed off saying they filled the plane with food for purchase lied. Very frustrating not only for the crew but for the passengers."

Unloading plane went fairly quick but could have been a problem for short connections. Those people should have been allowed to leave first."

Cons: "Plane was around 45 minutes late in arriving at our Minneapolis gate. Flight was further delayed by something (unspecified) being "frozen." WORST part was that the temperature in the seating area at the gate was horribly cold. Departing passengers at a neighboring gate were bound for Fargo and sat with their parkas on and with parka hoods up. We Houston-bound had packed our coats & boots and were shivering. Then when we finally boarded the crew announced that the plane's water system was broken and so we would have no hot coffee or hot tea or hot anything. No water, also and obviously, in the restroom sink. But sani-wipes were provided in the sink basin."

Delta's economy seats are so tiny that even a small person like myself finds it agonizing to ride in them for a moderate-length flight. We need aggressive regulation of our airlines to prevent the unconscionable and humiliating way they treat economy passengers. It's not safe, healthy or humane to ask human beings to sit for hours in tiny spaces with very little air (on top of everything else, the plane was mercilessly hot the whole time). Next time I will choose a European carrier--even the discount Euro carriers are better than any US airline."

Cons: "LATAM changed my itinerary without my authorization and despite my clear verbal directions to NOT change it. The airline took directions from a corrupt official with the Colombian immigration office and cancelled my return flights. I was forced to purchase an additional ticket, travel on and separate flight from my wife and children. I then had to spend several hours waiting to resolve the case in person. The customer service at LATAM is a joke. If I'd received this treatment in the United States, I would have filed a lawsuit for their infringement on my rights and collaboration with the discriminatory practices of the Colombian immigration office in Bogota."

After losing my baggage, it took them over 24 hours to return it to me, telling me that it would only be "another hour" till they would deliver it to my house. No airline is perfect, but I don't like being lied to about my baggage not being transferred properly to my final flight, nor do appreciate how they kept giving me vague estimates and round-a-bout answers about my checked bag which they lost in the first place. If I can help it, I will never fly with American Airlines again; they have lost my business!"

We were not provided with TSA-PRE despite providing our known traveler numbers in advance. Boarding selection protocol seemed opaque, complex, and geared towards inviting us to pay extra for priority boarding. Before boarding the plane, we were not able to find out whether any food would be served and the extent of what might be provided. After getting on board, we were offered the chance to buy food. The complementary food was a cookie and a few ounces of soda or juice. Movies were available, but not headphones for listening to them. Leg space under the seat in front of us was reduced to make room for life vests."

Then the boarding staff were so rude, they act like they own the plane and they are god. They would not answer anyone questions and just pointed at the screen. The airplane staff hello at least. But the food very so bad, even easyjet has better food. Also their understanding for the english was so poor but the air stewardess told me " we speak American" !!!!"

Cons: "When I booked my flight, I used Kayac like I always have in the past. To begin with, I selected several flights that were listed, only to have it tell me that this flight is no longer offered, which I assume is engineered to get me to select a more expensive flight. Once I finally found a flight that was still available, I selected it and began the process of providing information and selecting seat assignments. On 2 of the 4 legs of the round trip, there were no more seats available except for upgrade seats, which resulted in an extra $100.00+ in charges. Then when I finished the transaction, I noticed an extra $200.00 charge added. End result was that I ended up paying over double what I would normally pay for this same round trip that I have made many many times. I feel, no I know, that some customer relations person will look at this comment and reply with a pre-generated response apologizing and hoping I have a better experience in the future and thank me for using Kayac. Big companies like yours look at one customer as no big deal. I'm a Physician and have the ability to reach out to multitudes. I'm going to make it my mission in life to reach out to as many people as I can through word of mouth, signs in my office, Internet and social media to let them know about the deplorable practices of your company."

The rude flight attendant told me in a very bad tone to go back to my seat that I couldn’t seat in there . Only to see later that she put her coat in there. I got up later to go to the bathroom , also I have overreacted bladder and she told me in same rude talk go back to my seat that if I couldn’t see that the do not get up signs were on. I felt literally she yelled at me . Never asked me if I needed help , or just wait a little . I literally pee in my pants"
Cons: "Had to sit on the tarmac for 35 minutes because our flight was “randomly” selected to wait because there was too much air traffic over Houston. Result: I missed my connection to my final destination. The airline promised that the other flights were alerted of the delay and that people would be there to assist. May departure gate was literally two gates away from my arrival gate in Houston. No one was there to help. No exceptions were made to get me on the flight, even as it was delayed at the gate for 15 minutes, meaning that they could have gotten me aboard. The whole experience made me very angry. After all this, I had to wait an additional two hours for the next flight."

