I didn't like the food
flight crew hit my chair all the time with the troller. Bought the places with bigger space on the legs, that was true, but was dissapointed with the type of chair that is totally closed at the sides, with no scape room for the legs laterally.
Great service, on time departures and arrivals, lie flat seats in business class. The planes were relatively new. Waiting lounges at Delhi and Frankfurt are well stocked with food.
The crew was kind and helpful and the movie selections, food, and seats were all great.

Passengers in transit are herded to the transit lounge where there are almost no facilities.
The boarding started late (30 min before supposed departure), took much longer than expected because we needed to use the bus. Then we waited another hour on the tarmac. We were told it would be only a few minutes. Then we were told we would make up for the lost time, but that wasn't true and an additional half hour was lost on a holding pattern at LHR. We missed our connection. The instructions were unclear on what to do (contradiction between flight attendants and ground crew). By the time we picked up new boarding passes, we had already missed that flight as well and had to go to the customer service, which took another 45 min. Flight entertainment didn't work the first hour. There was a high pitched beeping sound during the whole flight (not the regular airplane noise).

The flight was to Heathrow which was not prepared to accept us at all. We waited 45 minutes in passport control. I expect BA to make sure the port of destination is prepared to receive its passengers
The flight we ended up taking was just fine. The crew was very nice, most of the food was good, and the seats were comfortable even in stowage.
Our flight was about 10 hours so we got 2 meals, 1 hot 1 cold. The hot meal had a vegetarian option and that was acceptable. The cold meal was a chicken salad sandwich with no other choices. As a vegetarian we tried to take off the chicken salad part and just eat the rest but that didn't leave much. Vegetarian options for all meals would have been nice.

I was late ( I had to drive 230 Km ) and I managed to call in advance the company that was doing the check-in on behalf of SWISS - I asked them the Check-in time closing time and by almost flying ( speeding like crazy ) I arrived before that moment.
I did not check the terms and conditions of the ticket. I am a Star Alliance Gold member and I was expecting SWISS to have a similar booking system like the others I fly with. I found out that the ticket fare did not contain checked luggage ( so I had to pay a hefty fee for it ) and also my 20" wheeled case that was ok in all the other flights I took it with me, this time was oversized and overweight . My wife took out the 2 laptops so it became within weight limits but still oversized - My wife paid for the fee ( I wasn't there at the time and she is not a such experienced flyier as I am ) . When I found out about the fee, I checked their rules and I found out that the hand luggage is allowed to be 22" . I saw in the airplane a lot of people with cases having the same size as mine, that went as checked luggage at a cost fo around 40 . I want to see how can I get my money back . . .
Crew was nice.
Cabin is old and needs updating. For the cost of the ticket, I expected better entertainment, more room, and better food.
We flew Miami to Zurich, then Zurich to Rome. The international leg was awesome. The intra-European flight was less impressive. We “self-boarded” which was new to us - and wasn’t explained. The seats were smaller and there was only the drop down screens for every 2-3 rows, but otherwise, for a less than 2 hr flight, it was fine.
Boarding wasn’t fully explained for those of us who are not Swiss or German. I slept thru “lunch,” which apparently was a sandwich - but that’s more than many American airlines provide you on similar flights!
Excellent, super-friendly crew, excellent meal
Budapest airport crew is very slow. It took them 45 min to get the baggages out .
