Pros: crew was great
Pros: crew was great
Pros: nice new plane, lots of room
Cons: No snacks
Cons: Good flight
Pros: I felt safe add respected. They serve drinks and small snacks, no meals going to Hawaii, plan ahead.
Cons: The airport at Phoenix had little seating. I was funny in the floor in case someone needed a seat. Otherwise, everything was good.
Cons: extremely racist crew made the entire flight uncomfortable for everyone.
Cons: American crew and gate agents are awesome!!!!
Cons: more organized boarding
Pros: The crew was great
Pros: Flight was great
Cons: The AA crew at DFW are always rude
Cons: Need more space
Cons: Some of the crew. Eapecially first class was slow and poor at communicating
Pros: The crew was super friendly and attentive
Pros: That the flight was a very reasonable price
Cons: The flight was packed there was no separation of people for the convir 19 the seats were very close together my knees were touching the seat in front of me
Cons: They need to stop selling the flights at full capacity
Pros: They looked for 18 people to get off the plane because of weight restrictions and the process was very disorganized
Pros: Everything is good
Cons: Great flight
Pros: The fly was on time
Cons: No social distance has been practiced by AA very sad
Pros: Staff was nice.
Cons: Nothing really
Pros: The crew was awesome and boarding was quick
Cons: Sat cheek to jowels in middle seat. Seems like a train wreck about to happen with Covid
Pros: Only masked picking up trash during pandemic - difficult to rate crew
Cons: Organized exit vs. usual crowded chaos of passengers in a hurry
Cons: Except for Ginette , the rest of the crew weren’t courteous or polite. Couldn’t wait for you to complete your meal to clear up.
Cons: Better seats, the main cabin extra seats were just like the other main cabin seats. One particular stewardess was very rude to all the passengers, while the steward Jeffery was very nice and friendly.
Pros: The trip started off poorly with a day delay and rebooking hotel and car at final destination. Not to mention our final destination is San Antonio not Phoenix. We were not rebooked for a flight from PHX to SAT. But after a few hours we were finally booked. We didn’t really appreciate the 7 hour layover at 0100 in the morning and nowhere to get a meal or even coffee. However, the flight had the same crew from the night prior and they were excellent. The flight was open so we were able to get more leg room, less waiting time for the bathroom, and pretty much one on one service from our flight attendants. With all the struggle in the beginning, this particular flight was actually the best flight I have been on.
Cons: We were ok with the hotel and meal vouchers however, again, the only part of our itinerary looked at was the first flight, not the second into SAT. Had we not questioned the agent, we would have been stuck in PHX with no room, no car, and if we eventually would have gotten a flight, our reservations for car and hotel in SAT would have been cancelled and I would have been out $1700. I already lost money but it could have been worse. Basically, I am paying for a car and room that I am not currently in. Reimbursement for that would have been nice. Either way we will still travel using the travel service and this particular airline in the future.
Pros: Not much crew stayed in back almost the whole 6 1/2 hr flight and seemed not to friendly
Cons: It would have been better if they had departed when they said they were going to after a delay. Flight was delayed first 1 hr then two more hours. The airline finally posted that it would depart a 4 PM and we didn't even start boarding until 5PM. Then they tried to rush us on so that everyone was standing on the HOT jetway for 10 min waiting to get on the plane. Plane didn't take off til 5:35 PM. Over all on this trip I had three flights that were delayed. I'll think twice before taking American Air again.
Pros: Everything was good!
Pros: The greatest part of the trip for me was the smooth landing.
Cons: I wanted a voucher ride but they only needed a few volunteers.
Pros: The Flight crew was courteous and took care of us despite a series of extremely unfortunate circumstances.
Cons: Due to a computer malfunction we were stuck on the tarmac for some time, when it was decided to find a new gate to return to. /The tech crew eventually gave the all clear and upon returning to the tarmac, the same computer malfunction occurred, and again we had to return to the gate. This was all totaled 2.5 hours on the Tarmac. Finally, some 5 hours late we departed Miami in a different plane. Upon arrival in Phoenix, the captain wearily announced that there was no ground crew awaiting us, so we had to wait some time on the tarmac there to disembark. Never before had I heard a airline captain encourage the passengers to write a letter of complaint to his employer.
Cons: I arrived at the airport and had already checked in and had m boarding passes. For some reason they could not find me when I went to check my bag. After 30 minutes they saw that my seat assignment had been changed and that is why my boarding passes that I had printed at home did not match what their computer showed. I booked this reservation in May and had a seat chosen fairly toward the front. I am 73 years old and the closer to the front I can be helps. When I finally got on the plane to my surprise my seat was the very last seat on the plane across from the restroom. People continued to leave the door open after using the restroom so had to get up and continue to close the door or look at the restroom the whole flight. There was never any explanation as to why they did this. As a result, being lst off the plane, I almost missed my connection as I had to go two terminals over for my connection. At my age I cannot run so I arrived as the last people were getting on the plane. I will never fly American Airlines again.
Pros: The gate attendants and on-board crew were lovely. Pilots provided info which was great and made up some of the long delay.
Cons: There is not enough space to list everything. I paid $800 for a normally $300 flight, then paid an extra $75 for the ability to board early so I could store my very small roller carry-on. The in-bound flight was 2 hours late and even though I could track that easily, and assumed our flight would also be two hours late, the AA website insisted the outbound flight would be on time. So like everyone else, I went to the airport. And it wasn't until just before the original departure time that the update was indicated. Really?? If I knew the flight was going to be two hours late, that means AA knew, and didn't care enough about their passengers to advise them. Then when we boarded, my bag was taken away for gate check because the flight did not allow roller bags. After I paid extra. How can AA not advise you when you book your flight that roller bags would not be allowed?? Talk about a money-grab. I unfortunately have a return ticket and am not wealthy enough to throw it away and book on another airline, but I would if I could. I will never fly AA again and I will share my story far and wide.
Pros: Short flight.
Cons: Boarding agents could use some customer service training.
Pros: Nothing to like. If I could give them 0 stars I would
Cons: Tight connection from our previous flight yet the counter folks were rude and rushed us. My daughter is obviously 7 months pregnant. Because our connecting flight left milwaukee over an hour late, we had no time to even grab a sandwich, no problem we will buy food on the plane. Wrong! The food is was gone so quickly that by the time they got to us, they were out of everything. Oh did I mention we also had 3 children ages 2, 7, and 9. Oh yes and the entertainment? Small screens mounted on the ceiling of the plane. How about updating your equipment?? Plane was old. No USB to charge your phone and stream from their App. Terrible. We own a 2nd home in Maui and travel there twice per year. Looking at other options.
