I didn't eat dinner as I was too tired, but the breakfast was good and dinner looked pretty good. For airline food, that is. The staff were very polite and friendly.
I previously flew Tokyo to Sydney premium economy on Japan Air and that created expectations. This was significantly worse. The seats were not as comfortable or as spacious. On JL, you have a bit of a barrier between you and the person in the next seat. On Qantas, you very much do not. While this is probably more just bad luck than anything else, the boarding experience was nightmarish with swarms of people blocking every passage.
My seat got moved when I had pre-selected them. The power outlet between the seats didn't work so I couldn't use my CPAP. The earphones/jack would only have sound in 1 ear.
Love the Airbus 380!
They didn’t pick up trash very often. Had to store it on the floor by my feet.
Crew, spacious seats and airplane.
Plane was a bit old, like bathrooms.
The flight was good, there was enough leg room.
My husband and I are seniors, luckily we exercise daily, because we were told to take the stairs down to the airplane and had to walk to the plane in the rain and then walk up the stairs to the plane. When we boarded we actually should have gone through the plane as our seats were closer to the front. The stewardess should have used common sense and directed everyone through the plane, there was absolutely no reason to send people through the rain.
Plane was clean and the service crew was capable.
Flight took off a half hour late and this 4 plus hour international flight from Australia to New Zealand had NOTHING TO EAT. This flight didn't offer a muffin or power bar only beverages. I have never been on a 4 hour flight where the passengers were not given some small complimentary snack. Shame on Virgin Australia.
Check in was easy and the flight was on time. Good service
I did not use the food runner 10 but but everything else was five stars
The comfortable seats and refreshments
I did not know how to get a seat assignment so ended up in a middle seat even though I booked months ahead.
We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.
We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.
Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.
If you have more questions or if you have a bad price to report to us,
please send us an email and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.
