My laguages did not arrived and delay on both doigt. I missed my connexion to Mumbay from Nairobi on 3rd. Therefore, I missed my unchageablble flight to my final destination. I had to buy last minute ticket for Bangkok-Koh Samui which was very pricy!
Any compensation so I'm feeling very unhappy!
Ahmedabad airport is ill equipped to handle international flights. From check in to security, it is highly inefficient and disorganized. When the flight had technical problems there were no jet airways gate agents to help passengers rebook on site or answer questions with proper information- they passed that responsibility on to ethihad airlines in Abu Dhabi- since I missed my connecting flight, my original 10 hour journey turned into a 22 hour ordeal.
The cabin crew were inattentive. Call buttons went unanswered or were deliberately left.
The service was basic.
The crew allowed economy class passengers to continuously use our business passengers toilets and spaces, frequenting my space which was an annoyance.
The toilet I used were a total wreck with cabinet panel doors left open. On a second visit it was all too apparent that someone had urinated all over the commode and the open panel door. Ridiculous is an understatement !
Not enough due courtesy or cooperation was extended to us the business class passengers when we were trying to stow away our hand luggage.
To serve a plate of open mixed nuts then take off is a nonsense as I saw how those plates slid off and caused messes on passengers within my view.
The business class seating did not recline enough.
The entertainment on offer was totally substandard for the well travelled international passenger whom is woed by other carriers. On my return trip there was no entertainment at all on offer, very strange. Biman is a joke !!!
The very dated aircraft interior left everything to be desired. I have deliberately kept many snapshots as evidence.
Business class passengers pay that extra for a reason. The whole compliment of passengers for the entite plane were boarded and unboarded through our cabin areas, totally unacceptable and unjustified.
The time I tried to purchase two on board duty free items, surprise surprise, yet again was told some nonsense and it was yet again another negative an experience.
So overall, I will endeavour never ever to make the mistake of flying with any such substandard an airline whom a-z seem to be either be guided by or employ "clowns" whom are not in touch with the realities and ongoing standards being maintained by other carriers.
Meal and snack was tasty and piping hot. Plane was brand new 737-800 in great shape. Entertainment system worked as described although there were some glitches with movie playback and the Moving Map program. The flight departed BKK on time! Crew were pro and attentive.
Bit of a hard landing in Dhaka, but maybe that's how the pilots have to do it?
The staff were great with my dog(golden retriever) really helped me... Also the service overall was fantastic best journey I have experienced yet travelling to China and I have lived here 8 years so probably 100 flights
Air India cancelled its Kochi Agati flight three times the week we planned a trip to Agati. Luckily our flight was not cancelled but there were people who got stuck on the island for 3 to 5 days. Always have a cushion of at least a day for your onward journey from Kochi. The aircraft is ancient and would have been out of service if it was USA airline company.
The wine selection is French always ..why...?
There are so many other nations producing wine ..
The crew cannot make a real espresso coffee even when explained ..
One steward the second time they brought me a coffee which was too full , went away then returned having halved the cup ...
that is his solution of " Ristretto " ... anyhow overall Thre attempts by Thre people resulted in " watery coffee"
I asked one of the flight attendants to let me sit closer to the bathroom as I needed to use restroom often and didn't wanted to bother other people. Once we took of she provided and open seat. That was really helpful
The checking in desk representatives had no authority to change or modify any seating arrangements. Also, the first row seats are left open so the flight attendants can charge 100 aed to anyone wants to seat on those seats. I found this to be silly. Also, their baggage policy is ridiculous. No baggage authorization for international travel! One have to buy it separately.
There was no free entertainment as is the normal process with the doha-dubai flight. They ENTIRE flight was warm and the Air Con vents did not work. My child needed water because of how hot it was, and the only way to do that was to pay. I will always carry water from now on! The seats were extremely uncomfortable. There was no communication as to why the flight was being delayed.
Really great entertainment for a 7hr flight. Really kept me occupied and happy. Food tasted good! I got Indian food and was pleasantly surprised at how yummy it was.
The crew wasn't very nice, I'm a very friendly person and the flight attendants (who I only talked to when they gave me food) were hard to hear (I was on the window side) and got mad when I couldn't hear them and I asked them to repeat themselves. Also no one smiled at me. They just shoved food at me and moved on. I know jobs get boring and annoying, I work in retail I understand, but a smile isn't that hard especially when I smile at you.
The boarding process went well and was organized. The cabin staff was welcoming and very presentable. The seats were fine, even in economy. The uniforms on the cabin staff were attractive andnthey looked well on the girls. The staff, both male and female, were friendly and pleasant. The flight was fine, a little late, but not the fault of the airline. I would fly this airline again.
The plane didn't go up in flames? At least not while I was on it. With all the corner cutting on this airilne I'm surprised the damn thing even took off.
Their only saving grace was free beer, which was begrudgingly provided and helped me cope with this horrible flight.
The entire ordeal was a nightmare. Where to being?
- Website was broken, couldn't check in online.
- Couldn't check in from my initial airport service desk.
- Couldn't check in at transfer desk at Amsterdam, had to literally RUN to the gate to get a last minute 'standby seat', after booking the flight 2 months in advance.
- Once I finally got on the aircraft I was seated in a dirty seat, with snot goblins stuck to the window and an in-flight entertainment display that was literally covered in so much filth the touchscreen wouldn't respond.
- The cabin crew was unresponsive and unsympathetic to requests, to the point of blatant rudeness. I gave my blanket to a woman who was traveling with an infant and was denied another blanket by the crew.
- I tried to get up and get some water mid-flight and was informed, by a steward who was annoyed that I had interrupted his reading, that drinks will only be available when the drink cart comes by.
- When the drink cart did come by, the beer I requested was begrudgingly handed out. Almost as if the steward was trying to hide it , and trying to push bitter, oversteeped tea on me instead. (And no, I was not even close to drunk, but I wish I was)
- One stewardess was standing guard over the business class bathroom which they kept locked from passengers in the 'cattle' section of the plane.
- Getting to the restroom in the back of the plane involved dodging the service cart and multiple unhelpful passengers who wouldn't even move to the empty seat next to them to let anyone though.
- Food gave me indigestion, which didn't help with the bathroom situation.
Worst flight I've been on, and I've had some dodgy flights. It was basically trapped in a flying sweatbox of the worst Indian stereotypes for 8 and a half hours. Never again.
It was barely two hours and that kept me from having to go to a Malaysian hospital.
Having Multiple Sclerosis & extreme neuropathy plus being postop with two major abdominal surgeries just weeks before, I called customer service and they guaranteed my medical needs would be met at the gate. They were not and not having a bulkhead seat on the first 2 hour leg from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur caused me massive pain and circulatory issues - in spite of surgical note requiring it. Not good assistance over phone or in Bangkok.