Pros: VEry good Cabin crew and the plane was reasonable new
Pros: The plane was newer, drinks are available. Seat only reclines half an inch or so so get ready for that.
Cons: Crew on aa is the worst bunch of entitled fools, almost as horrendous as united.
Pros: The duration of the flight, nothing to do with the airline
Cons: I was forced to check a bag in when I had flown previously the week before with the same carry on. $50 spent for nothing in my opinion. Per the supervisor over head bin size does not change yet my bag was "too big" like I said I had flown literally 4 days before this trip and had no problems with my bag fitting nor did any of the flight attendants say anything. I am just annoyed. Also I didn't know that I would fly American as it's through Alaska originally, maybe that was my lack of attention to detail. The carry on situation is what irritated me the most. This is also not the first time that I've had a problem with American Air.
Pros: Inflight entertainment was awesome.
Cons: Nothing was together, missed connection. Had to buy a hotel in Phoenix
Pros: AA put us in a hotel and gave $12 (per person) food voucher for missed connection due to delay for maintenance.
Cons: Our luggage was lost for 2.5 hrs in PHX airport, due to mix-up by service rep at customer service. AA attendant at gate at CLT was extremely rude and unprofessional when I accuse Left my boarding passes in seat pocket. Would not summon someone to retrieve it. Made me wait until entire plane was disembarked and cleaned, and made me wait some more after. She was super snarky, made rude comments, and almost made my family miss our connection to EWN. I will never, ever, fly AA again. Worst customer service and tons of issues with maintenance, luggage handling, and delays.
Pros: I have nothing good to say about the flight to LA or the flight back to Chicago from LA.
Cons: 3 of the 4 flights were late, and the 4th was canceled. The canceled flight was due to weather, but AA's response was to connect those of us stranded with a 3rd party vendor - Travelliance - with the promise of a SUBSTANTIAL discount for a hotel (SINCE THE NEXT FLIGHT I WAS GIVEN WAS 17 HOURS LATER!) - and there was, effectively, NO DISCOUNT. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars with you over the years, but this was a bucker of water in the face. I'm sure I'll fly with you again, but any sort of good will I held for AA is gone.
Cons: Delay, first told it was weather related, then mechanical. Re booked on a flight by AA that would never make connection. Paid over $1,000 for a flight leg that one way and direct on another airline (Alaska air) was $281.00 and the agent took so long to find redirect flight that they couldn't book. Total mess! While struck on the second leg and speaking with AA customer service about the reschedule I was told that they didn't have the ability to rectify the error because they no longer had control of my ticket and that I had to take into consideration that three was an event in San Antonio that caused delays network wide that added tio the initial issue... HOGWASH! 1) it was another AA issue where an AA aircraft drive of the runway while I was in flight on the first errant leg. 2) if they had just been straight from the outset, I wouldn't have been delayed. I will never fly AA AGAIN!
Pros: Airline and crew looked after us and kept us informed. My app said the flight was delayed but the captain didn't seem to know this so we sat for half an hour or more after planned departure. Maybe he hoped to get an earlier slot. We were 30 mins late in the end.
Cons: No food for purchase, just a drink and biscuit.
Cons: There was no food offered. The stewardess was not happy to be at work.
Pros: The staff tried to help as much as possible.
Cons: I called American Airlines as ssoon as I book my trip to set up and make sure my small dog could fly with me. They neglected to inform me their partner, jetstar, does not fly animals. My luggage did not arrive with me. Both of my suitcases were mangled and broken. Items in my suitcases were shattered and crushed even though they were well packed and protected. We got stuck on the terminal in MSP and missed our connecting flight. When we finally arrived the systems were down and could not get new flights or hotels. We were told we could not get hotels and had to argue for an hour. Even though it was a maintenance issue. I arrived a day late and had to take extra leave. The plane from LAX to Tokyo was horrific. I booked a window seat, was stuck in the very middle. There was no way to charge outlets devices. The screen did not work. And my new luggage was also damaged with even more items destroyed.
Pros: I did not like anything about the flight to be honest. Oh wait you did have cool club lights that were blue that tried to distract me from the fact that I had to take an American airlines flight.
Cons: Holy moly. You know if you stopped charging extra money for checked baggage you wouldn't have a ridiculously annoying amount of customers with too many bags for overhead storage. Then you wouldn't have to threaten your customers to store their small bags under the seat. Then I would have room for my feet under the seat. When I would have been comfortable. I also wouldn't have to annoy my neighbor with trying to move and get comfortable. But instead the exact opposite happened and I'm offended you guys have America anywhere near your name.
Pros: The crew they were awesome
Cons: All was good
Cons: Really uncomfortable seats that do not recline, several people constantly taking off masks, they charged for water (3$), no WiFi option or entertainment at all, tray table is too small to put anything on
Cons: Did not fly the had to change the flight frontier website does not work with safari. I change the flight an hour after I mad the flight and they said because I did not use google chrome that the change were not made they waned me to pay 402 to change a flight that I booked for 194. I could have bought two more tickets for 284. The told them that is what I need to do. By the revues I saw on line the did the same thing to at least 10 other people. Frontier said that a customer only has 4 hour to make a change to a flight. I talk to sever travel agents and was told we have 24 hours.
Cons: Just was delayed flight was to be at 8:41 and delayed to 1:49am sucked cause was very sleepy lol but other then that all was well thank you!!!
Cons: Boarding could be better. It’s could be organized.
Pros: Boarding was quick and easy. Stewards were courteous.
Cons: Seats are fairly hard and narrow for a large individual made worse by the protruding arm rests.
Cons: Nothing because everything is good.
Cons: Good service
Pros: Absolutely awful! I have never seen such a ridiculous airline before. More than 3 hours delays? Unbelievable! I am now at Miami airport stranded because of the long delays with Frontier flight from Atlanta. This is absolutely unacceptable!
Cons: Absolutely awful! I have never seen such a ridiculous airline before. More than 3 hours delays? Unbelievable! I am now at Miami airport stranded because of the long delays with Frontier flight from Atlanta. This is absolutely unacceptable!