Cons: "Premier Access was useless; WiFi didn’t work for the first half of the flight making people spend money on no service.; free food offerings were the worst I ever had, but never got charged for my wine; AC was non existent; crew did the best they could with what they had. All crew took their break at the same time, should consider staggering breaks; IAH terminal had to long of a q for passenger pick up. The cars moved extremely slow as well. Need to try and improve this part of the process, if possible."

Cons: "I think the baggage restrictions thing is really slimey and a shameful scam. I actually wouldn’t have minded paying around $50 more for my ticket and hand the bag included than be misled into thinking I could take luggage and finding out after it’s too late that I have to pay for my luggage. I think it’s a really sleazy business tactic (akin to resort fees). Fortunately for me however, I don’t travel with luggage so it doesn’t directly affect me. Still think it’s. Shitty way to do business though."
Cons: "One of the csbin crew was very angry, rude snd confrontationsl to the wheelchsir assistsnt. He challenged her sbout not picking up my carryon from the foor where he put on the floor. She commented she did not like to work for Uunitd because they were demsnding and demesning. This united rmployee csme back 4 times as we werr behind each other when we deplaned. Twice he szid,"L'm dorry but....." finslly he adked fpr her nsme. Tsking out hid isdues on another employee was unvslled for and unprofessional."

Pros: "United seems to have simplified how it separates the boarding groups, so getting on the plane was well organized. The 787 aircraft was spacious and comfortable, which seems to put both passengers and crew in a good mood. Lots of entertainment options were available, so the three hour flight flew by. And we arrived early! A great experience on United."

Cons: "I already knew I was going to pay $200 to ship my boards back home (I wonder if golf clubs which are roughly the same size cost as much,) but when pre-purchasing through the app for an "oversized" bag you have to put a "one" in the checked bag and a "one" in the oversized bag even though they're the same bag, but then they charge you for two, and when you tell the check-in person that you only have one bag of course they can't issue a refund. No, they tell you that you get to call customer service when you return home."

Pros: "My father passed away earlier that day and I needed a ticket quickly to fly home. At the airport I was a mess and the airline counter attendant was so amazing helping me ( I had never flown United and had no idea about their luggage policies ect..). She quickly pulled me aside.. helped me with checking in and did her best to fine me another seat thatvwas better than the one I had already chosen.Also, she gave me a hug and her condolences. Flying with an airline that has heart helped me so much during one of the most difficult times of my life. I will absolutely fly with them again."

It kept cutting in and out and "searching for signal", I only was able to see 1/4 of the movie I paid for with all the interruptions in signal."

Cons: "there where some issues with the airplane from the beginning we were inform that the seat belt and cigarette icons lights were no working . but then they have to call technicians to do a recheck on the plane so there more issues no just about the lights we have to stay in the plane until fixed some people lost their connection flights. the terminal where we landed was a long walk to customs then pick up bags and transport to the next terminal no enough time to eat between flights. to stressful ."
Cons: "My friend and I have taken our hiking packs to Alaska, California, Washington, and all along the East coast. Never have we been asked to check our packs. I was mostly surprised, at first. Once I was seated a man in front of me had his hiking pack and two ukuleles in their cases, neither of which could fit under his seat. That's when I became frustrated. O This plane sucks: our knees were slammed into the seat in front of us because the chairs are so close together. No USB plugs. Plane was dirty, scuff marks on the wall and ceiling. There was paper in the pouch that looked like a mouse had chewed on it."

When asked they told me there was a misunderstanding. on our way to El Salvador. Due to weather we had to stop at guatemla a lot of people were ready to walk around since a 3 hour flight became a 6 just sitting around a attendant was very disrespectful towards an older lady told her to get out her way and moved her to the side. Me and another gentleman look at eachother and couldn't believe it"

Cons: "Not giving me my seat number because my ticket was not a standby ticket and I seem to think that the agent thought that I was on standby but I have to go to him several time to make him understand that my ticket had a confirmation number and I did a reserve and I needed a seat number it was not on standby when he checked it he said okay and I also explained to him that I was a military personnel ... The agent should treat us with respect you should have gave me a better information and just throw me away then going back to him several times for the correct solution..."
Pros: "The main reason why I even flew United is that I was desperate to get my destination that day and they had the cheapest flight. It helped that the Customer Service Representative ( Liz at MCO) was extremely helpful and understanding of my situation. My experience with Liz has changed my outlook on the company. There are still humans beings working in United Airlines!"
Cons: "I chose to fly Southwest on the way back and for less money I received better service. If you find a reasonably priced flight you don't have to worry about paying extra for baggage or stomach during the flight. On the flight home, I realized that they have bigger seats, your bags ( 1 personal, 1 carry-on, and 2 checked bags) are "free" and they give you a little snack to hold you for maybe and hour. Overall I prefer Southwest because of all the benefits you get while flying with them but it doesn't mean I will never fly United again."

