Cons: The redesign of seats means that very few of Delta's planes can actually accommodate a sherpa-style pet carrier, even though they are an industry standard for in-cabin travel. Further complicating the problem is that the clearance under the seat varies depending where in the cabin you're seated. It's become an extremely stressful proposition for which I have the privilege of paying an extra +$100 each way whilst having to give up one of my carry ons. As far as I can see, the charge is just straight up greed, since no one would be able to use the space beneath the seat in front of me, anyway, and carrying on my cat cause zero extra work for the crew. I'm going to have rethink my loyalty to Delta. At least with Southwest, they'll let me check two bags for no additional cost.

Cons: Since last I flew with them, Lufthansa has added annoying charges like so many other airlines (but not usually full-service international airlines). Advance seat reservation was $30 per leg and seat. (I paid only for the overnight eastbound flight; on the return I found enough seats available by online check-in just after it opened.) One overweight bag was $100. Considering these charges, Singapore Airlines is the better choice for FRA-JFK. Minor quibbles with the entertainment system: * Front-facing camera points very low. Would be nice to see other planes during taxi (not just their wheels). * New "live map" during flight added useless gimmicks (view of earth from space), removed data (altitude, speed, outside temperature).

Pros: Lufthansa has us on a short connection in Munich. But instead of bumping us like Air Canada, which does not care about customers, Lufthansa got a little van for our family of 5, took us through expedited passport control and helped us reach our flight. They have done a superb job and it is great to see an airline that has a very capable ground crew as well as air crew. Lufthansa made us feel like they cared about us and trust me traveling with three kids under 6 we very much appreciated it and they will have our return business!!

We were allowed a cabin bag and a small hand-bag in the flight but as we were among the last half of the passengers to board the flight we couldn't find anywhere to keep our luggage and the crew had to take them away from us to store them somewhere at the back far away from our seats. As a result we had to wait until all the passengers got off the plane to get back our luggage and we were the last two passengers to get off. Unpleasant!

Cons: The temperature in the cabin wasn't great, being so hot it will only breed those germs. Food could be better, especially breakfast. I think they should bring the drinks around more often too.
Cons: I booked this trip thinking it was with a European carrier - I had specifically wanted to avoid an American carrier. I was unable to confirm my flight online and had to ring because at NO POINT was I sent info that it was AA and not Finnair. I was charge almost $60 for this service because I did not have the right references sent with my confirmation email. T he seats were cramped and uncomfortable, I was unable to pick my seat on any flight and despite my request could not change it. Boarding at Chicago was a farce, none of the ground crew seemed to be in charge and we barely started boarding with 20 mins to takeoff. Needless to say the flight left late and we had to wait to take off, and of course had to wait to land in London.
Pros: The boarding process was expedient and the food was ok and standard for these flights.
Cons: I travel at least 1 week a month either to Europe, South America or across the United States. The Airplaine was extremely old and looked like it was not refurbished at all since the 90's. Unlike basically every other airline (including airlines from the developing world) the plane did not have a personal entertainment system which is rather vexing considering the flight is so long. The decoration of the plane looked old and worn. The crew were more interested in getting the job done quickly than properly.

Pros: I was running late getting through check-in because there was an abandoned backpack that caused a huge mob scene and delay. The American Airlines/(Finnair) check-in staff were WONDERFUL and made it all OK, pulling us out of the mob to get us through check-in. Then I went through security, which the check-in staff had tried to expedite, and got stopped for a random inspection. Then, after boarding passes were scanned, I was again stopped for a random search that took apart every zippered corner of my purse and my carry-on bag. But again, everyone was lovely to deal with. By the time I got on the plane I was grateful for having caught the flight, and for the kindness of the Paris staff, and marveling at what an obstacle course it had been. And I had enough leg room.
Cons: 1. The sound on my in-flight screen did not transmit the movie sounds, so I read a book all the way back. 2. The red wine was great to have. The food was like school cafeteria food, so I ate what I had brought with me. 3. The seats on airplanes never fit my body right. I sit very straight and upright, and I'm fairly tall. The airplane seats keep forcing my head forward and my back into a hunch.
Pros: Crew were nice, and since it was actually an AA flight we got upgraded to economy plus. And the price couldn't be beat!

Pros: The quality of the seat, cleanliness of the aircraft (with the exception of the restrooms). Ground and lounge crew excellent and knowledgeable. Boarding was swift but confusing.
Cons: In cabin crew was substandard. Very slow in the food service, often times rude and lound when addressing passengers, and failed to clean the restrooms in flight, which left them in dire state and smelled. An unusually unpleasant set of attendants, and sadly not one of them made up for the lack of professionalism the others showed. No priority boarding, they proceeded with boarding the first half of passengers all at once so rather confusing.

They said it “might “ to big even though they didn’t know what measurements would be too big. We’ve flown for the last 3 years with this stroller but different airlines and never heard of such thing. (Since it’s the smallest city mini double stroller there is and folds flat- super small!) first time we flew SAS all. We didn’t sign anything and gate checked it and all was fine but some incompetent crew at check in. Not very helpful finding seats with all four of us. Put us in different rows. Could work on their customer service for sure.

Cons: I was upset that neither Kayak nor SAS provided any information about our ticket being a basic, basic ticket, by which I mean, did not include any checked luggage allowance in the price of the flight. I ended up paying 140 additional Euros for two bags. It appears that SAS's pricing is gaming the system when searching for flights or that Kayak is not being up-front about the type of fare they are advertising.

Cons: Tried THREE hours to get a phone picked up to cancel my flight the day before this scheduled flight. My friends booked with Expedia the exact itinerary and were able to reach a human and we're told that SAS always reimburses for cancellations. I finally emailed vayamas/kayak to cancel and 5 days later received a reply that there was no cancellation refund. Apparently Kayak provides a no communication/no refund policy. My travel companion had the opposite experience with Expedia.

Had to buy clothes and essentials in order to keep plans in the states. Bag was missing for two days and delivered at 9 pm.