Pros: That I made it there in one piece.
Cons: Not worth saving a couple dollars. Front tier airlines does not allow you to pick your seats before hand nor does it allow you to select baggage and the app, it is recessed for whatever reason. The seats are extremely tiny the tree table is so small you can barely fit an English muffin on it. There is no entertainment whatsoever, there is no Internet on the plane, and if you want anything to eat or drink besides water you will be paying for it. I’m sorry to say but flying on frontier was more like a punishment for me. I always fly American and wanted to save a few dollars what a mistake! With American most the planes that I have flown in have free movie entertainment and everybody seat the seats are comfortable And recline. And the snacks are free along with the soda. Please think twice before flying frontier.
Pros: Arrived in one piece
Cons: Departure was approximately 40 minutes late due to the plane arriving late. If you fly Frontier it’s you know... business as usual. I fly a lot and every other time with this airline has the same issue. Upon arrival we waited approximately 32 minutes until we were able to deplane. Crew unapologetically explains that since plane is going to maintenance we are at a shorter gate hence the delay - it is what it is. We are getting off some makeshift jetway. What?! At this point the passengers are ready to walk down the tarmac. I’m just glad it’s over.
Pros: Do people write here for frontier?
Cons: Sat on the tarmac for over 3 hours. A fight broke loose and we had to return to the terminal and then back to the tarmac for more sitting. The crew finally figured out how uncomfortable and frustrated people were getting 2.5 hours to sitting with no air on the tarmac. They relieved their customers suffering then with complimentary water! Now that’s service. Frontier is one of the most base airlines out there. I’m entirely frustrated that they are one of the only airlines that service our podunk airport.
Pros: It was comfortable clean I enjoy the flight
Cons: The stair his hips were really large and every time he walked by he would hit a bump everybody shoulders I mean I'm not discriminatory but that was a little much and he didn't even apologize it didn't even care so that was really bad
Pros: Tickets were cheap and plane looked clean
Cons: Lots of hidden fees. Crew was not polite. Seats were uncomfortable
Cons: Frontier seats are minimally padded and do not recline. It's difficult to sit in them for more than a couple of hours. Our 3.5 hour flight turned into a 7 hour flight after being unable to land because of storm conditions, circling for over an hour, and being rerouted to land at another airport for refueling before finally heading to our destination. It has been a week and our backs are still bothering us. We flew Frontier because it looked cheaper but after paying for luggage, seats, and food we would have been way better off to have flown on Southwest. We will never fly Frontier again.
Pros: Flight crew was good.
Cons: Gate agents and the manager that walked up to embarrass me in Atlanta were a joke. Also you may think of hiring English speaking gate agents. What a joke.
Pros: Easy check-in with app. Boarding by zone was smooth. The best part is that they send emails with with great deals, so the price was amazing!
Cons: There was no entertainment offered. No complimentary food/drinks.
Pros: The cost first and foremost and the smooth ride.
Cons: Of course the seats not comfortable thats about it I normally just take a nap dont need anything else.
Cons: EVERYTHING is an add on!!! Ticket price might be cheaper when you price check ....but by time you add on all the add ons your ticket price is NOT the best price. Won't fly Frontier again.
Pros: Clean modern aircraft, friendly crew
Cons: The seats are very uncomfortable
Pros: Good fare prices for tickets.
Cons: Seats don't recline.
Pros: Polite crew clean aircraft
Cons: Hidden cost. Difficulty checking in on line.
Pros: The baggage claim girl in Atlanta was Wonderful she was very pleasant to me and my boyfriend and expressed a genuine concern about my unfortunate circumstance. Mariah (Frontire baggage claim girl) did everything she could to make sure I got my Bag back and called as soon as it arrived Thanks Mariah !!!!
Cons: They lost my bags I was flying to Atlanta from Phoenix and my bag ended up in St Louis ... i would assume that if your going to make me pay for my checked bag it would atleast make it to the correct destination. The crew wasn't as pleasant and friendly as I'd like them to be but did there jobs (I guess) then we had to sit and wait for a gate .... the only reason why a gate finally opened up was because people started asking for snacks. Overall there was nothing special about this flight I was upset that I didn't have my luggage from the beggening of my trip but the day before I left my bag was recovered . The ticket was inexpensive but I'm not sure if it was worth the hasstle Then I had to pay for my bags coming back as well. Suggestion maybe have a 50% voucher ad a courtesy from sending a bag to the wrong destination.
Pros: Likely the most uncomfortable plane I've ever been on. Seats feature zero padding, the inability to recline, and a tray table the size of a DVD case. I'm 5' 9" 148 pounds, young and very healthy. I left the plane with a twisted up neck like I've never had before. I landed safely so I MUST be thankful for that, but if I was booking I would want to know this information. Since I'm the wiser now I will not book with Frontier again. Also it was an extra $90 for my CARRY ON round trip. It notified me it would be extra when I booked online but didn't specify how much. What a surprise. I spent more on the fees for the bag than I spent on the bag itself (and most of the contents for that matter).
Pros: friendly crew members
Cons: I was given a boarding pass that had the wrong boarding gate.I was boarding the flight from sky harbor Phoenix to AtlantaI. I almost missed my flight and nobody told the passengers the gates had been changed. I did not like that and felt disrespected. Yet I had paid for the flight.
Pros: Paid for more room. It was enough. Glad I paid for it. The price kept going up as I was shopping seats (over the course of 20 minutes) the first time this was after the site crashed. Lame.
Cons: Seat assignment pricing slowly tickin up as I check in seemed predatory. Baggage policy confused most people and made boarding slow. Rude worker. Everything costs $$$. Not worth the headache for the few bucks saved (I saved $20 at the end of day to not take Delta.)
Pros: I missed my first flight back to Phoenix and a sipervisor rescheduled me for a later flight. She was amazing and wonderful as there were no extra charges. She also helped me with handicapped transport around the airport. The man who got me from the counter to the gate stopped at a restaurant so I could grab some food as I didn't have any time to eat during the day. However all 3 flights were pushed back with the last over 2 hours late. I didn't get home until well after 2 am. Should have gotten home by 11:30 pm. Colleen
Pros: Price, but because I had to check a bag, the price ended up being the same as another more comfortable flight which would have offered more amenities. And I had to jam my carry on bag (which is free on other flights) into my checked bag, or it would have been more expensive overall.