Cons: "New looking plane but the TVs behind all the chairs were locked without a credit card. The new chairs looked great until you sat in them. I'm 5'10" and my knees were already brushing up against the seatback in front of me. If you push the recline button on the armrest, the chair doesn't go back (of course it doesn't, the person's legs behind me are probably up against my chair anyway). Multiple people around me were also asking around if the chairs recline. I have a mild back injury and sitting up at 90 degrees the entire way was very uncomfortable."
Pros: "The ticket staff. The only thing about the Harlingen airport is that it needs more than a couple of exray machines ....the Valley is woefully behind in staff training and technology. It took forever to get through the short lines...it was too long of a wait."
Cons: "The way that a couple of young AA men who were biligirent, combative and vulgar upset about their seat assignments. I told one of the young men to stop using vulgarity and no way to treat the lady that was doing her job, she continued treating them with courtesy and they kept mumbling under their breath God knows what. So young and already so bitter. They were towering over her and took a confrontational stance...she finally called security. I would not allowed them on the plane. I commend the young lady there in Harlingen."

I liked United. Too bad about the incident I read about. I was on a flight with no available seats to LA and thought someone had taken my seat. Turns out I was reading it wirong on my phone abd the last seat available was actually mine."

After boarding my early morning flight from San Juan to Houston, all passangers were seated we were at a stand still for 2hrs before being instructed to depart the plane. We were sent back to the service desk for rerouting. This line was also an hour and 1/2 long . Fortunately I was able to transfer to another airline, but this overral experience with United was horrible."

Pros: "The flight itself was fine. Check in at the airport with United was terrible. The United agent on duty (Sandra Mcelroy) was rude, slow to process us, extremely inattentive. She either didn't know how to or was unwilling to verify our infant in arms' ticket, check our baggage, or receive a cash payment for our checked bags after she sent us to the kiosk for a third time. She never greeted us and only addressed us when absolutely necessary but had plenty of time to talk with her coworkers. It took nearly an hour for her to process our check in. She actually made another customer cry."
Pros: "I've taken a number of airlines, but none as bad as United. I get bad weather, I wouldn't want to go up in a plane in a thunderstorm regardless of the circumstances....but I spent almost a day getting to my destination that should of only taken9 hours tops. Delay upon delay, arriving right when my next flight was leaving. Very rude staff, I saw an attendant yell at a mom and daughter like she was their mom. Non-apologetic to anyone. Their goal is to shove you in the plane and shove you out. Are they safe airline? Yes, they will get you to where you need to be...but not before they make your life hell. I don't normally do reviews on anything, but United still has me frustrated even a week later. I almost forgot, they did give $20 to eat. Do you know how expensive airport food is?"
Pros: "In these past six months my family and I have been back and forth on the same route and in four occations this flight as been delayed. My 70 year old aunt lost her other flight in Houston and had to wait 12 more hours overnight wihtout food because all the restaurants were already closed. In our case were a party of five and with 1hr 40min connection. We had to run to the other side of the airport to the international gates not knowing if we lost the flight because when we arrived to Houston the second flight was already boarding. Luckly the flight attendants let us out first before the other passengers and barely made it."

Cons: "from COS to FLL: first flight was late taking off. connecting flight was on time. this is a bad combination. i was literally seconds from missing my connecting flight, and that was after sprinting from one terminal to another. captain on the first flight announced that takeoff was delayed because they were waiting for flight charts to finish downloading. really? WELL THEN GET THERE 20 MINUTES EARLIER AND BE PREPARED TO LEAVE *ON TIME* SO THAT PASSENGERS DON'T MISS (OR NEARLY MISS) THEIR CONNECTIONS!!!"
Cons: "My flight was delayed by an entire day and I gladly accepted the change, I did not argue. Then, on my return, I arrived 20 minutes before my flight and the desk associates would not issue me my ticket. The flight had not left, I had not missed my flight, theywould not let me board for not being early by 40 minutes (I was there 20 minutes before). The reason this pissed me off is because I had to pay 2 additional hotel nights which wound up costing me additional 300 dollars which United WONT PAY FOR. I want at the very least 300 dollars worth of credit, it is unbelievable."

