She then made my flight a nightmare, until I let her sit in my aisle seat. Even then she was not satisfied, she abused me the whole flight damaged the screen so I could not use it until the steward fixed it. Demanded that I except any and all alcohol to give to her to drink. When I am tea total she then continued to abuse me. I asked the steward to move me he just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nowhere else. This is definitely my the worst flight I have experienced."

Pros: "On both of my flights to New York City, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the flight attendants were to the passengers. On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

I had to wait for a small plane coming from Edinburgh then wait for it to be emptied of passengers and cleaned. This meant we were over 2 hours late into Istanbul. No explanation or apology. I then missed my next flight in Istanbul and had to purchase another ticket. I cannot believe that air passengers are treated in this way!!! I will follow this up with KLM when I go home from my holiday."

Cons: "Flight delayed ... Myself and three other colleagues didn't have our luggage show up from KLM flight from Amsterdam to Brussels...even though all of our luggage was labeled "priority". Once in customer service line, we looked and saw that many of the other passengers on our flight also never received their luggage. We estimated that 20-25% of the people on that flight did not receive their luggage as they were in line with us for the same problem. Hard to understand how so many pieces of luggage could have been overlooked and not loaded on our flight. Obviously there is a huge gap in their quality system to ensure mistakes like this are prevented."

"[  ] Chaotic is an understatement! I was flying from Helsinki to Los Angeles via Stockholm and eventhough I booked everything directly thru finnair, they gave me only 35 min to change planes that required crossing accross terminal 5 and going thru customs. I asked helped to different staff multiple times and no one cared. Finally when I made it to the gate the flight had been delayed because finnair did the same thing to other flights yet the app and website never updated. Finnair made several of us think we had missed our flight! [  ] Then when I got to the gate, the staff checked all of my documents again eventhough I had been checked in Finland less than 2 hrs before. If you fly with Finnair get ready for chaos. [  ] Messy online presence. Too many emails saying the same thing but hard to find relevant information (for example, I couldn't find any information about the trip from Stockholm to LAX) [  ] they provide the option to check in online and tag your bags at the airport but then have no bag drop line at some airports. [  ] Luggage information in Helsinki was never clear and caused us to step out and have to ring the doorbell to get our bags. It took forever for someone to open the door. [  ] Staff are careless about customer comfort. In rovaniemi, we had to board thru the tarmac and the attendants didn't care that people had to wait outdoor on freezing temperatures while the passengers were taking forever to put in their luggage and sit down. [  ] the only positive is that the airplanes are in good condition."

The only reason I booked these particular flights is because they were advertized as "the shortest trip" time on your website..."

So, the flight was uncomfortable. Then the food was poor. The selection of films was uninspired. The service was indifferent, disinterested, ungenerous. There was something meager, miserly in the whole experience. They are obviously maximizing profits at the expense of the customer, who seems totally disregarded. I would not choose this airline again!"

Boarding: flight delayed for more than 1 hour, with passengers sitting all this time in the plane and waiting for all connection flights to arrive. As a result we arrived late for our connection flight. The Finnair people that met the passengers on exit form the plain did not provide any information how we should proceed next. We were left to figure it out by ourselves. Crew: The impression was that all the flight attendants from HiFly were untrained. The did not know what to do an how to do. They seemed lost on the plane. Comfort: Plane seemed to be re-purchased from some Arab airline. Food: bad Entertainment: v system was broken. Information system was showing wrong current time."

Bad communication with the client. They told us when I asked several times that we would not lose our connection and that everything was fine and that was not the case. We lost the connection. No one told us anything. Another problem was that the girl in the boarding process removed the suitcases tickets from the boarding pass and did not want to return them, and held it without any cause. The flight staff went looking for us. Pretty sad and disappointed by their service. I understand that they were causes outside the airline but must communicate to the client. They cannot remain silent and say nothing."

Nevdr informed what was happening, never offered to move our seats or move iIl passengers. Glad all turned out ok. Could have given them more privacy and better informed other passengers."

"The check in counter at the airport did not open early enough, I arrived 4 hrs prior to my flight to the airport and waited for 1 1/2 hrs for the counter to open. I already had paid extra for my luggage online for both ways and they did not have any records of it. I had no internet on my phone so I could not download the receipt it should've been added to my itinerary so I was charged TWICE. Terrible online service that info is not sync with the reservation. Also my name was incorrect and they charged $30 for a name change when they had already helped me adjust that in Boston. There is a lot it could've done better. for such a long flight at least some peanuts or a free small snack would be appreciated. TV entertainment did not have a great variety either. definitely not having Icelandair as my first option unless it is way cheaper than other options but I know what I'll be paying for."

"Never again will I fly to Europe on Icelandair. It took me 1.5 hours to check-in in Berlin (one person working the counter, another one handling the “express” line, no opportunity to get a boarding pass at home), Came to the airport 2 hrs before but after I cleared security, the display showed last call for my flight with 2 min remaining. Ran. Did not shop, did not eat, did not buy food to take onboard. Icelandair sells a limited number of food items (a chicken sandwich - not for a vegetarian - and a cheese pizza as well as several snacks), no complimentary food is served. This is what they call “simplified onboard service”. Connection in Reykjavík was 1hr 25 min, and all of this time I stood in line to clear passport control: again no shopping, no eating, and not even a bathroom break. Arrived home famished and super annoyed. Had to buy headphones on board (is this a budget airline?!) and the selection of movies left much to be desired."