Cons: The seats were horrible. Super uncomfortable and didn't recline. No free beverages on the flight which would have been nice to know beforehand since this was a 3+ hour flight. Frontier would have been a good choice for a 30 minute hop to vegas from Phoenix. Terrible choice for a long flight across the country.
Pros: flight time
Cons: dated plane, carry on fee, had to check my CARRYON
Pros: Leaving and landing on time.
Cons: Waiting forever while only two people did check in. The fact the carry on's cost more than checked bags or that they both cost so much.
Cons: The two costs; one for checked luggage, one for carry-on
Pros: You've got to be kidding me......
Cons: -a simple bag drop off was over an hour. It cost us only $30 for that. -no customer service to address the long wait times. No corporate emails or phone contacts. This means that they don't want to take complaints. Ps- there were 250 people in line...I counted 9 people calling customer service. I don't think any of them were success. -none of the kiosks were working at phx. I thought we were in the 21st century. -seats do not recline. Seats are uncomfortable. Food tray is tiny. And I do mean tiny. No water or soda or anything without paying for it. That's a bit unrealistic for a cross country flight. -Fees! For food, drinks, stowed baggage, carry-on baggage (what?), choosing a seat assignment (and I do mean any seat assignment ) -Frontier will never see this because they do not deal with complaints. Ps-I wasn't able to respond via Twitter. I didn't know if my cell phone was an issue or if Frontier blocked twitter feedback.
Pros: It hasn't departed yet!
Cons: So far, it's been a four hour delay. And it is still being delayed!
Pros: The only thing I liked about Frontier was getting off of their plane.
Cons: Where to start? The 5 hour delay was horrible. The customer service was non existent. I've never see such rude people. We asked for their names to report them and they refused to give us their names. They lost half of our luggage. All of this was just the outbound flight. On our return flight we walked up to the gate right as they were closing the door. Thy refused to let us get on but offered to rebook us another flight 2 days later. Asked the speak to a manager and it turns out she was a manager....lol. We had to buy another flight on Southwest Airlines to the tune of $325. All of this and never once did anyone apologize or try to do anything to make it better. There is a reason Frontier is cheap. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from them as you can.
Cons: The flight attendants were anything but helpful. The flight was incredibly rocky during landing and take off. Overall very uncomfortable flight.
Pros: The was changed with not enough notification to make the flight.
Pros: The flight attendants were rude. Both of them.
Cons: All the extra cost even for soda. Charging for carry on luggage. This should be included in the cost of the ticket. Luggage is a necessity when flying and it should all be included with the purchase of your ticket.
Pros: The flight was nice and I left and arrived on time.
Cons: Something that I didn't like was, the fact that when I left Phoenix on frontier I didn't know that I had to pay $60. for a carry on that fit in the over head compartment until I was about to board the plane. That's when they announced it and there were a lot of surprised passengers.
Cons: Passenger should have one carry-on for free
Pros: Too many hidden charges, seats are extremely uncomfortable
Cons: same as above
Cons: Seats, no drink/snack, too hot upon boarding (no AC)..
Pros: I didn't like anything about traveling with Frontier.
Cons: Upcharge for Seats, Upcharge for Checked Bags, Upcharge for Carry Ons, Upcharge for Water. They charge you for water. That seems illegal. The flight was delayed, the gate was changed. We had to change gates which means we had to go through security twice. The staff blamed everyone and everything else (even the passengers) for all the issues and took ZERO responsibility for anything. I can't believe they are still in business with this level of customer service. The flight attendants were ghetto too. Making light of a bad situation by saying the worst things possible. Total embarasment transfer. I'll never fly Frontier again and will think twice about booking travel with Kayak.
Cons: The plane door closed early and when we got to the gate in Atlanta the attendant was very rude and unwilling to help reroute us. We ended up flying American on the way there. After our return flight, we will not be using frontier again.
Pros: Attention to detail. Outstanding miles membership program.
Cons: Notta thing
Cons: Delayed flight. Everything took longer than expected
Cons: The carry-on luggage charge.
Pros: The flight was cheap and affordable
Cons: paying for carryon luggage and the price being 45. paying for snacks and drinks thats over priced and should be free like the other airlines. seats no longer recline and you have to pay for a seat if you pick one. by the time you pay for all of it the flight costs more or about the same as thr airlines.
Pros: Except for my "complaint," I thought the flight was fine. People were helpful boarding the play. The crew seemed friendly and chatty. I had a good seat (upgraded to the first three rows for extra expense). The monkey white wine was good and the flight attendant was witty and helpful. Thanks!
Cons: The only thing that caused me some concern was that the ATL gate on the printed ticket read 1 but the actual departure gate was 1A. At first I went to 1 and the flight information said Trenton and I didn't see the 1A or even go there to look. I found a helpful Delta service personnel who said, "Oh these people, they are never around to help the passengers. I'll help you. He went online at a kiosk in the general hallway and pulled up the flight as departing 1A. Sincere there was no way for me to know about this. I could have missed the flight. Either post someone to direct passengers OR put the correct information on the electronic ticket. Thanks.
Cons: There is a lot to complain about with this airline. I cannot comment on the comfort, food not entertainment because I missed my flight. Granted the flight missing was not the fault of the airline however I would have imagined that the staff would have told me in no way would I make my flight with the security lines the way they were. Once we made it through we ran the entire length of the airport to try and make the flight in hopes that they might delay the plane. That's is not the whole complaint because it happens. However; my bags flew with the flight I missed. The ticket agent assured us the bags would get to the destination and I could pick them once I arrived on the later flight (through a different airline). When I arrived NO employees where to be found. The "helpline" not helpful not even to tell me if the bags were there and lock and I could get them in the morning. Instead I was talk to condescending and rude, thanks to Kim in Colorado. I stayed the night over since my home is 3 hours from the airport. Next morning at 8:30 I call to speak to someone, helpline again unhelpful. Could not tell me when someone would be there or anything about my bags. I show up the airport. No staff. I waited for an hour and half for a ticket agent. Once I posted on their social media page that I was unhappy that person told me when they would be there and their hours. NOT THE HELPLINE but I already stood around picked up my bags and was out of there. I will never fly this airline. They nickel and dime you and have terrible customer service.
Pros: Flights were on time. It was a smooth flight.
Cons: The seats were not very comfortable.