Cons: "Late boarding, 2-hour delay, overhead bins were full so 1/3 of the plane had to return to the bridge to surrender their carry-on bags to their final destination, the extra leg room I paid for was non-existent because there was a giant plastic thing blocking my foot area, the "touch screens" for entertainment were more like punch screens and the sound kept going out VERY frequently. The two hour delay caused almost half the plane to miss their connecting flights, myself included, and now my carry-on bag with my phone charger, clothes, toothbrush, Cologne, and basically everything I needed, was on its way to my final destination while I was not. The airline gave me vouchers for a hotel and two meals, $10 each, and a plane ticket that I couldn't use cause I had important appointments and meetings to be at, so I had to spend $177 to get a one-way car rental back home."
Cons: "Having to board and put away carry on thinking the flight will depart soon and then finding out within 15 mins when everyone have boarded and settle that the maintenance delay requires that everyone must evacuate the plane with their carry on luggages. We waited at the gate for nearly 2 hours because the flight clerk told us not to roam far due to continuous updates... It started out as a 30 min delay and ended as a 2 hour delay with gate and plane changes. Had we known it was a 2 hr delay we would have been able to go use the restroom and go eat in between without worrying that the flight will depart."
Pros: "Roomy seat area, lots of entertainment options, crew was pretty good - one flight attendance a little sassy - but not sure if it was supposed to be funny. I thought it was - so I put it as a positive and she got it done and kept offering water."
Cons: "Boarding was the main issue. There was some kind of extra security feature where they wanted to check our boarding passes - which is fine! however, the way the boarding crew handled those operations was embarrassing. Basically no organization of the lines, and when it was time to board, they could not handle the organization of people that had already been checked security wise (and ready to board) - and people that weren't security checked. For instance, I had my boarding pass ready (had already been security checked) and was ready to board. But there was no indication as to which line to get into, so when I asked, I was demeaned - and told to go to "zone 3! You are boarding group 3!" There was no way to know where this was, and just before (when I was getting security checked on my boarding pass) the woman told me to "just stay in the line that I was in - because boarding would take place soon". There was no way to know which lines were zone 1, 2, 3, or still checking boarding passes for security reasons. Once my zone 3 line reached the point to get scanned to board, eventually people had also been in the wrong line and were ready to board, so 4 lines of people who were just as confused as I was, started to merge. This is going slowly of course, people in zone 1 (who thought they were in the zone 1 line but instead were still stuck in the boarding pass security line) were upset because zone 3 was boarding and they weren't - and this is while the staff is getting angry at people NOT boarding - because they are stuck in these other lines. It was quite disorganized and I think the staff could have handled the entire process better. Not sure if I ordered the wrong option but food could have used an upgrade."

Cons: "The boarding process was confusing. I was issued a boarding pass with "see agent" instead of a seat assignment listed. When I saw the United agent at the gate I was told "don't worry we'll find you a seat." I was confused because I felt that I was treated as if I was flying stand by when in reality I booked my ticket in advance. Everything worked out in the end--I was one of the last on the plane but I got a seat and had no issues with finding a place for my carry-on--however, I prefer having an assigned seat to avoid the anxiety of not knowing what is going on during the boarding process."

Cons: "Boarding was a mess with an adjacent gate exiting at the time of boarding creating a melee of people crossing queues. You have a carry-on baggage policy - stick to it. I wasn't carrying any roll-ons or large items but many of my fellow passengers were carrying multiple items in the hope of either getting them on or having them checked for free. Complete shambles with later boarders running up and down the aisle trying to fit their carry-ons into overhead lockers. Solution: Enforce one item only; Apply free checked items at the gate early. Apply a fee for items that don't fit and were not offered up for checking."
Pros: "Everything really was superb. Food rated low because of a measly biscuit on a 6 hour flight. Entertainment rated low because I even had to pay to gain access to the flight tracker. And, as far as airlines go, comfort should've been 5 stars, but I really could have used a back pillow. Or even a back pillow option (had I asked an attendant - all of whom were awesome). PS. Kayak's regular emails kept me unusually updated on flight progress and their communication was the main factor in my decision to complete this survey."

Cons: "I got to the airport 40 minutes early. The flight was out at 6:20, I was there by 5:40. They did not let me print out a boarding pass. I could see the gate from the security line and the security line was EMPTY. There was no reason for them not to let me get on the plane, but they ended up scheduling me for a flight to Denver with the connecting flight in the morning- delaying my trip 24 hrs and charging me an extra 125$!!! I ended up paying an extra 85$ to American and was able to get to PHX that afternoon! The ladies at United were straight up RUDE too. When I told the lady at the counter my name she rolled her eyes."
Cons: "We had to land in San Antonio due to bad weather (understandable), but the customer service was appalling. They kept passengers on the plane for 3 hours and 45 minutes, which is prohibited by federa law. They failed to provide additional snacks when the passengers were on the plane for over 7.5 hours, and made it seem like it was such a nuisance when we asked for water. They were able to pass out one cookie by hour 6 but the flight attendant made it VERY clear that they had to do "so much paperwork" to get it approved. The flight attendants were rude, inconsiderate, and when asked what the game plan was after our 4 hour delay, their response was, ""not sure, not my department." If they didn't have answers, that's fine, but the manner and careless tone in which they replied was inconsiderate and insincere. When we finally landed at our half way destination in Houston, the flight attendant made a comment about how she can't get home due to all of the delays without considering that half of the passengers had the same dilemma and paid hundreds of dollars for their flights! The flight attendant had no empathy or respect and I would NEVER take this airline again. We spent the night at the airport and are still trying to find a flight to our destinatiom in New York :("

