My flight from Shanghai to Beijing was delayed more than 4 hours, which let to missing the connecting flight from Beijing to JFK. Then the nightmare started. It was after midnight when we arrived at Beijing airport. The staff offered no help with re-booking and hotels. I had to spend the night sitting on the cold floor, hungry and anxious till the ticket counter reopened in the morning. The morning staff were even worse than the night crew. They were extremely rude, unprofessional, they lied and insulted customers. Very disappointed with Air China. Will file an official complaint.
The flight was canceled but United and delta were still flying to New York. Air China was not working with them to help us. The earliest next flight was five days later...... their staff were extremely unprofessional. I asked to update to business class. One staff told me it was 1300usd, another one told me it was 3600usd, and one told me it was 10,000 usd???
The screen was fault.
My wife fell down at the departure hall of PVG and had a small cut on her face. We got immediate medical attention and coordinated assistence from the ground personel and air crews (CA1884, CA989). We are very grateful for the exceptional help.
I requested a special meal which was very good. My flight was comfortable and on time.
I would have liked to be able to check in earlier. I arrived at the airport 4 hours ahead and was only able to check in 3 hours ahead.
For such a classy airline, they have terrible coffee and tea
Flew Business class from SIN to CAN. Seats were OK, crew was very attentive and eager to please. Food was good.

The crew was very helpful and kind despite not having much to offer the economy customers.
There was no way to charge a phone or electronic device. I had set up my phone with hours of movies and tv shows that I could watch on the plane. I thought that this was truly unacceptable to not have the option to charge a device for a 15 hour flight. There was an in-flight entertainment system, however my sound did not work so I could not listen to anything and there was not options for english subtitles. There were also no current movies or shows available. I was very disappointed in the options for entertainment on such a long flight. I am only 5'4 and I found my knees hitting the seat in front of me when they were reclined which was a majority of the fight. It was very uncomfortable. Food and drink service was far and few between, I hate bothering them for water but there was enough available or disseminated throughout the flight. and Not sure if it was the food, the turbulence or a combination of both, but many people were nauseous and vomiting on the plane. There were not bags readily available for those people to vomit in and the back of the plane and lavatories ended up being out of service due to uncleanliness.
A-380 seems to be significantly quieter than the 777.
No entertainment, not even an English language newspaper. Delayed boarding and departure, as usual.
Extra leg room in emergency exit row They actually played a movie that was in English. Not the first time I have flown China Southern, but the first time I had air control above. This is something I feel makes flight a bit more comfortable.
Food is terrible. They ran out of wine during first beverage service. Exit row passengers are not permitted to keep items under seat. Flight was delayed at take off and perhaps in route because we were over an hour off of schedule. Aircraft always had a line for the bathroom, two is not enough for amount of people and duration of flight. I do not know if there was bathroom in front, it was sectioned off.
Didn't know what to expect. Terminals beautiful and new in Xi'an and Chengdu. Check-in super easy. Flight was great, attendants very professional. This is what we should aim for in the US. Metro from Chengdu airport to downtown was a dream.