Pros: The crew workers were amazing nice pilot was driving safe amazing customer services !
Cons: Y’all did amazing !!!!
Pros: Seats were very comfortable. Crew was very helpful.
Cons: Allow me to use my ported and filtered mask.
Pros: Flight was on time and very smooth
Cons: Everything was great
Cons: Better seat
Pros: Crew not nice! Very rude and not helpful
Cons: They charge money for everything and not help
Pros: The worst company EVER
Cons: The worst company EVER
Pros: Arrived to our destination (DFW) on time
Cons: I didn’t have a problem flying Spirit Airlines because on their site they had advertised that the middle seats of their flights were going to be left open for passenger safety due to COVID-19. I was in for a surprise once we boarded because they had the plane packed. Majority, if not all, of the rows were packed. I do not recommend and will not be flying Spirit again. It’s not worth the little money saved.
Cons: Not have someone in the middle seat during a pandemic.
Cons: Overall great experience. Thank you.
Cons: Way too many passengers
Pros: On time departures and crew was very professional
Cons: I wish that Spirit gave some kind of complimentary snacks/drinks for people that pay more money for the “Bug Seats” (like a business class style seat)
Pros: Flight took off and landed. Glad it was my wife sitting next to me.
Cons: Carry on bag? Extra $. So we combined our regular carry on into one and checked the bag. Price for the one bag was as much as my ticket. Return flight ticket counter agent SO hates her job. She was miserable. We were standing at the stanchion, waiting for the next agent to call us. She just stood there. Made eye contact, smiled and gestured to ask if she was open... Blank stare. Minutes later we walked up and she was open. Charged me even more for bag than flight down. Didn't buy anything on trip and bag was magically 15 pounds heavier than the flight down. Also got "hit up" for money by fellow passenger. Don't mind helping, but story was suspect. Anyway, I'm only going to use Spirit as a last resort in the future.
Pros: Brand new airplanes, and pleasant stewards.
Cons: Over two hour delays waiting to board going both ways. In both cases the planes and cabin crew were on site but waiting for pilots. Apparently the pilots are suffering from 'blue flu' because they're not getting paid as much as other airline pilots, so they're intentionally calling in sick at the last minute. If the pilots keep this up they won't have airline to work for. Also didn't like that you pay for ANY luggage (even one carry on bag). By the time you pay for the add on fees your right back at the same price as other airlines. Then you add the time delays on, and your losing out. Won't be flying this airline again.
Pros: Honestly, there was nothing to like.
Cons: I can't give it a rating because they cancelled the flight and had nothing to book us on. Waited over 3hrs before they finally found me something. Gave me a hotel voucher but when I finally got to the hotel, they had no rooms. The transportation to the hotel cost a fortune because the hotel shuttle would not pick up the phone. They finally put me in a room with someone else from my flight. I got 60 min of sleep before having to return to airport. I'm a 49 yr old woman that flies often and this was by far the worst flight/airline experience that I've ever had. And, the lady at the hotel kept my food vouchers so I didn't even get to eat the next day.
Pros: Everything went smoothly
Cons: A lady helping to help us print boarding passes wasn't very professional. She just said, "you have to print your boarding passes before you go check in your bags." Her tone was commanding and rude. Could use improvement and some fine tuning. I know she didn't mean to be rude. Just needs more training. I got the notice of the gate change when I got home to Baltimore. And things are just too expensive. Even though I checked my bags and paid online, I still paid $40. Too expensive. And you pay for every little thing. I would fly Spirit again, but likely not my first choice.
Cons: When arrived I had to pay 10 dollars to print my boarding pass. I then had to pay $50 dollars to check my bag. I went to my gate and my flight was delayed. Not a big issue it was just delayed by 45 min. Once we boarded we sat there for about 30 to 40 min just to be told the pilot never showed. So they pulled us off the plane. We were then told that they had another pilot coming but it's going to be 2 hours. I was delayed 4 hours not beacuse of weather or plain issue but beacuse the airline could not keep there schedules in order. How did they not know a pilot was not going to show. How annoying it was to load on a plane to be pulled off again and loaded on again. Worst flight I have ever had and after all that they did not provide a complementary drink or even offer to refund my bag check beacuse of the huge mistake on thee behalf.
Cons: The ticket appears nice and cheap. but it isnt. they charge you 55 dollars for a checked bag, another 55 dollars for a CARRY ON bag, AND their weight limit is 40 LBS instead of 50LBS, so if you have a normal checked bag it's actually going to be almost 100 dollars. If they could have I am sure they would have charged me 25 dollars for a seat-belt and charged me 10 dollars for using the airplanes bathroom. They are the epitome of money grubbing cheapskates. this is not to mention the seats being at least 4 inches closer together than any other plane I have ever been on. crammed in their like sardines. Spirit airlines is a complete pile of $hit and I will never be flying with them again.
Cons: We checked in at the kiosk and then got in the baggage drop line and it was an hour long. Fortunately we were two hours ahead of schedule so we made our flight no problem. The poor couple in front of us missed their flight and was told that it was their fault by the front desk. The front desk person said that they had called for their flight and they should've responded. I can tell you that no one ever mentioned any flight. It wasn't like the line was to check in, it was only to drop the bags and it took forever. Very poor service and I feel so sorry for the people that we're headed to Texas and Missed their 7 o'clock flight. I find it also misadvertisement that we paid $49 for the flight one way and then had to pay $55 for the carry-on. Really the flight was for $104. Next time I will check for all and any options instead of Spirit and be willing to pay more money To go with another airline.
Pros: i have flown spirit multiple times out of phoenix in all kinds of weather and not once has it ever taken off on time! once the airline attendant even yelled at the passengers upon arrival at the gate like we were all children. I decided to check the status today instead of waiting in the airport for four hours and yes--- again it was delayed one hour and then two hours. so I planed accordingly and planned to be at the airport 1.5 hours ahead of the revised flight time. then they changed the flight time again and now I've missed my flight. this airline is absolutely the worst and I have flown domestically and internationally for over 35 years. I'm done with you spirit!
Pros: That I arrived to my destination in time and as scheduled.