Pros: "My flight was overbooked, and I was in one of the later boarding groups. When I got on the plane, someone else was in my seat, and apparently had been told by the crew to sit there. There were no extra seats visible. Clearly upset, a very nice flight attendant brought me back to the galley and chatted with me (not reacting negatively to my less-than-stellar attitude given the situation) while another went to "handle it." Not sure what magic she worked, but I ended up with a window seat in an exit row with lots of leg room. An unfortunate situation was handled very well and I'm really appreciative!"

Cons: "Tried to charge us $200 for 'oversized luggage' when we have flown with that bag 2 other times. The UA tag was still on it! Then, after the kiosk agent slapped my hand away from the machine, I asked for a supervisor, who declined the bag anyway. But after prodding asked for a solution, a box(nice and convenient to handle through an airport) & we had to throw our expensive piece of luggage away, only to see a worker pull it away from the trash. By this time, it was 20 minutes until departure and I had to ask the same supervisor for assistance, pointing out our situation. Are these workers not trained to know which flights are leaving when? Or do they just not care at all? Worried we might not make the flight, we asked for a ride from 2 transit vehicles(I have a rebuilt knee and can't go fast) and you guessed it, were denied. Regardless, we eventually made it to the gate to be greeted by a 'oh there you are' where I tried to grasp for some, for any understanding from this company. Ok, here's the kicker: when we got on the plane, there were many open seats in the middle. My mom asked if we could sit in one and was told that it would be $91, even though the flight wasn't full. What is really going on? So there we all cram into the back of the plane. I am Not exaggerating when I tell you that I could not extend my are fully in front of me-that's how close the rows were!! The video was playing the safety message and we all looked at each other knowing that there was no physical way to reach under the seat 'in the case of a emergency'. The flight was turbulent, but you can't really help Mother Nature & we arrived alive, so I'll give you that. But as we landed, a piece of the seat in front of us landed on my moms foot. I didn't see even a basic attempt with assistance from ground crew helping my wife break down or assemble my chair. After door shuts plenty of empty seats in the economy plus and some in first, when I asked the attendant they were real quick to whip out the iPad charges to upgrade. Those seats went empty I stayed cramped. Kayak didn't show a box to check if you are disabled and need special seating or cart transport at airport."

Cons: "The seats were not reclinable and for a 3.5 hour flight in which I wanted to get in some sleep I was unable to sleep. Also the seats were very narrow and with almost no padding. I could feel the padding had wore off and my back was touching with the metal of the seat. Add all that up together and instead of a regular airplane seat it was like seating on a rigid chair for 3.5 hours. Moreover, since I couldn't sleep I decided to at least get in some work, but then I realized that the tray was so tiny that it can't even fit the smallest of laptops... I know it is a low cost airline, but paying for carry ons, checked bags, selecting seats and on flight beverages is plenty for a low cost airline. Frontier doesn't need to top it off with the most new uncomfortable seats possible. At least with Ryanair the seats are more comfortable, you can bring a carry on at no cost and the flight ticket is cheaper."

Once we were on the plane we were then told we would be delayed until 10 AM. Flying with two children was difficult for a four hour delay. However front tier did give us all $10 food vouchers and $50 vouchers each for our next flight. Once we landed in Houston we then sat on the tarmac for another hour waiting for the gate open. The plane did have mechanical issues which caused the delay but still the notice given was always last minute"

It was a truly terrible experience and I can't believe that there's not a better protocol in place with the airline to accommodate customers with severe allergies to animals, even when they are labeled as emotional support animals. This as a truly terrible experience. Thank goodness the flight was only 4 hours. I'll never fly Frontier again."
Cons: "It may be customary now, but we arrived with all our luggage as carry-on bags. We learned that they now charge more for carry on luggage than they do for checked bags. So we ended up checking two carry-on bags that we could have easily consolidated into one larger bag if we had known ahead of time. 2nd and worst of all - when we were checking in they told us our seats were not yet assigned (even though I picked seats out when I purchased the tickets). They showed a seating chart, but the only seats together required a premium payment of an extra $30 per seat! We complained and they told us to let the computer assign seats for us. That worked and the computer ended up assigning us two premium seats together. By the way - I did see what was "premium" about these seats. They reminded me of spirit airlines. Overall it seems like frontier is now trying to find ways to charge customers for things that were previously included and it is somewhat intentionally deceptive. I appreciated the low cost of the ticket, but I was left with a bad feeling overall. Spirit airlines is an inexpensive no frills airline as well but at least they are upfront and direct. I will fly with them next time if I have to, or go back to United."