On flight from Iceland to Portland the gate did not even start boarding until close to official departure time and plane left about 30 minutes late. Result I barely made my last connection in Portland but my luggage did not arrive because maybe customs checking took too long."

Cons: "No trash pickup for an 8 hour flight, so trash was all over the plane by the end of the flight. Elderly gentleman soiled his pants and was wandering around the plane touching all the seats. Flight attendants were very nice, but provided almost NO service for an 8 hour flight. Lack of cleanliness will keep me from flying this airline again."

Pros: "I just want to give a particular shout out to Marta from flight FI655 REK to PDX on April 10th. I was extremely dehydrated and blacked out for a moment. Next thing I know, the crew is on me, asking me questions, trying to get me some help. They found a doctor on the flight and attended to me extremely calmly. They got me a nice seat where Marta checked on me for the rest of the flight, made sure I ate and drank something, got my things from my seat, and overall gave me far more attention than I could have ever asked for. Thanks, Marta! (Please give this woman a raise or a medal or something.)"

Skeptical, I verified this twice at Stockholm ARL by checking computer and with the bagge agent. She reassured me I would have long leg room. Upon boarding, I quickly learned I had been misled: I had a middle seat with short leg room and between two passengers. A flight attendant declined to listen or help me even though better seats were available. It turned out to be my worst trans-oceanic flight among 1 to 2 dozen in my life."

Some planes are older and not as comfortable but there is no way to know ahead of time. The USB port does not charge your device and there is no electrical plug even though it is advertised. After a flight they fold the blankets and reuse the pillows....yuck!"

It seems like if they are going to accommodate so many large international flights that they would figure out that their infrastructure really needs some upgrades. Can't imagine what it would have been like if the weather had been poor which of course it often is in Iceland! Also, going to Europe, we received a couple of meals and on this flight no food was served. The food they did offer was over priced."

Cons: "Crowding and standing room only in Reykjavik terminal at the gate with no seating available was very difficult. There were several gates located in one small area very close together and no way to queue up for your particular gate. People were pushing through the crowd from the back to find their gate instead of being able to form an orderly line. If you are elderly or compromised in any way, this can be very stressful and uncomfortable. Our boarding was delayed and it was a miserable experience standing for so long with people pushing past us. Riding the buses and carrying our bags up several stairs to get on the plane was not easy and we were stressed and exhausted by the experience. The seats in this plane were not as comfortable as the flight from Helsinki. The seats were small and not deep enough, and had no foot rests. So the longest part of our flight to Portland was not as comfortable. Riding the bus from our arrival gate and baggage area in Portland and on to the main terminal was difficult. After getting our checked bags though customs and piled onto a cart along with our carry on bags, we had to unload them all into the bus and ride standing up holding on to everything while the driver went a little too fast, making it very hard to stay standing. Again, this makes it very stressful and difficult for anyone who is older or compromised physically. Iceland Air is not a friend of the elderly!"

"The airport delayed sending our COVID test results. We were told it would be a 40 min process but it took over an hour. We got the results 5 mins after the gate closed and they refused to help us make our flight. We had to sleep in the airport floor overnight because they said the only thing they could do was put us on the next flight at 9:35am the next morning - they said that the ere was no way to switch us to another flight that night because we booked on kayak and not directly through the airline. The staffs attitudes were cold and unfeeling and a different staff member that was present but not directly trying to help us in any way was openly rude and vindictive."

The attendants showed up to the desk at 8, with no sign as to when they would show up even though the desk was getting called constantly starting at 7am. was told that in dublin we would have to check in to flight and we would be assigned seats then. even thought the attendant printed our boarding passes for the connecting flight but did not give them to us. When in dublin was told that we had already been checked in and we could have been assigned our seats in madrid by the connections desk. When talking to others on same flight they told us they were allowed to checkin into all flights and had no issues at the airport"

This was 1 of the 2 worst flights that I have ever been on, only second to my other booked flight for this trip home. This flight was 7+ hours long and it was nothing short of horrible. The seats were extremely uncomfortable and barely went back at all. The male flight attendant was clearly annoyed and was short with every person who would ask for anything. He would roll his eyes at every request by customers. At one point I saw him literally toss a sandwich into a customers lap because they were turned the other way and didn't hear him when he asked if they wanted one. There was no way to watch anything unless you had your own device and had downloaded it yourself prior to the flight."

I was not able to change my flight for this trip had to do it at the counter; but the friend who i was traveling with did have the ability to do so. I went early to the airport in Johannesburg to ensure we could sit together but the workers in terminal A sent me to terminal B (even though they were closed and didn't open until 3) then i went to the ticketing desk and they said they couldn't' help me. so i ask them to call British Airways help desk (since i didn't have a phone internationally) and they said they were closed on the weekend. I wrote the gentleman's name down but i don't have it with me right now. I was finally able to get my seat changed when i checked in at 6pm; lucky there were seats available. I would say the customer service at Johannesburg airport for BA is terrible."