Cons: There was no indication anywhere in the reservation process of the costs of bag checks and the "privilege" of a carry on. I was also never sent an email prompting me to check in online and check bags there. (I'm told it's rather cheap if you do it that way) Instead, I was greeted with a 49 dollar fee for my carry on, and 53 dollar fee for my checked bag. That was bumped up another 30 dollars when I discovered bags above 45 lbs are charged extra on spirit. I ended spending more than twice the value of my ticket just for bags, for markups I was never told of and could not of reasonably anticipated as a consumer. This, combined with less than professional conduct from spirit flight attendants, fellow passengers, and the ridiculously uncomfortable conditions on the plane, means I will never be flying with spirit again, and will trust kayak much less. As a comprehensive trip planning service, kayak should be able to generate plane travel costs, and have options to include associated costs such as baggage, with the price of the ticket in flight price tracking. This is a necessary feature for any company that provides a service like Kayak.
Pros: Loved the flight attendants. Very helpful and grateful they were willing to help me relocate to another seat forward of the rear.
Cons: When I went online to purchase a seat the only one showing available was 28E at the far back of the plane. When I entered the random choice the assignment was 26C.... why was this one not shown??? And why couldn't I purchase a seat forward of the rear??? This flight was half empty. Thankfully the attendant moved me up to Row 11 which was totally empty. I do NOT like sitting in the back of the plane and that is why I try to purchase a seat over or forward of the wing. NOT a happy camper over this.
Cons: Online check-in did not work, app check-in did not work, kiosk check-in did not work. Despite efforts to save money, I was forced to pay over $110 in additional fees. Service counter attendants were not friendly. I asked if I could fly standby on an earlier flight since I had gotten to the airport 4 hours early. I was told "This is not Southwest, you can't get on an earlier plane without paying $120 for it". Flight was changed to a new gate but wasn't updated on the monitor. I had to check flight aware to see what gate we were at. Flight attendants were rude and boasted about being the youngest flight crew in the sky, which is nothing to boast about. There are many veterans of the sky that exhibit amazing customer service and flight expertise. This Moto degrades those who have spent 20 + years in the sky making sure we are safe and comfortable. I would rather have a former fighter pilot with combat experience flying my plane. So spirit airlines, do I think you being young is an advantage over the other airlines, No. I care about customer service and safety. And I have yet to feel that from your airline. From the check-in counter to the flight attendants, the staff treats customers without respect and then charges you for it. I'm done.
Cons: Our flight was delayed 3 hours for mechanical issues. The staff at the gate was the unprofessional...rude, sarcastic and just plain miserable. I even witnessed a shouting match between the gate crew and a customer who walked up to ask what the new time for take off was...She answered his question by stating, "the same time I said 5 minutes ago." The male passenger didn't hear the announcement (because she talked so fast). He kept asking and she kept repeating her snarky response about "the time time I just told you" until it became heated. Absolutely ridiculous. Not much improved when we made it on the aircraft. It felt like it was a shell of what a "finished" aircraft should look like. All in all a pitiful experience. I hate that I already purchased my return flight with Spirit. Saving $50 was NOT WORTH IT!!!!!
Cons: I fly a lot. I took spirit because of the great deal I got, but will never fly them again no matter what. I will pay more for a flight because of the poor customer service. My flight was cancelled after being delayed after 10 mins. This is was about my 10th time flying the airlines, I was trying to give them a chance, and every time have had serious problems. I work customer service and understand how annoying these message are and realize there will probably be nothing done about how I feel and the poor service I received, but really this was a horrible experience. Lucky I am savy at finding new flights. I stood in line to change mine while on the phone with spirit and lucky cancelled the flight with spirit. I had to rebook with a different airlines. The difference between the flight was $240. My husband rebooked it for me while I was on the phone with spirit. Never again will I fly this airlines, no matter what I do!
Pros: Both flights boarded fast and left on time or early. I liked that I got everything I would normally get with a Delta flight for a lot less money. Sure they charge for drinks but I'd rather pay $3.50 for a coke than pay $150 to get it free on Delta. Seats were snug but so are Delta and American seats on most flights so I'm used to that and it was comfortable. And very cheap to upgrade to exit aisle or business class if more room is needed - which I did on the flight home because I had to work on my laptop. Staff was GREAT!
Cons: Tray tables are very small. Not enough room to work on laptop unless you upgrade to business class or exit aisle. Little armrest room so be prepared to rub arms with your neighbors. Don't make us listen to ads for your credit card promo. Hate when airlines do that because we are paying to be there and shouldn't be subjected to ads we can't get away from.
Cons: We had the unfortunate experience of dealing Spirit Airlines yesterday at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, August 13th, on the way to Boston for a wedding. We were asked to check in at the kiosk, which we did. And after spending $412.36 on airline tickets in July, we had to pay $55 for one carry-on bag. After completing the transaction, we were notified that our boarding passes could not be printed and head to the desk. After speaking with their customer representative, "James", we were told the flight was closed and there was nothing he could do. He said the flights are non-refundable and we should have arrived sooner, although our receipt clearly shows we were there ahead of their 45 minute mark. We asked him for our $55 dollars back for the baggage and he said he'll need to get his supervisor. This is when "Carmen" the supervisor came to the station. Their names are in quotations because both employees refused to turn their badges over to show their names, which seems very shady at a security-centered facility like a main international hub airport. (I took photographs of both employees) She said she can not give us a refund and rudely pointed to our receipt to mention all baggage fees are non-refundable. We asked her why would Spirit even charge us a baggage fee for a flight they were not going to let us get on and she said she didn't know, but she can't help us. Neither employee offered any assistance to get us on another flight. We have contacted Spirit Airlines with the receipts showing the time and photographs of the employees, but I think this issue requires further assistance after reading multiple stories online dealing with this same airline. The fact that they are allowed to charge us for bags the day of, then not refund the money, while taking our flight fees, seems illegal. I urge you to take a look into their business practices. They have cost my family hundreds of dollars, with regards to hotel and rental car cancellations, lost traveling fees, time off work, and the main displeasure of missing a wedding!