Every process used was executed poorly. Then to top it all off I was contacted about the location of where my bad ended up.. Once I went to retrieve it, they no longer knew of the location. It took the employees an hour to find my bag and then I discovered it had been ripped open with missing items and they failed to mention that information when they called me with the location of it. Poor customer service and I would be embarassed to be a frontier employee."

When I questioned the staff member, she looked at me and literally did not respond. She stared at me like I was speaking another language. I waited over an hour and a half for our checked bags to come to the baggage claim area. Everyone was looking for Frontier staff to help us as our bags didn't seem to be coming. The two staff members we found were HORRIBLE and extremely rude. They stood there leaning against the wall staring at us and telling us they couldn't help us - It isn't their department? The seats are uncomfortable- they do not recline at all. They charge for EVERYTHING on the plane- including drinks (non-alcoholic). Overall, the staff was rude, the charges were outrageous, and the flight was uncomfortable. I have never had such a horrible experience and will NEVER fly Frontier again. ."

So our lodging, car rental, etc all were completely wasted, at our expense - no vacation, but still had to pay for it. "Nothing we can do, sorry, it's the weather..." Really?! Weather explains a delay, not torpedoing the entire vacation. This airline is the absolute pits."

We were offered about 4 ounces of warm water. Yup, they would not even let go of their ice. I guess the lesson is that you live and learn, I will never fly Frontier again."

I hope they don’t start charging for oxygen intake. I was not informed of entertainment options, but I’m sure they were not inexpensive. I will not be flying with Spirit Airlines again. There are other airline options that are less expensive (after you add all the additional fees up) and much more comfortable and hospitable."
Cons: "Took my money and never deliver the paid services! If you’re late to reach your flght, your whole itinary, doesn’t matter how may flights you may have in it will be cancelled! No refunds, no flight changes, doesn’t matter if you did everthing you can to reach the consecutive flights on time!!! No REFUND for the flights you did not miss. This airline capitalize on your misfortune to make their profit without having to deliver the services you paid for up front! Also, they have lots of hidden fees after you purchase your ticket. Cons: "I was not aware of a carry on check in fee much less was i ready for the ridiculous amout! $55 at the kiosk. On top of that you cannot use cash, so you have to spen another $5fee for a temptation car which isn’t reloadable. I ended up spending $120 in fees i wasnt aware of, this amounts to a whole trip ticket on it own pretty much! Just ridiculous!"

They should at least let you know you're surrounded by crying babies I would have never booked or paid more to not sit around it. I understand people have to travel with kids but it was my only vacation wouldn't fly spirit again. On top of I called spirit airlines to help extend my flight and the guy couldnt/wouldn't help me told me to check online, but their system that day was not cooperating"

Pros: "I really like Spirit's business model. Fresh planes, different style seats with less upholstery (less chance of absorbind spills and odors, as I see it) that results in more leg room. The upgrade to the top-tier seating (not called first class) is affordable and offers more room to stretch out and faster boarding. There is no food provided, no screen in the back of the seats to wacth movies, and carry on bags cost extra. And I LIKE this, because these are things I can do without yet with other airlines I'm paying a higher price. I gave 5 stars to the food and entertainment catagories because I like this approach of having neither. The planes are new and feel reliable and fresh. Feels like the future of air travel."

Cons: "Plane was available waiting at airport, weather was ok... switched gates -made only one announcement,had people line up at new gate, then switched gates again had people lineup for boarding,then announced flight will be delayed 1.5 hours - though plane was at gate. Meanwhile about 11 Spirit staff were running around giving conflicting info- Totally a disorganized operation at Chicago O'Hara Spirit crew- and bad communication with passengers. I flew 4 flights in two weeks the crew in O'Hara were totally spaced out. Most likely will select another airline for future travel."

Cons: "Cost adder for bags, seat, boarding, snacks. Add these to the fare and Spirit would NOT have been my choice. Seats do not recline - very uncomfortable. Seats too close together. Rude Spirit employees at baggage check-in and on the plane - it was clear their job was to find some way to charge more money. A bag that weighed 39 LBS in Houston and had the same clothes weighed 43 LBS in Seattle and resulted in a weight overcharge fee as they only allow 40LBS Max for checked luggage when everyone else allows more. No updates during flight of ETA. No entertainment options."

