Long story short, it was one of the better flight experiences I've had in some time when compared with other airlines.
Smaller plane for a longer flight than my first one. Doesn’t make sense.
Another late night flight and MORE men belligerently drinking and yelling. I had to move from first to economy because they were so obnoxious and disruptive. Crazy to go from a cozy chair to cardboard when you were supposed to be in first. Delta allows was too much drinking which leads to belligerent behavior.
Because I was moved to an exit row, the snacks in economy comfort, the selection of snacks was better.
The WiFi didn't seem as fast as it normally is
The gate area was incredibly short staffed, with one representative manning 4-5 flights, which caused a 3 hr delay in boarding even though the plane was all ready to leave. Other flights also were delayed because of this. The flight crew was awesome and I feel bad for the only gate worker on call, but Delta needs to hire more employees.
It was a good experience except when boarding a female flight attendant did not go out of her way to assist my teenage daughters in finding space for their carry-ons after their compartments were full.
Great!! I haven’t had a bad experience with them.
The Delta flight was delayed for maintenance issue. The crew is also delayed and I’ve been there at the same time as I was so it was really outside the hands of crew directly. However, where Delta failed was there was about eight other ways for me to get to my final destination and they did not offer changes beyond the initial one. The flight was delayed five hours when they had to change my connecting flight they had to downgrade my premium class for so far zero compensation and I’m still waiting on the results of a formal complaint. All in all this was the worst experience I’ve had with Delta in quite some time
Connection from Asheville to NYC was over a hour later to ATL… Though Delta got me a room and meal vouchers still wasted hours of my time getting to be where I needed to be. W.:.
Didn’t happe- would have missed connection so we rebooked
The plane was very creaky and lots of ringing. Plane was dirty and dingy. I couldn't hear the captain's announcements from the flight deck. Not sure if it was the captain or the audio equipment, but good thing there wasn't an emergency where we needed clear instructions. The overhead compartments were clearly full, but the flight crew allowed people to stand in the back with their carry on luggage. Then after everyone boarded, they had to go to the front to gate check their luggage because there was no room for their bags and then they returned to their seats...such a waste of time when clearly the overhead compartments were full when they originally boarded.
I booked an aisle seat and was given a middle. At 6'4" 230lbs, it is not ideal to fly in the middle row for myself and passengers.
Awful. We had an 8 hour mechanical delay- no vouchers and no kind/courtesy/professional representatives in the entire airport. Not only was it a terrible experience for both my 7 year old and myself, I still have not heard back from American about how they’re going to correct it- I’ve sent 2 or 3 emails about our experience- which was just awful. Not to mention according to national traveling laws, we should be reimbursed… but of course they’re not responding.
The flight was fine. All the delays and poor communication and customer service were the worst! We were supposed to arrive in London at 7:10 am. In stead we arrived at 1:30 pm. And now American Airlines refuses to make things right but only sent a canned apology after I contacted customer relations.
The flight was delayed for over four hours due to “maintenance “. Your ground staff made no efforts to avoid my family missing their connecting flight to London. They did not try to reroute them and didn’t even offer meal vouchers without being asked. My daughter, her husband and four children were in the States for our son’s celebration of life service. They experienced rude and unhelpful staff in Asheville. The lack of communication was disgraceful. They missed their connecting flight and the first rebooking. Then the 2nd rebooked flight was delayed by over two hours. They didn’t leave Charlotte until 1:30 AM. Since returning home my granddaughters sleep has been so disrupted that they are overly tired and cry hysterically at bedtime. I have already contacted you regarding compensation but have yet to receive a response. All I’ve received is a canned wrote response. This is not acceptable!!! When my wife and I traveled to England in December on your partner, British Airlines, we were delayed for 4 and one half hours. We missed our connecting train to Leeds and had to pay double. They not only reimbursed our extra train expense, they also refunded half our airfare. And upon our return to the States we were surprised to find that they had upgraded us for free! Overall it was good but not great. The aircraft was an old and seats didn’t recline in business class unless you kept playing around with it.
The plane was subbed for another last minute, the gate was changed last minute. Could live with that but we boarded and there was a delay which totaled an hour in the end. There was a technical issue which meant wheels needed to remain out for ten mins after take off. My USB phone charger was broken as was the headphone jack which meant I could t enjoy the IFE and could use my phone after a few hours. Even the map function on the plane failed to work after a few hours.
When the flight was delayed for almost three hours, notification sent when you are already on the way to the airport, agents on AA counter give you promises which are not real… then any food or entertainment does not make the flight better.
The flight was delayed and we were told the airplane is on its way to the gate from the hangar. We were told this for 2 hours and the flight was continually delayed in ~30 minute increments. Then we ended up having a new airplane. The issue wasn’t clearly communicated and it left everyone feeling confused about when we would actually be leaving. Whenever they communicated a new boarding time it felt arbitrary and random. The boarding process was a mess and disorganized, which made it last longer than necessary. Landing was rough. Seats were uncomfortable.