Pros: I LOVE the smooth ride of the flight. No turbulence
Cons: I was not informed by text the flight was delayed. 3 hours. ILearn Once I arrived before 5:30 p.m. . The flight is delayed until 9:03 p.m. . They kept telling the passengers. It was a severe storm in Philadelphia... I have several other workers stated we were bumped. Because of a mechanical problem with another plane. I check back with family in the Philadelphia area. It did not storm nor rain. So spirit customer service told untruths. As per company overhead. The aircraft was extremely crowded. Crying babies. Adults who did not take a bath. Overall disgusting for my first time ever flying with Sprint. What a lasting impression
Pros: Never fly this airline, they are horrible! I called several times about my flight because I knew I would be late trying to make the flight and they were rude. Customer Service is horrible. They cheat people out of their money smh. Terrible. I'm currently looking to sue!! Don't fly with them. No matter how cheap it is. Fly with Aleigant or Frontier first. Least they won't just keep your ticket money if you miss a flight they will make amends. SPIRIT is tacky, classless, and just overall a terrible airline. They need to be out of business. Seriously. Don't say I didn't warn you!
Pros: To upset about what went wrong to think about any thing positive.
Cons: Flight was delayed for so long, that when we factor in the time that it toke to wait plus the two hours that I had to show up in advance plus the 45 minutes that I had to wait for my luggage, it would have been more convenient to drive From ATL To Tampa, The reason given was that there was no crew to flight the Plane, I missed the meeting I was supposed to be attending, so, I ended up just flying to Tampa For the pleasure that it is to fly in Spirit where they nickle and dime you for every single thing even if your flight is delayed for the same length of time it would take you to drive to your destination.
Pros: The plane from Atlanta to LAX was new and comfortable. We met 2 friendly crew members in Atlanta at the gate that helped us because James at the check in counter was rude obnoxious and not helpful.
Cons: Your website is the worst airline website I've experienced and I travel 5-6 times per year on other airlines. Somehow the baggage choices I made at booking did not register and you made sure I paid double at check in. You crew member James in Atlanta was rude and unhelpful. We couldn't understand what he was saying to us and when we asked him a question he was obviously annoyed that we spoke and let us know it. I manage a company with 90 employees in a sales enviroment and he would not work for me 10 minutes. Your business model is disingenuous at best and ends up being a rip-off. You advertise low rates on Kayak and other sites that say nothing about your baggage fees and extra charges. Only after the flight is booked do you find out about the extra, and may I say ridiculous, baggage charges. When the final bill is tallied any other airline would have been cheaper and the service would have been better. This was my first and LAST Spirit flight.
Pros: Not one single thing!
Cons: Having to fly on Spirit, your crooked, deceitful, poor customer service ways. You are the bottom of the bottom! I can't believe that our government allows you to stay in business. Your planes are dirty, reeks of puke, and unsafe. It's only a matter of time before people start having health problems because of your dirty nasty planes and before the planes start falling out of the sky because of the old, poor maintained planes. Do us a favor and merge with another company who knows how to run an airline business like Southwest, American, Delta. Better yet, just SHUT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: The only part about this flight experience I enjoyed was the clever way the flight attendants did their introduction/safety announcement before takeoff.
Cons: I waited in line to check in for 1.5 hours where they then told me I was too late and asked me to sign a piece of paper without at all explaining to me that my bag would have to go on the next flight. I am lucky I asked first because they had to make a special call for me since I couldn't wait at the airport for it at my destination. If I did not ask I would have been completely screwed up! I then waited in security for 45 minutes. My flight got delayed about 3.5 hours Total before actually taking off. I flew from LAX to PHX. I will never in a million years ever fly spirit airlines again.
Cons: Everything else. The crew was unenthusiastic, unhelpful, and borderline rude; I was forced to return to my seat multiple times while waiting to enter the bathroom, although other passengers were allowed to move freely. The bathroom in the front of the aircraft was out of service. No complimentary snack or drink is offered; you must pay for the limited selection of snacks and beverages avaialable. Everything from the seats to the menus were tattered; the pouch in back of the seat in front of me has not been cleaned before the flight so to my surprise, I found garbage as I reached for my menu. There is no form of entertainment available; no radio, televisions, or wifi. Nothing about the flight was pleasant and if it had not been the only direct flight available for my destination at the time, I would not have chosen Spirit. This was my first and, hopefully, last time flying with Spirit, barring an extenuating circumstances. You get what you pay for and with Spirit, that's not much.
Pros: The flight attendants salvaged the experience. I think weather delayed the flight, but the info provided before getting on the plane just made it seem like the pilots just weren't there. Couple that with discussion about how often Spirit is not on time a lot, led to a frustrating experience. Finish that off with boarding onto a plane that wasn't running, a/c was off and pilots still weren't there. Flight attendants jumped on it. Apologized for the inconvenience multiple times, kept everyone updated on efforts to get a/c started, passed out water, very friendly. Kudos also to the pilots who came in from Vegas and were supposed to be done for the day. They got on our plane and flew us to Tampa. I would guess that they didn't have to do that and if they had not, we may have been further delayed. I generally fly Delta. Had the on board experience not been what it was, I would be a one & done flyer with your airline. I will try you again based on the actions of those mentioned above.
Cons: Gate personnel could have provided additional details and communicated better. It was just like, well we're delayed....sorry. Deal with it.
Pros: There was a Hispanic gentlemen who told jokes over the intercom and was very nice to passengers
Cons: In general, the flight crew seemed jittery, restless, chattery. They seemed unaware that it was an early morning flight, and passengers might be trying to sleep. The lights were turned on halfway through the flight, which seemed inappropriate for those who wanted a quiet morning to sleep. I was in the last seat in the back, and the flight crew would keep shifting around their own luggage in a disruptive way, chatting at a higher volume than appropriate for sleeping passengers. And collecting trash every five minutes seems a bit much. Overall, the experience was the worst flight experience I ever had.
Pros: The flight was cancelled dye to "unexpected weather iin Colorado" however after talking to a different airline and also a friend who flew to CO, I know it was bullshit. The weather in CO was perfect an my flight was canceled because Spirit airlines couldnt fill the flight. That is NOT MY PROBLEM and I shouldn't suffer for this. I do a lot of travel and have NEVER has a canceled flight. I used to fly between PHX and LA frequently and have been on next to empty flights but I have never been held responsible for the airlines inability to get business. I will NEVER book a flight through Spirit EVER again!!
Cons: The flight was cancelled dye to "unexpected weather iin Colorado" however after talking to a different airline and also a friend who flew to CO, I know it was bullshit. Cons: Check in at Atlanta airport was a mess - there were several lines and it was not clear which line i should take to check in for my flight. Despite i arrived 2 hours before take off, I almost missed the flight.
Pros: I like getting out of the airport and vowing to never fly Spirit again.
