I found out late that it was practially at a different airport. With less than an hour I had to take a bus to a different terminal, walk through, exit onto the street, cross the street and walk down the block to a different terminal. Then I had to re-enter through security (where the line was wrapped back to the front doors). Had the flight not been delayed for mechanical issues I would have missed it. My flights were purchased through Delta. If Delta uses different airlines they should post gate information on their web sites.

In the end, we had to go all the way back, past our original gate to a Customs area where they just stamped our passports and onward to our gates. It seemed like the signs only helped if you were going in the correct direction to begin with. Even my German friend said how bad that airport is for directions!

Pros: Despite leaving 5 hours late we arrived only 3.5 hours late so cheers to the pilot.
Cons: Flight from dublin was delayed about an hour. Flight from Helsinki to Chicago was delayed almost 5 hours and all they gave us were 8 euro in vouchers which isn't even enough to eat at the airport. Communication on delays was poor and staff was not helpful.

Cons: Let me start out by saying this was my first transcontinental, longer than 2hour flight...I am extremely upset that I paid the extra money to choose my seat and when booking I chose that I wanted a window seat, well I ended up smack in the middle of the plane with a person on each side of me so I wasn't even able to sleep the entire 7 hour 9p-9am flight. Also when I attempted to check in 24hours prior in order to make sure I got a seat id be happy with it said that it wasn't available for my flight so I couldn't check in and I couldn't chose a seat but regardless I still should've gotten the seat I wanted bc of my preferences at booking. Don't pay the extra to ensure your seat it's a total rip off

Cons: Because the flight was through british airways, extra baggage was $90 much more expensive than Finnair's prices. After paying that before departure to London I recieved an email from British Airways that stated an extra bag for both my flight to London and return flight to San Francisco had been fully paid for. At the airport I was told by British Airways employees that I would have to pay another $90 regardless of what my email said because their official prices are $90 each way not both. I showed them the confirmation I had recieved and all they could say was "that is confusing". There was very little empathy or attempt to help. As a result I was forced to leave the suitcase behind with my acquaintance in London and do an in airport shuffle of all of my belongings. The flight was great but beware emails that may not match up with online info.
Cons: Flight left 4 hours late due to mechanical problems with a very , very old plane. I paid extra for an exit seat that (bc the plane was so old) had cold air seeping in that even with 4 blankets on, a sweater, my jacket I was frozen the whole flight and caught a terrible cold that I have now had for a week.

The seats are quite small and recline a minimal amount My biggest complaint is that four of us traveling together could not be seated in close proximity to each other, despite making that request over four months before the flight. Extremely frustrating to deal with check-in process as well--because we booked on Finnair, we could not use online system. This was an aggravation considering we were traveling. And--one of our bags was left behind in London. \

Cons: Checking luggage was a nightmare. I stood well over an hour in line. We barely made the flight, and afterwards our luggage was lost, and it still has not been found. The wheelchair that I had ordered for my travelling companion was not there, either at Manchester or Philadelphia. The seats that I had reserved were given away to someone else. Whilst the plane flight itself was okay, the airport experiences on either end were miserable.
Cons: Nothing was dairy free, staff did not even have access to ingredients so I could check myself.
Cons: Disgusting meal, I left most of it on my tray. The promised entertainment systems were not working. There was no wifi on board either. These were both things I had looked for prior to booking this flight.

The actual placement of the seats were aisle row and middle row-so neither of us had a window to look out of or wall to lean against, no overhead lighting or air vent either. Can you say "rip-off?" My husband, who is tall and broad shoulder was constantly being knocked around by the flight attendants and carts. This flight was miserable. I guess I should be thankful for the hour plus delay in departure.

When I asked help to change a seat, flight attendant did not help.
Pros: The crew was very hospitable. The food was good. There were blankets and pillows. Although we hit some turbulence, the pilot was really good about explaining it and calming the mood.

Don’t go flying with BA if you have anything of any value or fragile.

Cons: The only refreshment without charge was tap water. The crew also pulled a curtain across the tops of the seats in front of us to separate economy from priority, and it felt somewhat insulting. Boarding was delayed with no communication from the crew as we all stood at the gate waiting for instructions.

At the airport at check-in I had to wait 15 min to get a boarding pass and a seat allocated as there weren't any available as the company oversells tickets.. that's what they said to me at check in.. When boarding I was told that I needed to check-in my cabinet bag because of the crowded flight, the lady just put a label on the handle of my trolley and said to leave the bag down on my way to the plane.. Thing which of course didn't do... very bad service.. I'll keep traveling with easyJet and reconsider British airways only for a super cheap flight.
Cons: no entertainment at all more significantly, no beverages at all? Flight attendants came through once with the beverage cart, but only asked the person at the end of our row if he wanted anything. He asked for juice assumed it would be complimentary but it wasn't. They offered to get him a water. The flight attendants did not offer me or the man next to me anything at all. Everyone knows that air travel is dehydrating - I can't believe BA doesn't give provide complimentary water and juice.

Cons: We were never offfered a snack! The people in the rows ahead of us got a snack and the people behind us did as well. Last leg of a 3 flight series of about 13 hours (and overnight), so some coffee and a small snack would have been enjoyed.

Cons: We boarded late, sat on the plane for more than 2 hours (it was uncomfortably warm) and were told we then had to switch planes due to a mechanical problem. I understand this happens, but for the inconvenience BA should give some sort of compensation. After the long wait we were starving, but they ran out of all of the food choices. We were scheduled to arrive at 16:30 but ended up arriving after 22:00. this wasted our first night of our vacation in Rome. There was one passenger in particular who was yelling, swearing and causing a scene because of the flight delay. His rude behavior was rewarded with an upgrade to first class. The message this sends to your passsengers is that we should all be loud and obnoxious when problems arise. I was not impressed with my first experience with BA.
Pros: The staff were all very friendly, and even though we did not get seats together at check in, the gate agent managed to find us seats together which made the trip more enjoyable.
Cons: I was disappointed to find that there were absolutely no entertainment or connectivity options on board a 2 1/2 hour flight. It's pretty much standard across carriers now to have at least internet access and a portable device entertainment option. I also did not enjoy paying for even the most basic beverages on the flight. Coffee, tea, and soft drinks should be included. You'll save a pound, but lose a customer.

Pros: Traveling alone, especially in another country, can be daunting but at least there was no language barrier, almost! The aircraft and personnel were fine as expected. Much as expected in a domestic flight in the US.
Cons: Having to pay for a drink of water was unexpected. Not having to deal with cash for purchases saves the hassle for attendants, but the credit card machine did not work, there was no alternative machine to try after I was told "we have been having some issues", and as a result I was unable to have anything. The associate seemed unconcerned and unapologetic and simply walked away. Poor response.
