Problem is that Allegiant didn't include taxes in the quote or amount I paid online. Surprise when I got to my destination and was told it would be $50 more. Alamo agent said I wasn't the first person to have that problem. Then on return my bag was damaged and was told I could place a claim at the ticket counter. It would have been helpful to have an agent there or a way to contact an agent. No such luck. After bag charges, poor service and hidden fees Allegiant isn't really a great deal."

Cons: "I say somewhat cheap, because by the time they ala carte everything, it's not so cheap anymore. As in no longer cheap enough to justify the bare bones service. The flight attendants are basically candy salespeople. I typically need help putting things in the overhead bin, but the flight attendant actually told me it wasn't her job. That indeed may be the airline's bad policy, but she also thought her way of expressing it was appropriate, which it is not. That has to come straight from the top. Also, what kinda janky airline doesn't serve complementary water. Probably the biggest deal though was that my flight was delayed for 2 hours both ways due to a maintenance issue. I know air travel is fairly safe, but given the track record of both Allegiant and Airbus, I was a little worried during the flights. Even though this particular route is convenient for me, I'm going to avoid Allegiant."

Cons: "The racist OKC TSA. The line was moving along and the TSA agent sitting behind the podium checking boarding passes put his hand up and asked me to wait there. There weren't that many people in the lines, so I was wondering why. His partner at the other podium watched him quizzically, as did I, as he paced left and right, looking at nothing then sat back down again and stared at nothing. All the while the line for screening grew smaller and smaller. The other agent asked him, "what are you doing?" He responded by saying, "You said you were getting THEM all." I didn't understand, but clearly there was some subtext that I was not privy to. She shook her head and said, come up here sweetie. Then she managed to do what he obviously couldn't do: his job. Then my girlfriend and I proceeded to be profiled and had our bags searched. If I didn't have to be in OKC I would avoid that airport like the plague. Unprofessional."

Cons: "When about to get on plane, carry on taken to checked bags; 5 people already on plane were required to come back off and check bags. I begged not to have to check because I was flying to Nicaragua and was worried my only bag would get lost. I was right -- it did not arrive in Nicaragua until the next day. We sat on runway for 45 minutes before departure so United could fix BOTH sets of the plane's wings lights. Why did they not discover that at any time BEFORE we all boarded or while we were boarding -- NOT first when deciding to pull away from gate. Delay caused many to miss connections."

They need to be a little more understanding not just to judge everybody equally for who we are traveling to"

Cons: "I've been on a lot of different planes but this plane was the most cramped I've ever been on. It seemed like they tried to fill every small space with an even smaller chair. I am a small girl but even I felt like I was running in to everything so I can only imagine how larger people felt."