Cons: Spirit's computer system had an "error" which marked me as a security risk. I had to go through intensive security screening TWICE. I was given a hand written ticket that was not honored at the gate stating their computer error has blocked me from flying. With this status I was unable to take my flight or rebook one. Luckily I got a full refund. Definately not worth the hassle and airport drama I will NEVER fly this airline again. I feel sorry for their employees who have to deal with such a shitty system.
Cons: This is the ONLY airline I have ever used that did not check to see if any missing passengers were going through checkpoints. They left about 25 of us behind because we were stuck in TSA. The flight that left later to Detroit did the same thing to their passengers. The staff was incredibly rude, if they rolled their eyes more than they did they may have fallen out of their heads. They had the attitudes of spoiled teens that were working as punishment for something. The flight itself was alright, but even the attendants were unpleasant. I ended up stuck in the airport alone for seven hours, some people were told they had to wait until the next day! I've flown many times and this is the ONLY airline I have ever seen that did such a thing. I will NEVER use them again, nor will I recommend them.
Pros: If you're interested in a quick flight- UNDER $300 almost ANYWHERE**, THIS is the airlines to fly.. It's simple, fast, and got to my destination with little to no hiccups*
Cons: Wow, the comments below are all similar.. Look, Prices should be announced as: (ex) Atl to Orlando $160+baggage.. <--- I've heard SO MANY complaints from passengers about baggage fees.. Look, If it's one of the only ways to get extra income, then a simple carryon fee for $25 should be attached accross the board* Even IF someone didn't have a carry on, the $25 should still be within the ticket- THAT WAY, you won't have disgruntled customers having to cough up an extra $50-100+ at the check-in.. AFTER they probably spent too much on their travel.. (Not saying only poor people take Spirit, but there IS a reason people fly with them.. Because it's supposed to be economical*
Cons: Every Spirit flight at the airport was delayed at least an hour and a half--- most several hours. It was not due to weather, but needing maintenance on planes and new crews. All of which could have been planned out to keep schedule, but they just don't care about their customers. They never apologized, never said "hello" or "welcome," never said "goodbye" or "thanks for flying with us" or "have a good day." The seats are squished closer together than most planes, with the headrest in front of you being a couple inches away from your face. Seats do not recline. You can pay $25 extra to be in one of the very few rows that has a couple extra inches of legroom, though. No modern conveniences like tvs or power plugs or wifi. I paid $10 extra to board the plane earlier, in Zone 2 instead of Zone 3, in a desperate hope to find overhead luggage space (I've been burned before), and then during boarding they announced Zones 2 and 3 together! People paid money for that privilege to move up a group, but they made us all board at the same time that we would have without paying extra. With no refunds. Unacceptable. They nickel-and-dime you until the "cheap flight" now costs more than other airlines. I understand charging for the checked bag. I expect that nowadays. But they charged $55 for the CARRYON bag! And every single item they could give you on a cross-country flight cost money. Even WATER. You have to pay for water on a five hour flight!! They did really push the credit card applications, though, as if they were doing you a favor. The worst turbulence of my life I guess isn't the airlines fault... But it doesn't help the experience when people actually scream from fright. Then, once on the ground and glad to be alive, (again, no normal human/customer service pleasantries of any kind, just a "get off my plane right now" vibe from flight crew) we had to wait 45 minutes for our bags at Baggage Claim! 45 minutes!! I heard about 30 different passengers on my flight say loudly they will never fly with Spirit again, and I agree! I am definitely never flying with Spirit Airlines ever again!
Cons: Arrived and Checked in over 45 minutes prior to boarding time and were told our luggage could not be checked even though our checked bags were already paid for. Then our flight departed early from the terminal without notice causing us to miss our flight. Spirit employees working at the terminal refused to help us find a different flight and told us we would need to go to the check-in counter at the entrance of the airport to find a new flight. The next available flight to Chicago was the next day so we lost a whole day of our trip. The next day our flight left early again, but we were there in time. Unfortunately my checked luggage was lost. I will be avoiding Spirit airlines if at all possible in the future. The extra cost of other airline companies is well worth it.
Cons: The airline continued to delay the evening flight all day. I called and asked if the airline could accommodate me on another flight to get me to my destination but said they couldn't. They only offered to refund my money and offered it very quickly as if this happens often. After delaying the flight all the way until midnight I arrived at the airport to check in and once again see if spirit could move me to a different flight or airline. The lady at the counter laughed at me and proceeded to tell me no. The flight ended up getting canceled and the next flight I could be moved to was over 24 hours later. Needless to say I ended up taking my money back and will not be using the gracious $50 credit the airline offered me. After checking the other flight that left later the weekend it was plagued with massive delays also. Not sure how this airline stays in business.
Pros: Nothing. Flight was cancelled. That was just the beginning of a travel nightmare. I can't believe Kayak compromises their reputation by representing a shoddy, sham of a business like Spirit.
Cons: Cancelled flight at the very last minute because of lack of crew. Not enough staff to accommodate travellers trying to rebook flights. Inept and apathetic staff who were obviously resigned to the fact that Spirit is a substandard airline There was miscommunication and lack of communication in organizing travelers which caused multiple altercations between upset travelers. It was a very disturbing experience. My rebooking took an hour because the staff member didn't know how to rebook! The 'Supervisor' who was at the next desk, was SLOWLY checking bags for other customers and did not help AT ALL. I suggested that he switch places with my agent. He ignored me competely. Attempts to call Spirit resulted in multiple auto transfers and ultimately an intentional auto cut off. I was rebooked on United. When I checked in at their desk, they told me that all the other transferred Spirit customers before me had been sent back to the Spirit Desk because their transfers had not gone through. I have been warned about Spirit. Now I would warn anyone considering Spirit. If it goes right, you're ok. If not, get ready for a travel nightmare. No one needs this kind of abuse.
Pros: Cheap fares but then lost all my money because they weren't helpful.
Cons: Security took too long and spirit doesn't have mobile boarding passes so I missed my flight. Then after I ran to the spirit counter they didn't offer my a voucher for another flight nor a refund. They said they could move my flight to the next day or do nothing. I fly a lot and have never ran into this problem before. Don't bother trying to call their "customer service" phone number either because it's the wrong number, then you will be redirected to an answering service that doesn't work, then placed on hold for 20+ minutes, followed up by a service rep who isn't helpful and doesn give you any answers.