Suitcase was lost on return trip and after 3 days finally was sent delivered to destination airport for pick up. They would deliver it to home but could not give a specific time, worse then the cable company so just will pick it up directly. Also the customer service folks in the baggage area speak very little English, have no customer skills and And frankly have no understanding of how their processes work. Also with the delay notification to email received over 1000 email notifications... must be a system glitch in their system. Will never use this airline again in life!"

Cons: "From the delay in Houston on 6/15 on our outbound flight to the delay on 6/18 on our return flight, customer service was poor and Spirit Airline employees - whether at the airport or on t he other end of the 1 -800 number - were not articulate, did not communicate effectively nor did they seem to care about their customers concerns or comfort. You might want to rethink what you could offer to your customers in the event of a delay, esp one that is not weather related. Offering something as simple as a free bottle of water & bag of pretzels to everyone once on board, could go a long way to thanking everyone for their wait. As well, your seats are too close together for comfort. I will not be flying on Spirit Airlines again which is a shame as I have a niece & family in Miami to whom I plan to travel to see."

Pros: "Finally - an airline got it right! My husband and I appreciated that we only paid for what WE wanted to use. We did not have to pay for what the airline thought we might want. They got rid of the horrible airplane food that we always felt obligated to eat because we paid for it. We never used the screens in the seat back because we are readers. Also - when was the last time you heard the captain announce that the flight arrived early!! While the seats are a little tight, we didn't mind it. Will fly them again in the future."
Cons: "In addition to one hour delay that created so much inconvenience, the performance of the flight attendants were not acceptable. Non of them checked the security aspects of the flight before departure including seat belts or not letting people keep their back packs between the legs instead of putting them under the seat. Furthermore, my seat was beside a person who needed two seats instead of one seat and all the time during fligt I was in an extreme discomfort. I talked to the flight attendants and asked them if possible to give me another seat but they were not willing to help much.Totally I am really disappointed with boarding+comfort and the crew. I will definitely try my best not to fly with Spirit airlines anymore."

Cons: "seemingly all the rows of seating are too short. i'm only 5-11 tall and my knees were constantly against the seat in front of me. i sat in the middle seat on row 22. the lade next to me sat on the isle and even her knees were hitting and was uncomfortable. at one point the person in front of her leaned his seat back and it was all completely in her space, make her extremely uncomfortable. we had to ask flight attendant to ask the man to put his seat up some to give her some more room and comfort."

There were no accommodations for the inconvenience and although the agent did his best to diffuse the already high emotions from he was unable to offer better options to appease the customers 3. The only option I was given was to travel over 2 hours to another airport again there was no accommodations provided 4. On the flight the seats are too close and they did not recline; my flight was little over 3 hours and I was so ready to get off the plane 5. Flight attendants were not approachable 6. Fees that are added after purchasing ticket: Seat, fast pass 7. Lack of confidence in the airline"

Cons: "This was a 7 AM flight, the first one out for the morning of that plane and crew. I always expect those to be on time. However, due to a lazy night crew or maintenance crew, the logs had not been properly performed. We sat on the plane boarded for an hour prior to take off. The captain/pilot was very uncommunicative with the passengers about what was going on and what was causing this . The crew did nothing to try and make up for the fact that the flight was unnecessarily delayed because of Spirit, i.e. Offer free drinks or a snack."

Cons: "Captive audience shilling of credit cards during the plane. $3 water is ridiculous. Forced to make an acct on spirit even to check in. Did not have to do this to buy. They are clearly forcing memberships even if we don't want one. Did not make it clear during buying tickets that prices go up for carry-on or checked bags if you don't buy it with the ticket. I had to google afterwards to find this out. The "$9 club" gives misleading prices. Who charges $10 to print a boarding pass at the airport? Spirit does everything online but does not have an online boarding pass? Seems like just another low-brow grab for money."
Cons: "Actually the allowance for baggage is too much. I am living in KSA from about 20 years. I have visited many countries in Europe. Including Middle East and Asia. I have never given such a huge amount for baggage. It makes very senseless to charge for baggages because if your are providing us the service for transportation, than baggages is must with anyone travelling, obviously. In other words, because its a must for anyone travelling, you are simply taking advantage. Anyhow the over all service was quite impressive and its been one of my best lifetime travel. Hope to travel again from your airline and see any changes in the baggageing allowances. Thankyou soo much. Have a nice day."

Very little space on airline, small tray tables and no backseat pockets for you to store your water or anything like that. Spirit over books flights and scares passengers by causing them to think their purchased flight isn't definite. Bribes people with free round trip flights to fix their mistake but even I wouldn't want their free flights because my experience with them was that horrible I wouldn't want to suffer through another Spirit flight."

Cons: "The woman working the baggage claim area was so rude and acted like she didn't even want to be there. My luggage was ruined (they ripped open the top of the suitcase and there was a huge hole in it) and she said all she could do is give me a $25 credit for our next flight and we'd have to put through a claim first and wait. Then when we asked for a supervisor she said there's no point in calling him because he won't help us. The supervisor finally came and refunded us what we paid for our luggage but that still doesn't even come close to covering the cost of our luggage."
Pros: "Seats were fine, and the cabin felt nice and cool. The attendants were nice as the interacted with fellow passengers. The flight felt smooth, and they got us to our destination safely."
Cons: "The employees at the gate were extremely unorganized, and played a confusing back-and-forth game on the intercom during the boarding. Although the attendants were curtious to those in need, they lacked in competence. Many passengers either a) could not follow instructions as request, or b) control their children. The attendants just seemed to let it slide, an not show any enforcement. In lieu of the 5-7 minute announcement touching on passenger safety, and respect towards fellow customers, a little more effort from the employees would have gone a long way on his flight. Finally, once we arrived, our gate was occupied. Then, the jetwave operated did not show up for some time. Therefore, we did not disembark the plane until an hour after landing. Apologies for the lengthy complaint, but this seems to be a trend for Spirit, and it's a bit ridiculous. However, thank you for getting us to our destination safely."

Cons: "The flight was delayed 2 hours and they did not communicate this information very well. I was told to go to gate L7 and waited and waited without any information. Then they told us to go to gate L1 and then to go to gate L11 - it was very disorganized . The employees were not helpful and they seemed annoyed at all the questions. It was very crowded in the terminal and they kept telling us to move back to let other passengers off the plane but there was no where to go. All in all it was not a good experience to fly with Spirit."

Cons: "I chose Spirit because of its cheap flight price so I didn't expect a high quality of service. For example, I didn't expect a very comfortable seats or meals in the flight. But, there are some instances which are not dependent to the price/money like politeness of the flight attendant/employees or responsiveness of the boarding member. On the flight day, me and the other fellow traveler were waiting for the boarding but the gate was closed and no body was standing at the front of the boarding desk. Also, there was no LCD screen to show that this gate is assigned for the Houston or any other places. The time was passed from the original boarding time and we were still waiting for the boarding member. Accidentally, I saw a airport employee and ask him that this is the gate assigned to the IAH Houston? And he responded: "Oh no, the gate is changed!" Thus, I ran from the former gate to the new assigned gate. But I saw that the people are still waiting for the boarding member at the front desk. There was a 25min delay and all the people were standing and waiting for that lady to come. At the end, since she was alone and she couldn't handle all the people, she didn't check the boarding zone. It is important to be mentioned that I received the changing of the gate E-mail very late just I was entering the airplane! In the airplane, the flight attendant were not friendly. They didn't help the old people to entering the airplane or putting their luggage at the top cases. During the flight, they were just sitting and playing with their mobiles! Apart from this issues, the worst scenario happened in the baggage claim. When all the people were waiting about 30mins for delivery of the baggage. At the end, it was so disappointing to see one my baggage is broken and its handle bar was detached that I couldn't move it easily to the outside of the airport. I reported the issue to the Spirit baggage claim and that employee was not friendly either and she didn't even apologize! Therefore, I am currently totally disappointed about the Spirit because as I mentioned there are some instances which are not dependent to the price/money. Even cheap airlines should provide highly respected treatment to their customers."

Cons: "I arrived to checkin in my bag early so I could relax in the airport only to be created with a sign stating that no one would be available to assist me until 4 PM which was two hours later? I then proceeded to pay by the kiosk to check my bag to be safe but then was unable to leave it. I then had to still carry the bag around only to return and be at the back of an extremely long line of people waiting. I finally get through then proceeded to my gate 17 to checkin. Once one the plane I noticed several people with bags the size of mine as carry on which meant I just wasted $52. I was extremely disgusted because I could have possibly had this issue resolved and saved my hard earned money if someone was at the baggage checkin desk."

Then ground crew dud something to knock out a flight display screen in the cabin. 45 mins later the screen is fixed, but we're waiting on paperwork. 30 mins later paper work is complete but we need a new passenger count. 30 to 45 mins to get a passenger count! Meanwhile the flight crew is snippy, but they serve a thimble of water and cookies. Finally they offer $50 vouchers for your next flight, you just have to get in contact with "Adam" who is somewhere around the airport we just left. So. . . Yeah."
Pros: "My flight from San Diego to Houston, TX was Awesome minus the seats, couldn't get comfortable! I'm tall, so my knees were pressed against the seat in front of me. That's really my only complaint! Oh my bad, I forgot to add the ticket counter..the ticket doesn't open until 5:45 so as a result of that, the line was super long! Free bags and head of the line privileges(Military), quick cheap flight from San Diego to Houston at the last minute=winning! If Spirit continue to improve their airline and I can get an exit row, I will be taking this flight more often!"
